Chongsheng Temple is famous for its three pagodas, one large and two small, also known as the "Three Pagodas of Dali", and is one of the famous Buddhist pagodas in China.
The three ancient pagodas are the landmarks of Dali, witnessing the prevalence of Buddhism in Dali, and are also one of the scenic spots of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake.

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple are located 1.5 kilometers northwest of the ancient city of Dali, facing Yingle Peak of Cangshan Mountain to the west and Erhai Lake to the east, about 1,500 meters from the foot of the mountain. It is the largest ancient temple in Dali's history. During the Fengyou period of Nanzhao, there were thousands of halls. During the Dali Kingdom period, it was a royal temple. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple consist of three pavilions, one large and two small. The three towers stand on a tripod, with Qianxun Tower in the middle and two small towers guarding the north and south, which is magnificent.

Chongsheng Temple and the Three Pagodas are definitely worth a visit. They are more solemn than I imagined. And because they were built from high to low according to the location of Cangshan Mountain, the temples look particularly imposing against the backdrop of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. The park is densely planted with flowers and succulents, so it is beautiful even if it is just a park. In short, it will not disappoint you.

The entire Three Pagodas Scenic Area can be divided into two parts. The front half is the Three Pagodas plus the Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall, the Big Bell Tower and the Yutong Guanyin Hall. As soon as you enter the gate, you can see the majestic Three Pagodas. This is probably the only famous place in China where the Three Pagodas stand side by side. We came in the morning. The winter sun shone from the southeast. The small pagoda on the north was blocked by the main pagoda, so the three pagodas appeared in a gray-black color different from the other two pagodas in the group photo.

On both sides of the road behind the three towers are cultural relics exhibition halls, where you can see the cultural relics excavated from the three towers, but the exhibition effect is average and the viewing effect is not very good. In fact, many of the most important ones can also be seen in the Yunnan Provincial Museum in Kunming.

Further back is the Big Bell Tower. The tower itself is nothing special. The interior is also used for selling cultural and tourism products, and I think the shape is a bit ugly. But the good thing is that you can go up to the tower and look around.

The Yutong Guanyin Hall at the back has the same architectural style as the big bell tower, but its shape is much more beautiful. There are several incarnations of Guanyin inside, including an incarnation in the style of Indian Indra, which is not common in the mainland. It is worth seeing.

After passing the Yutong Guanyin Hall, we entered the second half of the entire scenic area. This is the scope of the narrow Chongsheng Temple, because the mountain gate was built here. The overall feeling is that the volume is very large. As a relatively new Buddhist temple landscape that was rebuilt in the contemporary era, it reminds me of the Lingshan Scenic Area in Wuxi. However, the big thing in Lingshan is the Buddha, as well as the surrounding buildings such as the Brahma Palace. The Xiangfu Zen Temple at the foot of the Buddha is actually very small. But the courtyard of the Chongsheng Temple here has several vertical entrances and three horizontal rows. The spacing between each entrance is also very good, and each Buddhist temple is also very large. Among them, the volume of the Main Hall is also relatively forward compared to the various contemporary or ancient halls I have run in recent years, and the statues in the Main Hall are also unique. There is also a hall of A-Zhuo-ye Guanyin behind the Main Hall. This Guanyin Hall can also be climbed to the top and overlooked. There is also a higher Wanghai Tower further back, but it is not open yet. There is a Hall of Eminent Monks on the north side of the Main Hall, which is used to enshrine the emperors who became monks in the history of the Dali Kingdom. You can come and learn about their unique history.

The entire Three Pagodas scenic area is located at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, facing east from the west. Walking from the Three Pagodas to Chongsheng Temple, the road gets higher and higher, but the height design of the buildings just ensures that the building in front can block all the buildings behind it, so as to highlight the building in front. This in turn means that even if you stand on the upper floor of a higher building at the back of the temple, you cannot see the next building on the central axis. But this does not prevent you from overlooking the beautiful scenery of Erhai Lake from those higher places.

