Bayinbuluke means Fengquan in Mongolian, which means "abundant spring water". The grassland is flat and has abundant water and grass. It is a typical grass meadow grassland.
It is one of the most important animal husbandry bases in Xinjiang. It not only has the winding Kaidu River, but also the elegant and charming Swan Lake.
The best time to visit Bayinbuluke Grassland is from June to September every year, as it is relatively cold at other times.

Swan Lake is not very interesting, the main thing is to watch the sunset over the winding Kaidu River. If you don't want to watch the sunset, or it's rainy and you can't watch the sunset, it's recommended not to go to Bayinbuluke.
I didn't spend another 20 yuan to take the shuttle bus to the sunset viewing platform, but climbed up the wooden plank road, which was not too far away. The sunset was beautiful. I was really lucky that day. It was cloudy, but the sun came out.
Early in the morning we set out from Bayinbuluke to Yuli. The blue sky and white clouds set off the snow-capped mountains and grasslands. The light blue snow-capped mountain water flowed along the stream, drawing a beautiful lonely line. This is a paradise for cattle, horses, sheep, swans and seagulls.
A wetland lies quietly beside the road, with European birds playing nearby and snow-capped mountains and geese flying south in the distance. It is so beautiful.
A seven-character poem
——The beautiful Bayinbuluke wetland grassland
The water in the grassland wetlands is blue, and the autumn breeze gently creates ripples.
European birds are busy flying and playing, while the fat cattle and sheep are leisurely.
The winding river twists and turns, and the undulating lake reflects chaotic images.
White snow falls on the distant mountains, and geese fly south under the clear sky.
——Excerpt from my travel notes: "Poetic Tour of China: Xinjiang (XII) Beautiful Bayinbuluke, Sunset on the Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns"
The most impressive thing about this attraction is that the distance from the gate to the attraction is 45 kilometers long, and the sightseeing bus takes almost an hour to run on the winding road! Tourists complained angrily that in order to make money, there is no half-price ticket, only those over 70 years old can get a free ticket, and they have to buy a section ticket, and the sightseeing bus ticket is so expensive, 75 yuan. This may be the highest in the country!
We arrived at 6:40. This time was well controlled. We arrived at the visitor center 20 minutes before the ticket sales stopped. After buying the tickets, we caught the last shuttle bus. After arriving at the end, we stayed in the yurt in the scenic area. The conditions were pretty good. We were very lucky today and saw the spectacular sunset. The time difference between Bayinbuluke and Beijing time is about two hours. It was already a little after ten o'clock after sunset. After we finished shooting, we took the last battery car in the scenic area back to our accommodation. The food here is good.
After entering the scenic area, you will first take a sightseeing bus, and then you can start the tour after being transferred to the core scenic area. The sightseeing bus does not depart immediately after boarding, but departs according to the timetable.
Before coming to Swan Home, I read a comment on China-TravelNote saying that there were only one or two swans in the Swan Lake whose wings had been clipped for fear of them flying away. But when I actually felt it, it was not that exaggerated. There were still a considerable number of swans there.
We went directly to the third stop, which is the terminal, a service center. From this service center to the deepest scenic spot in the scenic area, Jiuqu Shibawan and Tongxin Island Observation Deck, the distance is about 3 kilometers. You can walk in or take an electric car for an additional fee.
The scenery along the way is also great. Of course, you have to choose to walk in. The 3-kilometer road is not too long. You can see the viewing platform of Jiuqu Shibawan from a distance. There is a plank road next to the platform that can lead all the way down to the edge of Jiuqu Shibawan, but most tourists will still choose to stay on the viewing platform, taking advantage of the terrain and waiting.
Continuing along the plank road, there is another viewing point called Tongxin Island. Tongxin Island is close to the end of the plank road, on the deepest hillside of the scenic area. There are many herdsmen pulling horses here to solicit tourists for horseback riding business.
When I returned to the Jiuqu Shibawan viewing platform, I was completely shocked. This small viewing platform was packed with people waiting to take pictures of the sunset. And looking at the plank road at the back, there were even more people rushing here in an endless stream... There were railings on the viewing platform, so there was only one row in the front row, and it was purely based on reserving a seat in advance. It was obvious that in this cramped space, the only few front row seats must have been firmly occupied by a group of old drivers carrying cameras and tripods. Latecomers like us could only try to fight for a position behind the old drivers to raise our cameras to take pictures.
My body was slowly being hollowed out by the camera held above my head, and the salted egg yolk was slowly falling near the horizon. The sun was still struggling hard, emitting its last bit of heat, and the sky near the ground was dyed red by the afterglow of the sunset. When the last bit of starlight disappeared in the sky, the crowd gradually dispersed with satisfied exclamations.
The battery car station for returning to the transfer center is the battery car that travels back and forth between the transfer center and Jiuqu Shibawan. The battery car is fully open. It is very cold and windy on the grassland after sunset. It is best to wear all the cold-proof and warm items on your body to avoid catching a cold.
At about 6 pm, we finally arrived at the entrance of Bayinbuluke scenic area. We thought we were lucky and could see the sunset of the Nine Bends and Eighteen Bays of Bayinbuluke, but the staff ruthlessly told us that they had gone off work at 6 pm and would not let us in no matter how much we explained. The sunset on the grassland at the gate was just as beautiful! We also saw the golden mountain in the sun on the opposite hill!
