I passed by Peacock Lake on my way to the ethnic handicraft market on Garan Middle Road. Within walking distance are Manting Park, the Tropical Flower Garden, and the adjacent state government building, popular recreational and leisurely spots for residents. Hundreds of people, mostly elderly, gather there daily, playing mahjong and poker on one side of the lake. On the other side is Mengle Avenue. Peacock Lake's waters are as clear as a mirror, shaded by tropical flowers and trees. It's dotted with Dai-style waterside pavilions, terraces, and towers. The lake's emerald waters are a delight for boating.

Located in the center of Jinghong City, it is a very relaxing park.

By Shanzhi'a |

Only when it’s time to feed do the peacocks fly down from the opposite mountain in large groups. After landing, they run back and forth with the breeder, which is quite spectacular.

By flatbread |

Located in the city, where citizens can play cards and chess. It's small, but there are no peacocks. I heard they moved away, so it's not suitable to come here specially.

By A big post from China-TravelNote users |

The person who posted the peacock picture is a liar. I went there for nothing today! It is a place where grandpas and grandmas relax, see the picture below.

By Pumbaa |

Can this be called a tourist attraction? It's just a street garden with square dancing.

By (「・ω・)「琴 |

The previous friend must have uploaded the wrong picture. It is really a place for the elderly to relax. There are no peacocks.

By Yunhesou |

There are no peacocks. It’s a lie to say there are peacocks!

By Baby Zebra |

It's quite interesting. You can watch the show while taking a rest. It's very nice to fly down from the mountain together.

By Tao Wenen |

Located in the heart of Jinghong City, the park boasts pavilions and waterside terraces, planted with exotic flowers. The lake is clear and shimmering, making paddling in it a truly relaxing and relaxing experience.

By Want freedom |

Peacock Park is not big and is an urban park for citizens to relax.

There is a promenade for citizens to play cards and have fun.

There are chessboard facilities, and many citizens spend their leisure time here.

By China-TravelNote users |

It's quite misleading. This photo is of the Forest Park, and Peacock Lake is just a small park in the city! I'm a local. If you want to know how to play, you can WeChat me at 15812160991

By Fu Shaowu |

There are no peacocks. When asked why it is called "Peacock Lake" because there are no peacocks, the answer is: "You are asking a dead end."

By Pithart |

Rubbish tourist attraction, rubbish tourist attraction, rubbish tourist attraction, I have to say this three times. People who uploaded the peacock photos, are you stupid? It's a tourist attraction, but you uploaded it nonsense, these rubbish people. It's a small puddle in the city, there are some goldfish, some wild fish, an old man sleeping in slippers, an old lady selling fish food for 2 yuan a bag, and a few broken boats parked there. Oh, those who uploaded the pictures are either agents or stupid! China-TravelNote didn't even check whether it is the same tourist attraction, and gave someone a gold medal review. Oh! People who uploaded the peacock photos are really stupid. It's a tourist attraction, there is not a single peacock, and they uploaded photos to mislead people who have never been there, wasting time.

Peacock Lake feels average, but the peacock flying is pretty good

By China-TravelNote users |

I feel that the peacock breeding is quite successful, and it is very obedient☺

By Hello, Reiko |

As the Dai keeper blew the whistle, the peacocks that were hiding in the woods to rest immediately flew to the lawn in groups. The scene was surprising!

By HLL |

This is so misleading... This is just a small park where old men and women play cards and relax. There is nothing here except a small lake.

Next to it is the People's Government. We drove in and asked the security guard where to park the car and how to get to Peacock Lake. He told us seriously to go in through the side door!

By Sonne |

So many peacocks! Peacocks fly southeast...

By ~free |

Peacock Lake is actually in Xishuangbanna Primitive Forest Park, at least these photos show the scenery there. The actual distance is at least 10 kilometers from Jinghong City. The 1.1 kilometers is a bit misleading.

