The Yunnan Nationalities Village is mainly composed of natural village-style residential buildings, integrating garden landscapes, beautiful waters and green trees.
There are 25 ethnic minority villages in the park, including Dai, Bai, Yi, Jingpo, etc., each with different folk customs and craft performances.
Among them, the Dai Village and the Yi Village are the most worth seeing. In the village, there are also unique Yi-style earthen houses, wine-making workshops, and cultural buildings.
During the Water Splashing Festival, Torch Festival and other ethnic festivals, there will be lively celebrations in the scenic area. You may wish to visit during this period.

My favorite scenic spot must be a place with ethnic characteristics. Maybe I must visit an ethnic village when I come to Yunnan. I didn’t have the chance to visit Xishuangbanna on this trip, so I will enjoy the ethnic village first.
It took more than three hours and we hired a tour guide for 150 yuan per person. You can choose your own tour guide, so I chose the best-looking Miao tour guide. He will explain about a dozen distinctive ethnic villages. The area will be cleared at 5:20 in the evening. I suggest you go in the morning as you won’t have time to finish the tour in the afternoon. Although it’s a little regrettable, I’ll come again, so it’s no big deal.
Dang~This is the gate of the ethnic village. Inside is a pedestrian street, where you can find rice noodles from Jianxinyuan and flower cakes of various brands. The prices are similar. It takes a while to walk to the ticket office.
When I first came in, I didn't think of asking for a tour guide. As a result, I found that it was super big inside. It was really confusing to walk around by myself, and I couldn't understand the meaning of these ethnic buildings. Later, a few people next to us asked for a tour guide, and then I went up to them to ask if we could join them. They said that my mother and I could just follow them. It was so happy~
The tour guides were all dressed in clothes from various ethnic minorities. They took our little sister, a Bai girl, with them. She said that she would take us for a walk for another three and a half hours. The Yunnan government would invite people from ethnic minorities to live here and explain the customs of ethnic minorities to tourists, including Dai, Mongolian, Zhuang, Bai, and Yi.
As we walked on, we saw a mountain palace, which was the residence of the leader of the Jingpo ethnic group, and therefore it was also the most prosperous of the tribe. On the wooden walls, we could see breast-shaped hangings, which expressed filial piety towards their mothers.
After entering this door, you will arrive at the Miao ethnic group. The Miao people entertain guests with wine, and they are good drinkers. Some ox horn wine is also sold here, so be careful not to drink too much!
The Bai ethnic group's architecture was probably modeled after the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple in Dali, and was reflected on the water. At noon, the dark clouds gradually dispersed, revealing the clear blue sky.
Dali's residential buildings have ethnic style. Later, a young man who studied architecture and I met in Dali said that Dali's buildings are very well-known in the architectural world.
The tree house of the Dulong people is decorated with vines to protect against wild animals. This was my childhood dream. Wearing a white gauze dress and a flower crown, lying on a rocking chair at night and looking at the stars, it was so nice.
You can walk all the way from Haigeng Park to the ethnic village. Listen to me, you don't need to take the bus. If you have time to wait for the bus, you can walk to the back door of the ethnic village. If you have enough time, you can definitely spend a whole day in the ethnic village! The scenery is beautiful, and the characteristics of multiple ethnic groups are worth taking your children to learn about. Each village in the park has its own special program. You can pay attention to the performance list of the day. After playing a circle, Gege still loves the chicken catching game organized by the Hani people. What's more, it is said that you can take the caught chicken away by yourself, which is amazing. The girl who usually looks timid and quiet, inspired by the great goal of catching a chicken and taking it home, turned into a female man, chasing the chickens all over the hillside, and finally successfully knocked down two! But after our strong persuasion, she still left the chickens, because the experience is important. Bringing children to the ethnic village just happens to popularize the knowledge points of the great unity of the 56 ethnic groups in my country. Gege has a strong desire for knowledge and asked why the Han nationality is the majority ethnic group and does the opposite. I believe that practice makes perfect and that where there is a trace is left behind. Every time a child goes out, he or she is perceiving the world and bringing the knowledge in the textbooks to life.
The Yunnan Nationalities Village scenic area is home to buildings of various ethnic groups in Yunnan, and is a great place to experience the ethnic customs of Yunnan. It contains 25 villages of ethnic minorities in Yunnan, including the Yi, Bai, Dai, Miao, Jingpo, Wa, Hani, Naxi, Lisu, and Dulong. There are performances of various ethnic groups in the scenic area from time to time. The one that impressed me the most was the knife mountain. I was always curious about what the actor's feet were made of, walking barefoot on the sharp knife. There are also various ethnic dances and songs, which are very joyful. The ticket is 130 per person, and I got a half-price ticket with my student ID. There are direct buses 135 and 165 from Kunming City to the scenic area.