Bayinbuluke Grassland can be described in one word: big! There is nothing but grassland. It is different from the sky grassland like Nalati. It is surrounded by mountains but has no forest. Compared with Nalati Grassland, it is bigger and more vast, and you can't see the end at a glance. The sheep are wandering on the grassland like white clouds. On this golden and fluffy grassland, people think of the scene of "the sky is vast, the wilderness is vast, and the wind blows the grass low to reveal the cattle and sheep". Nine bends and eighteen turns meander through the Bayinbuluke Grassland. It is said that at sunset in the evening, when the sun sets from the horizon, thousands of rays of light shine on the grassland. At the most beautiful time, nine suns can be reflected.
The car was driving on the Bayinbuluke grassland. On the right was a meadow with undulating and graceful lines. There were lakes and streams scattered in the meadow from time to time, embracing the blue sky, white clouds and meadow all at once. It was clear and transparent, and even the air seemed transparent. On the left, the vast and gentle grassland melted into a row of dark green mountains on the horizon. On the top of the mountains were overlapping snow-capped peaks. The snow-capped peaks were entangled with the white clouds in the sky, and it was difficult to tell which was the cloud and which was the snow. The white clouds sinking halfway up the waist were like a jade belt, setting off the snow-capped mountains more majestic and magnificent.
Because we came from the Duku Highway, we experienced the four seasons along the way, saw the sharp mountains, the magical powers of swords and axes, and crossed over one mountain after another, and suddenly there appeared a vast grassland and wetlands as far as the eye could see, with lush grass and water, rivers and lakes everywhere, and surrounded by mountains. I can't help but sigh that Emperor Qianlong at that time settled the Donggui tribes, the Torghut and other Mongolian tribes in the lush grass and water of the Bayinbuluke grassland and the Kaidu River basin, letting them settle in this holy land in the Tianshan Mountains. It was really a very happy thing.
First, when you arrive at Bayinbuluke Town, it is actually a 2.3-kilometer street with many places to eat and stay. The gate of the scenic spot is about 1 kilometer southwest of the town. People usually go to Jiuqu Shibawan to watch the sunset. Tickets start to be purchased at 8 o'clock in the morning. The area of the scenic spot is very large, but the only road on the grassland is the road in the scenic spot. It is dozens of kilometers from the town to the scenic spots deep in the grassland via this road, so you must buy a ticket to enter the scenic spot to visit the grassland and shoot Swan Lake and Jiuqu Shibawan. In addition, private cars are not allowed to enter this road, so the interval ticket of the scenic spot is also a must.
The one-way distance of the scenic area's shuttle bus is 45 kilometers (about 1 hour and 20 minutes). On the way, it will stop at three areas: Barun Kure Temple, Swan Lake Area, and Basilik Observation Deck (i.e. Jiuqu Shibawan Observation Deck). Tourists can enjoy themselves in each place, and then take the subsequent shuttle bus to the next area. The shuttle bus in the scenic area will start when it is full. Generally, there will be a trip within half an hour during the peak season. After visiting the last Basilik Observation Deck, you can take the bus back the same way. It takes about half a day to a day in total.
We arrived in early September, and it was already entering the off-season. The peak season is from June to August. The temperature difference in early September is very large, and the temperature difference between morning and evening is very large. It is windy. If you want to watch the sunset, you need to wear more warm clothes. We went up during the day and also wore long sleeves, fleece and jackets.
It is worth noting that the last public shuttle bus from the Basilik Observation Deck back to the scenic area gate is at 22:00 at night. If you exceed this time, you will need to call the scenic area vehicle dispatch center to call a separate car, but you will need to pay for the shuttle tickets for all seats on the bus. The price is very expensive, so please pay attention to the time when you visit.
The quality of dairy products in pastoral areas is very good, and the yogurt is delicious. You can try it.