There are also several places in the Three Pagodas Scenic Area where you can take pictures of the reflections of the Three Pagodas. One is the Tianlong Pond near the South Gate, but because this pond is relatively small and there is water flowing in and out around it, the water surface is not very stable, and I don’t think the reflection effect is as good as the lake in the Three Pagodas Reflection Park.

In addition, there is a shadow pool on the northwest side of the three towers. We took a glimpse of it when we entered, but later forgot to go and see it.

I thought the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple were just three pagodas, but when I went in I found out that it was called a tourist area... I think it would take 2-3 hours to go around, and the distance is not short, so you can consider buying a tourist bus ticket. As for the Three Pagodas Reflection Park, don't go there. There is a piece of water in the tourist area itself, and you can see the reflections of the three pagodas when it is calm.

By Yoyopi |

A closer look reveals that the three pagodas are not perpendicular to the ground, because the base of the pagoda was damaged and tilted in the earthquake. The tour guide reminded the tourists in the group that they should not stand in a straight line with the pagodas when taking photos, and it is unlucky to stand with your back to the pagodas. So the tourists excitedly stretched out their hands, and one by one they became the pagoda-carrying Li Tianwang.

If you want to take a non-monotonous photo of the three towers, you can go to the Reflection Pond near the North Tower and take advantage of the reflections of the leaves and the water to take a perfect photo.

The Three Pagodas are actually the landmark buildings of Dali, and they are located inside the Chongsheng Temple. Actually, I am not interested in this kind of temple scenic area, and I think that enclosing the temple as a scenic area and charging admission seems to be contrary to my impression of the Buddhist pure land. But because it was my first time in Dali, I wanted to see the Three Pagodas, and the student ID card was half price, so I decided to go in and take a look.

If you want to have a better view of the three pagodas, you need to walk back to the higher pavilions of Chongsheng Temple. The entire Chongsheng Temple area is built on the central axis, and the main buildings such as the Great Hall and the Yutong Guanyin Hall are all on the central axis. Going up along the central axis, the solemnity of the temple comes to you.

Climbing up the pavilion, looking back at the three pagodas in front of the temple, they look like bamboo shoots growing out of the lush forest. The Erhai Lake and the houses in the distance are vaguely visible, and the view suddenly becomes clear.

By The scenery on the road |

The newly built mountain gate. You need to buy a ticket of 75 yuan to enter. (The original ticket was 120 yuan)

The layout of the pagoda in front and the temple behind is rare. The closer you get to the pagoda, the more you can feel the majestic aura of the pagoda. The small pagoda on the south side is slightly tilted, while the small pagoda on the north side is still upright. There is a reflection pool behind the pagoda, a pool of clear water. In the morning, I came to the reflection pool to take pictures of the three pagodas against the light. The four characters "永镇山川" on the pagoda were written by Mu Shijie, the Duke of Qian in the Ming Dynasty. Each character is 1.7 meters square. The windows and doors on the pagoda have been blocked by bricks, and the Guanyin statue enshrined in the pagoda is no longer visible.

It is still quite large. The three pagodas are ancient buildings and have been restored after liberation. The Chongsheng Temple is completely newly built, but several halls are well built and very spectacular. After entering the park, just keep walking inside.

Lunch was a vegetarian buffet in Chongsheng Temple, with five or six dishes and a soup, and it tasted pretty good for only 25 yuan. Recommended.

The moment we entered the gate, Xiao Ai and I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow"

Among the three towers, the main tower named "Qianxun Tower" suddenly stands before your eyes.

The buildings of the Southern Song Dynasty are now in front of us

This glance is more than a thousand years

Chongsheng Temple was destroyed long ago, and for a long time there was a pagoda but no temple in the Chongsheng Temple scenic area. The temple complex that can be seen now was rebuilt in recent years.