The Yunnan Nationalities Village Scenic Area covers an area of 1,264.96 acres, of which 463.96 acres are water areas. There are 25 Yunnan ethnic minority villages, including Dai, Bai, Yi, Naxi, Wa, Bulang, Jinuo, Lahu, Tibetan, Jingpo, Hani, Deang, Zhuang, Miao, Shui, Nu, Mongolian, Buyi, Dulong, Lisu, Pumi, Manchu, Hui, Yao, and Achang. Visitors can not only see the houses with ethnic characteristics in the scenic area, but also see performances of different ethnic groups and experience the culture of ethnic minorities. It feels pretty good!
The ethnic village is near Dianchi Lake. The performances in the square in front of some ethnic minorities are more interesting. However, you need to check the performance arrangement of the day in advance. Since the ethnic village has a certain scale, you still need to arrange your time reasonably to go back and forth between the performance squares. I entered the park at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, so I only caught up with the performances of the Wa, Lahu, Jino and Bai people. The Wa hair-shaking dance is the first time you see a girl with long hair. You can try it yourself. . Regarding the Wa people, the beautiful host mentioned the 18 strange things in Yunnan, one of which is about the Wa people. To be fair, the performance is still far from the wonderfulness of "Yunnan Impression". After all, there is no wonderful stage effect and music, but it is a lively picture. Generally, the audience will be invited to interact after the performance, and dancing together is very interesting. In addition to these free performances, there are paid performances such as "The Call of the Plateau" in the ethnic village. If you are interested, you can buy tickets to watch it. In addition, there is a place to rent ethnic costumes in the park. I saw some children and girls wearing local ethnic costumes to visit everywhere. The glittering Miao decorations are really beautiful.
Here is a friendly reminder: male students should bring a fully charged power bank when going out, and bring USB cables with various connectors in case of emergency. It is best to think of yourself as Doraemon. When visiting the ethnic village, a girl who was traveling alone had a dead phone and asked me if I had a power bank. I said I had one and I could give it to her. Then the girl said that was great and we could go shopping together. As a result, my USB cable didn’t match her phone, and I ended up being more anxious than she was.
It is right next to Dianchi Lake, about 15 minutes walk. After entering the gate, you have to walk 10 minutes to the entrance of the scenic spot. After buying the ticket, I went to watch the elephant show first. It was very exciting. You can also interact with the elephants and perform together. The elephant show is regular, and it seems that there are three shows a day.
There are about 30 villages in the whole scenic spot. There are also performances in other ethnic villages, which are also performed on time. Each village has its own unique characteristics, and you can also see their residential life. In short, the ethnic minority atmosphere in the ethnic village is very strong and it is worth watching and tasting.
You can probably spend 5 hours there. It's very big. There are many special snacks at the entrance. I bought a pancake at the exit. It tasted delicious and I still remember it. There is also bamboo rice on both sides of the street at the entrance to the ethnic village. There are also many local snacks and souvenirs.
I hadn’t seen many nice pictures of the Yunnan Nationalities Village on the Internet before, so I thought it was a very ordinary place, a park full of small vendors and entertainment facilities. Even the taxi drivers in Kunming said it was very boring.
However, when all kinds of tickets in Yunnan are 50% off, the Yunnan Nationalities Village is still priced at 90 yuan. There must be a reason for this. After visiting, I think it is really nice here, very suitable for taking pictures and strolling, and the management is also very good, not boring at all! The landscaping in the scenic area is very careful, with miniature landscapes of various ethnic characteristics. The most impressive ones are the Bai Three Pagodas, the Naxi Courtyard, the Hani Terraced Fields, and the Dai White Pagoda, which are very delicate!
Yunnan Nationalities Village is located on the bank of Dianchi Lake in the southwest suburb of Kunming City, Yunnan Province, covering an area of 1,264.96 acres, of which 463.96 acres are water areas. It gathers villages, ethnic dance halls, ethnic squares, Yunnan Nationalities Museum, laser fountains, water curtain movies and other tourist facilities of 25 ethnic minorities in Yunnan, including Dai, Bai, Yi, Naxi, Wa, Bulang, Jinuo, Lahu, Tibetan, Jingpo, Hani, Deang, Zhuang, Miao, Shui, Nu, Mongolian, Buyi, Dulong, Lisu, Pumi, Manchu, Hui, Yao, Achang, etc. The ethnic villages use the method of restoration display to show the ethnic customs of Yunnan. Walking into the village, you can see ethnic villages of different styles distributed among them, scattered and orderly, each showing its own style. The colorful village architecture, production, life and religious customs of each ethnic minority are all displayed truthfully, which is a microcosm of Yunnan's ethnic culture.
