Tianshan Canyon is located about 72km north of Kuche County, Aksu Prefecture, on the north side of National Highway 217, with an altitude of about 1,600 meters and the highest peak at about 2,048 meters above sea level.
The Grand Canyon is composed of reddish-brown mountains, which the locals call Kezilia (Uyghur, meaning "red cliff"). It runs from north to south and bends slightly to the east at the end. The main valley is about 2.7km long, and there are 4 branch valleys with a total length of about 3km.
The mysterious Grand Canyon was formed by millions of years of wind and rain erosion and mountain torrents. The mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountain is majestic, dangerous, secluded, quiet and magical. Those who are there will be amazed. The Aai Grottoes were found on the cliff about 1.4km away from the entrance of the valley. The Chinese characters on the murals on the south, north and west walls of the caves add color to the Grand Canyon.

I still like it very much and took a lot of photos, but unfortunately they are all lost. However, there is regret and there will be next time. I have already planned to come to Xinjiang to take the Duku Highway next time, and we will see each other again.
The Grand Canyon has a great landscape. The colors are naturally formed and very shocking. I think it will be even more charming when the setting sun shines on it when the weather is good.
Before I entered, I thought it was just a mountain stream. When I was in it, I realized that I was really illiterate. I had to sigh at the uncanny workmanship of nature. The canyon mouth was wide, and after walking in, I realized that it was winding and crisscrossed. The narrowest place was a thin line of sky, which could only accommodate one person. It was surrounded by stone walls on both sides, and the stream in the valley slid through the sand. There were strange peaks and rocks in various shapes.
The ticket price is relatively reasonable, and since it is right next to the highway, most tourists will stay here.
The reddish-brown rocks here are formed by the wind and rain erosion of nature for billions of years. The reddish-brown mountains look like clusters of burning flames under the sunlight. Standing at the bottom of the valley, I felt that the steep cliffs seemed to be pressing down at any time. The further I went in, the narrower it became. The winding and twisting added a bit of weird and mysterious atmosphere, which was very similar to the Antelope Canyon in the United States. Although it was noon and it was extremely hot outside, it was quite cool inside. I wanted to keep going, but the mountain collapsed in the middle and the road was interrupted. Looking at the big rocks blocking the way, I really wanted to go over and explore it. I was full of curiosity about the depths of the canyon. These places always have a magical attraction to me.
It is the real Huoyan Mountain, which is more magnificent and more shocking than the "Huoyan Mountain Scenic Area"! And it is free.
It was already past 4pm when we arrived at the mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan. When we entered the canyon, the sun was scorching hot, but the heat disappeared in the shadow of the mountain. The canyon is winding and secluded, and the reddish-brown mountains in the valley are in various shapes. When walking in the valley, there are twisted cliffs like huge waves that are splashing on your face, but they are frozen in an instant, hovering here, and looking up is quite impressive. I think in the midday sun, the canyon will be more breathtaking because of the blazing colors and clear lines. We arrived late, and the light in the valley was dim. Although we didn't see the most beautiful light and shadow and lines, it was still quite shocking visually!
Suddenly there was a heavy rain. Although the rain stopped for a short time, when our car arrived at the entrance of the Mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountain in Kuche, we were told that the scenic spot was temporarily closed for safety. Seeing that the sky had cleared up, we were unwilling to miss it and insisted on waiting and seeing. Finally, after many inquiries, we learned that we could enter. When I bought the ticket online before, it said that I could scan the code to enter, so I didn’t exchange the ticket at the ticket office at the door. When I arrived at the ticket gate inside, I was told that I still had to exchange the ticket at the ticket office, so I had to come out again, which delayed a little time. However, being able to enter the scenic spot at this time is more of a feeling of loss and recovery. The normal tour time of the scenic spot should be about 3 hours. Considering that we have to catch the train at night, we can only let everyone come out within 2 hours, so it’s a bit rushed. The scenic spot should have been larger, but when we walked to the Lover’s Peak, the road was blocked by large rocks. We can only turn back.
The scenic spot actually chose a suitable hiking route in the entire huge red mountain group. Because the upstream rock collapse blocked the canyon, the tour route is currently only halfway open, and it takes about an hour to go back and forth. From a distance, the red mountain looks strange. When you arrive at the entrance of the canyon, you can feel the momentum of the towering rocks. Entering the canyon from the slightly larger trumpet-shaped opening, there is a hiking route paved with fine stones. In some places, the drop and span are too large, so small iron ladders and iron bridges are built artificially. Safety islands are built everywhere in the canyon to provide shelter for tourists when rocks slide or water rises upstream. The canyon geology is a red mud sandstone that looks particularly loose and is densely covered with large and small holes. The mountains on both sides are covered with traces of wind and rain erosion for thousands of years.
The canyon is winding, and most of the turns are arc-shaped. The sunlight can always find some gaps to penetrate in, rendering the canyon ochre-red.