In the mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan, we met an elderly couple from Beijing. We were reminded that we had to rush to the Bayinbuluke Grassland Scenic Area before 6:30 p.m. that day, otherwise we would not be able to see the rare sunset of Jiuqu Shibawan. In fact, we still underestimated the journey from the Grand Canyon to Bayinbuluke. After entering the grassland, we were always on the road and missed a lot of beautiful scenery. Finally, we bought tickets as the last two tourists a few minutes before the scenic area closed. It was dangerous. While waiting in line for the bus, someone saw me wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt and reminded me that it was very cold in the scenic area at night and I needed to put on more clothes. We took turns running back to the car to get our coats and put them on. After that, I was very glad to have listened to this advice. Otherwise, even if we could resist freezing, the mosquitoes in the scenic area would have killed us. It was more than an hour's drive on the scenic bus, and we finally arrived at the Jiuqu Shibawan scenic spot. We passed the Swan Lake in the middle. Because it was late, we didn't get off the bus. Let's go next time. After the dog came to Bayinbuluke, he felt like an eagle flying in the sky and a fish entering the sea. I have never seen it so happy, letting go of its limbs and running as much as it wants; showing the most primitive instincts in its genes. The grassland near dusk is picturesque. The mosquitoes on the grassland are very scary. They can penetrate the clothes and get into the flesh. There are several bites on the face. You can imagine how painful it would be if you don’t wear outer clothes. The famous sunset of Jiuqu Shibawan is well-deserved. The sun has not yet disappeared, and a huge crescent moon on the Bayinbuluke grassland has hung in the sky, curved like a thin line but clear and dazzling. I don’t remember how long ago I saw this kind of landscape. It may be traced back to childhood, or it may just be my imagination in my mind. I lined up at the reception desk of the scenic spot, and the sun completely went down. It was almost half past ten in the evening, and the temperature was getting lower and lower. I could clearly feel the cold invading my body. It was pitch black around us. We lined up at the end of the team, waiting for the scenic spot car to pick us up. When I looked up, I saw a sky full of stars, crystal clear, covering the sky, flickering and blurry, always giving me the illusion that I could touch them, like a dream. I sat on the "big seat" next to the driver on the bus, which originally belonged to the conductor. The bus was a little noisy, but I was not disturbed at all. My consciousness seemed to be no longer on this bus. My eyes were fixed on the huge crescent moon hanging on the horizon in front of me. My mind was free of distractions and as peaceful as water.
The yellow-green carpet in front of you gives you a sense of sudden enlightenment, like encountering a paradise. When you come here, the first feeling is the vastness.
You can feel the endless feeling of excitement.
It is a long way from the tourist center of the scenic area to the scenic area by shuttle bus.
There are three stopover spots in the scenic area
The first attraction is the authentic Swan Lake, which is said to be the habitat of wild swans.
The second attraction is the Barun Kure Temple, which was originally a mobile temple carried by herdsmen on horse-drawn carriages. We did not get off the bus at the first two attractions.
The third stop is the highlight, called the Basilik Observation Deck, where you can see the winding paths and bends.
The best season to travel to Bayinbuluke is from July to August. When we arrived, the grass had already turned yellow, so we didn’t hold out much hope. But it was a snowfall that gave Bayinbuluke a white coat, giving us a surprise!
Tickets: Bayinbuluke - Ticket 65, Shuttle bus 90 (Special reminder: drones are not allowed in the scenic area. I was called back by the staff halfway through the flight)
In the autumn of Bayinbuluke Grassland, golden and green interweave, just like a gorgeous oil painting. On the vast grassland, sheep are leisurely, horses are galloping, and the snow-capped mountains in the distance are shining in the sun. The autumn breeze blows, bringing a hint of coolness, making people feel relaxed and happy, and intoxicated in this poetic and picturesque autumn scenery.
Bayinbuluke Prairie is the second largest prairie in China after Hulunbuir Prairie in Inner Mongolia. We entered Bayinbuluke Prairie at 4 pm. The weather became cloudy. We went straight to the tourist center of the scenic spot, hoping to see the sunset of Jiuqu Shibawan and the unique natural landscape of nine suns in the water. See the only fixed Buddhist temple on the grassland, Barun Temple, Swan Bay, and Torghut Folk Culture Village. However, self-driving vehicles are not allowed to enter the scenic area here. You must take the scenic area shuttle bus at the tourist center. The shuttle buses here are all buses with more than 40 seats. The shuttle bus only stops at three stations, Swan Bay, Barun Temple and Jiuqu Shibawan. It is about 68 kilometers from the tourist center to Jiuqu Shibawan, and it takes one and a half hours to arrive.
Bayinbuluke Grassland is located in the mountain basin in the northwest of Hejing County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, and the middle of the Tianshan Mountains. Bayinbuluke means "never-drying sweet spring" in Mongolian. The combination of snowmelt and rainfall has formed a large number of never-drying swamps and lakes on the grassland. With an altitude of about 2,500 meters and an area of 23,835 square kilometers, it is the second largest grassland in China, the largest subalpine meadow grassland in China, and the most fertile summer pasture in the southern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains. The movie "Speeding Life" has made this scenic spot even more famous.
In fact, a large part of the road out of the mountainous area is speeding on the vast Bayinbuluke grassland. We are not speeding through life, but the grassland and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. The time when the Bayinbuluke grassland was lush has passed, and it does not have the feeling of Hulunbuir. Let's take a look at the introduction of the Bayinbuluke grassland:
Bayinbuluke Grassland, formerly known as Yuledus Grassland, Zhuledus Grassland, and Youludus Grassland. It is the second largest grassland in China after Ordos in Inner Mongolia. It is one of the main rivers in Xinjiang, and the place where the Kaidu River flows. The Kaidu River is a tributary of the Peacock River. Although the water volume at the source is not large, it absorbs more than a dozen rivers developed from the snow-capped mountains in the middle reaches. The "Liusha River" in the legend of "Journey to the West" refers to the current Kaidu River. It is said that the "Shanjing Island" where Tang Monk went to obtain Buddhist scriptures is in Hejing County. It was the resettlement place of the Torghut Mongolian tribe led by Wubaxi in 1774.