Yunnan has many ethnic groups, but most of them live in remote mountain villages that are difficult to reach. So if you are visiting Yunnan for the first time, you might as well come to the Yunnan Ethnic Village for a cultural fast food and quickly understand the ethnic customs of Yunnan. Each ethnic park in the village is performed by authentic ethnic groups. The tour takes half a day and can be visited together with Dianchi Lake.
I went there in May, and bought a combined ticket from Meituan for the Yunnan Nationalities Village and the Yunnan Impressions at night. So I spent the afternoon wandering around the Yunnan Nationalities Village taking photos, and watched a performance at night. The Yunnan Nationalities Village is really big, and I suggest that friends who are going to visit rent a car at the gate, enter the ticket gate and buy drinks and water outside. Although it is separated by a gate, it is more expensive inside. I was originally planning to visit the Yunnan Nationalities Village and then go to the Dianchi Park next to it, but it turned out to be so big that I was exhausted, and I was wearing sneakers. Recently, if my friends bring a small fan when traveling, they must bring it. It is very beautiful inside and the content is also very exciting. It is still worth a visit, recommended!
There are many ethnic minorities here, all of whom are invited from their original places to live here in order to show everyone the most authentic living conditions. They receive a salary every month. This ethnic village is not commercialized, because what is displayed is ethnic culture, so you can just watch it without a tour guide. With a tour guide, you can have a deeper understanding, such as the Breast Touching Festival, polyandry, etc. The tour guide fee is not cheap.
I spent 360 yuan with my wife on a certain website to buy two park tickets and a package of tickets for the Plateau Shout program. The overall feeling is that it is a very large and beautiful park. There are many flowers, plants and trees. This most expensive performance program feels really not worth it. Because I have seen the Eternal Love when I traveled to Lijiang before, this large-scale performance program in the ethnic village is completely different from the Eternal Love of Lijiang (ordinary version) (I watched the ordinary Eternal Love sent by the group at that time. The taxi driver said that the one I watched was a rubbish version sent by the group, but I think it is very good. I guess I didn’t watch the genuine version, which costs more than 200 tickets). Even the performance hall in the ethnic village is so simple, it feels like being fooled. The program is bland and the sound is turbid. To use an idiom to describe the ethnic village - beautiful scenery. To use an idiom to describe this large-scale paid performance - fill in the numbers.
The ethnic village is right next to Dianchi Lake. It contains villages of most ethnic groups in Yunnan, where you can experience the customs of Yunnan's ethnic minorities. The management is also very standardized, making it more suitable for leisure travel.
There are shops everywhere in Yunnan Nationalities Village. You can walk around it in half an hour and come out. The things inside are available in Dali Ancient Town and Lijiang Ancient Town, so there is no need to rush to buy.
In fact, I never went in, I just punched a card at the door, so my score is not very objective, but judging from the online reviews, it is pretty good and gave a relatively high score. The Yunnan Ethnic Village is on the edge of Dianchi Lake. Yunnan is a province with more than 20 ethnic groups. The ethnic village brings together the villages of various ethnic minorities, allowing you to appreciate the colorful customs of Yunnan at one time.
A very unique place, worth a visit.
It is a collection of scenic spots with characteristics of all ethnic groups in Yunnan. It covers a large area and is also a good place to quickly understand the clothing culture of various ethnic groups. You can go for a visit if you have time.
When I walked in, I felt that the entrance was average and I didn't hold out much hope, but after entering, I found that it is still worth a visit!
There are approximately 25 ethnic minority villages in Yunnan.
There are also various performances and a few snacks in the ethnic village!
The entire park has beautiful scenery. In addition to the unique ethnic buildings, there are also ethnic performances, which are very wonderful.
In the city of Kunming, it's normal, but you still need to walk around.
雲南民族村位於雲南昆明南部的滇池之畔,是展示雲南各民族文化風情的窗口,走進村里不同風格的民族村寨分布其間,錯落有致,各展風采,建築,服飾,用品一一陳列。
It's a bit artificial and lacks flavor. Don't go to the show. It's a waste of money. It's worth a visit. I stayed at the Xiaoyin Inn, which was ok. The room cost 130
The commercial atmosphere around the ethnic village is very strong, and of course, food, accommodation and transportation are also very convenient. Inside the park are buildings with ethnic characteristics, accompanied by singing and dancing and some folk performances, which does not feel very real.
I went there more than 10 years ago. I thought it was fun. If it were now, if I didn't bring my children, I wouldn't go to such a place. Traveling also has a process from noisy to mature.