After traveling more than 3,000 kilometers west, we are finally entering the scenic area. The scenery on the road before the Grand Canyon is spectacular! The Mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan is the first large toll attraction after entering the Duku Highway. It is said that the word "mysterious" was added to distinguish it from the Tianshan Grand Canyon in the east, and the real reason for this "mystery" was not understood until the end of the tour. We arrived at the Grand Canyon Scenic Area at noon. The Yadan landform and the red mountain are very spectacular! The scenic area has towering peaks and majestic cliffs. In terms of perception, it is not a bad idea to call it mysterious. The area that can be visited in the canyon scenic area is not large, but the sandy road surface is flooded with water, making it difficult to walk. In addition, the scenery is monotonous and there is little change, so there is no need to spend too much time here.
When taking photos of spectacular scenery, the phone always seems powerless, and there is a big gap between what is taken and what is actually seen. The bright colors of the mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon cannot be captured, the color contrast between the blue sky and the canyon cannot be seen, and the oppressive feeling of the huge mountain in front of you cannot be captured... Walking in the canyon, the steep cliffs on both sides of the head always cut the sky into skylights, and the feeling of being in the middle of it, as small as a frog in a well, cannot be captured.
Because it was past 5pm when we arrived at the Grand Canyon, the sun could no longer shine into the canyon from above, so the photos taken in the canyon were not bright enough to fully reflect the bright red color of the stone walls, and the portraits were also in the shadows. It was a bit regrettable.
But it still cannot hide its jagged peaks, majestic and magical. It combines the beauty of the canyons on earth, the beauty of the wonders of the Tianshan Mountains, and contains the spiritual energy of eternity.
Arriving at the Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon, I was shocked by the scenery in front of me. Under the sunlight, the peaks in front of me were like a cluster of burning flames, red and piercing the sky. The Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon, also known as the Kezilia Grand Canyon, is located in the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, 64 kilometers north of Kuche County, Xinjiang. The Grand Canyon is composed of giant reddish-brown mountains, blood-red mountains, and peaks. The entire canyon is long, majestic, and magnificent, and everyone who is there will praise it.
At two o'clock, the sun is at its hottest in the day. The sunlight reflects the sky and the view is bright red. Entering the Grand Canyon, red brick cliffs come into view, steep and protruding, like burning flames. My friend joked, "Are we in the Flaming Mountain?" It had just snowed when we came. The weather was fine and the snow began to melt. The deeper we went, the faster the water flowed. Fortunately, we prepared waterproof shoe covers in advance, so we walked as fast as we wanted. There is a scene at every step in the valley, and people walking in it seem to be walking in a maze. The deeper we go, the deeper the canyon becomes. The two walls meet, and the narrowest place is only 60 to 70 centimeters wide, which can only accommodate two people passing sideways. The blue sky above is so high that it almost disappears. Being in it, the depression in my heart gradually dissipates.
The Mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountains is also known as the Kuche Grand Canyon. The Uyghur word "Kiziliya" means "red cliff". It is a must-see attraction at the southern end of the famous Duku Highway. Since it was discovered by a Uyghur shepherd in 1999, it has attracted countless tourists because it combines the beauty of a canyon on earth with the beauty of the Tianshan Mountains, and integrates the mysterious, strange, dangerous, majestic, ancient and secluded into one. In March 2012, the Ministry of Land and Resources officially named it the "Kuche Grand Canyon National Geopark".
The Grand Canyon is roughly in the shape of a north-south arc, consisting of the main valley and seven branch valleys, with a total length of more than 5,000 meters, of which the main canyon is about 2,700 meters long. The two sides of the canyon are composed of huge reddish-brown mountain groups, and the height of the mountains is basically more than 200 meters. The rocks have been carved by wind and rain, with various shapes and peaks piercing the sky. The widest part of the canyon bottom is 53 meters, and the narrowest part is 0.4 meters, which can only accommodate one person bending his head and passing sideways. Although the sun is scorching, it is quite cool to visit it because of the mountain shelter. The path in the valley is winding forward, and walking in it, there is a feeling of winding paths leading to secluded places and a different world.
The mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan is located 64 kilometers north of Kuqa County, at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains. The canyon is 1,600 meters above sea level, with the highest peak at 2,048 meters. It consists of the main valley and seven branch valleys, with a total length of more than 5,000 meters. The strange peaks and mountains that make up the canyon are composed of ochre muddy sandstone, which is called "Kiziliya" in the local Uyghur language, that is, red cliffs. It has been eroded by wind and rain for hundreds of millions of years and washed away by mountain torrents. It is a rare dry land natural landscape in my country. The Grand Canyon is majestic, dangerous, secluded, quiet and divine. The reddish-brown rocks are formed by wind, rain erosion and mountain torrents for hundreds of millions of years. Under the sunlight, the art of light and shadow makes people who are in it admire it. The canyon mouth is wide, and the narrower it is as you go in, the criss-crossing and winding passages between the mountains seem to be in a maze, adding a bit of weird and mysterious color. You can choose to ride a camel in the Grand Canyon, but the fee is not cheap. I remember it was 200 yuan per ride. I personally think it is not necessary. After all, it only takes two or three hours to walk and take pictures. There are many small gravels on the road. It is recommended to wear a pair of high-top shoes to prevent sand from entering. The recommended time to visit the Grand Canyon is 4 or 5 pm. At this time, the light is very good even in the canyon. If it is too late, the light will be much darker and the quality of the photos may be compromised.
The mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon, also known as the Kuche Grand Canyon and the Kezilya Grand Canyon, is located in the north of Kuche County, Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang.
Kizilya means "red cliff" in Uyghur language, which is because the Grand Canyon is composed of giant reddish-brown mountains. The reddish-brown mountains of the mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon reach straight into the sky, and under the sunlight, they look like clusters of burning flames.
The canyon is roughly in the shape of a north-south arc, with the opening slightly bending to the southeast and the end slightly bending to the northeast. It consists of the main valley and 7 branch valleys, with a total length of more than 5,000 meters. The natural drop from the end of the valley to the valley mouth is more than 200 meters. The widest part of the valley bottom is 53 meters, and the narrowest part is 0.4 meters, which is only enough space for one person to pass through by lowering his head and bending his body sideways.
The ticket price is not expensive, only 40 yuan, and parking is free. I recommend it!
It is probably because nature wanted to create some "unique" scenery, so it spent 140 million years to carefully build the "Mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan" through wind and rain erosion and mountain torrents. The entire canyon is made up of red rocks of different shades, which is "majestic, dangerous, secluded, quiet and magical" as one, making people feel like stepping into another world. Yes, it literally means "stepping into another world".
First of all, there is sound. After all, there is no water, no electricity, and no signal here. There is only the creaking sound of your feet stepping on the red gravel and the constant "F*ck" sounds of people around you when they are shocked by the scenery. The sound you hear now is the same FM frequency "00.0 Hz" as it was 140 million years ago.
The second thing is the temperature. When we went there in early July, it was so hot outside the canyon that you would sweat even if you kept still in the shade, but inside the canyon it was so cool that you wouldn't sweat even if you walked on the ground. It was simply a summer resort on earth.
The third is color. After all, the place where you can see the most red is the lipstick counter that sells cosmetics, right? Look here, a canyon of red, can you tell which is DIOR999 and which is MAC chili pepper?
As people walk deeper into the canyon, the ancient rocks within reach tell passersby about their past through layers of texture. The sunlight reflects in the deep and secluded canyon, creating a bizarre and magical effect, full of the feeling of a blockbuster. Along the way, you will see many peaks and rocks. The best of them were named by the ancients based on their appearance, such as "Lion Welcoming Guests, Divine Dog Guarding the Valley, Ostrich Peak", etc. Although I can't see the artistic conception of many of them, it does not affect their continued beauty. Are you sure you don't want to come to such a magical and mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon in person?
Kind tips:
First, although the Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon is open all year round, there is no water on the surface of the canyon, which makes it prone to collapse and flash floods. There are also sentries every three steps and five steps on the "safety island" in the scenic area. When we went there, the "Aai Grottoes" and some tourist routes were not open, which was a bit regrettable. So before you go, you can call the scenic spot to confirm the opening hours. After all, safety comes first.
Second, the commercial development in the canyon is not high, so there are no small vendors or shops. Although the official recommended visiting time is 2 hours, believe me, you don’t know where the time goes after you enter, especially for the ladies who love taking photos, so please bring enough drinking water.
The Grand Canyon is composed of huge reddish-brown sandstone bodies. Such red cliffs are called "Kiziliya" in Uyghur. . .
Millions of years of wind and rain erosion and mountain torrents have made the majestic mountains gradually steeper. Looking up, the overwhelming force of the mountains is breathtaking.
The red sandstone walls are full of traces of the rapid flow of water, which makes you imagine that the flood was like a dragon or a beast, omnipresent and invincible, rushing forward among the boulders. . .
This has created the Grand Canyon with its various widths, twists and turns, and winding paths.
Leaving behind a unique beauty that combines the beauty of the canyon, the beauty of the wonders, and the spiritual energy of the ages. . .
Its unique charm of grandeur, steepness, depth and mystery makes every visitor who is there admire it and linger on. . .
Look at the sand and gravel texture in the photo below. Does it look familiar?
Some elderly people have skin textures on their faces that look exactly like this...
From the tender skin that was once as soft as a baby's to the dry and wrinkled old bark, it has gone through years with unbearable stories...
“The wind and frost of time” is like a knife or a sword. . . So we use “wind and frost” to describe the torture and harm that time brings to people. . .
The same is true of nature...
When I look at the Grand Canyon in this mood, I not only like its beauty and grandeur...
I also lament the numerous hardships and dangers it has experienced since ancient times. Its perseverance and hard work have brought it today's magic and beauty. . .
The Mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan is located more than 60 kilometers north of Kuche County (formerly known as Qiuci) in Xinjiang. It is surrounded by mountains at the southern foot of Tianshan Mountain and is known as one of the ten most beautiful canyons in China. The weather here is unpredictable. When I first arrived, it was blue sky and white clouds, but after a few steps, it was overcast. The road between the canyons is half dry and half muddy, uneven, sometimes wide and sometimes narrow. There are safety tips at the entrance of the scenic area. I felt redundant when I first saw it, but as I moved forward in the canyon, I realized its necessity.
The mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon is also called the Kuche Grand Canyon. It is located in Kuche County, Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, about 60 kilometers away from Kuche County.
The mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan is about five kilometers long and consists of huge brown-red mountains, with numerous strange peaks and rugged rocks.
The red mountain has experienced hundreds of millions of years of wind and rain erosion and torrent scouring, forming layers of wrinkles. Under different light, it will produce various magical colors.
There are no flowers and no jungles, but there is a mysterious splendor, which can be said to be a masterpiece of nature.
The three mountains at the entrance of the valley are very spectacular, namely Naitou Mountain, Liren Mountain and Fomian Mountain.
The road leading into the canyon is actually the river channel at the bottom of the valley, most of which is natural sand and gravel, with a small number of plank roads. Some man-made roads have been washed away.
Entering the valley, you will see red mountains all around. People who come here say that this place is more like Huoyan Mountain than Huoyan Mountain.
If there is heavy rain, water may accumulate at the bottom of the valley. In order to prevent safety accidents, several safety islands are built in the valley. Once encountering special circumstances, people can climb to the island for refuge, and the island is also equipped with emergency medicines and food.
At 1:40 p.m., we arrived at the Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon Scenic Area, which is right next to the Duku Highway. This is one of the few scenic spots that does not require a shuttle bus! I have to complain about the name again. In fact, there is a "Tianshan Grand Canyon" in the south of Urumqi. Isn't it easy to confuse? Wouldn't it be better to call it the "Kuqa Grand Canyon"?
The Grand Canyon ticket is 41 yuan, which is quite reasonable. There are limited parking spaces at the entrance, and it was difficult to find a place to park.
The restaurant in the visitor center has a buffet and you can also order dishes. The taste is okay. After the meal, I wanted to eat watermelon, so I spent 25 yuan to buy a big watermelon at the store next door. It was juicy and sweet, so delicious!
Note: There is a restroom at the entrance of the scenic area, but there is only one dry toilet called "Qingsongfu" in the scenic area. It is so smelly that it is not relaxing at all.
There is no shade for a long way from the entrance. It is the hottest time of the year. What is scorching sun? Come and try it and you will know. @朱朱 got a heat stroke here.
Once we enter the canyon, there is no direct sunlight and it is finally cooler!
Although not as spectacular as the Antelope Canyon in the United States, it is highly recommended overall!
Tianshan Canyon is my favorite Grand Canyon so far. We lingered until eight o'clock in the evening. The sky gradually darkened, bats appeared, and the canyon changed from bright red to cold purple-red, and then to gentle warm ochre. The dark places were dark brown and could not be seen clearly. I looked up and found that the sky was full of sunset. The canyon was pressing down on you. It was quiet all around, with the wind howling. Occasionally, one or two stones fell from the sky, and there was a thin stream of water under my feet, silently and endlessly. Standing at the bottom of the valley surrounded by the canyon, you just want to surrender to it. Teacher Chen said, "I can't have the slightest desire to resist."
I am really amazed at the diversity of the landforms on the Duku Highway. In just over 100 kilometers, the green mountains and clear waters turned into red Yadan landforms.
The various folds and fracture lines on the cliff are well-proportioned, and one cannot help but admire the ingenuity of nature! The red cliffs and the transparent blue sky are full of visual impact!
The huge reddish-brown mountain in front of us is the entrance to the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. These are formed by millions of years of wind and rain erosion and mountain torrents. The further you go into the canyon, the lower the temperature becomes, and you are surrounded by cold air every minute. When you walk two-thirds of the way, you see a huge landslide blocking the road ahead. It's a pity that you didn't complete the whole journey.
The scenery in the valley is very beautiful and spectacular. However, due to a landslide in the valley, we only walked half of the way, which was a bit regrettable! It was like coming here with high hopes but leaving with disappointment!
Date: June 13, 2019
It is located in the southern section of Duku, very close to Kuche, more than an hour's drive away, and the ticket price is 50 yuan (online ticket purchase discount). When you arrive at the scenic area, you need to hike. When I went there, I walked straight to the Buddha statue for about one or two kilometers. It was very sunny when it was sunny, and it was very cold in the canyon. This is also one of the "mysterious" places. I won't go into details about the official content. In short, if you want to take pictures, you must go there as an early bird in the morning~
Adding Kuche here can make it a one-day itinerary in Xinjiang~
Tickets cost 41 yuan. I saw the most spectacular scenery in this area. There are similar landforms around. In the scenic area, if there is danger or landslide, at least it can be discovered as quickly as possible.
Don't enter any place that seems mysterious, and the places you can enter are not that mysterious.
The mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan is very much like an enlarged version of the Antelope Canyon in the United States. Many places require the illumination of light and shadow to take beautiful photos.
The artistic beauty of light and shadow can rival that of the Antelope Canyon in the United States.
Maybe because of the frequent landslides, the first section of the road is full of fallen rocks and construction sites, which scares away many people. But the scenery inside is still good.
The scenery is very nice near Kuche on the Duku Highway.
Very stunning Danxia scenic spot. Visit the Grand Canyon on a sunny day. The colorful colors at the bottom of the valley are fascinating and very beautiful.
Because we arrived a little late, we were in a hurry, and the results were not as good as those of other places. I took some photos before sunset, and it felt like I just checked in.
There is no shuttle bus, so you can only explore on foot. The round-trip distance of less than 5 kilometers is suitable for hiking.
The Grand Canyon is mainly composed of red mountains, and there is almost no grass in it. When you enter the canyon, you will feel deep coolness and tranquility, as if you are in another world. Standing at the bottom of the canyon and looking around, you can't help but sigh at the wonders of nature.
Walking in the canyon, even under the scorching sun, you can still feel the coolness, and the melted snow from the icebergs flows gently in the canyon. The deep canyon and the unique mountain are all the work of nature.
Nowadays, there are more people who are good at photoshopping, but fewer people who write travel notes carefully. Although it is five kilometers long, due to collapse, only one kilometer or less than two kilometers can be visited. The only Thousand Buddha Cave that has not been damaged is also locked with four iron doors, which makes me feel a little disappointed. I will say it three times, three times, and three times: there is only one toilet in the scenic area. Wow, it is just a big pit. After entering, I couldn't open my eyes because of the smoke. Tears flowed down my face. So you must solve the problem at the door. The toilet at the door is clean.
Only after billions of years of erosion and washing by wind and rain, the ruthless washing of time, and the unintentional carving of nature, can the grandeur and grandeur of the Grand Canyon be polished into shape.
Walking in the valley, I felt awe and regret for nature: "Man may not be able to conquer nature"...
After seeing those nice photos, I think it is a bit similar to the one in the United States, but... it is indeed a boring attraction, hahaha. If you are not passing by, there is really no need to go, but the ticket is cheap, and it is a pure natural landscape. There are occasional earthquakes, so it may be gone in a few years.
There are also buses going in during winter!! 18 per person!! Coming back as well? ! ! Don’t be fooled into chartering a bus!! At Kuche Tarim Bus Station!!!
The mysterious Tianshan Grand Canyon is also the Kuqa Grand Canyon, its reddish brown color is very beautiful!
Only the mountains on both sides of the entrance are the most beautiful, and the rest are just so-so. After passing the entrance, it was all wet inside, with some places having more water and some places having less water, and my shoes were all wet. Because of the landslide, I could only see about one-third of it, which was totally not worth the ticket price. Later, I heard from friends who went there during the National Day holiday that it was good during the National Day holiday. I analyzed the reason and guessed that we went there shortly after the rain, and the humidity caused the colors to be dull.
Although the Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon is small, 10,000 years of wind and rain erosion have created its magical scenery of strange peaks. I heard that the reason why the mysterious Grand Canyon is mysterious is, firstly, because of its chilling dark sounds and strange air. When we went there during the day, the canyon was very quiet, and we didn't hear the roar of the empty valley; secondly, it was because the strange changes of the gods in the canyon made people terrified. The third is the mystery of the divine water and the divine wind. When we were at the entrance, it felt very hot under the scorching sun. But after entering the canyon, a cool breeze blew in our faces, which was very pleasant. The Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon is not big, but it is rich in colors and suitable for taking pictures.
The reddish-brown mountains in the mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountain reach straight into the sky, and under the sunlight, they look like clusters of burning flames.
Walking into the canyon, I found that this is a unique canyon that I have never seen before. The bottom of the canyon is relatively flat, and there are towering stone walls on both sides. The stone walls have a variety of textures, colors and shapes. Under the refraction of sunlight, they present a rich light and shadow tones. There are countless films here. Entering the canyon, it feels cool and pleasant. You need to wear more clothes to visit. The canyon is two different worlds inside and outside.
Standing at the bottom of the valley and looking up at the mountains, you will feel that the steep peaks will come down at any moment, making you feel suffocated and dizzy. Standing at the bottom of the valley and shooting upward, you can capture the various shapes of the sky cut by the four walls, with scenery at every step and interest everywhere.
The charm of the Grand Canyon lies not only in its grandeur and steepness, but also in its depth, tranquility and mystery.
There are not many tourists in the valley. It is cool and humid, and the valley is deep and chilling. The texture of the mountain is like old tree bark, engraved with the marks of time, and the bright light and shadow cast into the valley, which is comparable to the famous Antelope Canyon in the United States.
There is fine sand under your feet, and some sections of the road have a shallow layer of water. Your footsteps are sometimes deep and sometimes shallow. There is a sign at the entrance of the valley that says it is forbidden to enter in case of heavy rain because there will be flash floods here.