Bayinbuluke, which means "rich spring water" in Mongolian, mainly relies on snow-capped mountain meltwater, rainwater and groundwater, which have created a large number of wetlands, swamps and lakes. Standing on the Bayinbuluke grassland, you can see a clear blue sky with white clouds surging. Snow-capped mountains, blue sky, white clouds, mountain flowers, pine forests, yurts, sheep and Tianshan horses are integrated into one, forming a picturesque natural landscape.
Bayinbuluke Grassland is located in Hejing County, Bayinguoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture. Bayinbuluke means Fengquan in Mongolian, which means "abundant spring water". It is an inter-mountain basin in the middle section of the Tianshan Mountains, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with an altitude of about 2,500 meters and an area of 23,835 square kilometers. The grassland has a flat terrain and abundant water and grass. It is a typical grass meadow grassland. There is not only a paradise surrounded by snow-capped mountains, but also the Kaidu River with "nine bends and eighteen turns", and the elegant and charming Swan Lake.
The Bayinbuluke Grassland, located next to the G217 Duku Highway, is a major scenic spot and a place that almost all travel agencies and independent travelers must visit. Although the ticket + scenic area fare costs 140 yuan, and there is a 20 yuan round-trip shuttle bus fee after arriving at the scenic area, tourists still flock to it for the winding "Nine Suns".
The movie "Speeding Life" was filmed here, but there is no racing track as described in the movie. There are only beautiful scenery, grasslands, wild horses, swans, snow-capped mountains and lakes. The beauty here is never enough.
"Bayinbuluke" means "abundant spring water" in Mongolian. It is located in the alpine basin in the middle of the Tianshan Mountains, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with an altitude of about 2,500 meters. There are abundant water and grass, rivers and lakes everywhere, and the rolling hills and vast meadows are interspersed, creating a very beautiful scenery.
The filming location of the movie "Speeding Life", a place where jackets or down jackets are still needed in August. The visitor center is in the town. From here, you can take the scenic area shuttle bus and drive dozens of kilometers to go deep into the scenic area to reach the scenic spot. The sunset time on the day of our visit was around 21:30. Before 20 o'clock, the people waiting to take pictures of the sunset on the viewing platform of Jiuqu Shibawan were already three layers inside and three layers outside. It was impossible to squeeze in, and with the arrival of sunset, mosquitoes arrived in batches. Before coming, I heard that the mosquitoes here were very large. It really lived up to its reputation. Several of them surrounded you and had to drill in through your clothes. We evacuated decisively. In fact, if you are not a photography enthusiast, it is not recommended to come to this attraction. In addition to taking pictures of Jiuqu Shibawan under the sunset, other scenery is far inferior to Kuokesu Canyon and Nalati.
From Nalati, drive south along the Duku Highway for 100 kilometers to Bayinbuluke.
The Bayinbuluke Grassland is located in a basin in the central part of the Tianshan Mountains, covering an area of nearly 1,000 square kilometers. Looking around, you can see endless grasslands and the beautiful Tianshan Mountains in the distance.
Bayinbuluke Grassland is located in the northwest of Hejing County, Bayinguoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, in the mountain basin in the middle of the Tianshan Mountains, with an altitude of 2,300-2,800 meters and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Bayinbuluke means "rich spring water" in Mongolian. The grassland is flat and has abundant water and grass. It is the second largest grassland in China and one of the most important animal husbandry bases in Xinjiang.
Bayinbuluke Swamp Wetland was also selected as one of the most beautiful swamp wetlands in China by "National Geographic China".
The Bayinbuluke Swan Lake, located in the Bayinbuluke Grassland, is the largest swan nature reserve in Asia and the only one in my country, and is home to the largest population of wild swans in my country.
In the past, Swan Lake was a landmark scenic spot in Bayinbuluke, where tourists could get close to wild swans in the reserve. However, too many tourists have caused great impact on the ecological environment. Since 2017, the Swan Nature Reserve has been closed to the public.
There is still a Swan Lake attraction in the current Bayinbuluke Scenic Area, which should actually be called the "Swan Home". What you see here are actually some artificially raised swans.
There are many rivers on the Bayinbuluke grassland. The Kaidu River winding through the grassland is known as the "Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns". Some people also say that the Kaidu River with nine bends and eighteen turns is the Tongtian River in the familiar "Journey to the West".
The nine bends and eighteen turns have become the iconic landscape of Bayinbuluke. Many promotional photos were taken here. It is said that this is the only place on earth where nine suns can be seen.
The new visitor center was built on the edge of the town and you can see it as soon as you enter the town. The entrance to the scenic area is actually on the other side of the town.
The entrance fee to the scenic spot is 65 yuan, and Wing Card is available.
Using the Yikatong card, you must first go through facial recognition at the service center, and then purchase a shuttle ticket for 75 yuan per person. There is no queue in the off-season, and the bus will depart when it is full. The shuttle bus has three stops in total. The first one did not stop, and the second one was Swan Lake. I arrived at around 6 o'clock. I took photos along the plank road by the Swan Lake, which took about 40 minutes. The third one was a temple, and it stopped for a while but no one got off. I arrived at the end of the shuttle bus at nearly 7 o'clock, which is also the transfer station.
From the transfer station to the observation deck, you need to take a battery car, which costs 20 yuan for a round trip. You can also walk. It takes about 40 minutes.