The scenery is great, the place is big enough, and there are ethnic performances, and you can also watch the production process of handicrafts of various ethnic groups. Through the composition and history of various ethnic groups, you can have a good understanding of the development process of Yunnan. In addition, the writing of the Naxi people is impressive. If the cultural line of the Naxi people can develop independently for thousands of years without being influenced and integrated by Han culture, a writing language system similar to Chinese characters can also emerge.
A place that combines the characteristics of various ethnic groups. I have been there four times at different times. I felt great every time. I encountered performances and characteristics of different ethnic groups. I even participated in a wedding of an ethnic group, but I have forgotten which ethnic group it was. If you have time, this place is still a recommended place to visit.
In 2009, we joined a tour group to Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Diqing in Yunnan. Yunnan has nice scenery and culture, but it is too annoying to join a tour group. The Yunnan Folk Village is a tourist attraction we visited on our own. It was relaxing and the scenery was very good, so it felt particularly good.
It is a place to admire the cultures of various ethnic groups in Yunnan. If you want to see the cultures of various ethnic groups, you can go in and take a look. It is quite large and I think it is no problem to spend a whole day there.
Flowers bloom in the scenic area.
At noon, the ethnic village was holding an ethnic bamboo wine activity, guiding tourists to participate in drinking and teaching them to learn ethnic spoken language. There were quite a lot of people participating, and it was quite lively.
It is recommended that you find a tour guide to explain the tour to you when you go in, so that you can have a deeper understanding of the entire national culture. You will not wander around aimlessly.
We saw a performance at the entrance of the folk village, so we were attracted and fascinated. As they danced, the ethnic minority people walked in, and we followed them in. After walking about 500 meters, we arrived at a gate and found a guard. Then we realized that this was the real entrance. However, my friend and I agreed that we had reached the gate, and it was a rare trip to Yunnan, so we returned to the ticket place to buy tickets and go in. After entering, we found that there was nothing to see. It was just the same ethnic minority group. We played a game with the audience - shouting numbers and hugging people.
I guess we played for about half an hour, and then the prelude to the bonfire party began. First, a torch was auctioned, and then the real bonfire party began. The small torch was 20/torch. It looked extremely lively. PS: Actually, I wanted to walk around, but maybe it was night, I found that other places were blocked with ropes and I couldn’t go in.
Take one stop from the Haigeng Park bus station to the ethnic village. The lakes and mountains are so beautiful that Yunnan is worthy of being called the "South of the Colorful Clouds" Kingdom, which is evergreen all year round! After entering the park, I visited several ethnic minority villages, which are indeed very unique! There was an elephant show at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. There were four elephants in the park, three big and one small. The youngest elephant was only four years old and was very greedy. The audience could buy sugar cane to feed them. They used their long trunks to catch it and their shadows could not be seen. But they were also very smart and took on many performance tasks. In the end, the baby elephant used his trunk to paint a picture for live auction. However, I heard that the elephant trainer was very fierce when training the elephant. The elephant was whipped a lot in the process of learning performance skills, so it was so well-behaved.
It is a wise decision to visit Yunnan during the school term. There is no crowd and no high price. The travel experience is super good. Compared with other scenic spots in Yunnan, the ethnic village is more humanistic. If you like natural landscapes, this may not be your cup of tea. But the interaction of ethnic minority performances is quite interesting, and the actors are also serious. It is better than what I saw in Guilin before. It is a good place to take children to understand the customs of ethnic minorities. I didn't have a deep impression of the food there. The roast chicken that is popular among everyone is good, but the price of 100 is a bit expensive. The rice noodles are 10 yuan a bowl, which is still a conscience. The scenic spot is relatively large, and the car rental at the entrance is limited to two hours, which I think is unreasonable
First report: my feet are moving and my heart is feeling happy
What impressed me most in Yunnan Nationalities Village was the elephant show. It was the first time I saw real elephants, and the intelligence of elephants is indeed not exaggerated.
The ethnic village is still worth a visit. After buying the ticket, there are many free performances to watch. My daughter likes it very much. The ethnic village is a microcosm of many ethnic minorities. The buildings are very beautiful and especially suitable for taking pictures.
At first, I was a little afraid that this shortcut to understanding the customs of ethnic minorities would be too superficial and one-sided, but after thinking it over, I considered that the possibility of visiting ethnic minorities in the deep mountains of Yunnan one by one was too low, so after much hesitation, I finally came here.
The ethnic village is very large. Although it is only about the same size as Xiamen University, there are more than 20 ethnic minorities and there are so many things to see, so it is suitable to spend a whole day here. For example, we stayed there for 8 hours and 15 minutes...
