Feilai Temple is located on the Yunnan-Tibet Highway about 10 kilometers away from Deqin County, facing Kawagebo, the main peak of Meili Snow Mountain. It is an excellent place to photograph the "Golden Mountain in the Sunlight".
Due to its special geographical location, this place has become a tourist gathering place beside the Yunnan-Tibet line, with inns and restaurants. In fact, there is really a very small temple here, usually accompanied by only a lama, a cat and a big rooster.
Feilaisi Village has the high-end Viewing Paradise Hotel and the Juese Dianxiang Youth Hostel suitable for backpackers, which are suitable for different types of travelers.
From Feilai Temple, drive along National Highway 214 for about 10 minutes to reach the Feilai Temple Observation Deck on the left side of the road. However, you don’t have to go to the observation deck to take photos of the “Sunshine Golden Mountain”; you can also take photos at other places along the national highway.

Feilai Temple is a temple located along the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, 8 kilometers from Deqin County, Yunnan Province. It was first built in 1614 and has a history of more than 400 years. Although Feilai Temple has buildings of different heights, and the halls and houses are coordinated, along the way there are dense ancient pines, mottled shadows of the sun, winding streams, and low pine waves, and the couplet at the gate of the mountain "the ancient temple has no lights but relies on the moon to illuminate, the gate is not locked but the temple is sealed by clouds" is very imaginative, but as a temple itself, there is nothing very special about it. However, because it is located opposite the main peak of Meili Snow Mountain, it is the best place to watch and photograph Meili Snow Mountain (especially sunrise and sunset), so it is very famous in the outdoor and photography circles, and has become a must-visit place for anyone who comes to Meili Snow Mountain.
Feilai Temple is the best place to view Meili Snow Mountain. It is said that there was no entrance fee in the past, but now it is market-oriented. It costs 40 yuan per person to see the sunrise in the golden mountain early in the morning. I was short of money and took photos directly on the roof of the hotel, and did not go to Feilai Temple to view the scenery. Afterwards, I felt it was a bit of a pity. After all, there were more obstructions on the roof of the hotel, and the experience was not good. I didn't take satisfactory photos. What a pity!
When I woke up, I found that there was too much fog today and I couldn't see the Golden Mountain in the Rise of the Meili Snow Mountain. It's normal not to see it. After all, the Golden Mountain in the Rise of the Rise of the Rise of the Meili Snow Mountain only appears for more than one month a year. If you can see it, it's fate and luck. If you can't see it, it's normal. There's no need to regret or worry about it.
Maybe God just wants to leave some regrets in this perfect trip for us!
Here is a photo of the golden mountain in the sun, which was provided to me by the innkeeper!
90% of the people who come to see Rizhao Jinshan will choose to stay at Feilai Temple. Feilai Temple is not just a temple, but a small town with accommodation and catering developed around the temple. If the weather is good, you can see the most beautiful view of Meili Snow Mountain Rizhao Jinshan here.
Feilai Temple is the best place in Deqin area to view the Thirteen Peaks of Meili. It can be regarded as a must-visit spot for domestic and foreign tourists to watch the sunrise. Therefore, there are many restaurants and accommodations on site, which is very lively, and it is not at all like the isolated temple on the cliff that I imagined from the name.
Shanshan and I traveled thousands of miles to come here, so of course we had to arrange a room with a view like the one on Xiaohongshu! So we happily booked a popular room that is said to allow you to lie on the bed and watch the snow-capped mountains! When we arrived at the hotel, it was as good as its reputation, and you can indeed lie on the bed and watch the view. But the problem is. The snow-capped mountains are covered by clouds! My heart aches... Forget it, watching the clouds is okay.
Feilai Temple has a place among the hotly contested scenic spots in Yunnan, and it does have its advantages. Even if you can't see the snow-capped mountains from this place, you can still see the clouds. The clouds are thick and large, gathering from the east along the direction of the snow-capped mountains, reflecting the sunset and the blue sky, as if a bird has flown into the forest. Sitting on the balcony in a daze, it is a live performance of "walking to the end of the water, sitting and watching the clouds rise". I want to go to Nepal to see the snow-capped mountains again...
Feilai Temple is located along the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, 8 kilometers from Deqin County. It was first built in the 42nd year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1614 AD), and has a history of nearly 390 years. Feilai Temple covers an area of 1,500 square meters and is built step by step along the terrain of Zhengyi Mountain. Along the way, there are rows of ancient pines, mottled shadows of the sun, winding streams, and low pine waves.
