I have been to Dali's Little Putuo Island many times, and the scenery is different every time. I remember the earliest time was in 1988, when I went to the island to play and eat grilled shrimps on the island (now that Erhai Lake is protected, there are no such things on the island). Now every time I pass by there, I have to stop the car, look at the island first, then look at Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, feel the sea breeze, and let the Erhai Lake elves "seagulls" rise and fall freely. Driving around Erhai Lake is a very good route. However, due to the different terrains on the east and west sides of Erhai Lake, the effect of the road around the lake is also different. The terrain on the west bank is relatively flat, so there are many villages and towns here, so the villages and towns are actually closest to the lake, and the road around the lake has to move further to the shore. The terrain on the east bank is relatively steep, and the villages and towns cannot be spread out, so the road around the lake is really close to the lake in many places. Therefore, many travel photos with the road as the foreground are completed on the east bank.

Xiao Putuo is the most essential embellishment in the middle section of the east coast. It is an independent island with a small temple on it. It adds some historical and cultural embellishments to the pure natural background of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake.