The top of the mountain is quite large, and it takes a lot of time to walk around. It is better to come up an hour in advance.
After asking the hotel owner, he said it would be better for us to go to the visitor center to buy tickets at 18:30. If we go in early, we will have to wait. Note: The visitor center stops selling tickets at 19:00! When we arrived at the visitor center, we found that the circular hall was already crowded with people. The queue was two circles long. Everyone was rushing to the sunset at this time. Ticket + shuttle bus = 160. The shuttle bus stopped at 3 stations: Swan Lake, Barunkure Temple and Brasilia Service Area. This scenic spot is really big. It took half an hour for the shuttle bus to the first station-Swan Lake!
As we were walking towards the lake, we heard people returning complaining: "It's just a pond, no swans, boring!" We immediately turned back.
At the second stop, Barun Kure Temple, almost no one got off the bus.
We arrived at the terminal, Brasilia Service Area, at around 8pm. It took us an hour on the road! It is 3 kilometers (uphill) from the Jiuqu Shibawan and Tongxin Island Observation Deck. You can walk, ride a horse, or take a sightseeing bus. The round trip sightseeing bus costs 20 yuan, and the one-way trip costs 10 yuan. We couldn't suppress our anxiety and excitement, and we also learned from the lessons of missing that brief and beautiful moment many times, so we decisively chose the round-trip sightseeing bus. There are several observation decks on it. Among them, the one below (on the right) is for viewing Jiuqu Shibawan, and the one above (on the left) is for viewing Tongxin Island. We decided to go up first, see Tongxin Island, and then turn back to wait for the sunset. This river is the Kaidu River, and the one in the middle of the river is Tongxin Island, far away on the left side of the river valley. In terms of scenery, Tongxin Island is the most beautiful, it is simply amazing! ! ! The pollution index here is actually 1! ! !
We hurriedly turned back from Tongxin Island to the viewing platform below to grab a spot, but it was already crowded. Later, we finally squeezed out a spot on the plank road, which was actually not bad. As the sunset approached, the sunlight finally broke through the dark clouds and sprinkled on the world! There was a jubilation on the viewing platform... Wow, you are finally here!!! At this time, the sun is north, so there are no 9 suns to see. It is said that you have to wait until the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. But I was very lucky to see the spectacular sunset.
The main attraction of Bayinbuluke is the Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns. The weather must be good to see the beautiful sunset. It takes about 50 minutes to take the shuttle bus from the entrance of the scenic area to the Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns, and then take the battery car up the mountain to the viewing platform. You can also walk up and walk 3 kilometers on a gentle slope. It is a good hiking trip. The viewing plank road has a large range, but the best viewing spots are very limited. It is said that you have to stand there 2 or 3 hours in advance to grab the best shooting location. We encountered heavy rain and there was no one. This Mongolian temple in the scenic area is very tasteful. The densely packed swallows on the roof of the main hall are flying around. I have only seen the same situation in the Lama Temple.
Played on July 14th.
The ticket plus the shuttle bus costs a total of 140/person. Self-driving cars are not allowed to enter, so you must buy the shuttle bus!
I only give 3 stars to the scenic spot because there are not many places to visit.
There are people watching over the grassland, and people are not allowed to enter the flowers to take pictures. They can only walk on the plank road.
It takes about an hour to visit the winding and zigzag area.
You are not allowed to go down to the Kaidu River below to have a close look. It is fenced off.
It is recommended to spend most of the day in the scenic area.
Bayinbuluke is an alpine wetland grassland with a lot of long-legged mosquitoes, especially in the winding and zigzag areas. Once you stop, mosquitoes will fly around you. Mosquito repellent is a must.
The altitude here is high, so it is very cold, especially when there is no sun. You must bring enough coats. The locals here all wear cotton-padded clothes.
The scenery of the rivers and mountains around the town outside the scenic area is not inferior to that inside the scenic area. I feel that it is enough to just play and take a look outside.
The 12-day tour of southern and northern Xinjiang is coming to an end. In the last 4 days, we were led by our beautiful tour guide Chen Hong and our driver, Master Ren, to the beautiful Bayinbuluke Grassland, Kuitun Grand Canyon, the beautiful Luobu Village and other scenic spots. Tour guide Xiao Chen arranged the whole journey reasonably. During the long journey, she brought us a lot of fun with the unique enthusiasm of Chongqing girls. In the last few days, several elderly group members were physically uncomfortable due to fatigue. Tour guide Xiao Chen and Master Ren took good care of them and took them to the hospital, which made everyone in the car very grateful. In short, coming to Xinjiang is not only about beautiful scenery, but also about beautiful hearts!
It is an alpine basin in the middle of the Tianshan Mountains, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with an altitude of about 2,500 meters and an area of 23,835 square kilometers. Bayinbuluke means Fengquan in Mongolian, which means "abundant spring water". The grassland is flat and has abundant water and grass. It is a typical grass meadow grassland and one of the most important animal husbandry bases in Xinjiang. The ticket price is 48 yuan, suitable for 4-10 people. Starting from Hejing County, you can go directly along National Highway 217.