The construction and naming of the temple has a legendary story: when the temple was built, it was originally planned to be located two kilometers away from the current site. All the materials were ready, but on the night before the groundbreaking ceremony, the main building materials such as pillars and beams disappeared. The abbot sent people to track them down. When they found the current site, they found that the pillars and beams had been erected according to the specifications, and there were no rear beams and columns of the main hall. People thought it was God's will, so they built the temple at the current site in accordance with God's will, and named it "Fei Lai Temple" because the pillars and beams flew away.
No tickets, free
Feilaisi Town is named after Feilaisi Temple. This temple with the characteristics of Yellow Sect was first built in the 42nd year of Wanli in the early Qing Dynasty (1614 AD), with a history of nearly 390 years. The current temple was rebuilt during the Nationalist period. Feilaisi Temple is 3,439 meters above sea level. It is a civil Tibetan-style building with the characteristics of folk Buddhist temples, primitive religions and nature worship. In 2003, Feilaisi Temple became a cultural relic protection unit in Yunnan Province. People go to Feilaisi Temple mainly to see Meili Snow Mountain, but Feilaisi Temple is ignored by most people.
Feilai Temple is the most important transit supply station for hiking in Yubeng. It is also the most suitable place to travel with friends. If you are lucky, you can see the Golden Mountain in the morning. The accommodation conditions are average and the food is expensive, but I understand. I hope it will not be occupied by tour groups in the future...
Stayed in Feilai Temple for one night, tried the local chicken soup, and was lucky enough to see the golden mountain in the sun the next morning. It was amazing!
You can also watch it from the paid observation deck on the roadside and nearby hotels.
Feilai Temple is a temple located along the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, 8 kilometers from Deqin County, Yunnan Province. It was first built in 1614 AD and has a history of nearly 390 years. It is the best place to view Meili Snow Mountain.
Feilai Temple, also known as the Auspicious Feilai Temple, was first built in the 42nd year of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It was named because "the pillars and beams flew up from the sky" during construction. It now consists of the Descendants Hall, Guansheng Hall, Haichao Hall, two wings, two ears, and four side halls. It is one of the best places to view and photograph the wonders of Rizhao Jinshan.
The best viewing platform of Meili Thirteen Peaks. Whether you can see it depends on your luck.
Feilai Temple is a place to view Meili Snow Mountain and a place for Tibetan people to worship the sacred mountain. Every morning, Tibetans burn incense, kneel down and pray around the white pagoda.
Ten years ago, I watched Sunshine over Golden Mountain at Feilai Temple. I was lucky enough to arrive at 10pm, sleep until 5am and get up to watch it. There was a retired couple who went out to watch it with me that day. They said they had lived there for a week and only saw it that day. Finally, they could go back. . . .
The best place to see Meili Snow Mountain, the scenery is unique and worth going
Feilai Temple is very small. There is an observation deck in the Feilai Temple area. A wall several dozen meters long was built on the roadside. The wall is called the observation deck. In fact, the mountain is there. You can see the same thing whether you buy a ticket or not. There is an 8-kilometer road next to the observation deck. If you want to hike, you must buy a ticket to enter. You are also allowed to drive in without additional charge.
There is no need to spend money to go to the observation deck. It is enough to choose a good hotel rooftop platform to view the view. When the sun rises and shines on the snow-capped mountains, it is still quite shocking~
The Feilai Temple Observation Deck looks like a small square in our hotel, so its geographical location and hardware facilities are impeccable.
I was unlucky because there were a lot of clouds in the morning and I missed the sunrise over Jinshan Mountain. It was a pity. But next time if I come in spring, it will be super beautiful! I will definitely come again.
When we arrived at Feilai Temple, the sky was covered with thick clouds. When we were ready, we found that the clouds gradually dissipated, and the main peak of Taizi Snow Mountain, Kawagebo Peak, had revealed its shy face. The scenery here is unique, but the ultraviolet rays are lethal!
The closest tourist hub to Meili Snow Mountain, the starting point of the Meili Circumambulation, now has a strong commercial flavor
Meili is shrouded in mist today. I pray that the sacred mountain can show its true face.
If you are not going to the Golden Mountain in Rizhao in Meili Snow Mountain, then there is really no reason to stay in Feilai Temple. However, it is usually a stop before entering Yubeng. The Golden Mountain in Rizhao really depends on luck.
It was a godly experience. I went there with a pious heart and saw the golden peak in the sun - Kawagebo Peak, which is the hardest to see in the rainy season. Thank God!
