The Parashorea chinensis scenic area is the core of the tropical rainforest in Xishuangbanna. The Parashorea chinensis trees in the scenic area are usually 40-60 meters high, with the highest reaching 80 meters. The package we bought allows you to experience the rainforest from all directions, including water, land, and air. The most famous skywalk in the scenic area is a 34-meter-high suspension bridge built with steel cables and nylon ropes using the trunks of dozens of Parashorea chinensis trees. It is worth experiencing. Buttress roots, stranglers, parasitic epiphytes, dripping leaf tips, and old stems in love can be seen everywhere.

The suspension bridge on the treetops is so exciting to walk on. You must go there.

If you want to go to the Wangtianshu Scenic Area, the scenery in the East District is almost the same, so you can just take a quick look. The main reason is that the East District is very large, and I am afraid that everyone will not be able to keep up with the physical strength to play in both the East and West Districts. It is recommended that the scenic area add more road signs. We walked around for a few times before finding the transfer point for the tour bus. In summary, it is huge, beautiful, beautiful, and if you want to visit both areas, it will definitely take a day.

It takes about one hour to drive from Mohan to the Wangtianshu Scenic Area. The road condition is good. You will see many banana groves along the way. There are rows of bagged bananas, which should be sold all over the country!



There are two parking lots in the scenic area, not far from the ticket hall. There is a policy for Yunnan scenic spot tickets. During the Spring Festival, May Day and other holidays, the ticket price is 20% lower than on weekdays. If you take a boat from the Visitor Center, you will go from Bubang Wharf to Yulin Wharf. The ticket gate is 200 meters ahead of the exit.

There are many straight and tall trees in the scenic area. You need to look up to see the top of the tree. Tourists around humorously said that it can treat cervical spondylosis.

We arrived at the gate of Wangtianshu Scenic Area at about 11 o'clock. There were not many people, which was acceptable. We lined up to get on the boat and tour the lake view along the way. Many aunts and sisters were taking pictures. I was bored watching because it was really a very ordinary view. It took about 20 minutes to reach the shore and enter the gate of the scenic area. As soon as we entered the gate, there was a golden statue of Sakyamuni. On both sides were tall and thin betel nut trees. The tour guide said that the old custom of the Dai people was that if a man wanted to marry a Dai girl, he would either go to the girl's house to work for three years on a voluntary basis, or climb up this tall betel nut tree to pick a betel nut. The interesting thing is that someone in the team really climbed two meters, but of course he failed in the end! Here is an interlude. I talked to a taxi driver before, saying that Dai girls are okay in dating now, but they are not good at managing the family. They love to play too much and ignore their families. They are all very rich in the local area, and they share houses and money. They are also protected by the country's special ethnic group, the Dai people, but they are not as simple as we imagined!

We booked a one-day tour to the Wangtian Tree for individual travelers on China-TravelNote on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. This is a pure play tour, which is really good, without any shopping! Although the process is compact, it can't be compared with a self-driving tour after all. In order to avoid traffic jams, we set off at 6:30 in the morning at the Banna Water Splashing Square, which is a bit too early, especially for those with children. We couldn't have breakfast. It was still dark at 6:30 in the evening when Banna was bright. I wanted to eat some snacks in the car, but I didn't expect the tour guide to say that we were not allowed to eat anything in the car. The tour guide was a beautiful woman. Later, she saw that we brought children and allowed us to eat something without too strong taste. We stopped once on the way.

We were the first wave of tourists to go up to the Wangtian Tree without queuing. It was worth the trip. We returned to the Banna Water Splashing Square at around 4pm. The only drawback was that there was no food and beverage. There seemed to be no place to eat at the Wangtian Tree either, so we were basically hungry at noon. In short, a pure tour without shopping is good.

Friends who like tropical rainforests must not miss this attraction. Because on the way to Laos, it is recommended to rent a car from Jinghong for self-driving. There are few large cars on the road, and the turns on the winding mountain road are not very sharp, so driving is still very comfortable. There are farmhouses around the scenic area, which are very convenient for accommodation and dining. This attraction can be played for about four hours. It is recommended to drive to Laos the next day.