Bayinbuluke is the last major attraction of this trip. To be honest, I was a little disappointed, but the scenery is undoubtedly stunning. The winding road and the snow-capped mountains in the distance are in harmony. The open grassland can also make people feel very peaceful. In summer, you should pay attention to the time when taking sunset photos. The last bus to the station is about 10:30. It is easy to miss the last blue hour, but you can walk down by yourself. The scenic spots in the huge scenic area are very scattered. I don’t know if it’s because of the season, there are not many swans in Swan Lake, but there are many birds.
The endless snow-capped Tianshan Mountains, the herds of cattle, sheep and horses along the way, and the most famous Oba sheep, haha. Baidu Encyclopedia: Bayinbuluke Grassland is located in the mountain basin in the northwest of Hejing County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, and the middle of the Tianshan Mountains. It is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with an altitude of about 2,500 meters and an area of 23,835 square kilometers. It is the second largest grassland in China, second only to the Ordos Grassland in Inner Mongolia. Bayinbuluke means "rich spring water" in Mongolian. The grassland is flat and has abundant water and grass. It is a typical grass meadow grassland and one of the most important animal husbandry bases in Xinjiang. There is not only a paradise surrounded by snow-capped mountains, but also the "nine bends and eighteen turns" of the Kaidu River, and the elegant and charming Swan Lake.
The scenery is average. There are three kinds of tickets for one scenic spot, which is unheard of. It is a disguised charge. The entrance ticket is 65 yuan, and the shuttle bus is 75 yuan. After the shuttle bus arrives at the terminal, it costs 20 yuan per person to go to the observation deck, and they don't want to sit there. We just spend money to see the uncle coming... In addition, the scenic spot ticket requires insurance of 5 yuan per person, and the key is that it is mandatory and there is no explanation. There are only a few domestic ducks in Swan Lake, and there are only ducks, less than ten of them. It's too perfunctory. After all, we have received nine years of compulsory education, and we can still tell the difference between ducks and swans. There are so many mosquitoes. There is cow dung on the roadside. This is the worst scenic spot all the way from Chongqing.
The vast plateau grassland, stretching as far as the eye can see, is a large Mongolian settlement in Xinjiang. In addition to its twists and turns, it is also the world's main breeding ground for swans.
You wouldn’t know if you didn’t go there, there is such a large grassland in Xinjiang and the scenery is so charming. It’s a pity that the schedule was too tight and I only stayed there for half a day.
In the central part of Xinjiang, the grassland scenery is beautiful and the milk is very delicious with a strong milky flavor.
The herdsmen’s return is a grand spectacle, the sunset is golden, and it is common to encounter large clouds.
It is the second largest grassland in China and the largest alpine grassland in China. Han Han’s movie “Speeding Life” was filmed here.
The grassland is vast and rich in grass, making it a paradise for swans. At its peak, there are tens of thousands of swans.
Swan Lake is actually just average. There are twists and turns in many places, but this one is no different.
The next day was a sunny day, and the Bayinbuluke grassland revealed its true appearance, which immediately amazed me! I won’t say much, just look at the pictures!
The scenery of Bayinbuluke grassland is extremely charming.
Very beautiful grassland, but now there are too many mosquitoes
There is no sea in Bayinbuluke, but it rained heavily, which is a pity
Shibawan is beautiful only when the weather is good. It has high requirements for weather. If the weather is bad, it will be an ordinary prairie.
If you are here for the natural scenery, then this place is impeccable. The 30 kilometers around Bayinbuluke are all unparalleled grasslands. The whole person is immersed in the green scenery. But the reception capacity is limited, so be prepared. If the hotel is not enough, rent a yurt
The vastness and magnificence of the grassland echoes the cattle and sheep
The shuttle train travels across the Bayinbuluke grassland, and the scenery is spectacular.
I have heard that mosquitoes in Bayinbuluke Grassland are very fierce in summer, but I didn't expect them to be so rampant. The scenery of the grassland is beautiful, but you must wear long pants and long sleeves to cover your head and feet during this season. Otherwise, you don't have to walk, and the gadflies and mosquitoes can carry you to the viewing platform...
Fortunately, when it got dark, there was not a single mosquito to bother us, otherwise I really don’t know how I would have gotten through the night.
We rented a yurt on the grassland to spend the night, to satisfy the ladies' regret of not being able to spend the night in the yurt in Kalajun. A yurt has ten beds, and it costs 500 yuan a night. Everyone overcame it, and men, women and children all slept together.
It rained during the day, but the sky was clear at night. The sky was full of stars and the Milky Way could be clearly seen. Suddenly, a shooting star streaked across the night sky, causing my wife and I to marvel! It was the first time in my life that Yun saw a shooting star. Later, we saw a few more, and we felt very lucky.
The grassland after the snow is covered with snow and the sky is beautiful.
Everyone has different preferences for scenery. My younger brother likes this place very much. Although the weather is not very good, sometimes clear and sometimes cloudy, it is unique and I still think it is beautiful.
The most beautiful thing about Bayinbuluke is the sunset among its winding paths. I specially selected a few ordinary photos to see if they are still beautiful.
In October, the grassland has changed into autumn clothes. The green grass is dyed golden by the autumn wind, presenting a different scene. The grassland is endless and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, like a beautiful paradise.