The wish cards made by tourists and believers

The wind blows and the bells ring. My wishes are accompanied by the pleasant bell sounds. I wonder if the Buddha has received them.

In the sunlight, he is so pure and bright

It seemed as if the changes around him had never affected him.

He has been watching quietly.

Thousands of years ago, thousands of years later

The past and present are all gone, but the pagoda remains

My earliest impression of Dali probably came from "The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" written by Jin Yong. I loved the infatuated Duan Yu the most in the story, so this time I came to the Three Pagodas specifically to see the place where thirty emperors of the Duan family, including Duan Yu, became monks.

The best way to visit the Three Pagodas is to enter the scenic area, take an electric car to the top of the mountain, where the Main Hall of Chongsheng Temple is located, and then slowly walk down the steps in the temple to finally reach the Three Pagodas.

It is very close to the ancient city, a ten-minute walk. The ten-minute walk allowed me to see Cangshan Mountain in the distance, which truly confirmed the snow on Cangshan Mountain. The snow on Cangshan Mountain in the distance formed a sharp contrast with the ancient city of Dali, and I could see four seasons at a glance. It was just like what I remembered. Maybe it appeared in the elementary school textbooks, or I saw photos somewhere, and I always felt an impression of it. In fact, I am very impressed by the wisdom of the ancients. They were able to build these three towers, and they were able to stand firm after many earthquakes. It is really amazing and admirable. The reflection of the three towers is one of the most beautiful scenery in the scenic area. The three towers are perfectly reflected in the lake. Due to the off-season, there are really few people in the scenic area, which also allows us to spend more time taking pictures seriously and leaving the most beautiful moments. Standing between the mountains and rivers, with perfect symmetry, this is really the pinnacle of art, and it also adds beautiful scenery to the city.

By South Wall Girl Doesn't Look Back |

There was a group of pigeons at the pagoda halfway up the mountain. I bought a bag of rice to feed the pigeons. A group of pigeons surrounded me and followed me when I walked. It felt really good.

There is a pond on the hillside, with Cangshan Mountain opposite. The white color on the mountain is snow. What’s more important is that the water is super clear, and the reflections on the lake surface are printed in the lake, forming a kind of symmetrical beauty.

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, with its long history, rich cultural connotation and unique aesthetic value, has been listed as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council. It is not only a symbol of Dali, but also a symbol of ancient history and culture of Yunnan.

The three pagodas in Chongsheng Temple, the big one in the middle is called Qianxun Pagoda, which was built during the Nanzhao Kingdom period in the Tang Dynasty. It is a square dense-eave hollow brick pagoda. The two small pagodas in the north and south have a conical outline, which is a typical Song Dynasty architectural style. They were built during the Duan Zhengyan and Duan Zhengxing periods of the Dali Kingdom. The two small pagodas are 70 meters away from the big pagoda, and the three pagodas are distributed in an isosceles triangle.

The Three Pagodas Cultural Tourism Area of Chongsheng Temple in Dali is divided into two parts: the front area is centered on the three pagodas, and the main attractions include the three pagodas, the Nanzhao Jianji Bell and the Yutong Guanyin Hall; the back area is the Chongsheng Temple, which is known as the first temple of Han Buddhism.

Ticket price: 75 yuan/person, opening hours: 7:30-18:30, sightseeing bus ticket: one-way 15 yuan/person.

It takes about 3 hours to hike back and forth through the entire scenic area. It is recommended to take a sightseeing bus to the top of the scenic area first, and then walk back, which will be more labor-saving.

The landmark of Dali, a must-see attraction when visiting Dali, and one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. If you go to Dali, you still have to go to the Three Pagodas Chongsheng Temple. The scenery is very beautiful. If you are lucky, you can see the Buddha's light appearing in my travel notes, which is very amazing. The reflection of the three pagodas at the popular glass is also cleverly designed. But you have to queue up, or you have to photoshop out the idle people. I personally like this place. It has the smell of Buddhist incense and beautiful scenery. It is a very good scenic spot that integrates humanities and scenery.