The most beautiful thing about the Wangtianshu Scenic Area is the skywalk, which is thrilling without any danger. Then there is a small path through the rainforest, which is worth walking. Inside, you can see the common strangulation phenomenon in the rainforest, which is amazing. After visiting here, there is no need to go to the Tropical Rainforest Park.

The Wangtianshu Scenic Area is located in the Buwa National Nature Reserve in the northeast of Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, covering an area of ​​20 hectares and 14 kilometers away from the county seat.

After breakfast, we set off for the Wangtianshu Scenic Area at 9 o'clock. It took more than ten minutes to reach the ticket office of the scenic area, where free parking is available. The listed price of the scenic area is 75￥/ticket, 40￥/ticket for a one-way cruise on the Nanla River, 120￥/ticket for the sky corridor, and 198￥/ticket for a package ticket. You can drive directly to the gate of the scenic area, only the discounted ticket, and the sky corridor is 120 yuan, not a penny less, which is not cost-effective. I got a package ticket from TB for 150 yuan per person, which is not bad. First take a boat at the ticket office, and the boat will start when it is full. There are only three of us, so we had to wait for 15 minutes to start the boat. Ten minutes of travel, the broadcast just finished introducing the scenic area. The Flower Avenue we walked first, was guarding and selling photos, and we continued to ignore it.

The Parashorea chinensis is one of the unique tree species in Xishuangbanna Prefecture. It is only distributed in Buwa and Jingpiao in Mengla County in the prefecture. The Parashorea chinensis belongs to the Dipterocarpaceae family and is an evergreen tall tree. Because it grows straight and upright, up to 70 or 80 meters high, piercing the blue sky like a sword, it is known as the "Giant in the Forest" and the "Prince of Beauty in the Forest". The skywalk is built in the Parashorea chinensis forest area and is a project invested and constructed from foreign capital. The corridor is 2.5 kilometers long and is tied directly to the big tree with steel ropes and chains. The corridor is paved with wooden planks and protected by ropes around it. It is more than 20 meters high. Visitors can also overlook the green sea of ​​the nature reserve when walking on it. This wonderful enjoyment can only be appreciated when you are on the skywalk. You can only choose between the skywalk and the glass corridor. We chose the skywalk, which is another routine of selling photos.

I entered the scenic area at 10 o'clock, walked through it in an hour and a half, and waited for 15 minutes for the free bus to the ticket parking lot. I returned after 12 o'clock and arrived in Jinghong City at around 15 o'clock.

A scenic spot that is not large in area but relatively rich in content. The scenery of the Nanla River cruise is very beautiful. The parashorea chinensis on the surrounding mountains are tall and pierce the blue sky, giving us a sense of mystery as if we are about to walk into the treetop corridor; walking between the ten-story parashorea chinensis trees and looking down through the suspension bridge in the air under our feet, even I, who have always been brave, felt a little dizzy; strolling in the two-kilometer primeval forest, some classic tropical rainforest animals and plants came into view, which was also a warm-up for our subsequent trip to the Menglun Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

It was amazing to see so many 80m tall trees! It was great to walk up there!

It is recommended to stay in Mengla the night before, and you can reach there in half an hour by car in the morning. This is mainly to avoid the peak tourists coming from Jinghong.

The most fun thing about the Wang Tian Shu is the Sky Walkway, which is quite exciting. It is built on the Wang Tian Shu. If you are brave enough, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery in the park from the Sky Walkway. There are also people who take photos for you. You can choose whether to do it or not. It is quite fun.

I think it is similar to the Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, but there are tall parashorea chinensis trees here, and it is quite interesting to walk in the sky corridor. Older people may be a little scared, but it is actually very safe.

China has become one of the countries with the most complete forest types in the world. The most attractive thing about the Wangtianshu Scenic Area for sightseeing is its canopy corridor that is dozens of meters high. Looking at the corridor from below, it is forty to fifty meters high and 500 meters long. In my experience, 500 meters is too long. People who are not afraid have no energy to walk, and people who are afraid (mainly children) can easily block the back in front.