The Bayinbuluke Grassland, located deep in the Tianshan Mountains, is the largest alpine grassland in China. It is like a paradise, with lush green grasslands on both sides of the road, yaks and herdsmen, and it feels like returning to Tibet.
Coming down from the mountain, the scenery changed and we arrived at the Bayinbuluke Grassland. In fact, you don't have to go into the scenic area, you can stop anywhere on the road to see the beautiful scenery. The Bayinbuluke Grassland Scenic Area is the most visited scenic area along the way.
The most famous thing about Bayinbuluke is its nine bends and eighteen turns. The ticket office and shuttle bus boarding point are at the town entrance. It is dozens of kilometers from the town to the scenic area. The shuttle bus is a must. The scenic area mainly has three points: Swan Lake, Barun Kure Temple and Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns. The ticket for Bayinbuluke... is extremely wasteful of paper. The round-trip shuttle bus must be divided into two tickets.
It was still deserted when we arrived at the tourist center. After buying tickets and getting on the bus, we waited for nearly half an hour before only about ten people gathered. It seemed that most of them would have to book the whole place for a tour. Starting from the tourist center, we passed through the other side of the town to the real entrance to the scenic area. There were still dozens of kilometers from the entrance to the Swan Lake scenic spot. The road was deserted, with a lonely bus and empty seats. If it was replaced by a Coaster, it would really look like a special car for leaders to inspect the grassland herdsmen. After bypassing a hillside, we entered a large and vast grassland. This is the beginning of the hinterland of the Bayinbuluke grassland. The autumn grass on the plain was withered and yellow, and most of the herdsmen had moved away. Occasionally, you could see groups of black-headed sheep. Because the terrain was too flat, the distant mountains were hidden in the hazy air. There were no obvious reference points, and it was impossible to intuitively feel the grandeur of China's second largest grassland. Some landscapes do not need to be embellished with colors and composition. The ultimate simplicity and roughness is a beautiful sight. The Bayinbuluke Grassland is such a landscape. The sky is boundless, the land is endless, but the experience is different from seeing the sea for the first time. Although the ocean is vast, it is a place outside of the body after all, and it is a little ethereal. The grassland is the real land that you can step on, giving people a solid and heavy feeling.
This is probably what a paradise is like.
The Tianshan Mountains are one of the seven largest mountain ranges in the world, and there are two super basins outside the Tianshan Mountains.
A glance at the past, a glance at the past
I don't recommend going in. The tickets are not cheap and there is nothing to see. It feels like a rip-off.
The town is well equipped. It was rainy when we went there, so I won't comment too much.
Swan Lake and Jiuqu Shibawan are famous photography sites. Bayinbuluke is at a high altitude, and except for summer, other seasons are very cold, and even in summer, the temperature difference between morning and evening is very large.
Tickets plus bus 140. You can take the bus in the scenic area to reach various attractions. We mainly went to the Swan Home, and then to the Basilik Observation Deck. It takes about 2.3 kilometers to get to the best viewing platform. There are sightseeing buses available for 10 yuan per person. We chose to walk up and take the bus down. It was very windy when we arrived at the observation deck in the evening, so we must keep warm.
Unfortunately, there was a large cloud that day that blocked the sunset, so we couldn’t see the legendary nine suns.
The Bayinbuluke grassland was once covered with dark clouds and it rained a little. Fortunately, the sun finally broke through the clouds. I saw four suns. A black shepherd dog sat on the hillside and quietly watched the sheep by the Kaidu River, as if waiting for the sunset.
After taking the shuttle bus for more than half an hour to enter the scenic area, the vast grassland is so attractive that you can't take your eyes off it.
The shuttle bus was running slowly on the prairie. The first row was reserved for stability maintenance and only for ladies, so we took photos of the long road in the first row. The sky was hanging low over the boundless prairie. In the near distance were winding plateau rivers and endless prairie wetlands. Snow-white sheep, gray-black cattle, and golden-brown horses were eating grass and drinking water in groups, sometimes bowing their heads to kiss the earth, and sometimes looking up to embrace the sun.
The snow from the previous few days still remained in the shade. The herdsmen's life was simple yet fulfilling, with smoke rising from the yurts and horses tied up, gently wagging their tails.
It rained all the time when we set out and entered the mountains. I didn't see the sunset on the grassland that I was looking forward to. The grassland was endless, and cattle and sheep were everywhere on the hillside. The road conditions in this section of Bayinbuluke Grassland were very good. I look forward to a sunny day next time!
You have to transfer to the shuttle bus to get to the scenic area. The shuttle bus will stop at each scenic spot for everyone to play. When the sun sets in the evening, the temperature in the scenic area drops significantly, so be sure to bring thick clothes.
I personally feel that the transportation here is not very convenient, and the road conditions are mostly bumpy and rugged mountain roads. If you are not wearing a seat belt when sitting in the back row of the shuttle bus, you will probably fly. Because of this, after crossing the snow-capped mountains, the vast grassland that suddenly appears in front of you gives people a sense of sudden enlightenment, like encountering a paradise.
When I arrived at Bayinbuluke Town, I found out that the hotels here were not available online and could only be booked on site at a high price. It was really expensive and the conditions were not very good. After all, it was a small town, but for the beautiful grassland, it was enough to get a good night's sleep.
