I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff of the Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Xishuangbanna! 🙏🙏I entered the garden at around 11 o'clock in the morning and saw the scenery of the west area. I left the garden at around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. When I was about to take a bus back to Jinghong, I found that my wallet was lost, which scared me! I walked to the entrance of the scenic area and asked the staff. The security staff in the park were very nice! 👍👍Driving a battery car into the park, accompanied me to the place I had walked, and looked for my lost wallet. Later, the security staff at the ticket office called and said: Someone picked up the wallet and handed it over to the ticket office at the gate! Asked me to claim it and compare it! When I got there, it was indeed my wallet. I was so happy!

Thank you very much again! 🙏🙏

There are many, many plants in the garden, very beautiful! It's worth a visit.

By No need for four horses to travel |

After a week of cloudy and rainy days, today, I saw the long-lost sunshine in the botanical garden. At this moment, the botanical garden has distant mountains, ripples on the water, swaying palm trees, and green grass... Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is located in Menglun Town, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, more than 40 kilometers away from the city. This is also the only way from Kunming to Mohan, the border port of Laos. The tropical botanical garden is located on the bank of Luosuo River, a tributary of the Lancang River, and surrounds its beautiful gourd-shaped peninsula. The annual average temperature here is 21.5C and the climate is humid. It was founded in the 1950s by Professor Cai Xitao, a famous botanist in my country. After nearly 60 years of construction and development, it has become a comprehensive research institution integrating scientific research, seed preservation, and popular science tourism. From Jinghong City, you can take a minibus for 21 yuan to get directly to the main entrance of the botanical garden. The botanical garden is divided into two parts, the West District and the East District; the West District is mainly a botanical garden with more than 30 classified gardens. The East Zone is much larger than the West Zone. It is a tropical rainforest of more than 800 hectares. You have to climb mountains to get in. Therefore, older tourists usually only choose the West Zone. The Botanical Garden ticket is 80 yuan per person, half price for those aged 60-70, and free for those aged 70 and above.

The car first took us to the Mengsheng Botanical Garden and the Shuisheng Botanical Garden, which are adjacent to each other. There are Thai Victoria and water lilies here. The Victoria's leaves are as big as a lid, lying flat on the water, like a large bathtub. It is said that even a child lying on it will not sink. The lotus leaves cover most of the water surface of the pond. The water surface is like a mirror, the lotus leaves are lazy, but there is not a single blooming lotus! I wonder if we are here at the wrong time, or if the Victoria does not bloom at all? Standing on the bank of the pond with only lotus leaves but no lotus, you certainly won't see the artistic conception of "straight inside and outside, no vines or branches, fragrant and clear, and standing tall and clean". Think about it, if Mr. Zhou Dunyi saw the Thai Victoria without lotus, what would he write? Water lilies are much smaller than Victoria amazonica. The lotus leaves are densely packed and cover the entire pond surface. The flowers are pink and white. "They are graceful and shy, just like pearls, stars in the blue sky, and beauties just out of the water. The breeze brings wisps of fragrance" (Zhu Ziqing's "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond"). Its leaves are not like those we often see, standing upright and above the water. At this time, the leaves of the water lilies are also lazily floating on the water surface, with flowers and leaves mixed together, covering the clear water in the pond.

Compared to the laziness of Victoria regia and the flat surface of water lilies, the dragon (palm) and banyan trees on the shore look like sturdy warriors, protecting the "jewelry girls" around them. The weeping fig and bodhi fig are majestic and tall, standing between heaven and earth, with broad crowns that block out the sun; the roots are coiled like a dragon; the aerial roots are intertwined, and from a distance they look like long beards fluttering in the wind. In the water and on the shore, one stands and the other is flat, complementing each other, and the beauty is amazing. There are many dazzling, unheard-of, and unseen magical tropical plants in the botanical garden, and there are also many stories. We will talk about this next time! I went there before the Spring Festival, which is not the best time, but I still think it is good. I got to know so many tropical plants, although I can't remember them all. 😄. This botanical garden is so large that it takes at least three hours to walk through the west area, and you can't see it all. Even if you follow the signs, you can easily go the wrong way. However, it is really worth seeing. The photos uploaded are only a small part.

By nameless |

When I was asked to come to the Botanical Garden at first, I actually refused. It was not until I arrived that I learned that the Botanical Garden was founded under the leadership of the famous botanist Mr. Cai Xitao. There are so many plants, all kinds of tropical plants, such as palm trees, coconut trees, etc., and there are too many trees and plants that I can't name. Among them, the Famous Tree Garden was built in 1999, covering an area of 55 acres, and a total of 275 species or varieties of tropical plants are collected and displayed.

The Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is the only 5A-level scenic spot in Xishuangbanna.

Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, referred to as Xishuangbanna Botanical Garden, is generally called Menglun Botanical Garden by Xishuangbanna locals. The Luosuo River, a tributary of the Lancang River, just turned a corner and surrounded the land into a gourd-shaped peninsula. The botanical garden was built on this peninsula called Huludao. The Xishuangbanna Botanical Garden was founded in the 1950s under the leadership of Professor Cai Xitao, a famous botanist. After decades of development and construction, it is currently the largest botanical garden in China with the most preserved species.

Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, is located in Huludao, Menglun Town, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. It is China's largest botanical garden with the richest species collection and the most plant-specific parks. It is also a comprehensive research institution and scenic spot integrating scientific research, species conservation and popular science education.

The predecessor of the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was the "Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden" founded in 1959 under the leadership of Professor Cai Xitao. After several reorganizations and changes of affiliation, it was approved by the Office of the Central Organization and Establishment Commission in September 1996 and named the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

On March 28, 2017, the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was selected by the National Tourism Administration and the Chinese Academy of Sciences as one of the "First Ten Science and Technology Tourism Bases in China".

As of September 2015, the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which covers an area of approximately 11.25 square kilometers, has collected more than 12,000 species of living plants, built 38 plant-specific areas, and preserved an area of approximately 250 hectares of pristine tropical rainforest. [2] [6]

According to incomplete statistics, there are about 1,400 species of tropical plants in 38 different specialized parks in the park, 130 families, and more than 1,000 species of plants, including 458 species of palms, including the national protected plants such as the Qiong palm, the dwarf Qiong palm, the Dong palm, and the dragon palm, the national first-class protected plant Parashorea chinensis, the national second-class protected plants Yunnan stone catalpa and elm green wood, as well as more than 20 rare tropical timber tree species such as precious teak, rosewood, and Yunnan red thick shell; there are 121 gymnosperms such as Araucariaceae, Pinaceae, Taxaceae, Cupressaceae, Podocarpaceae, Cephalotaxaceae, and Taxaceae; there are about 150 species of Ficus ; 170 species of ginger plants; more than 300 species of ferns, including more than 10 species of national key protected and rare ferns; about 100 species (varieties) of aquatic plants such as rain lily, azolla, water hyacinth, American locust leaf duckweed, duckweed, big float, pondweed, and water hyacinth; 645 species (varieties) of tropical flowers and plants; more than 250 species of bamboos such as giant dragon bamboo, green bamboo, thorny bamboo, and glutinous rice fragrant bamboo; there are 641 species (varieties) of grapefruit, mango, banana varieties and famous tropical fruits such as mangosteen, betel nut, rambutan, longan, lychee, avocado, papaya, beverage plants such as cocoa and kola, and some wild fruit trees.

The Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is very beautiful and worth a visit. I feel that the planning of the park is quite perfect. It is the largest botanical garden in China with the richest collection of species and the most plant-specific parks. It can be exaggerated to say that there are scenery everywhere. The camera is absolutely beautiful. I think you must come to this place to see it when you come to Xishuangbanna. It is recommended to visit in the morning because it is hot in the afternoon. If you visit the West District, you can spend about four hours to stroll around and immerse yourself in it. If you are in a hurry, take a battery car for about 2 hours. The East District is large, so you need to have enough time.

By Herbal tea is not cold |

We arrived at the botanical garden at around 9:20. It was drizzling and the ground was wet. I was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and a skin jacket and was shivering from the cold.

The botanical garden is really big. I entered the garden at around 9 o'clock and walked until around 4 o'clock. I suggest you buy a ticket for the scenic area tour bus. I didn't take the bus or the tour guide, so I walked a lot of unnecessary and repeated roads. Of course, I also walked all the marked attractions and unmarked remote routes.

I didn't see any ripe bananas, but there were many fruit trees. It seemed that these could be picked. See the guides written by previous people.

Many flowers have not bloomed in this season, especially orchids. By the way, the suspension bridge is actually a very stable iron bridge. I even walked around it to take a look. I thought it was a shaking bridge.

There are many supply points in the scenic area, so you don’t need to bring dry food.

The Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is divided into two areas: the East and West.

The West District is more developed and has a larger area, so you must visit the West District.

There are shuttle buses in both areas to travel between various small attractions.

The sightseeing bus ticket price for each area is 50 yuan.

The first attraction when entering the park is this lotus pond. You can spend a whole day taking photos around this place.

November is not the season when large lotus flowers bloom, but that cannot stop the freshness of this pond.

On the other side of the lotus pond is a palm grove.

There are many varieties of trees. I carefully identified them for a long time but could not find the difference between them.

I really like it.

When you get off at each scenic spot, the driver will tell you where the next pick-up point is.

The vehicles are one-way so you don't have to worry about missing out on the scenery.

There are places worth visiting at every stopping point, and the whole journey takes about three hours.

The park is really big, full of green and very pleasing to the eyes.

There are all kinds of strange-shaped flowers and plants that I have never seen before, and the large patches of bougainvillea are super beautiful.

I still recommend you take a sightseeing bus.

Especially when sitting in the back seat of the last row, it feels really comfortable to drive through this botanical garden.

The botanical garden is divided into the East and West areas. We lived there and drove in from the East Gate.

The environment inside is very good and there are many types of plants.

You need to buy electric cars for the East District and the West District respectively, which cost 50 yuan per person. It is recommended to buy only the East District. You can walk slowly around the gardens in the West District.

Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is a comprehensive botanical garden integrating tropical scientific research, species preservation, and popular science education. It is the largest botanical garden in China with the richest species collection and the most plant-specific parks. The botanical garden is divided into two parts: the West District and the East District (Rain Forest in the Valley and Green Stone Forest). Those who like exotic flowers and plants and taking photos can choose the West District, and those who like primitive forests and hiking outdoors can choose the East District. Tickets are 80 yuan/person (75 yuan/person for online purchase); scenic area sightseeing bus: 50 yuan/person for the West District, 50 yuan/person for the East District, and 100 yuan/person for the East-West District combined ticket; the tour takes 3-5 hours (a horse-drawn tour mode). External transportation: There are shuttle buses from Banna Bus Station and Jinghong Bus Station (about 60km, 1.5 hours drive, 25 yuan/person) to the botanical garden (you can follow the WeChat public account to buy tickets in advance).

Take the 8:15 bus from Banna Bus Station and arrive at the Banna Bus Station on the north side of the northwest gate of the Botanical Garden at 9:40 (a very simple tin house on the side of the road. It is recommended to buy a return ticket in advance so that you can get priority on the bus if you have a ticket on the return trip). Go south to the ticket gate to exchange your ticket and enter the garden. After that, walk to the west area of the Botanical Garden, roughly following: Northwest Gate of the West Area - South of the Hundred Flowers Garden - Energy Botanical Garden - Dipterocarp Garden - Exotic Flower Garden - Ethnic Botanical Garden - Shade Botanical Garden (temporarily closed) - Hundred Fruit Garden - National Tree and National Flower Garden - Southern Medicinal Garden - Hundred Bamboo Garden - North of the Hundred Flowers Garden - Northwest Gate of the West Area. The route distance is 7.3km (including 1km round trip from the bus station to the ticket gate of the scenic area), and the travel time is 5 hours.

The Botanical Garden is divided into the West District and the East District. If you like in-depth travel and nature, you can spend two days here. The Hundred Flowers Garden, the Exotic Flowers Garden, and the National Tree Garden in the West District are more crowded with tourists because they are on and off the battery car. But the Hundred Flowers Garden is very large and it is easy to find a place without people. Children like the plant maze in the Hundred Flowers Garden. The Exotic Flowers Garden has dancing grass, pitcher plants, mimosa, etc. If you come in winter, the dancing grass will not move until after 3 pm. The National Tree Garden is not interesting. Others such as the Banyan Garden, the Hundred Bamboo Garden, the Arboretum, the Cycad Garden, etc., have fewer people and also have a rainforest feel. The Botanical Garden is the most beautiful in April and May, but even if you come in winter like me, you can still see a lot of flowers. The East District includes the Tropical Rainforest and the Green Stone Forest Scenic Area. There are fewer people in the Tropical Rainforest and it feels great. There are more people in the Green Stone Forest, and you have to climb the mountain, and the experience is not as good as the tropical rainforest. In addition, a night tour is especially recommended, where the guide takes you to the Botanical Garden at night to find insects and watch the stars. Children especially like this activity. There is a night tour reservation phone number on the Botanical Garden's official account. If it is the peak season, you need to book a few weeks in advance. The Botanical Garden ticket is only valid for one day (if you go to the Botanical Garden during the day, you don't need to buy another ticket for the night tour that night). We had to buy new tickets the next day. The battery car can be purchased separately for the West District and the East District. We went to the East District the next day and only bought the battery car ticket for the East District. We had to walk to the West District and East District transfer station to take the East District battery car. The journey was not as far as imagined. We walked and strolled from the west gate to the transfer station, which was okay. If you want to go to the tropical rain forest, you have to tell the battery car driver. If you don't tell him, he will directly drag you to the Green Stone Forest Scenic Area.

By Want to eat clay pot rice |

This place is also quite far from the city, and it is super big inside, with various ways to play. You can sign up for the kind of in-depth tour and night tour with professional explanations. For a layman like me, just following the circle and seeing all kinds of plants is enough to open my eyes. The tour guide also did the full explanation, which was not easy. I was so excited at the time that I forgot everything when I came out. I suggest watching Man and Nature repeatedly, haha. This botanical garden should be visited by most tourists who come to Xishuangbanna. It is indeed worth a visit, but it was too hot that day and I didn't want to visit it later. On the contrary, the tour guide brother has to explain so professionally every time, which is not easy!

By I am Cat Season |

As a 5A scenic spot, the environment is very satisfactory. It is one of my favorite attractions in our trip to Banna. The view is wide and the plants are everywhere. You can take big pictures at will. The botanical garden is very large, so you must buy an electric car. The main ticket plus the electric car of the West Garden is 125 yuan/person, and the whole garden needs another 50 yuan. There are 4 stations in the West Garden, and the East Garden is a more primitive forest park with 2 stations. If you only visit the West Garden, it will take about 3-4 hours, and the whole garden will take 5-6 hours. However, the scenery is similar. You will be very tired after visiting the West Garden. If you are not particularly interested in plants and forests, the West Garden is enough to play.