On the third day in Dali, I took a 9pm flight back to Chengdu. I had nothing to do in the afternoon so I came to visit the Three Pagodas. At first, I had no hope for this attraction, thinking it was just three pagodas. I bought a ticket for 75 yuan. In addition, I could buy a round-trip ticket for the sightseeing bus for 25 yuan, a total of 100 yuan.

After entering the scenic area, a warm-hearted lady stopped me and said that if I bought a sightseeing bus ticket, I could be assigned a tour guide to explain the cultural background of the three towers. I gladly accepted it.

After getting on the sightseeing bus, I found that there was a royal temple of the former Dali Kingdom behind the Three Pagodas, Chongsheng Temple. The tour guide said that this temple is very effective and you don't have to fulfill your wish. The locals believe in Guanyin Bodhisattva the most, which is also the origin of the name of Chongsheng Temple. It is said that there are only two places in the country that enshrine the real body of Guanyin Bodhisattva, one in Putuo Mountain and the other in Chongsheng Temple in Dali. Friends with faith can come to worship.

There is a patterned stone slab in the middle of the stone road in the temple. It is the dragon vein. Walking on it means good luck and fortune. I also saw the frog-singing stone. I saw it on CCTV many years ago. Today I tried it myself and I could really hear the frogs croaking. The tour guide said that the stone used for knocking was more audible, but it mysteriously disappeared. Now this stone is a substitute. Anyway, this place is worth a visit.

The three towers consist of three pavilions, one large and two small. The large tower is also known as the Qianxun Tower, and the local people call it the "Wenbi Tower". It is 69.13 meters high, 9.9 meters square at the bottom, and has 16 levels. It is a typical dense-eaves hollow square brick tower in Dali. The small towers in the north and south are both 10 levels high, 42.17 meters high, and are octagonal dense-eaves hollow brick towers. The three towers stand on three legs, with the Qianxun Tower in the middle and the two small towers guarding the north and south.

Chongsheng Temple is located about one kilometer north of the ancient city of Dali, Yunnan Province. Chongsheng Temple was built during the Nanzhao period (the specific construction situation varies). After Nanzhao, Buddhism was more developed in Dali Kingdom than in Nanzhao, and it was known as the "Buddhist Kingdom" and the "Wonderful Fragrance Kingdom". After the construction of Chongsheng Temple, it became the center of Buddhist activities during the Nanzhao Kingdom and Dali Kingdom. The "saint" worshipped by Chongsheng Temple is Guanyin. At that time, the worship of Guanyin was very popular in Dali area. Among the 22 emperors of Dali Kingdom, nine of them went to Chongsheng Temple to become monks. In 1056 AD, the King of Myanmar came to Chongsheng Temple twice to welcome the tooth of Buddha, and Dali Emperor Duan Silian presented him with a jade Buddha in the temple. Chongsheng Temple was once famous for its five major artifacts (three pagodas, Nanzhao Jianji huge bell, rain copper Guanyin statue, three holy golden statues, and "Buddha Capital" plaque), but except for the three pagodas, Chongsheng Temple and the other four major artifacts were destroyed by wars and natural disasters in successive dynasties. Reconstruction started in 2003 and was completed in 2005.

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple consist of this one, which is big, and two smaller ones. The big pagoda is called Qianxun Pagoda. The distance between Qianxun Pagoda and the two smaller pagodas in the north and south is 70 meters, forming a tripod. The existing height of Qianxun Pagoda is 69.13 meters, and the base width is 9.9 meters. It is a square, dense-eaves hollow brick pagoda with 16 levels. It is one of the tallest existing pagodas in China. It is a typical building of the Tang Dynasty, along with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an. Its shape is also similar to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, and it is one of the typical pagodas of the Tang Dynasty. The inner wall of the pagoda is vertically connected from top to bottom, and is equipped with a wooden staircase.