Yunnan's ethnic minorities can be roughly divided into unique (main) and mixed ethnic groups. Mixed ethnic groups, such as Mongolians and Hui, are not very interesting and can be cleverly avoided. The unique ones are mostly arranged according to the location of the ethnic group's gathering place, such as the Bulang and Wa next to each other, the Jinuo and Lahu next to each other, such as the De'ang and Jingpo in Dehong, as well as the Bai, Naxi and Mosuo. The larger ethnic minorities will have their own area, such as the Dai and Yi.
If you don't ask for a tour guide, the scheduled free performances in each village are the essence, so the tour of the entire park can be planned according to the performance time. We watched five performances in one day, including the Hani, Wa (Brown Union), Yi, Mosuo, and Bai. I have to say that the Wa are really tough, the host of the Hani is very cute, the Yi girl is the most beautiful, and the Mosuo and Bai are a bit perfunctory.
When touring the villages or attending performances, you can hear melodious ethnic minority songs, which are very nice to listen to. Later, I could no longer search for these beautiful songs on NetEase Cloud Music.
What you can see in the ethnic village are, first of all, the residential buildings of various ethnic minorities and their living conditions, and secondly, some refined characteristics of each ethnic group, such as the Achang knives, the Bulang totems, the Lahu gourds, the Dulong tree houses, etc.
One of the great things about ethnic villages is that there are a lot of places to cool off (of course, when we went on Mondays when there weren't many people), and each village also sells food (although it's a bit expensive, everything seems to start at at least 10 yuan, but at least you can eat enough), so you can spend a day there without worrying about it, rest when you're tired, eat some bamboo rice, meat skewers, etc. when you're hungry, and the whole day will pass by in a flash. After a day, dragging your tired body, you will have some aesthetic fatigue of ethnic minority culture. This is good, you don't have to go through the trouble of trekking long distances into the mountains to look for ethnic minority culture, hahaha. So in terms of experience, it's still worth it.
Also, this place was built in 1992, which is hard to imagine. I can only say that it is well maintained. I guess the performers have been replaced by a new generation.
Let me tell you, you can get a discount with your student ID. There are various ethnic gardens with their own characteristics, and people of various ethnic groups wear their unique costumes to present wonderful performances. The scenery is different everywhere, and the fun is endless.
There is a lake on the side of the ethnic village. The water is clear and calm, and the beauty makes people calm. It was the Torch Festival, and ethnic minorities performed every day. The ethnic village was crowded with tourists, and the greenery was very good. The courtyards of 26 ethnic groups were located in different corners of the village. Even the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple had miniature versions. Walking around was also an understanding of the culture of China's ethnic minorities. There were singing and dancing performances in the courtyard from time to time. The dances of ethnic minorities were so unrestrained, the costumes were gorgeous, and the singing was loud.
Inside are various buildings built in imitation of the cultural characteristics of Yunnan's ethnic minorities. I counted about 30 ethnic groups. The courtyard is large and you can spend an afternoon strolling around. Overall, it is worth the price. The entrance to the ethnic village is a commercial street with antique buildings. There is also a small Three Saints Pagoda in the imitation area of the Bai people, but it looks far worse than the Chongsheng Temple in Dali.
Walking into the village, you will see ethnic villages of different styles scattered throughout, condensing the customs and architectural art of more than 20 ethnic minorities in Yunnan into this small village.
There is a group of lively and cute "elephants welcoming guests" on the grass at the entrance
After a tiring visit, there are many restaurants in the village. We ate at the Fenghuaxueyue Minjia Restaurant above. In fact, I don’t recommend eating in the National Cultural Village. Everyone knows the reason.
The ethnic village brings together the characteristics of all ethnic groups in Yunnan. It scales down the standard buildings in many places and has a variety of ethnic buildings. It is worth a visit. You can ride an electric car or hire a tour guide in the ethnic village. According to my experience, I feel that you can learn more by hiring a tour guide, otherwise you will not know their ethnic customs at all and can only take a quick look. BTW, we can also take a helicopter tour of the ethnic village-Dianchi line for 550 per person, about 7 minutes. Since I have never done it before, I was rich and tried it. It felt good
I went to Yunnan with my friends, and our first stop was Kunming, where we walked around and had a look around.
Entering from the main gate, you will see the "Old City of Kunming", which contains some shops and the Yunnan Folk Museum. After passing through these, you will reach the visitor center and then the main entrance of the attraction.
Yesterday, my family of four went to the National Village. We bought a ticket online for 80 yuan. People who had been there before said it was not fun and boring. I thought I had not been there for ten years since I came to Kunming, so I spent the money and went. There was really nothing fun. I didn’t see any programs for several hours. It was very boring. The ticket was not worth it. In the afternoon, I went directly to Haigeng Park and played for two hours! Those with children can go to Daguan Tower, Haigeng, Provincial Museum, Military Academy, and Zoo. They are all close!