Due to the special geographical location of Feilai Temple, a huge "Feila Temple (Meili Snow Mountain) Observation Deck" was suspended in the air beside the national highway. If you are lucky enough, you can look up at the panoramic view of "Meili Snow Mountain" from the observation deck without any blind spots, which attracts many people to come here.
As tourism becomes more and more popular every year, a large number of hotels, inns and restaurants have appeared on both sides of the viewing platform along the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, forming a large "village" and a very important tourist destination and tourist gathering place. Gradually, people have begun to habitually call this place "Feilaishi".
Feilai Temple has hotels, inns and youth hostels of various grades, suitable for travelers with different needs.
The road was being repaired at the Feilai Temple Observation Deck, so it was a mess and I couldn't take a photo of the towers from the front, so I had to take a photo from the side. From the observation deck, you can enjoy the peaks of Meili Snow Mountain up close, but because of the thick clouds, the snow mountain was blocked and nothing could be seen. There is no way, the sacred mountain will not easily show its true appearance in front of the world, otherwise it will not be sacred, or our fate has not arrived yet.
The observation deck is not open 24 hours a day. Someone will come to open the door about ten minutes before sunrise. So you don't have to get up too early. You still need a ticket. Although you can enter and exit as many times as you want, it's best to bring it with you to prevent ticket inspection.
The best view of Meili Snow Mountain and Taizi Thirteen Peaks. It was a little rainy that day. There were layers of white clouds. It felt like I was in the clouds. I really felt Shangri-La, the place closest to the sky. A kind of awe for nature arose spontaneously.
More photographers come here to watch the golden mountain in the sun. Of course, this kind of scene is rare. The best time is from November to May.
Because of the increase in clouds, we are more eager to watch the Meili Snow Mountain. Watching the peaks and glaciers looming in and out, the villages in the distance are sometimes covered and sometimes fully revealed. There is a kind of beauty that needs to be watched.
The mountain is there. The mountain does not move, but people keep coming. In addition to Tibetan pilgrims, there are also many people who come here to pay tribute to the victims and take this opportunity to come here to visit.
The ticket to Feilai Temple Observation Deck is 60 yuan, valid for three days, which is a bit of a rip-off. It is just an observation deck. Although it is located in the front row of the entire Feilai Temple area and the view is unobstructed, it is not open until 8 o'clock in the morning, so it is completely impossible to take pictures of the starry sky and the sunrise at Jinshan here...
The hotel I booked was Feilai Temple Pearl Hotel, which is located near the Feilai Temple Observation Deck and directly opposite the Meili Snow Mountain. The view from the room is great. You can lie on the bed and enjoy the sunrise over the Golden Mountain. There is also a viewing platform on the fifth floor roof for easy filming, which is like living directly on the camera. Each room has independent 10M fiber optic WIFI, 24-hour hot water, floor heating, and its own restaurant. The price is also affordable~
The best location to view the 13 peaks of Meili~~~It is really shocking to see the golden mountain in the sun!!
Most of the inns near Feilai Temple have rooms with views. I got up early at 6 o'clock. It was pitch black outside the window. There were still thick clouds and fog in front of me. Several huge figures were looming in the clouds... At about 7:50, the golden Kawagebo Peak broke out of the clouds, and it was changing every second.
When I watched the "Sunshine Golden Mountain" at Feilai Temple, I felt that the sun was really a spotlight. I used to think that the snow-capped mountains in the miniature landscape were fake, and the light and smoke were so unreal. After watching the "Sunshine Golden Mountain", I realized that only a giant cosmic spotlight like the sun can shine light directly on such a huge figure, which is so fantastic, mysterious and shocking. The Feilai Temple Observation Deck faces the Thirteen Peaks of Meili. It is said that the best position to see the main peak, Kawagebo, is a little further forward. You don't need to buy a ticket to enter the observation deck, you can just stand on the roadside to see it. But you can go to the observation deck and hang prayer flags facing the main peak of Kawagebo. The smell of incense around, the sound of lamas chanting, and the fusion of religion and the sacred mountain can make you feel the sacred and mysterious beauty.
Religious beliefs and the mystery of Meili Snow Mountain complement each other, sacred beauty! Must recommend!
Feilai Temple is one of the best places to see the most beautiful "Golden Mountain in the Sunlight" of Meili Snow Mountain, the Thirteen Welcoming Towers. You need to buy a ticket to enter, 60 yuan per person, valid for 3 days. When you go, remember to bring your student ID or military officer ID, tour guide ID, etc. to get a 50% discount or exemption. The Thirteen Welcoming Towers are divided into two floors and are well built. Golden Mountain in the Sunlight is really beautiful. I saw it for the first time when I went there. I was super lucky because it snowed in two days. The photos are far less shocking than what you see in person. This is true for any beautiful scenery, so I fell in love with traveling and wanted to know how amazing the scenery in the pictures would be.