Chongsheng Temple is backed by Cangshan Mountain in the west and faces Erhai Lake in the east! It takes the power of the mountains and the beauty of the lake and sea to protect the area.

I went to the Three Pagodas just to take pictures of their reflections! There is a hidden attraction here that is not listed on the ticket. With the ticket, you can enter the Three Pagodas Park next to the Three Pagodas Temple. It is also a good place to take pictures of the reflections of the Three Pagodas. And watching the Three Pagodas in the Three Pagodas Reflection Park is also a different scene. The water in the Reflection Park is as green as jade, calm and peaceful as a mirror, and the reflections of the Three Pagodas are particularly clear. The cedars by the pool are lush and green, and the weeping willows are swaying and dancing. The Three Pagodas and their reflections naturally blend Cangshan and Erhai into a beautiful picture, which is breathtaking.

Located 14 kilometers away from Xiaguan, 1.5 kilometers north of Dali, at the foot of Yingle Peak of Cangshan Mountain, with Cangshan Mountain behind and Erhai Lake in front, the base of the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple is square, surrounded by stone railings, with stone lions carved on the four corners of the railings. There is a stone screen wall in the middle of the east side, with the four characters "永镇山川" written on it, which is quite impressive. The main tower of the three towers is called Qianxun Tower, which is a square 16-story dense eaves tower. The two small towers in the south and north are located behind the main tower, with a distance of 97.5 meters between the two towers and 70 meters from the main tower, forming a tripod of three towers. The three towers stand in a magnificent momentum and are a symbol of Dali's history.

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. The three pagodas stand tall, and the Cangshan Mountain reflects the snow. The scenery is beyond description, and the mood of walking is extremely comfortable. I really don't understand why someone who came here a few years ago to save the ticket missed such a beautiful scenery.

By sharon |

The ancient pagodas are thousand-year-old monuments, while the temples are all newly built by modern people.

Don't follow the guides in the scenic area. They said so much just for... (Maybe we are a group tour)

The entrance fee to the scenic spot is 75 yuan, and the tour bus is 35 yuan (20 yuan for going up and 15 yuan for going down), so it is recommended to take the tour bus one way. Walk around, otherwise you will miss many attractions.

Pure dry goods! "It's easy to go down the mountain, but difficult to go up the mountain." It is recommended to take a one-way sightseeing bus for 20 yuan to go directly to the top - the Great Hall, and then slowly go down the mountain to visit. You won't feel tired and can still enjoy the scenery.

The main hall is very impressive. Since it is a holy place for Buddhism, please take off your hat before entering and do not make loud noises.

The green avenue leading to the three towers is magnificent. The three towers under the blue sky, the daytime and the green trees create a harmonious and healing picture. Being in it, you can also experience the feeling of climbing up and looking far into the distance.

Dali Three Pagodas: I came here just for the three pagodas. The 75 yuan ticket is not cheap. The scenery is OK. The temple inside looks newly built. Just visit. Don't take the small bus in the scenic area.

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple are the legendary ancestral temple of Duan Yu's family. The emperors of the Duan family loved to come here to live as monks when they had nothing to do. Later, we found the statues of Duan Yu and his father Duan Zhengchun in a side hall that enshrines the eminent monks of the Duan family. However, it looks like their martial arts value is about -5 (but the real name of Duan Yu's prototype is actually Duan Zhengyan)

The only truly preserved ancient monuments of the Chongsheng Temple are the three pagodas, but they have been expanded to cover a very large area. With the three pagodas as the central axis, many expanded temples climb up layer by layer toward the slope of Cangshan Mountain. It took more than ten minutes for the electric car to drive from the entrance to the highest point, the Main Hall. It turns out that there are still a lot of open spaces in Yunnan.