Although it is deep in the valley, the refracted light from the red mountains makes the valley bottom full of brightness. There are even Buddhist rock paintings from unknown era in the canyon.
A creation of God that is no less than the Antelope Canyon in the United States. There are two large canyons in Tianshan, one in Nanshan and one in Kuche. Its colors and patterns are stunning enough, but its size is even more shocking, with the visual sense of the Petra Temple. In the canyon, just because you are in this mountain, it feels like you are in a holy place, beyond words!
The rocks here are in strange shapes, naturally forming various images full of meaning; the stream here is mysterious, sometimes floating on the ground, sometimes disappearing without a trace. If you bend over and block the soft sand with your hands, the spring water will stop flowing forward and shyly dive into the ground; if you step on it lightly with your feet, the spring water will flow back. A landslide occurred a few years ago, and one-third of the viewing road is still blocked, which makes it even more mysterious.
The mysterious Grand Canyon of the Mountain is a name of a 5A scenic spot. It was previously called Wensu Grand Canyon and Kuche Grand Canyon. In 2003, the Sino-Japanese co-production "Heroes of Heaven and Earth" starring Jiang Wen and Zhao Wei was filmed in Wensu Grand Canyon. Take a small jeep at the entrance of the scenic area to the depths of the valley for half an hour to appreciate the "Father of the Earth" and "Mother of the Earth" that are quite common on the land of China. You can start crossing mountains and ridges from the path next to Father of the Earth. After climbing over several small hills, it took about an hour to reach the bottom of the canyon, where the jeep picked up tourists and returned to the tourist hall of the scenic area. There are many landforms in the Grand Canyon, but all of them have left traces of wind and water erosion. A little further than ancient times, here are all oceans.
At this point, the scenery changes abruptly. The gray-black rocks turn orange-red, and the gravel on the ground turns into large, knife-cut mountains, sandwiching the narrow road. Walking in it, it feels like being in a hot steelmaking furnace, and it is indeed full of mystery. This should be the Yadan landform, which reminds me of the colorful Danxia in Zhangye, Gansu, which is also mainly orange, but here is less colorful than Zhangye, but more precipitous and vicissitudes.
Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon is a scenic spot on the Duku Highway. You need to buy a ticket to enter. If you see a large orange hillside along the Duku Highway, you are not far from the scenic spot. When we arrived at about five or six o'clock, the orange mountain was staggered with light and dark under the oblique light, with clear layers, which made it more mysterious.
Although the light outside is still strong, once you enter the scenic area, the light is slightly insufficient due to the mountains on all sides. The places where the light cannot reach appear gloomy and deep.
Under the huge mountain wall, tourists seem so small.
Deep in the canyon, the mountain walls can be seen up close, which is quite spectacular.
You can see that the texture of the rock is different from that of ordinary hillsides. It is particularly fine and hard.
The protruding mountain tops sparkled golden in the setting sun.
Near the deepest part of the canyon, there is an area that looks like the Antelope Canyon. The wind-eroded lines are like a hurricane, and seem to point to an unknown direction.
Standing in the Grand Canyon, looking up, I sigh at how insignificant humans are compared to nature. Different lights and shadows have different effects, which is really beautiful.
Red Grand Canyon
After walking through one end of the Duku Highway, I came to the other end today. It is hard to imagine that the grasslands and snow-capped mountains on the other side will turn into Yadan and Gobi. The dust in the sky made me sigh in the car. There are two big canyons in Tianshan, one in Nanshan and one in Kuche. The one I went to is the mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan in Kuche. I have never been to the Wave Valley in the United States, but the colors and patterns of the gods in Kuche are shocking enough. I like this Indiana Jones feeling, as if I were in the song "The Magnificent Seven".
After looking at the posters of the scenic spot, I found that I have visited seven of the ten most beautiful canyons in China. That’s it. The next one I will go to is Baga.
Before we knew it, we had arrived at the famous Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon in Kuche. As soon as we got off the car, we were immediately shocked by the red mountains under the blue sky. The mountain at the entrance of the canyon looked like a burning flame.
The red color of the mountains also indicates that it is still a branch of the Tianshan Mountains. Friends who have visited the Tianshan Grand Canyon will definitely be familiar with this red mountain range.
The entrance of the Grand Canyon is wide. Walking in, you will find that it is full of winding paths and crisscrossing paths. The narrowest part is a narrow strip of sky that can only accommodate one person. Both sides are surrounded by stone walls, and the stream flows through the valley. There are countless shapes of strange peaks and rocks in the valley, and all the shapes are up to your imagination.
Walking in the cracks in the ground, you will see steep rock walls that are so high that you cannot see the top. Only by comparing yourself with the tourists at the bottom of the valley can you realize how steep the walls on both sides are and how deep the canyon is.
The reddish-brown rock mass was formed by thousands of years of wind erosion, rain carving and flood scouring. The mountain is so high that it reaches the sky, and even without the warm light of the sun, it looks like a burning flame.