I don't think there is anything to see in Yunnan Nationalities Village. Not far from Dianchi Lake, you will reach the Nationalities Village. The self-driving cars that come for tourism have filled the parking lot, and the tourists are even more bustling and lively. The adult ticket is 90 yuan, which does not include all activities, such as the stage. I hesitated again and again in front of the door, and thought that I would go in and take a look. Buy a ticket to enter the park. There are many signs of ethnic minorities along the way. You can go in and take a look. The place is not very big. You can understand the customs, folk customs, and folk customs of the ethnic minorities in Yunnan. But I don't know if those houses can be lived in, or are they specially built for tourists? I entered from the east gate and came out from the side door. I didn't look at it carefully all the way down. In addition, I was a little in a hurry, and the weather was not good. It rained from time to time. So I didn't linger too much. In addition to the local customs and customs, it is actually commercialized. Various stalls are lined up on both sides of the road, and all kinds of goods are available. This is also the trend of modern tourism, playing and shopping in one. I don't like the tune.
Yunnan Nationalities Village is located next to Dianchi Lake. If you have enough time, you can watch a performance. It is said that 52 ethnic minorities from all over the country live here, making it a veritable ethnic village.
There are 23 ethnic villages plus Mosuo people (Mosuo is not defined as a minority), and there are performances by various ethnic minorities from morning to afternoon. However, tickets for the elephant show and the call of the plateau are required separately. It will probably take a whole day to walk around and stop. In terms of public services, the prices are indeed very high.
We arrived at the ethnic village at noon. It is very big and we would be exhausted if we visited all of them, so we asked the tour guide to take us to visit the more classic ones, including the Dai, Bai, Naxi, Yi, and Laku ethnic groups. We learned a lot and gained a lot!
There are small villages made up of various ethnic minorities. I forgot how many there are, probably about 20. My wife and I rented a four-wheeled pedal car with a sun-proof canopy. Even so, we didn't finish visiting all of them. The one that impressed me most was the Achang people as soon as we entered the door, because we happened to catch up with the performance and ethnic introduction. The teeth of Achang women are beautiful because they are black. Every adult woman has to smear her teeth black with tobacco leaves to attract handsome men. I can only laugh at such aesthetics. However, the dances of ethnic minorities are worth seeing. This is their basic skill, just like working people in the city use computers. If a man can't dance or sing, he may not even find a wife. Then we visited the Mosuo people who live in a matriarchal society, tried Mongolian kumis and visited the Manchus, the largest ethnic minority in Northeast China. My "pure" Manchu daughter-in-law paid a good visit to her ancestors and finally came to the conclusion: it knows me, but I don't know it. In fact, all ethnic groups have been basically assimilated now. There is no so-called pure race, including the Han. Thousands and tens of thousands of years of wars, exiles and migrations have already integrated various ethnic groups through marriage. I was very pleased to see that several ethnic groups have their own unique writing systems passed down. Most ethnic groups have their own languages, but very few have their own writing systems that can be passed down.
Yunnan Nationalities Village is at the foot of Xishan Mountain and near Dianchi Lake. The ticket is 90 yuan. When I went in, I was still thinking whether to consider hiring a tour guide, 150 yuan for 3 hours. It is not very big. As for how many ethnic minorities there are, I don’t know in detail. Some ethnic groups are still uninhabited. I just look at the buildings and some customs. The ethnic tribes with people at home are quite enthusiastic and will communicate and interact with tourists. In fact, it is recommended to hire a tour guide. You can’t study anything by yourself, because if no one tells you about the interesting things, you don’t know.
What a crappy place. It is a disgrace to Yunnan, a major tourist province. The people there have very bad attitudes! They are impatient when asking for directions, and get angry if you ask more questions. When I asked what was grilled at the barbecue stalls in the ethnic village, the boss said impatiently that it was peanut chicken, and asked if I wanted to eat it! He was so embarrassed! As if someone owed him money. What the hell! I will never go to the ethnic village again.
In the ethnic village, students can get a 50% discount on tickets. When we passed the Nu people, there were many people gathered around eating. The anti-smoking counselor asked us to go over and eat plums dipped in chili peppers... Really, after eating it, I didn't dare to say that I was a Hunan girl, it was really spicy.
Passing a small bridge, grandma was embroidering a shawl, and a grandpa was listening to the radio next to her. The wind blew over the lake, gently and warmly.
The ticket price is 80 yuan. There is still a lot of atmosphere here, mainly showing the customs and architecture of various ethnic minorities in Yunnan. It is not far to take the bus.