We chose to take the bus to the top floor, and then walk down slowly (in fact, in this case, the ticket for the battery car going down would be completely wasted). The third floor of the Guanyin Building, the highest point, overlooks the entire Erhai Lake, which is very suitable for taking panoramic photos. The clouds that sometimes cloudy and sometimes sunny spread the sunlight dramatically on the Erhai Lake and the plains, like watching a long landscape scroll, so beautiful. After that, we saw various newly built artificial Buddhist temples along the way, including the Buddha, Guanyin, the Five Hundred Arhats, the Four Great Vajra, etc. Among them, there is a very funny statue of Nine Dragons Bathing the Buddha, with nine dragons opening their mouths and spitting at the Buddhist beads, and the English next to it says Nine Dragons bathing the buddha; because Buddhism in Yunnan is also influenced by Tibetan Buddhism to a certain extent, in one of the main halls below, we also saw the Mahakala Bodhisattva.

When we walked to the bottom, we finally saw the real attraction, the three towers with a real sense of history. From a distance, the three towers seemed a little crooked, and the one on the south seemed to be the most crooked. After all, more than a thousand years of wind and rain have witnessed the rise and fall of this land. The big tower in the middle is named "Chihiro Tower", which immediately reminded me of Mr. Hayao Miyazaki.

Chongsheng Temple is called "Tianlong Temple" in Jin Yong's martial arts novel "Tianlong Babu". In history, 9 Dali emperors became monks in Chongsheng Temple. Chongsheng Temple was destroyed by wars and natural disasters in successive dynasties, and was not restored until 2005. Today, there are many pavilions, halls, towers, halls, etc. in the temple, which covers a large area. You must be patient to walk through it.

It is a Buddhist holy place. Whether to go or not is a matter of personal preference. We went there just to see the three pagodas. It was windy when we went there, so we didn’t get to take a picture of the reflection of the pagodas. It was a pity! Friends who went there suggested taking a battery car up there. It would be really tiring to climb to the main hall!

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. I was attracted by the classic reflection of the three pagodas and planned to visit them. Later, I changed my plan for some reasons. I didn’t expect to go there in the end (because I had to catch the train to Kunming in the afternoon, and I was afraid that it would be too late if it was too far, so I could only choose nearby attractions). Unfortunately, the Wanghai Tower in the scenic area was under maintenance, so I didn’t go there.

I was attracted by the classic picture of the reflection of the three towers and planned to visit it. Later, I changed my plan for some reasons. I didn't expect to go there in the end. Unfortunately, the Wanghai Tower in the scenic area was under maintenance, so I didn't go. After visiting the Three Towers of Chongsheng Temple and watching the reflection of the three towers in the Juying Pool in the scenic area, I went to the nearby Three Towers Park to see the reflection. Compared with the Three Towers Scenic Area and the Three Towers Reflection Park, the former has a large area and many attractions, while the latter has a small area and a single scenery. But if you just want to see the reflection of the three towers, the situation is completely opposite. The Juying Pool is small and cannot compare with the pool in the Three Towers Park, where you can clearly see the reflection of the three towers.

Many people say it is useless, but I personally think it is still worth a visit and quite shocking.

Go early, because I went too late, so I didn't get in. You need a ticket to enter, and there is a discount for student ID cards.

A landmark of Dali, it is worth visiting. The silhouettes of the three towers against the clear sky and their reflections in the pool water are extremely beautiful.

Today, I went to Dali March Street. I wanted to go to Chongsheng Temple but the road was heavily congested. Later, I navigated to the scenic area gate on the mountain. The tickets I bought online could not be checked because there was no ticket checking equipment, so I refunded the tickets. I originally wanted to go to March Street, but I didn't dare to add to the congestion. In the future, if there are important festivals in the local area, don't think about experiencing them and get out as soon as possible.

The first fruit shop on the left side of the Santa Pagoda South Exit, I bought 5 mangosteens for 60 yuan, and without knowing it, I bought cherry tomatoes, goat milk fruits, and carrots, which were at least twice as expensive as other shops!!!