It was already late when we got there, and the sunlight could only shine on the top of the mountain. People in the scenic area said that the entire mountain would be illuminated only at noon, so time was precious.
This should be the most recommended attraction in this Xinjiang trip. Known as the Antelope Valley of China, it feels like the Temple of Petra at first sight. The magic of nature has created the magical landforms here. The 45 yuan ticket price is very conscientious and cost-effective in front of many crazy ticket prices in Xinjiang. Remember to bring enough drinking water. The distance inside is not short, remember to replenish water at any time.
The Mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan is located beside the National Highway 217 of the Duku Highway, about 80 kilometers away from Kuche County. It is a canyon in the Kezilia Mountain of the Tianshan Mountains. "Kiziliya" means "red cliff" in Uyghur. The ticket is 41 yuan. The canyon is 5 kilometers long, but due to landslides, a huge rock has fallen about 2.5 kilometers away. After entering the canyon, you can only walk here. It takes about 2-3 hours to go in and out. The light in the canyon is complicated, and it is not easy to take pictures, but the scenery is really beautiful!
The Grand Canyon is a long and narrow mountain crevice, and the changes in light and shadow give people the illusion of traveling through a time tunnel.
After a tour of southern Xinjiang, this place is a must-visit and not to be missed.
The canyon here is red, and different colors can be seen under direct and indirect sunlight.
In fact, we really have to thank the goats. If it weren't for their crazy love for fresh grass, the herders had to search hard for it. I don't know when these spectacular and mysterious veils would be unveiled! From a distance, I saw the red sandstone mountain, which was different from the surrounding light yellow, and it looked particularly bright red under the setting sun. In ancient times, the Grand Canyon was created after millions of years of wind and rain erosion and mountain torrents to form the breathtaking natural landscape in front of us. Does it look familiar? Yes! It looks very much like the Antelope Canyon in the United States, right? Well, from now on, you don't need a visa or a round-trip ticket, come to the mysterious Grand Canyon of DJI! Every time the shutter is pressed, the playback picture has a different color temperature. As the sun moves, the mountain keeps changing different levels of red. Maybe if you hesitate for a second, there will be no more amazing red sky in the next moment.
The mountain is red, and the grass and trees are green. You would have no objection if this place was called the Flaming Mountain.
One of the most beautiful canyons in China, located 70 kilometers from Kuche, the red Danxia landform is very beautiful and worth a visit
The Grand Canyon is about 70 kilometers away from Kuche County. If you pass by here from Bayinbuluke Grassland, you can come here to play. It is definitely worth the trip. It is comparable to the Yellowstone Grand Canyon in the United States. The ticket is 45 yuan. The public can buy it at a cheaper price of 9 yuan. It is not allowed to enter on cloudy days. It takes about 3 hours to play. It is easy to take pictures when there is sunshine. The Red Grand Canyon is very beautiful
This is the first time we have seen this unique landform. The canyon is deep but not wide, and the narrowest part can only accommodate two or three people passing side by side. It gives people a sense of psychological oppression, especially when you think about how dangerous it would be if there was a heavy rain here.
Was it nature or God that carved out a majestic and steep valley? They guard this piece of red soil, ignoring the changes of time, and the stone god remains in high spirits.
I sat and watched, and could not for the life of me figure out where they came from.
There is a Gaishi Valley on the left, and the canyon becomes long and mysterious.
Walking into this barren land. Although I will also feel the wonders and beauty of nature like everyone else. But if I really stand on the ground for fifteen minutes in the sun, I will also feel the cruelty of nature. We drove on it. If it weren't for the shock absorbers to reduce most of the vibration, I would have been shaken to the roof of the car. Before I could react, a rock mountain different from the surrounding mountains appeared in front of the road. It looks like a red sword rising from the ground. Without thinking too much, you can guess that this is the most magical Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon in Tianshan. Because it resembles the "Antelope Canyon" in the United States, it attracts countless photographers to shoot. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would like to go in again to see the narrow sky and special geological features.
This is a place where the earth and the sky tease each other. If not for this, it would be hard to imagine that the land, which has always been stable, could be so lively.
There are two regrets in this canyon. One is that there are many landslides, which makes the journey very short. It only takes 50 minutes to reach the dam, taking photos and playing along the way. The other is the Aai Grottoes, which are not open to the public. The grottoes were built in the Tang Dynasty and sealed until the end of the last century. The preservation should be quite complete, but it is a pity that I have no chance to see them.
The full name should be: Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon of Kuqa Grand Canyon National Geopark.
The scenery is still very beautiful. When I first entered the door, the red mountain was very shocking under the blue sky, and I felt a sense of awe for nature! It's worth going!
I visited the Grand Canyon about a dozen years ago, but for some reason I didn't reach the end, which was a pity. This time I revisited the place, but I didn't expect that both ends of the main line and the branch line of the Gasi Valley were closed due to landslides, which was really disappointing. The Grand Canyon in my memory was very steep to climb up and down. There were some places where only one person could pass sideways at a time. Now I can't find any traces, which is really a pity...