By Donut |

I booked the night tour about two weeks in advance. If you book it a few days in advance, you won't be able to book it. The customer service said that they would call and add WeChat to pay at noon on the same day, but they didn't add it at noon on the same day. I took the initiative to contact them and they immediately added my WeChat. 300 yuan for 5 people was paid by WeChat. We met at 8 o'clock. The tour guide suggested that we wear long sleeves and long pants, but it was a bit stuffy because of the rain, so we wore long pants instead of long sleeves.

Tickets purchased online cannot be used the next day, so you have to buy them at the ticket gate and you can enter the next day with your payment receipt.

Our tour guide, who is a Dai, will use a flashlight to show us the insects.

There are relatively fewer fireflies in July. The tour guide said that you can see groups of fireflies in May and June, but I am satisfied to see them. Fireflies with one light strip are female, and those with two light strips are male.

By Sunflowers have no dimples |

After arriving at the scenic spot, we first took a battery car to tour the west area. The first stop was the Victoria amazonica where Ma Yun stood to take pictures. It was not the right season now, so we could not stand on it. Later, we visited several areas in turn, listening to the guide's explanation while visiting. There were many tropical plants that we had never seen before, which was quite interesting. The hot air balloon area was very suitable for taking pictures, but no one was riding it when we arrived.

There is a restaurant at the transfer point between the West District and the East District. There are some simple meals here, such as hot and sour noodles, grilled sausages, etc., which can be used for a simple lunch. More tourists choose to bring their own dry food, and there are seats for rest at the transfer point. After lunch, take an electric car to the Green Stone Forest in the East District. As I said in the first chapter, the Green Stone Forest is just a mountain climbing in my opinion. The scenery is average and there is nothing to see. Then take an electric car to the Valley Rain Forest in the East District. Here you can follow the guide to walk around and see some wonders of the rainforest. The journey is not far and it is suitable for all ages.

The tree in the fourth picture below is a Tetraspermum truncatum. Its trunk base extends out some huge wing-like structures, shaped like board walls. These are large board roots, which are spectacular. The first picture shows the common plant strangulation phenomenon in tropical rainforests. This tree has been strangled. In the botanical garden, you can also see different landscapes in the early, middle and late stages of strangulation. The second picture shows a plant growing on another plant, which is very interesting. In the third picture, when I took a photo with my mobile phone, the phone automatically identified it as a "waterfall", which is indeed a waterfall of the tree. These photos are just the tip of the iceberg of the wonders of the tropical rainforest. I really recommend following the guide and listening carefully to the explanation to visit the original tropical rainforest. It will definitely be an eye-opener.

On the first day in Banna, I chose the [Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences] route. After all, I have studied landscape design for 4 years and have a familiarity with trees, flowers and plants. Especially when I came to the botanical garden in the tropics, I could see many rare plants that I had only seen in textbooks before.

There are also shuttle buses to the Botanical Garden at the north gate of Gaozhuang. The information I checked said that the Botanical Garden is very large. I was worried that my visit would not be scientific and reasonable, and I would take too many detours and waste time. In the end, I chose to join a one-day tour with a group.

The Botanical Garden is divided into two parts, the East and West. You can choose whether to take the electric car (you definitely have to, you can't walk). The West District (pictured below) is an exclusive protection area classified by plant families, such as Gramineae, aquatic plants, Palms, vines, etc. There is a relatively fixed tour route for the scenic area bus. You can take a bus to play for a while, and then take a bus to the next stop. The East District is mainly based on the protection of the original tropical rainforest. The plants in it are no longer classified by family, retaining the original tropical growth environment, and the area is also larger. So if you want to have fun, it will take at least half a day. If you are interested, you can also stay in the only hotel in the Botanical Garden, "Wanglian Hotel".

By Cat ears rabbit |

I have seen netizens recommend the night tour of the Botanical Garden before, and I also experienced it this time. The fee is 300 yuan for a tour guide for less than 5 people, and then you need to pay for the tickets separately. If you don't visit the daytime ticket, you can still use it the next day. If it rains and the activity is cancelled, the fee can be refunded.

The night tour is all on foot, and it is very physically demanding for families with children, because they basically have to hold their children all the way. The tour guide only uses a flashlight to explain everything he sees. This is really attractive for children living in the city.

I saw all kinds of small insects at night, birds sleeping together, and the national first-class protected animal giant gecko. I also saw diamonds (spiders) all over the ground, flashing fireflies, and a sky full of stars.

The night tour was also a big challenge for the children. In the end, they were unable to watch the entire show and were carried back to the hotel by their father.

A must-see attraction in Xishuangbanna, but if you go to Wangtianshu, you can skip this place. Wangtianshu is far away but more authentic. There are many artificial ones here, but it is also a must-see place.

When you step into the botanical garden, a vibrant green world appears before your eyes, with lush trees, green grass, and gorgeous flowers. It is beautiful and magical. Looking around, there are tall trees and scattered shrubs everywhere. Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden is worth a visit!

This is the essence of Xishuangbanna. I didn't take any photos here. But I visited here three times. You should go there more often. The food is not very delicious. I think the food is still in Mangshi. But it is lively.