Wild Goose Pagoda is probably one of the most impressive attractions. This different architectural style represents different meanings. Different beliefs make people feel awe. There are guides telling you about the past of various ethnic groups, just like traveling back to that era or being in it.
In the ethnic village, there are more characteristics of other ethnic groups, such as Tibetan, Hui, Mongolian, etc., which need to be experienced with heart. I walked for 3 hours, but did not finish the walk, probably because I kept stopping and walking, hahaha.
We looked at the program list and mainly watched the performances. We walked around outside for a while and felt that it was not interesting.
Here, I feel like all the ethnic groups in Yunnan seem to be there. Each ethnic group site has built its own houses and buildings, with ethnic minorities in fixed costumes displayed inside.
There’s really nothing to see in the Yunnan Nationalities Village, but the wild flowers on the roadside are very cute.
A bowl of glutinous rice wine costs 10 yuan. When drinking, the boys and girls from ethnic minorities will sing a toast song, which is very nice to hear, although I can't understand what they are singing.
I personally don't like the elephant riding program in the ethnic village. I also don't like the whale show in the Ocean Park. I always feel that it is very pitiful and saintly.
Yunnan Nationalities Village is located on the edge of Dianchi Lake. It is a place for tourists to see, with various performances and programs. But if you are someone who really wants to experience the customs of ethnic minorities, you may not find this feeling here.
The first time I went to the ethnic village was when I dared to attend the local Torch Festival! It was very lively! There were many ethnic minorities in it! It's worth a visit!
Apart from the elephant show, I haven't found anything else fun to do here. It's just a waste of time.
Yunnan Nationalities Village is 100 meters away from Haigeng Park.
Only about ten minutes' walk
This is the epitome of the folk customs of Yunnan
It is the most intuitive way to understand the entire Yunnan ethnic culture
For first-time friends
Why not come to Yunnan Nationalities Village?
It was already 4:30 when I arrived at the ethnic village
Checked the program schedule
Finally, there are only two ethnic customs performances left to watch.
Recommended to friends who come here
You can go to the National Village first, and then go to Haigeng Park
After all, performances don’t wait for anyone, but the seagulls are always there.

They are all indispensable pieces of the puzzle of Chinese culture.
The ethnic village is very large. You can hire a tour guide for 150/3 hours. In fact, the price is not high, but think about it. There are only two of us, so forget it and just walk around by yourself. Generally speaking, it is quite boring. Many ethnic displays do not have any form of explanation, whether it is a voice code scanning guide or a text explanation. The staff are also uninterested and very indifferent. They don’t want to deal with people at all... So is this to force people to hire a tour guide? Occasionally, the text explanations in a few places are clear, such as the Jingpo Munao Shidong. If every big and small point can be explained clearly, the experience will be much better. The ticket money for the ethnic village is mainly earned by watching the performance. The elephant show is quite exciting, but the time of each village is not well staggered, it is relatively close, and there is no way to perfectly connect, and the interval between the performances is relatively long. If you miss a performance in one period, you will almost miss the performances of all the villages, and you can only wait for several hours.
Yunnan Nationalities Village gathers the villages of more than 20 ethnic minorities in Yunnan, including Yi, Bai, Dai, Miao, Jingpo, Wa, Hani, Naxi, Lisu, Dulong, etc. Ethnic villages of different styles are scattered among them, showing their own charm, which is a microcosm of Yunnan's ethnic culture.
In the villages, in addition to learning about the architectural styles, ethnic costumes, and customs of the various ethnic groups in Yunnan, you can also watch laser fountains, water curtain movies, ethnic songs and dances, and elephant performances.
After that, we went to Guandu Ancient Town, where we could try all kinds of Yunnan delicacies. But it was already evening when we arrived at Guandu Ancient Town, so I found a hotel nearby. Dibei Chunman Special Resort Hotel is a theme-style hotel built with the cultural themes of mysterious Egypt, romantic France, and passionate Spain, which is a perfect exotic style.
The student ticket for the ethnic village is 45 yuan, and those with a tour guide card (must be an IC card) are free! The full ticket price is 90 yuan.
There are many ethnic villages there. If you want to see them in detail, you can choose to visit the more representative ethnic groups. We just had a general look, so we visited almost all the villages.
The best place to learn about more than 20 ethnic minorities in Yunnan at one time!!!
There are village buildings of various ethnic groups in the Yunnan Nationalities Village, which I think is worth seeing, but it basically takes a day. We did not choose to rent bicycles, but walked. Later we found that we could actually walk around the entire park in one day, but if you want to see small performances of various ethnic groups, you may not have enough time if you walk.
