Heilongtan Park is free for locals, but for outsiders, we have to pay 50 yuan for the ancient city maintenance fee. We walked a section of the park from the back door. The stream was clear and the vegetation was lush. There is a hiking trail that leads up the mountain, but it is closed in winter due to fire prevention.

It was really amazing when I went there ten years ago, but I didn’t feel the same way this time. I fed the fishes by the pond for a while. Entering the park requires an 80 yuan ancient city maintenance fee.

Heilongtan is a relatively quiet small park.

Very suitable for artistic photography

There are two pools of water in Heilongtan, one clear and one turbid. The two pools are connected, but fish do not swim between them. This is called different circles and there is no need to merge.

The ticket price for students at Heilongtan is 11 per person. Although it is my second time here, different people still have different feelings. It is still very lively when the azalea flowers are blooming, and there are many people barbecuing inside.

Black Dragon Pond is located in a canyon with a total length of 4 kilometers and a water level drop of 220 meters in the north of Lupi Pass in Shicheng Town, Miyun District, 100 kilometers away from Beijing. There are 18 famous pools scattered in the deep and exciting canyon, including Chunhua, Qiuyue, Pingsha, Luoyan, Qu, Die, Chen, Xuantan, etc., with various shapes and styles, each leading the way.

I visited Heilongtan on the sixth day of the first lunar month. In fact, I come across this park once or twice every year. I came across this park again during the Spring Festival holiday. I walked around and came across Lin Zexu's tomb in the northeast corner of the park. Only then did I know the origin of Lin Zexu and Kunming.

Although the Black Dragon Pond is not as famous as the one in Lijiang, it is also very unique. There are two pools of water at the foot of the mountain, one clear and one turbid. They are connected to each other but the turbid does not become clear, and the clear does not become turbid, like the Taoist "Taichi Diagram" of half yin and half yang. Although the water surface is connected, the fish in the two springs do not cross the pond, forming a strange spectacle of "two waters intersecting, but the fish do not travel between them". There are so many koi in it, and they are super big and super fat. Next to it is the Dragon King Temple. I always feel that something strange will happen at night...

This is also a paradise for anglers and photographers!

Located at the foot of Wulao Peak in Longquan Mountain in the northern suburbs of Kunming, it has a long history. According to research, the Heishui Temple in the Han Dynasty is the current Heilongtan Taoist Temple. The scenic area is beautiful. It is known as the first scenic spot in Yunnan. From certain angles, you can take pictures of Yulong Snow Mountain, Deyue Tower, Dashiqiao and Heilongtan at the same time. It is a classic among Yunnan scenery photos.

The Black Dragon Pool itself is beautiful, and the reflection of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is simply the finishing touch.

In a broad sense, Heilongtan can represent the entire scenic area. In a narrow sense, it refers to the two pools of water, one clear and one muddy, which have Tai Chi connotations.

I remember that there is a Black Dragon Pool in many places I have visited, which may be related to Liu Yuxi's saying "Water is not deep, but it is magical if there is a dragon". However, the Black Dragon Pool Park in the northern suburbs of Kunming is still worth a visit: first, there is Longquan Mountain here, and there are two pools of water at the foot of the mountain, one clear and one turbid, which are connected to each other but the turbid water does not become clear, and the clear water does not become turbid; second, there is the Black Dragon Palace, which is known as the "No. 1 Ancient Temple in Central Yunnan"; third, it is famous for its Tang plum, Song cypress, Yuan fir, and Ming tea. There is also a plum blossom exhibition every winter, and citizens and tourists come here to appreciate the plum blossoms in an endless stream in winter.

There are a lot of people, the scenery is not beautiful, and I have to wait for half a day to get a parking space. I don’t recommend going there in this season. There are only a few sparse maple trees, which doesn’t look good.

It's just a shabby little park. I don't recommend it. The ticket price is 16 yuan. To be honest, I think 2 yuan is expensive.

During the Spring Festival, Kunming, the city of spring, has already seen hundreds of flowers in full bloom. Heilongtan has also begun to hold its annual plum blossom exhibition.