The ticket to Feilai Temple is 60 yuan. There is no discount for tour guide certificates. Students must be under 24 years old. The main purpose of this place is to see the Rizhao Golden Mountain, so it is a bit expensive. The Rizhao Golden Mountain can be seen from the nearby national highway and the roof of the hotel, but the view is different. There is a mountain valley in front of the Feilai Temple viewing platform, and the snow mountain on the other side
Good, great weather, very lucky!!
There is a 3-day tour from Lijiang to Meili Snow Mountain, which is very cost-effective. I booked it on China-TravelNote for about 900 yuan.
The scenery is picturesque. Transportation is inconvenient. Stay in a hotel with a good location and you don’t have to pay to enter the Feilai Temple Observation Deck.
Feilai Temple is a very famous place in Deqin, where many inns are located. It takes an hour to get to Feilai Temple from Deqin.
Because the observation deck requires tickets, we did not go in
It belongs to the Meili Snow Mountain Scenic Area and is an important hub for entering Meili Snow Mountain or Yubeng. At Feilai Temple, you can watch the golden mountain at sunrise or sunset. The town sells trekking poles, yak jerky, and many local chicken hot pot restaurants. The taste is great, providing nourishment for the stomach and soul.
Feilai Temple has a history of nearly 400 years. It is located on the side of National Highway 214. You can walk along an inconspicuous archway on the roadside to reach Feilai Temple.
Feilai Temple is a good place to view the Meili Snow Mountain. Here you can see the true appearance of Meili Snow Mountain, beautiful and quiet. The consumption in this town is relatively high. Breakfast costs 5 yuan per bowl. There is a scenic spot in Feilai Temple that you can enter. The ticket is 60 yuan per ticket, which is quite expensive. You can enter or not.
Feilai Temple is an observation deck, from which it is best to view the Meili Snow Mountain. If the weather is good, you can see the golden mountain in the sun.
The best location and rest area to view Meili Snow Mountain.
Feilai Temple is not big! But the location where it was built is perfect! You can have a panoramic view of the nearby scenery from this location of Feilai Temple!
One of the viewing points of Rizhao Jinshan, opposite is Meili Snow Mountain, the scene of watching the sunrise is very stunning
I personally think it's not bad, the scenery is beautiful! Although I can't see the whole of Rizhao Jinshan.
Feilai Temple is located in Deqin County, Yunnan Province, along the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, 8 kilometers from Deqin County. Its Tibetan name is "Nakazaxi", 1 km from Feilai Temple Observation Deck (where tourists live) and 8 km from Deqin City. "Nakazaxi" means "Nine Gods of the Vajra". It is said that a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha once flew here from Tibet, so a temple was built here and named "Feila Temple".
The main purpose of coming here is not to see the temple, but to see the Meili Snow Mountain and the Golden Summit!
I personally think this is a place that you don't need to spend money to see, because the best place to see Kawagebo is a little further ahead. I recommend a location. The Watch 6740 Inn is in front of Kawagebo, where you can see the most beautiful scenery. You can just stand on the roadside and watch. You can see the most beautiful scenery without tickets.
fly

It is said that you can see the full sun shining on Jinshan Mountain on both days, but the main peak was blocked by clouds on the day I stayed there. It was a pity, but it was still beautiful enough.
The viewing platform has an excellent view of the snow-capped peaks of Meili, but it is blocked by a wall and you need to buy a ticket to enter.
Before going to Yubeng for hiking, I stayed at Feilai Temple for one night and saw the rare fire clouds at sunset. After the hike, I stayed there for another night and saw the golden mountain in the morning.
Remember, don't spend 60 yuan to buy tickets to the Feilai Temple Observation Deck, because there are a row of hotels and inns at the entrance, and any of them can enjoy the view, and the location is more correct.
A great place to view Kawagebo, but it depends on your character and luck
Feilai Temple is a place name, not a real temple. If you come to Feilai Temple, you mainly want to see the sunset of Meili Snow Mountain and the scenery of Rizhao Jinshan. So you can't leave from Shangri-La to Feilai Temple too late. If you want to watch the sunrise at the incense burning platform of Feilai Temple, it is recommended to buy tickets one day in advance, and you can stay in a cheap non-view room nearby.