By Tianyu |

The three towers are magnificent, and the scenery inside the courtyard is also nice. But the ticket seller when we went to buy tickets today was really... I asked her what the difference was between a full-price ticket and a half-price ticket, and she said indifferently, "It's written on the sign outside, you can see for yourself." Oh ~ this service is not worthy of the scenery of the park!!!

I went here 20 years ago, so I didn't go in again. There is a square outside where you can see the three towers, and cars can only be parked on the side of the road.

Chongsheng Temple, facing Erhai Lake in the east and Cangshan Mountain in the west, is located about one kilometer north of the ancient city of Dali in Yunnan Province, at the foot of Cangshan Mountain and the shore of Erhai Lake. In history, nine Dali emperors became monks in Chongsheng Temple. Chongsheng Temple was once famous for its five major artifacts (three pagodas, Nanzhao Jianji giant bell, rain-bronze Guanyin statue, three golden statues of saints, and "Buddha Capital" plaque).

This is the most expensive attraction in Dali and one of the few that requires tickets. If you have never been there, you can go and see it. It does reflect the three pagodas, and you can take the cable car to Cangshan Mountain. If you don't want to buy a ticket to go in, you can also take pictures of the three pagodas outside the door.

By 🐏 |

Value for money three and a half stars

There are scenic area tour buses, and the terrain goes from low to high. If you are afraid of being tired, you can take the scenic area bus up and walk down. You can mainly see the reflections of the three towers and several treasure halls. If you have plenty of time and physical strength, you can walk up and down. The sightseeing takes about 2-3 hours. The one-way tour bus seems to be 15 yuan.

By Canghai Dusk Cangwu |

The parking lot is very large, and the ticket price is 75 yuan. You don't need to buy an electric car because after the three pagodas, there is a temple hall. How can you give up the opportunity to walk during the Spring Festival when you want to pray devoutly? (It's not that big, and it only takes 3 hours to walk slowly)

By First meeting |

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, in fact, I think the main attraction is not the three pagodas, but the temple. The temple is magnificent and historically representative. Although I only occasionally listened to the guide's explanation (not interested), I went in through the main gate and walked slowly up the mountain. The scenery on both sides of the road was very beautiful. The main hall overlooks the entire Dali, and the feeling is really comfortable. So I still recommend friends to go and see it when they have time.

By Huang Xiaoqiu loves traveling |

The temple is very large and it would take at least two hours to walk around it. It is very close to here by bus from the ancient city, and a Didi bus only costs about ten yuan.

I remember seeing an illustration of Dali when I was a kid, with the three pagodas reflected on the lake, which was super beautiful. Later, I dreamed about it, and when I finally saw the three pagodas, my heart was relieved. With the green Cangshan Mountain as the background, and the blue sky and white clouds, and flocks of white gulls flying around, it was still very shocking.

By lol |

The Three Pagodas Temple is a bit tasteless. If you go, the tickets are not cheap, and I am not interested in the temple. If you don't go, it is a 5A temple, which is a pity. So we compromised and went to the parking lot in front of the Three Pagodas Temple. We looked at it from a distance and checked in. As for the photo of the three pagodas reflected in the water, you have to go inside to take it~

Chongsheng Temple was the royal temple of the Dali Kingdom. The only existing monuments are three ancient towers. The temple behind was rebuilt in modern times. It is said that these three towers are full of mystery.

In fact, there is really no need to spend 100 dollars to enter the gate to see the three towers. The square opposite the scenic area is an excellent viewing point, and there is also an excellent viewing point halfway up the Cangshan Mountain.

The Three Pagodas are the symbol of Dali. I used to smoke this brand of cigarettes a lot. On the cigarette boxes, you can see three pagodas standing by the water. This time, I finally got to experience their majestic appearance in person.