Kunming Black Dragon Pool Park is located at the foot of the Wulao Peak of Longquan Mountain, 12 kilometers northeast of Kunming. It is famous for its Tang plum, Ming tea, Song cypress, and Ming tombs, and is known as the "first ancient temple in central Yunnan". Black Dragon Pool was first built in the 27th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1394). Because there is a deep and clear blue pool at the foot of the mountain, it is said that the Dragon Palace of the Black Dragon, the Dragon King of Yunnan, is here. The water here will never dry up all year round, so it was later called "Black Dragon Pool". Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, the people in Kunming area have gone to Black Dragon Pool to worship and pray for rain. In the early Ming Dynasty, the Duke of Qian, Mu, built a large-scale project here and renamed the Dragon God Temple to Black Dragon Palace. The entire Longquan Temple began to take shape. Since then, in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the governors and governors of Yunnan have repaired Longquan Temple many times, and the regulations have been continuously improved. During the Republic of China, it was called Longquan Park, and later it was called Black Dragon Pool Park.

Heilongtan Park is the largest plum blossom viewing spot and plum blossom research base in the southwest region. “Exploring Plum Blossoms at Longquan” is one of the new sixteen scenic spots in Kunming.

I think I had never been to Heilongtan Park before I had children. The reason I went there was because I saw someone posting photos on WeChat Moments of people grilling by a small pond surrounded by flowers. I didn't care whether the children would eat barbecue or not, so I immediately booked and took Xiaobao with me. Heilongtan has a magical pool of water, half of which is clear and half is turbid. In addition, you can see the plum blossom exhibition in winter. If mothers love barbecue, they can bring their children here for smokeless barbecue. Compared with the barbecue in Haigeng Park, the environment is not that much better.

I went to Heilongtan and it was not disappointing. This park is very popular with me and I like it very much in summer. This is what a waterfall park should look like. We didn’t see it this time by chance. It’s still nice to bring the baby here to see the waterfall.

Black Dragon Pool Park used to charge an entrance fee, but now you can visit it with the ancient city maintenance fee. If you haven't paid the ancient city maintenance fee, locals will take you in at the park entrance for 10 yuan per person. Black Dragon Pool is the best place to take pictures of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The image of the Five-Arch Bridge, Deyue Tower, Snow Mountain and the reflection of the Snow Mountain in Black Dragon Pool has long become a classic scenery postcard of Lijiang. Friends who choose to visit Black Dragon Pool should try to get there before sunrise. In the morning, there are few people, the lake is calm, the snow is reflected in the lake, and the slowly rising sunrise will definitely allow you to take great pictures.

Located at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain at the northern end of Lijiang Ancient Town, the Black Dragon Pool is dotted with ancient buildings including the Dragon God Temple, Deyue Tower, Suocui Bridge, Yuhuang Pavilion, and the Jietuo Lin Gate Tower and Wufeng Tower of Zhishan Fuguo Temple from the Ming Dynasty that were later relocated here, the Guangbi Tower of the former prefectural government office from the Ming Dynasty, and the Tinglixie, Yiwen Pavilion, and Wenmingfang from the Qing Dynasty.

The water of Heilongtan gushes out from the cracks in the rocks, and the clear springs from the mountains converge into a 40,000 square meter pool. The surrounding area is beautiful with clear water and green mountains. The ancient buildings with beautiful shapes are dotted in between. The flowing charm and colorful scenery often attract people to stop and linger.

Black Dragon Pond is like a garden. It is nice to visit it if you are closer to the city. It is a rip-off to travel so far to visit it. It took more than an hour to get there by car from Kunming Railway Station. The Black Dragon Pond I saw was just a small pond with some koi in it. In short, if you don't have much time in Kunming, I don't recommend going here. Don't even compare it with the Black Dragon Pond in Lijiang. It is just a leisure park. We went there during the Plum Blossom Festival. I am very satisfied with the reflection photo I took. It has the artistic conception of sparse shadows and shallow water.

The ticket price for Heilongtan during the Spring Festival is 16 RMB. This place is very suitable for visiting during the winter Spring Festival, because at this time, large areas of plum blossoms are blooming in Heilongtan. Because the plum blossoms happened to be blooming when I went there, I felt very good about this place. If it is in other seasons, I personally do not recommend going there, because at that time the whole place has no characteristics and is no different from an ordinary park.

The park is easy to find. Just ask passers-by and you can get there by bus. The scenery is just like a normal lake view. If you have been to Pudacuo, you don’t need to come here. It feels almost the same.

This park is not far from the ancient city of Lijiang. You don't need to pay a ticket and the scenery is pretty good. If you want to relax, you can go there if you are not in a hurry.

Hehe, Black Dragon Pond is purely a typical cultural landscape. I personally think this is also the most boring point of this trip.