A must-visit place when you arrive in Xishuangbanna. It is recommended to go during the day!

By hyacinth! |

You can visit the botanical garden on foot or take an electric car and get off at designated locations.

If possible, it is best to stay at the only Wanglian Hotel in the park, which will be very convenient for you to visit.

By Memories and Commemorations |

The Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is almost one of the must-visit places for tourists to Xishuangbanna. There are a lot of people, but when I went there in February, the flowers were not in bloom. I suggest you go when the flowers are in full bloom, then it will be beautiful.

People from Northeast China can go and see it because there are not many plants in Northeast China, but people from the South will definitely regret it! ! ! It is the most disappointing attraction I have in Banna!

1. Tickets are super expensive! We arrived at 3pm. I read in the guide that tickets for the East and West Districts are 50 yuan each. We only wanted to visit the West District, but the ticket seller said that no matter which district you enter, you have to buy an 80 yuan ticket. Because we don’t have enough time, we can only take a battery car to visit the West District, which is 130 yuan per person! I checked online and the lowest price is 124 yuan! Think about it, if it is a national-level scenic spot, a botanical garden costs 130 yuan. It is big inside, but it is big and empty. It is not as good as the Xiamen Botanical Garden (ticket is 30 yuan). For students, if they take a battery car, it costs 90 yuan per person. How can a scenic spot that popularizes knowledge for the people be so expensive? ? There are very few people. It is not the peak season and the park closes on time at 6 o'clock. You can't take the battery car. It gets dark later in Banna at night. It doesn't get dark until 7:30. It happened to be very cool at that time. It was very hot before. Why can't it be 7 o'clock?

2. The ticket seller has a very bad attitude and will roll his eyes when you ask a few questions

3. The scenery is the same as the park. When you come here in February, the flowers are all withered. When you go over, you can see only bare tree trunks and green leaves on the flowers.

4. The journey is long and the round trip is about 2 hours and 45 kilometers. The round trip fare is 50 per person (which is better than the battery car fare in the scenic area)

Young people should give up this attraction. Taking photos is also a park landscape. The first comment of China-TravelNote is for this deceptive attraction. Please like me and push me up so that the official can see it! Say no to deceptive attractions!

The Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is the only botanical research base of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is divided into two islands, the east and west. The western island has a heavier artificial trace, mainly for the convenience of research.

By China-TravelNote users |

I actually toured the West District and the East District today.

The West District was visited on foot for 4 hours, and the East District was visited by electric car for almost 1 hour. It was quite a good deal to visit both districts while keeping the physical strength under control. The ticket was 80 yuan, and the East District electric car was 50 yuan, which was more reasonable than the package price.

By China-TravelNote users |

This is the most amazing attraction in my trip to Xishuangbanna. Because I went to the Rainforest Valley before, I gave up the east area for hiking and only visited the west area. The overall feeling is big, beautiful, and diverse. I suggest you buy an electric car, which is really big and has all kinds of plants, very beautiful. Recommended.

By Fat fish and shrimp |

I played there for 2 days, but I didn't feel I had enough fun. I will come again next time I have the chance.

By China-TravelNote users |

If you have enough time, definitely don't take the tour bus. The road between each point is full of scenery. We spent six hours just visiting the West District.

By Diana |

It's super big and divided into 3 parts. I only visited two parts due to limited time. I think it's a must-see attraction in Xishuangbanna. If you plan to go to the Tropical Botanical Garden, you don't need to go to the Parashorea chinensis.

By tjhzgcdb |

Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences - 75 km, about an hour and a quarter. Tickets are 80 yuan, free for children, 50% off with senior citizen cards. If you choose to ride the battery car, it costs 100 yuan per person.

By Zhang Dashuai |

After a careful look at the West Zone, I found it to be the best tropical botanical garden in China. The water lilies in the pond are especially beautiful. I learned a lot from visiting the entire botanical garden.

By Jiaojiao |

It's very beautiful, and the interior is very big. I like it very much. There are many things in it that a northerner has never seen before. It's really beautiful. I will go there again if I have the chance.

By lo travel ve |

I just went there today. If you want to see flowers in October, there are many bougainvilleas in the Hundred Flowers Garden. There is nothing amazing about other places. Oh, there is also a palm garden with royal water lilies, which is also OK. In the Hundred Fruit Garden, there are many fruits such as carambolas, sapodillas, cocoa, pomelo, and egg yolk fruits. I forgot the others. For ordinary people, it is just like an ordinary park. You will regret it for a while if you come here, and you will regret it for a lifetime if you don't come here. I reported a 150 yuan package that includes round-trip tickets and entrance tickets. The entrance ticket alone is 80 yuan. Now many scenic spots have reduced their entrance fees. I saw the comments that it was 104 yuan. I didn't buy a battery car. The battery car cost 100 yuan for the whole park and 50 yuan for the west area. The comments in 2012 said that it only rose from 30 yuan to 40 yuan, and it was 50 yuan in 2018.