Some villages have performances, but depending on the time of the performance, it is not possible to watch the entire performance. We only watched the performances of the Wa and Jinuo ethnic groups. Therefore, it is recommended that you arrange your itinerary reasonably according to the performance time and the ethnic village map. There are tour buses and guides in the ethnic village (charged a certain fee), but we brought our baby and a stroller, so we chose to walk and play by ourselves, so that we would not rush and could play more in the places that the baby liked.
You can eat at the ethnic restaurant at noon, with buffet and a la carte options. The dishes are OK, with a combination of meat and vegetables. People in the tour group also eat there, so the dishes are quite complete.
The elephant performance area is very close to the ethnic restaurant. You can go to watch the elephant show after dinner. It starts at about 13:30. The elephants have come out half an hour before. You can buy bananas, sugar cane and other food to feed the elephants in the audience. You can take photos with the elephants. It costs 10 yuan or 20 yuan per person. I can't remember. Take photos with your mobile phone. But in fact, during the performance, the elephant trainer will invite the audience to participate in the interaction. At that time, you can take photos with the elephants for free.
In addition to introducing the cultures of various ethnic groups, the ethnic village also sells many small items, which are very beautiful.
Located next to Dianchi Lake, there are many tourists and the commercial atmosphere is too strong.
I remember when I first came to the National Village twelve years ago, there was no free scenic spot of Kunming Old Town at the entrance, and the ticket was only 40 yuan, which also included a free performance of "Highland Red Soil Love". The current ticket price of the National Village has risen to 90 yuan, and it is discounted to 72 yuan during the Spring Festival. The performance has been charged separately, which costs more than 100 yuan. You can buy a package ticket. Even though the ticket price has increased, I still think that the most fun place in Kunming is still the National Village. After all, it concentrates all the highlights of Yunnan. Since I have been to the National Village many times, the experience I have summarized is that I may not have enough time to watch all the performances in each village, so everyone decided not to watch the performance and just buy tickets.
The day I arrived was the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, and the day before was the Tibetan New Year, so I missed the Tibetan New Year program in the ethnic village. During the New Year, the program schedules of the villages were slightly adjusted. We searched for programs and found that the programs of the ethnic villages were not fixed. I could see the programs of some villages, such as the Wa village, every time, and they were almost the same every time; I only saw the performances of the Nu, Lisu, and Dulong peoples in the Nujiang Grand Canyon once, and I haven't seen them in recent times; and I saw the program of the Dai village 12 years ago, and there has been no performance since then.
It was already 3pm when we came out of the Naxi village, and we felt a little hungry. There were not many places to eat in the ethnic village, and the snacks in the garden were a bit expensive. However, during the Spring Festival, various stalls were set up next to the Lisu village next to the central square to form a long ethnic snack street. I asked about the prices roughly. Roasted chicken legs cost 10 yuan each, roasted tofu cost 10 yuan per portion, bamboo rice cost 10 yuan per stick, roasted chicken cost 60 to 80 yuan each, meat skewers cost 10 yuan for three skewers, potatoes cost 10 yuan per portion... There were also various ethnic snacks that I couldn't name, most of which cost 10 yuan per portion. We bought a bunch and found a seat in the Lisu village to gather together and start to fill our stomachs.
There is a bus to the National Village next to Haigeng Park, but you must buy a 90-yuan ticket to the National Village to get on the bus for free. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Haigeng Park to the National Village. There are tour guides wearing various ethnic costumes in the village, and the bus station of Kunming National Village is also very unique.
This place gathers more than 20 ethnic groups in Yunnan, showing the houses, clothing, folk customs, etc. of each ethnic group. In the courtyard, people dance happily and sing ancient songs. Different ethnic groups have their own characteristics, but they are warm and friendly.
A window that reflects and displays the social and cultural customs of Yunnan's 26 ethnic groups!
It's a great place with great ethnic characteristics and beautiful scenery. If you want to visit it carefully, it will take half a day. If you are afraid of being tired of walking, you can rent a car because it is really big.
It covers the characteristic villages and towns that reflect the customs of more than 20 ethnic minorities in Yunnan. Although it is man-made, it is a good place to understand the local culture and is worth a visit. The coconuts sold at the door for ten yuan each are very good.
The ethnic village is only one bus stop away from Dianchi Lake.
I am a Ningbo native. I came to Kunming to visit my Yunnan girlfriend. She took me to visit the ethnic village. The cable car is 50 yuan per round trip and 60 yuan per person. The tandem bicycle is 100 yuan for two hours with a lock. The helicopter is 650 yuan per person and takes about 4.5 minutes. It was the Water Splashing Festival in April. Overall, it is worth seeing. Remember to rent a car, otherwise it is very big inside and it will be very tiring to walk in the hot weather.