I only knew that there was a Black Dragon Pool in Lijiang before, but I didn't expect there was one in Kunming. I heard that the azaleas in Black Dragon Pool were in bloom at the end of March, and they were pretty good, so I wanted to go and see them. I searched Baidu for the approximate location and went there. Black Dragon Pool is located next to Yunnan Agricultural University in Panlong District, Kunming City, and it is still a little far from Taili East Station. It was drizzling on the day I went there, and the sky was gray. It costs 20 yuan to enter the park from the main gate. There are bonsai on the road at the entrance, and the horse cherry blossoms are blooming very gorgeously. At the end of the bonsai is the fork in the road, so I chose to go in on the left. I encountered a little squirrel on the road and took a picture. I wanted to get closer, but I scared it away and it climbed up the tree and disappeared in seconds. The scenic area is not very big and can be visited in one or two hours. There are red maple forests, azalea valley scenic areas, and plum gardens. The fresh green is set off by the bright azaleas, and I am going to be drunk in it. On the way back, I wanted to try my luck and see the little squirrel again. It is furry and cute. But it couldn't even find the two big trees it had climbed up...

I heard that when the weather is good, you can see the reflection of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the Black Dragon Pool Park in the city center, but I think the water quality is very average. Maybe it was because it was really off-season when I went there, and there were very few people in Lijiang city. I want to complain here. I spent half an hour waiting for the bus on the street in front of the Black Dragon Pool. I guess it was bad luck. The other buses came one after another, but the one I was waiting for never came. I think I could have walked back if I had waited that long. In the end, I had to give up the time to go around the Lijiang Ancient Town. Just give up, it's not like I won't come next time anyway.

Take bus No. 249 through the city to Heilongtan, which is located at the foot of Wulao Mountain, 12 kilometers north of Kunming. It has the so-called "four wonders" of Tang plum, Song cypress, Ming tea, and Ming tombs, and is known as the "No. 1 Ancient Temple in Central Yunnan". Tickets are 30 yuan. Generally, you can play for 1-2 hours.

Enter the park and walk along the main road. There are many plum blossoms, but they are not very old. Go up the mountain. There is an ancient tower on the mountain. It is a historical site. It is the Dingfeng Tower of the Ming Dynasty, but there is nothing special about it. I didn’t find any four wonders. Going back, I found that the Longquan Temple with Tang plums was under renovation. I went in from the back and toured in reverse. Longquan Temple was built in the early Ming Dynasty and now has thirteen ancient buildings. Going back from the Black Dragon Courtyard, Longquan Temple is built on the mountain. Go up a few steps. The main gate has red walls and double eaves. There are four big characters on the door - Ziji Xuandu. The so-called Tang plums, Song cypresses, and Ming teas are all in the yard, which is still very tasteful.

The Black Dragon Palace is the main building of the scenic spot, but the courtyard is newly built, and there is really nothing to see. It is said that the Black Dragon Temple was built here in the Han Dynasty, nearly 800 years earlier than the history of Kunming City. The "first ancient temple in central Yunnan" should refer to this place. The Black Dragon Pond at the entrance is very famous. It is said that the Dragon Palace of the Black Dragon King of Yunnan is here. The water in the pond never dries up all year round. The peculiarity is that it is divided into two ponds, the clear and the mixed. There is only a small embankment between the two ponds. The two ponds are connected, but the water is one clear and the other mixed. This is exactly in line with the Taoist "Taichi Diagram" of half yin and half yang. The water in the clear water pond is 11 meters deep, and the spring water gushes out from the bottom of the pond. The deep pond is clear, and the goldfish in it are set off, which is very beautiful.

However, the title of this review is not Kunming Black Dragon Pool, but Lijiang Black Dragon Pool.

Suddenly I remembered that I still had two tickets, so I went straight in. Heilongtan was cool and quiet in the morning, and there were old ladies and grandfathers exercising everywhere. We took pictures while walking. It seems that this place is suitable for a slow stroll. The lake, the pavilion, and the snow in the distance, quietly appreciate it without words.

The park is not big, and it is cool and comfortable when you walk into it, just like walking into autumn. Originally, a lake, a bridge, a pavilion, and a snow-capped mountain formed a picturesque beauty, but due to the continuous rain in the past few days, the majestic snow-capped mountain was covered, leaving only the scenery in the above picture. The thick clouds in the picture were originally the location of the snow-capped mountain, but now it is covered by clouds and cannot be seen, which is a bit regrettable.