The West Zone is 8.5 kilometers, which is equivalent to walking more than 20 laps around a 400-meter playground. My mother and I decided not to buy an electric car, otherwise it would be a bit of a rush and she wouldn't be able to take as many photos as she wanted. The whole park is 23.5 kilometers, so we walked in the West Zone. In the East Zone, we walked to the entrance of the tropical rain forest and returned. It was already past 2 o'clock, and our direct bus to the scenic area was due to leave at 3:30. I checked my steps on WeChat and found that I had only taken more than 22,000 steps, so we had almost walked through the West Zone.

1. The Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is about 70 kilometers away from Banna Gasa Airport, which takes about 1.5 hours to drive.

2. The ticket price for the Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is 104 yuan, and the half-price ticket for students is 52 yuan. There are also weekly tickets, half-monthly tickets and monthly tickets. The latter three tickets can only be purchased at the suspension bridge. If you only play for one day or half a day, you can buy a normal ticket. If you plan to play for more than a few days, you can buy a weekly ticket, half-monthly ticket or monthly ticket according to the situation. The weekly ticket is 156 yuan, and you need to provide a 1-inch photo. You can enter and exit the botanical garden unlimited times within a week.

3. If you want to visit the Botanical Garden, you can stay at Wanglian Hotel in the scenic area. The standard room is about 700 yuan. If you want to be economical, Chunlin Hotel next to the suspension bridge is a good choice. The family room we stayed in had a large bed, a small bed and an extra bed, and a separate bathroom. It cost 120 yuan a day.

1. If you take the East District sightseeing bus, you can only visit the Green Stone Forest and Tropical Rainforest in order. The ticket for the East District scenic area bus is 50 yuan, and you will be required to check your ticket every time you get on the bus.

2. You need to climb the Green Stone Forest, and there are wooden plank roads that are easy to walk on. The intensity of visiting the entire scenic area is about the same as that of Baiwang Mountain in Beijing. The distance between each scenic spot is very close, and the signs of the scenic area are also very clear. It should be noted that you should go to the Lovers Peak first and then to the Big Root, so you don’t have to go back. The two viewing platforms at the Lovers Peak are one made of wood and the other is made of glass, each with its own highlights.

3. It took us three and a half hours to visit the Green Stone Forest.

4. Strollers are not allowed on the roads in Green Stone Forest.

5. You can eat at the Green Stone Forest Scenic Area Visitor Center.

6. We spent 2 hours and 20 minutes in the tropical rain forest today, plus the 1 hour and 10 minutes yesterday, which is exactly 3 and a half hours.

7. The tropical rainforest also has a circular tour route, which is basically suitable for strollers.

1. Each park in the West Garden of the Tropical Botanical Garden is very close, so if you have good physical strength and are not in a hurry, it is best to visit on foot instead of taking a tour bus. You can see many scenery that you cannot see by taking a tour bus.

2. It took us about 9 hours to visit Xiyuan today.

3. There will be an "My Victoria amazonica My Boat" experience activity from July to August, starting at 9:00 in the morning. Anyone weighing less than 40 kg is welcome. This year's experience fee is 50 yuan per session.

4. The opening hours of the Tropical Rainforest National Culture Museum are from 8:00 to 18:00. The museum displays national culture on one side and natural resources on the other. It is quite informative. There are also some popular science experience activities.

5. The Garden of Exotic Flowers and Plants is where tourists gather. There are dancing grass and mimosa in it. But I prefer the Dipterocarp Garden next to it. The towering trees line the road, which feels very good. There are not many tourists here, and it is very quiet.

6. The Hundred Flowers Garden is the largest garden area and is beautifully decorated. Flowers bloom all year round, and each season has its own characteristics. There are many pavilions of various styles in the Hundred Flowers Garden, which can provide shade and shelter from rain.

7

By Blue Fat Paper |

There are still many people in the scenic area. I saw many plants and flowers along the way. The most interesting one was the dancing grass.

When we arrived at the exotic flower garden, it was hilarious, with all kinds of ghosts howling and wolves howling. We also encountered strangulation along the way, where a tree was entangled by another tree until it absorbed nutrients and strangled the wrapped tree to death.

By YA |

It's awesome! You must visit the Botanical Garden when you come to Xishuangbanna

By quiet |

A very favorite scenic spot, there is a hotel in the scenic spot,

I personally think this is the most worthwhile attraction in Xishuangbanna! You can stay here for a vacation if you have time!

The scenic area is divided into two areas, the West Area, which has the Hundred Flowers Garden, the Exotic Flowers and Herbs Garden, the Hundred Fruits Garden, etc., mainly displaying tropical plants, and is also the main tourist area for tourists. The East Area is a tropical rainforest, which you can experience, but if you have visited the tropical rainforest scenic spots such as the Wangtianshu, the East Area can be ignored.

The ticket is a pass for the Central and Western Scenic Areas, but there is a difference in the sightseeing bus. A single area costs 50 yuan, and the East and West area sightseeing bus pass costs 100 yuan. The distance between the East and West areas is very far! If you want to go to the East District, you must buy a sightseeing bus ticket. In fact, the West District alone is very large. If you only visit for one day without staying, it is recommended to buy a sightseeing bus! Keep the sightseeing bus ticket well, the inspection is very strict, and it must be checked at each stop!