I have really fallen in love with the grasslands in recent years. The grasslands here are different from the dry grasslands in Tibet or Mongolia. They are as warm as jade, delicate and vast. They are the proud territory of the motherland.
I love the twists and turns the most. I want to make myself bigger and then lie on it and have fun.
Bayinbuluke Grassland is usually an endless grassland in people's impression. Unfortunately, after experiencing Nalati the day before, I didn't feel amazed. I heard that the mosquitoes were fierce, but fortunately they had died down in October. There are three stops for the scenic area bus tour, Swan Lake, Temple, and Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns. The scenic area bus will leave as soon as it is full. It may be faster in the peak season, but it is estimated that you have to wait for a while here in the off-season. I personally feel that it is not very reasonable. At a stop on the way back, as a little helper of Sichuan people, I saw the snow up close and played with the snow happily like a child in his twenties.
Bayinbuluke Wetland is a secret place deep in the Tianshan Mountains. It is far from Yining and not easy to get there from Urumqi, but the sunset here is famous far and wide. The sunset in the wetland with nine bends and eighteen turns is what photographers dream of. The sunset on the mountain is beautiful, but it is also very cold, so you should pay more attention to keeping warm.
The flocks of cattle and sheep and the sturdy yaks on the grassland, the snow-capped mountains in the distance, and the river at the foot of the mountain formed a harmonious and beautiful picture. It was windy and cold, and we had no time to care about anything else. We couldn't wait to throw ourselves into the picture, rushing into it, willing to be just a small dot.
There is always a gap between ideal and reality. There are no swans in Swan Lake, and the sunset in Jiuqu Shibawan cannot be photographed (it is said that you have to come in summer). The ticket plus the shuttle bus is very expensive. It feels that the cost performance is not high, which is far from the expected value. It may be that we went in the wrong season. I hope that we will not be disappointed next time. There is another point that must be emphasized. When we wanted to take the shuttle bus back after watching the sunset, no bus came. We waited for more than an hour before we got on the bus. We have passed many scenic spots and taken many shuttle buses along the way. The shuttle bus price of Bayinbuluke is the most expensive, and the service and emergency coordination ability are the worst. The gap between the scenic spots is revealed when compared. The disappointment is doubled and the love for this attraction plummets.
The lake, snow-capped mountains and wetlands complement each other. After a tiring journey, the vast green carpet that suddenly appears before your eyes gives you a sense of sudden enlightenment, like encountering a paradise. All your fatigue is swept away.
Bayinbuluke is an alpine grassland, but the altitude is not too high, averaging about 2,500 meters. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the snow water from the Tianshan Mountains gathers here. Swamps, wetlands, lakes, rivers, each place has its own unique scenery!
The lush grass in the roadside valleys contrasts beautifully with the snow on the glaciers on the distant snow-capped peaks. The mountain scenery is layered with cloud shadows, which is indescribably beautiful and magnificent.
Tickets are 107.5, including the shuttle bus, which stops at 3 stations, Swan Lake, Temple, and Jiuqu Shibawan. The end of the shuttle bus is Jiuqu Shibawan, and you need to buy a separate shuttle ticket to enter, round trip 20, one-way 10, if not, it is about 3km.
The whole tour takes 3-4 hours. If the Duku Highway is not closed, you can visit Nalati from Yili, and then take the 2-hour route from Duku to Bayinbuluke the next day. After visiting Bayinbuluke, take the Duku route to Kuche in southern Xinjiang, and you will pass by the mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon and Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves.
The ticket hall of the scenic spot is quite impressive, which shows that there are many tourists. It is nearly 50 kilometers from the tourist center to the end of the scenic spot, and it takes 45 minutes to drive. The sky is not good when entering the Bayinbuluke grassland, and the grasslands on both sides of the road seem a bit fading. Compared with Kalajun, today's Bayinbuluke is a bit disappointing. But there are many tourists coming to Bayinbuluke, and I think the main reason may be that it is a must-go on the Duku route.
The view is full of grandeur and vastness. The blue sky and white clouds, the snow-capped mountains in the distance, the grasslands, wetlands, swans, black-headed sheep, camels, horses, and various flying birds nearby, it is a picturesque scene that cannot be painted or photographed.
I don't know if it's the wrong season, but there are no swans, and annoying grassland mosquitoes are everywhere. I believe they are "invincible"! From the moment you get off the scenic area shuttle bus, they will immediately attack all your exposed parts from the face! So I warn those who come later, it's up to you whether to bring mosquito repellent and a headgear!
The bus was driving on a winding scenic road. Outside the window, the Bayinbuluke grassland was flat, with abundant water and grass, and green grass, just like emerald green satin. Looking at the endless grass meadow, I felt this paradise surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
The shuttle train travels across the Bayinbuluke grassland, where there are layers of green mountains, endless green fields, extensive lakes and swamps, cattle and sheep everywhere, and snow lotus-like yurts located in between, creating a prosperous scene.
Friendly reminder: Even at noon in August, Bayinbuluke is still relatively cold. It is necessary to wear a thin jacket or a thin lightweight down jacket. Do not wear a skirt, as long-legged mosquitoes can penetrate everywhere.