By Please call me Mrs. Li |

There are regular performances, peacock releases, and feedings, but it is recommended not to buy clothes or anything like that inside, because they will be at least three times more expensive than outside.

#Peacock Lake#

It's just a park in Jinghong City

The name Peacock Lake does not mean there are peacocks

It is a good place for citizens to take a walk and cool off.

By People who love traveling |

Peacock Lake is right behind me, a beautiful spot. Located in the primeval forest scenic area, the peacock show is divided into time periods, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

By Click |

Peacock Lake is not big, and people come here to dance square dance at night, so I won’t take pictures. Let’s take a picture of the People’s Government beside Peacock Lake.

By dtuoluo |

I went there yesterday but didn't see any peacocks. I just saw a lot of old people playing cards and taking a walk.

By Return to Faith |

It is a lake with several cages of peacocks next to it for performances when they are released.

By Yaoyao Bird |

This is a scenic spot in the Wild Elephant Valley, where there is a peacock performance, Peacock Flies Southeast~

By Winnie |

If it is the Peacock Lake in Jinghong City, there is nothing to see, it is just a pond in the city. If it is the Peacock Lake in the Primeval Forest Park, it is worth watching the peacocks flying!

The place described in the article was not here at all. It was the peacocks in the primeval forest. We went there in the rain for nothing, wasting a precious morning.

By Bizarre |

It's spectacular to see so many peacocks flying down from the mountain

By xcccc |

It was the first time I saw so many peacocks, they were so densely packed.

By MIC |

Please note that the place to see peacocks is in the primeval forest park. The location of this attraction is no longer in use.

By @Kyrie@Irving@ |

Peacocks fly down in groups and circle down, which is very beautiful.

By The river is roaring |

Peacock Lake is located in the heart of Jinghong City, next to the Xishuangbanna Prefecture People's Government. Its waters are clear and emerald green, shaded by tropical flowers and trees. A peacock sculpture graces the lake's gate, and within the park are pavilions, a zoo, and flower gardens. Many years ago, the lake housed rare animals such as green peacocks, bears, and monkeys, along with over 300 species of exotic flowers and plants. Later, after the construction of the Xishuangbanna Primeval Forest, the green peacocks, bears, monkeys, and other rare animals were relocated from Peacock Lake. Today, Peacock Lake serves as a leisure and entertainment center, a popular destination for Jinghong residents and tourists.

I was staying at a hotel nearby and was completely bewildered when I went there. There were no peacocks there. It was just a very small park.

By Anti-US Resentment Banknotes |

Scam! Where do these good reviews on Mafeng come from? Can you be more reliable?

By Junko |

The most attractive thing is the peacock release. Many peacocks glide down the hillside, which is a spectacular sight. There are also folk song and dance performances. There is also a peacock experience (for a fee).

By China-TravelNote users |

When traveling, I always refer to China-TravelNote and believe it very much. However, I think this is the biggest scam I have ever experienced. We walked several kilometers to Peacock Lake, and we didn't see any birds, let alone peacocks. It's worse than the park in my hometown. It's completely an activity center for the elderly. My heart is hurt. I don't recommend going there

By Flower meets food |

I like Xishuangbanna, both the scenery and the food are very, very good.

By 1920 Art Museum |

The Peacock Lake in Jinghong City is now only the size of a fish pond, and there are no peacocks released. So many pictures should be taken of the peacocks released in the forest park.

By The Earl traveled around |

When hundreds of peacocks fly from the sky, I think of a word: Feng Lai Yi.

By Enjoy the city |

A must-see in the primeval forest. I accidentally sat in the perfect position and saw a peacock flying down. It was spectacular.

By amio00 |

This park is very interesting, you can go flying in the air

By I'm so uneasy, how can I be elegant? |

This is worth seeing. You have to take a good seat. Hundreds of peacocks flying down from the mountain are really beautiful.

By Mudong Mudong |

I found that all the photos of scenic spots are photos of forest parks.

By TW |

I was very disappointed to find a place where old people play chess and walk their birds.