It is very suitable for photography when the light is good. It may be a bit boring for sightseeing. It takes about 2 hours to go in and out of a canyon. If you like photography, you can wait for the light slowly. I went in at noon. The light was still strong.
The ticket price is 30/person. It is right next to the Duku Highway and is a must-see attraction!
The parking lot is not on the roadside, but inside the scenic area. You must drive into the gate of the scenic area. The roadside is very small. If you park, the Duku Highway will be blocked. The scenic area is only 70 kilometers away from Kuche, but the speed limit is very strict along the way. There are interval speed measurement, so don't exceed 60.
It is necessary to look at the route map. You must enter on foot and it is best to wear sandals because the road surface in the canyon is the riverbed. It is the rainy season and water is flowing, so your shoes will definitely get wet.
There are still quite a few people. We can see that the canyon is composed of huge reddish-brown mountains, running from north to south. It is understood that the canyon is about 70 to 80 meters deep and 5 kilometers long.
Gasgoo is relatively narrow.
Over the long years, the Grand Canyon, which has existed for billions of years, has remained silent and has become a permanent landscape. The more mysterious it remains, the more beneficial and valuable it is.
Entering deep into the canyon, the heat brought by summer has quietly gone away, and a cool world envelops all the tourists, and the coolness spreads all over the body. Do you still feel that this is a place with a high temperature of 40 degrees? The irritability, panic and anxiety in your heart are gone, leaving only quietness and peace.
The parking fee is 5 yuan, and it has not been fully developed yet (due to heavy rain some time ago, there was water in the canyon, so we used the shoe covers bought from Chaka Salt Lake, and you can also change into slippers). The whole journey is about 5 kilometers, and it is well worth a visit.
Only when you see the Tianshan Grand Canyon with your own eyes will you firmly believe that the shocking scene described in the books is real.
It's a great place for taking photos. The brighter the sunlight, the redder the color.
You must go, the power of nature, the work of nature, the sun is scorching outside, walking in the dry riverbed, cool and refreshing, take your time to look and take pictures. Key ticket 45
The reddish-brown mountains of the Tianshan Grand Canyon pierce the sky. Under the sunlight, they are like clusters of burning flames. As soon as you walk in, you will feel that the sun is even hotter. Walking into the canyon, it is not as hot as you see. The cool breeze pours into the valley bottom, and the stream gurgles. The soil of the Grand Canyon is reddish-brown, which is in sharp contrast with the color of the surrounding land. The way in is not easy to walk. It is recommended to wear sturdy sports shoes. Some places need to go up and down, and there is even a small iron ladder to go up. Although it is a desert area, there are several springs in the canyon, and some sections have been flooded by springs. The light and shadow in the Grand Canyon are intertwined, comparable to the Antelope Canyon in the United States. Of course, you have to choose the right time and angle to see the bizarre images. The charm of the Tianshan Grand Canyon lies not only in its magnificence and steepness, but also in its depth, tranquility and mystery. Standing at the bottom of the valley and looking up at the mountains, I feel that the steep peaks seem to be pressing down at any time, making people feel suffocated and dizzy.
The unique landform finally made people come to their senses and realize that they had arrived in southern Xinjiang.
The air begins to change from being filled with fresh water vapor and the fragrance of soil to being dry and hot. Such a unique view is totally worth buying a ticket to the Kuche Mysterious Grand Canyon Scenic Area to explore.
Walking among them, people seem so small compared to those huge rocks that they are not worth mentioning.
The darker it gets, the more mysterious it feels. The deeper you go, the more you feel like you are exploring. It has rained a lot these two days, and a lot of water has slowly seeped out from the depths of the canyon. The deeper you go, the more water seeps out, forming streams. Walking into this place is like entering another mysterious world. My companion said it was like the Antelope Canyon in the United States. It is sunny outside and very cool inside. The reddish-brown boulders on both sides are towering, and the gap in the middle seems to be split open. The sunlight shines in from the gap, and the color is brighter. Compared with the colorful Danxia last year, I like this place better. There is no need to take a bus to take you to a fixed scenic spot and drop you off, always reminding you that you are just a spectator.
When I came out, I found that all the staff had left. It turned out that the staff of the Grand Canyon went off work after 8:30. They went off work very thoroughly. The entrance was completely open and anyone could enter at will. Friendly reminder, if you want to come at night, you don’t need to buy a ticket.
It's really beautiful. The camera can't capture its full beauty. It's a bit like the Antelope Canyon in the United States, but the Antelope Canyon is more delicate and the mysterious Grand Canyon is more bold.
The work of nature is both shadowy and illusory! The red mountain is really magnificent and mysterious!
It took me a day to read the entire travelogue. First of all, I would like to give a thumbs up to the young man's courage. Although the text is simple, it records every detail of the entire trip. The photos are also very good. I was particularly moved that when the DJI drone landed in a dangerous place, there was a Uyghur brother who stepped forward to help. This is really precious in today's society. I also went to Xinjiang last year, but I was at a loss when I encountered it!