Although I went to Chongsheng Temple to take photos of the three pagodas, this trip did not just bring me a few more photos. What was added here was a state of mind, and what was missing was only one person.

By King Elephant 💪 |

The park is quite big. The battery car is 20/person for going up the mountain and 15/person for going down the mountain. The ticket is 75/person. I suggest that you take the battery car up the mountain and then walk down. The battery car up and down the mountain is not useful at all, which is a waste and is equivalent to spending more money. Finally, the electronic ticket has no ticket stub. Everyone knows that the temple is a place to burn incense and worship Buddha. This temple is rare and quiet, and there are many incense, but it is so quiet that it calms people's mood. My mother and I don't believe in Buddhism. We finished the tour in 40 minutes. If you believe in Buddhism and love Buddha, it may take more than two hours.

The Three Pagodas Area is actually the famous three pagodas. There is no explanation and nothing that can keep you watching for a long time, so you just glance at it.

The only national 5A scenic spot in Dali, you will regret it if you go there, and you will feel sorry if you don't go there, that's it. I don't think it's worth going there, probably because I don't have any faith.

By Panda@Wangzai |

Entering the scenic area, climbing up and looking far, the steps of the royal temple that are more than 30 degrees upward are decorated with various small stalls for praying and burning incense on both sides, so I generously wrote down my New Year's blessings and hung them on the most beautiful paradise in my dream, sending the most sincere blessings for 2019. The wind was very strong, blowing on the face seemed a bit painful, and it was very dry. In addition, in the area with an altitude of more than 2,400 meters, it felt a bit uncomfortable to walk a few more steps. But since I came out to play, I still had to follow my heart and climbed to the front of the main hall with gritted teeth. The 11-faced Guanyin statue, magnificent and imposing, guarded the ancient city of Dali.

Chongsheng Three Pagodas Temple is a Buddhist holy place in Dali. It was first built during the Fengyou period of Nanzhao. The Three Pagodas Temple is famous for the three pagodas in the temple. The Three Pagodas Temple is the Three Pagodas Temple mentioned in Xu Xiake's "Diary of a Trip to Yunnan" and the Tianlong Temple described in Jin Yong's "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils". The vegetation in the Three Pagodas Temple scenic area is lush. When we went there, there were not many tourists. We could take a battery car to the top of the mountain platform. From the platform to the highest point of the scenic area, we could overlook Erhai Lake.

My favorite classic attraction in Dali. I have known Chongsheng Temple since the Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. It is said that several emperors of Dali became monks in Chongsheng Temple. The three towers are the symbol of Chongsheng Temple. The tallest tower is called Qianxun Tower, which is inscribed with "Forever Guarding the Mountains and Rivers". It is very beautiful.

By Wutong Rain |

The only 5A scenic spot in Dali, with a central axis running through the entire park, the buildings are magnificent and imposing, and it is a microcosm of Dali's history and culture. With blue sky, white clouds, green mountains and clear waters, the palace seems like a fairyland.

By Cinnabar |

Perhaps for those who do not believe in Buddhism, temples are all the same, with Bodhisattvas and Buddhas in charge of different departments enshrined in each temple, so they feel there is no need to come.

But the Three Pagodas are the landmark and symbol of Dali after all, and they give me a deep sense of time. The temples are backed by endless green mountains, and the momentum is magnificent. There is a reason why you must come.

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple are located in the northwest of Dali Ancient City, facing Yingle Peak of Cangshan Mountain to the west and Erhai Lake to the east, about 1,500 meters away from the foot of the mountain. The three pagodas consist of three pavilions, one large and two small. The big pagoda is also known as Qianxun Pagoda, and the local people call it "Wenbi Pagoda". It is 69.13 meters high, 9.9 meters square at the bottom, and has 16 levels. It is a typical hollow square brick pagoda with dense eaves in Dali. The three pagodas stand on three legs, with Qianxun Pagoda in the middle and the two small pagodas guarding from north to south.