By Eriol |

There are scenery everywhere. The 5A-level scenic spots are worth it, hahaha. There are all kinds of vegetation science popularization, and there are all kinds of interesting companions. The ticket is 104, and the battery car is 100. It is cheaper to buy it online. There is no food and beverage inside. It is recommended to buy various fruits at the door. It is a very good experience

By MIKA |

It's all plants. It's better to take a sightseeing bus. Otherwise, it will be boring after walking for a long time. It's suitable for taking pictures.

By Love driving |

We went to the West District and the East District, and took the battery car in the second district. Because I brought my mother with me, we took the car to every scenic spot, which was not bad. After all, it is a 5A scenic spot in Banna, check in

By What's a good name? |

We arrived at the Botanical Garden at around 10:30. We were not happy because we were cheated by the bus, but the Chinese Academy of Sciences is really beautiful. After walking around the West District for an hour, our mood improved. We adjusted our mentality and walked and took the electric car all the way to the West District from 11 o'clock to 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The park closed at 6 o'clock. I calculated my physical strength and walking speed for the remaining two hours. I walked to the Tropical Rainforest Valley in the East District, and then hurried back. I walked back to the West District and took the electric car out of the gate. I was exhausted. However, because I didn't have the electric car ticket for the East District, I didn't have enough physical strength and time, so I really regretted not being able to finish the East District. Anyway, I recommend that people who like plants don't think it's expensive, and it's better to buy the electric car tickets for the East and West Districts.

However, there is one very strange thing. We found a fork road in the East District. Locals rode motorcycles and drove cars in the East District without buying tickets. So it is estimated that the locals know the free way to the East District.

The largest garden in the west area of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden is the Hundred Flowers Garden. I think the beautiful scenery is also concentrated in the Hundred Flowers Garden. The Aquatic Botanical Garden is also good. Sometimes there will be tour guides leading the group up by electric car, and you can also listen to the introduction. One of the tour guides mentioned that June is the best season for the Hundred Flowers Garden. You can refer to it. When I went there, the water lilies in the Aquatic Botanical Garden were blooming well, while many flowers in the Hundred Flowers Garden had already withered. In the Hundred Fruit Garden, the grapefruits grew on the trees, and many mangoes had rotted on the ground.

Personally, I think the Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is also a must-visit attraction in Banna. Although it was very tiring and I got cheated, the scenery was great and I still found it very fun. If I hadn't been cheated, I would have had more fun.

Tips:

1. You must choose a sunny day when you come to the Botanical Garden so that you can sit on the Victoria regia. Victoria regia stipulates that people under 40 kilograms can sit on it. If you have children who want to sit on the Victoria regia to take pictures, remember to avoid rainy days.

2. If you want to see fireflies, you have to wait for a sunny day to see them. Generally, you can see fireflies from 8 to 9 pm. You must be brought in by a tour guide. You cannot go in by yourself, and you have to make an appointment in advance to see fireflies. You can ask the hotel or driver to help you make the reservation in advance, because there are only 8 groups of people allowed in every day. If you want to see fireflies, don't be afraid of trouble. Just book a Wanglian Hotel and experience the tropical rainforest. You can visit the tropical rainforest in the afternoon, go back to the hotel for dinner, and then go out to look for fireflies at 8 pm.

3. If you don’t have enough time, you can just visit the West District, but you still need to take an electric car with a tour guide, which costs 50 yuan per person.

The Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is mainly divided into the West Zone and the East Zone. The West Zone is mainly for some scientific research plants planted by national scientific researchers. It is of high scientific value and you can learn about many new plants. The East Zone is a pure natural tropical rainforest scenic area where you can see many magical phenomena of nature.

The general way to play is to take the scenic area battery car, first play the west area and then go to the east area. The entire scenic area is too large, so it is enough to arrange this attraction in one day.

By China-TravelNote user 333 |

The West and East districts cost 100 dollars to take a bus to visit. I don't think it's worth it. There is a saying that goes "I'm here now"

By China-TravelNote users |

Generally speaking, the West District is well developed, with all kinds of flowers and plants, and the route is also reasonable. The East District is more primitive, and you can see all kinds of strange imaginations of the primeval forest. The West District is the main tourist attraction, and the East District can be decided according to your own itinerary. Don't repeat the primeval forest.

By Anti-Tensile Kandice |

The vegetation here is very diverse, which is suitable for learning and increasing knowledge! The plants here can be said to have taught me a lot of science, and it is very suitable for children to stay and see the magical nature.

By user |

The botanical garden is divided into the East District and the West District. We only visited the West District and took the scenic area's electric car to reach different parks.

By fly. |

I don't know much about the plants inside, but the fresh air and the remarkable tropical rainforest scenery are great. Even taking photos while doing splits is great here! Recommended! !

By Fixes |

This is the first time I have seen so many plants. What a surprise!