You can see the Meili Snow Mountain and Kawagebo Peak up close, and you can also see the Meili Snow Mountain in the sun.
Feilai Temple is a good place to view the Thirteen Peaks of Meili. You have to choose the right season and weather.
The best place to view the Meili Snow Mountain. You can even see it from your bed in the inn. Of course, it will be more interesting if you go with a group of friends!
The Feilai Temple I'm referring to is just a temple. It was under construction when I went there, and there were no snow-capped mountains to be seen from its location, so it didn't seem to be of much significance.
Before setting off, you should visit Deqin Feilai Temple. Feilai Temple in a narrow sense refers to a small temple at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain. It is really very small. It seems that there is only one lama guarding it. You can go there to light a few butter lamps. Feilai Temple in a broad sense refers to the entire area nearby, including the Feilai Temple Observation Deck, which now charges a fee, and an accommodation area built around the Observation Deck and the highway.
Feilai Temple was closed before 5:00 pm. Feilai Temple is very small. We looked around the periphery and felt that there was nothing to see.
Feilai Temple is located in Deqin County, a key county in Yunnan Province. It is the best place to view the beautiful Meili Snow Mountain.
Feilai Temple is a small temple, mainly for viewing the Meili Snow Mountain.
Meili Snow Mountain, the graceful goddess in dreams, the highest peak in Yunnan!
It is very close to Shangri-La County, and the viewing platform has a good view
The location is good, facing the main peak of Meili, and the scenery is great.
Located along the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, 8 kilometers from Deqin County, it was first built in the 42nd year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1614 AD), and has a history of nearly 390 years.
The best season for traveling is winter and spring from January to May, characterized by dense rows of ancient pines, mottled shadows of the sun, and winding streams.
Feilai Temple is actually like a small village. If you want to come to Yubeng and Meili, you must go to Feilai. Meili is also very beautiful at night.
People come here to see the Golden Mountain in the Rise or to enter Tibet. The place is small, so you can't be too demanding on accommodation and food. If you are lucky and the weather is good, you can see the Golden Mountain in the Rise. The Meili Snow Mountain is really shocking. I'm just unlucky. You can also pick up people to hike to Yubeng here...
The best place to enjoy the sunrise over Jinshan Mountain is Feilai Temple.
We arrived at Feilai Temple at night, but we didn’t go to see the temple. We just found a "hot pot chicken" restaurant nearby to eat and stay. Isn’t that a bit disrespectful? SORRY
It feels very comfortable to see the snow-capped mountains at Feilai Temple. The cool breeze from the snow-capped mountains mixed with the sunshine is comfortable and peaceful. . . .
Located in Diqing, very close to Meili Snow Mountain, it is the best place to view the snow-capped mountains.

Feilai Temple is a temple located along the Yunnan-Tibet Highway, 8 kilometers away from Deqin County, Yunnan Province. It was originally built in the 42nd year of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1614 AD) and has a history of nearly 390 years.
The buildings of Feilai Temple are staggered, and the halls and houses echo each other. The whole temple consists of the Zisun Hall, Guansheng Hall, Haichao Hall, two wings, two ears, and four side halls. The whole temple consists of the Zisun Hall, Guansheng Hall, Haichao Hall, two wings, two ears, and four side halls. The arrangement in the temple has the characteristics of the integration of three religions. The most amazing thing is the architectural sculpture art of the Haichao Hall, the main building of Feilai Temple. The main hall is a single-eaved hanging mountain top, a seven-tan raised beam structure, and a width of three rooms. The whole beam and beam frame are regular, and are made of larger garden wood. The eaves are simple and sparse, and the eaves columns stand on a huge Xumi pedestal column base. The waist of the seat is engraved with relief patterns of figures, flowers and other decorations. The wood carvings under the eaves are soft and beautiful, quiet and unique. The lattice fans in front of the hall are complete, the lattice flower patterns are exquisite, and the carvings are skillful and refined.
Entering the main hall, one will be dazzled by the sight. The main hall was carved into a plane according to the mountain, and with the help of the mountain, it still remains solid and magnificent. The craftsmen carved out the main sculpture of the Haichao Hall on the rock - the picture of the Haichao Dragon King sending his daughter to marry. On the left side of the picture are sculptures of the Eighteen Arhats with different expressions, and on the right side are sculptures of the characters and stories of "Journey to the West", all of which are exquisite and lifelike.
At the Feilai Temple, the Kawagebo Snow Mountain rushes into view, so majestic that one can't help but worship it.