By yuki |

A large group of peacocks running around, a rare sight

By The wind is rising |

There are no public transportation routes in Jinghong on the map, which is a bit...

By Miao Miao Miao Miao |

You can go and have a look. After all, it is difficult to see so many peacocks at once in other places. It is quite shocking to see them all fly out.

By Crazy Early |

Peacock Lake is just a park frequented by locals. There are only ornamental carp and nothing else, let alone peacocks.

By . |

It's just a lake. The peacocks you see in the comments are definitely not the ones you see at Peacock Lake. It's a very small park. It's full of old men and women playing cards. The smell of urine is everywhere. Please don't mislead everyone.

By Cath |

Many peacocks flew down from the mountain at once. When the audience left the venue, they could have a close contact with one or two peacocks running around. It was fun haha

By Daily Tour |

It’s actually a zoo + water park.

By Snow and Flowers |

There were so many peacocks there. I don’t remember what time it was, but a large group of peacocks flew from the mountain over the lake.

By Yunye Pastoral |

There were black swans swimming on the lake. When the staff's whistle sounded on the lakeshore, hundreds of peacocks flew over the water from the nearby woods and gathered on the grassy slopes on the shore. It was quite spectacular!

By Phoenix tail feathers |

The peacock's feathers were almost gone, but it was my first time seeing a peacock flying, and I was very surprised.

By Carrian |

The peacocks were released and flew down from the mountain, it was very beautiful.

By China-TravelNote user 91798838 |

I wonder what era China-TravelNote's explanation of this Peacock Lake is from? You're here to see peacocks? It's a scam, purely an entertainment center for the elderly. Where are the peacocks released?

By FLH Dayao |

It's very beautiful, with many peacocks. I found that peacocks like people who are flashy and want to be flattered when they see them~~~ Peacocks are really scheming~~~

By ¨_The concubine smiled; |

It's the place where Jia Nailiang and the others went in the movie "Dad is Back". Many peacock feathers are missing, which is really pitiful.

By jasonfok |

This place is more beautiful than the Wild Elephant Valley. It was the first time I saw peacocks flying, and a large group of them. It was really spectacular. The scenic area is very large. I suggest you spend an afternoon visiting it, and it is best to take an electric car.

By Mumu |

Peacock Lake is still there, but the peacocks have moved away.

By dry skiing |

I was planning a trip there and stumbled upon it. It was a delight. The scenery was beautiful. It was a great place to relax.

By Poria cocos |

From a distance, there are many peacocks, some of which are being cared for by people.

By Windtalkers |

Peacock Lake, a nice name. It was worth the trip after I went there. Surrounded by the tropical rainforest, a wave of turquoise lake water is embedded in that touch of green. Every day, the staff will regularly open the bamboo cages on the mountain, and flocks of peacocks will swoop down from the mountain and land on the lawn by the lake. The scene is very spectacular. Several staff members dressed as ancient fairies carry bamboo baskets to feed the peacocks. Several small boats float in the lake. Against the background of music, ancient scholars and fairies dance on the boats, telling of the pain of lovesickness. The fountain spurts out slowly with the music just right. People, emotions and scenery form a beautiful and moving picture.

By Ace of Spades |

Every day there will be a fixed peacock flying from the foot of the mountain to the lakeside performance, it is very spectacular

By film |

There are indeed a lot of peacocks, but many of them have lost a lot of feathers in their tails, which greatly reduces their beauty. It is really spectacular when the peacocks are released, and there are also performances by the Shui Dai people. The only flaw is the peacock feathers, haha

By Pisces girl |

Beautiful place, colorful, like spring

By Cai Cai |

The No. 11 bus drove for a long time, but I didn’t see a single peacock. I felt a little helpless.

By Bubbles |

It’s the first time I’ve seen so many peacocks flying around. It’s so beautiful.

This picture is wrong. There are no peacocks in this lake.

The scene of seeing peacocks flying is spectacular, and there are places to rest and eat to watch the peacocks.