Black Dragon Pond is located in the northern suburbs of Kunming. It is not a particularly famous tourist attraction. However, Black Dragon Pond is adjacent to the Kunming Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and there is also a botanical garden, which is worth visiting. During the Anti-Japanese War, Cai Xitao and Yan Jici both founded their own research institutes in Black Dragon Pond. Cai Xitao's Botanical Institute is the predecessor of the Kunming Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Yan Jici founded the Institute of Physics in a dilapidated temple in Black Dragon Pond and trained many physics talents. At that time, the Department of Physics of Southwest Associated University selected students to study abroad, and Yan Jici was almost the chief examiner. According to Yan Jici's recollection, among the international students who were admitted by him, there were more than 10 people including Qian Linzhao, Li Guoding, Guo Yonghuai, Qian Weichang, Fang Shengheng, Qian Sanqiang, etc. Most of these people later became outstanding scientists.

Yan Jici also produced a lot of military supplies and instruments for the anti-Japanese army in Heilongtan. According to statistics, during the war, Yan Jici led people to manufacture 500 1,500-fold telescopes for the front line to meet the needs of medical treatment, scientific research and teaching; more than 1,000 crystal oscillators for radio transmitters to stabilize the wave frequency; more than 300 sets of pentagonal rangefinders and telescopes for use by the Chinese anti-Japanese army and the British Allied Forces stationed in India.

In fact, there is nothing to see in Heilongtan, at least for a southern kid like me.

This kind of park is not new.

After eating rice noodles, we set off to Black Dragon Pool Park. Most people don’t know that there is also a Black Dragon Pool Park in Kunming. The day we went there happened to be the opening of the first Azalea Festival.

But there weren't as many people as I had imagined, it could be said that there were very few people. I saw some elderly people playing mahjong under the trees, and the snack stalls were also deserted.

We just wandered around in the park, but didn't see the rhododendrons that were said to be all over the mountains. Later we realized that we went in the wrong direction from the beginning.

We walked up the mountain full of pine trees, and found several large wolfhounds on the top of the mountain. There was no one around, so I was so scared that I didn't even dare to press the shutter. Fortunately, I saw a forest ranger and walked several hundred meters in the direction he pointed, and finally saw the azalea.

In fact, once you enter the park gate and walk to the left, you will soon see rhododendrons.

Red, purple, pink, white. I never knew that a flower blooming in so many colors all over the mountains and fields could be so beautiful.

The deserted forest allowed us to take as many photos as we wanted, and we didn’t leave Heilongtan Park until the sun went down.

The bus from Heilongtan Park back to the city is waiting at the gate of the park, so you don't have to cross the road. Next to Heilongtan Park is Yunnan Agricultural University, so students who have time can go there for a walk.

Kunming also has a Black Dragon Pool Park. Now is the season for plum blossoms, so we took an hour-long bus to enjoy the plum blossoms. Who knew that the plum blossoms were very sparse, and not as dense as I imagined. The 20 yuan ticket was a bit unfair.

I chose to go to Heilongtan Park and the Kunming Plum Blossom Exhibition. I learned about it on TV and suddenly wanted to go. It was also a kind of enjoyment to see the plum blossoms! There were many koi in a pond in the park. There were fish food for sale at 2 yuan a bag. It was also great to feed the koi!

Black Dragon Lake is quiet and beautiful. My teammates who got up early in the morning went to experience Black Dragon Lake in the early morning and said it was great. I went a little late, but I still liked it! The reflection is beautiful!

You can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance and the water in the lake is clear. However, it is said that the recent construction in Heilongtan has destroyed the original natural waterway of Heilongtan, and now there is no water source. I wonder if this news is credible.

I went with a tour group and had a quick tour. It felt like I was just standing next to the black tan and taking pictures of the snow-capped mountains in the distance. I think it would be interesting to explore it in detail. I hope people who have been there can help me add some information. If it is fun, I will make up for it next time I go to Yunnan.

It is right next to Lijiang Ancient Town, and the environment inside is pretty good. There are special pavilions, mountains and water. It seems that you can enter for free with the ticket for the ancient town maintenance fee.

Although it is not very big, it feels a bit like a small Jiuzhaigou. The water is very good. There is a mutton hotpot restaurant along the way, which is also super good! It is better to drive by yourself, but it takes two hours.

I like the azaleas on the back mountain of Heilongtan. When they are in full bloom in March every year, the entire hillside is breathtakingly beautiful with various colors of azaleas.

After coming in, I was attracted by the unknown tomb in the back mountain. I couldn’t figure out who it belonged to or what its history was, but it was quite interesting.