By A |

After the rain, we went shopping. You can drive from the east gate, but you can only walk or take an electric car from the west gate. The east area is a more natural forest area, and the west area has a garden-like vegetation. We basically visited the west area from 3 pm to 8 pm. We wanted to stay up a while to see the fireflies, but we couldn't. The scenic area is very large and beautiful. It feels better not to take an electric car to visit slowly. We had a buffet at Wanglian Hotel for 60 per person, which was not bad. I was going to book Wanglian Hotel for sleep, but I booked Helen Holiday by mistake. The cost performance is really high, and the parent-child suites are very cheap.

By Cool little old lady |

The Tropical Botanical Garden is divided into the East and West areas. The East area is similar to a primeval forest, while the West area has more flowers.

By Hitomi |

The park is so big that it takes a whole day to take a tour bus to visit various botanical gardens. If you don't buy a ticket, you can't walk out even if you walk for a few days. There are not many tourists in the off-season, and the road signs are not obvious. The plants in each park and rainforest area are all grown naturally. There are almost no staff, who are only concerned with the beautiful scenery. I deviated from the main road many times and got lost in the various plants and couldn't find the station.

When you arrive at the tropical rainforest area, you feel like you have entered a primeval forest. You can't see any tourists for several kilometers. It's quiet all around, with only all kinds of strange vines entwined around the towering ancient trees. You can't see the sky when you look up, and you can hear birds chirping from time to time, some of which are pleasant and some are creepy. If you don't follow the signs on the wooden plank road, you really can't get out.

The tropical rainforest scenic area is a one-way round trip hike. After walking around and climbing up and down the plank road stairs, I accidentally climbed onto the rainforest viewing platform. The incandescent sunlight swept away the oppressive feeling of the hot, humid and dark sky just now. Standing at the highest point and overlooking the entire rainforest, I couldn't believe that I was just running around in this primitive forest.

By 7:30 🐺🐺🐺 |

The garden is so huge that it is impossible to walk through it all in one day. I personally think that friends who have visited rainforest scenic spots can completely give up visiting the East District and slowly stroll around and take photos in the West District. It is really suitable for taking photos. The flowers and plants are so beautiful. There was a couple in our group who went in specifically with equipment and fairy-like clothes to take photos.

There is a Victoria amazonica Hotel in the botanical garden. The tour guide said that there would be fireflies in the garden in April and May, and if you stay at the Victoria amazonica Hotel, you would have the opportunity to see them. I told my boyfriend at the time that it was worth staying a few more days in the botanical garden, so that we could walk around slowly every day and look at all the flowers and plants.

There is a restaurant in the west district. The meal is 30 yuan per serving, with two vegetarian dishes and one meat dish. The taste is average. There is instant noodles for sale opposite the restaurant. We didn't buy instant noodles, so we don't know the price. We bought delicious bread and instant cold noodles the day before and brought them in. We also bought a meal and enjoyed the meal.

If you are inside, you must drink plenty of water. Although you may not feel thirsty sometimes, the weather is too hot and you will sweat constantly. You must drink water to prevent heatstroke.

By Ning Xiaoxin |

The botanical garden is divided into the East and West areas. The East area is mainly the virgin forest area, where you can see many very old trees. The one that impressed me the most is the strangler fig. The love-hate relationship between the figs is truly a wonder of nature.

The west area of the botanical garden is composed of various large garden areas, such as the Passion Fragrance Garden and the Hundred Flowers Garden. It would take at least two days to visit the entire garden. Unfortunately, we had too little time, only half a day, so we chose the Garden of Exotic Flowers and Trees, which has all kinds of plants I have never seen before, such as my favorite bottle palm and the grass that starts dancing when it hears singing.

If you want to visit the botanical garden, night tours are highly recommended. Because at night, there is no light in the botanical garden. Volunteers from the local Academy of Sciences led a team of less than 10 people with flashlights to search for various nocturnal insects in the botanical garden. It was really interesting. With the flashlight and angle, it is easy to find spiders because they have shiny gem-like glowing organs on the front of their heads, which is really eye-opening. More importantly, in the pitch-black environment, you can easily see the starry sky. Volunteers will explain the location of various constellations. For bee lovers who like astronomy, don't miss it.

After sightseeing, I felt that it was so spectacular and the colors were so pure! It can be described as "The Wizard of Oz". It is worthy of being the only 5A scenic spot in Xishuangbanna.

Because the whole process was filmed with a mobile phone, the viewing angle is limited, so it doesn't seem to be as stunning as it seems. But the real scene is really more spectacular. You can imagine endless flowers and orchards...

The park is actually built on a small island.

PS: The Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is very large and you can usually spend a whole day there. And the attraction is about 50 kilometers away from the downtown area of Jinghong, so be sure to leave early if you go there.

By Dancing |

When I came here a few years ago, I could get half-price tickets with a teacher's ID, but now no one cares about me anymore.

A famous missile base. Few people take photos here. Because these palm trees look like missiles, they are also called missile palms. Their scientific name seems to be royal palm.

We decided to hire a guide because we brought our children with us and hoped that they could learn more about botany with the help of the staff. However, the guides were all working when we entered the garden, so we had to meet them halfway. We waited for a long time in the palm garden before the guides we hired arrived.

The seeds of the Parashorea chinensis and other palm trees are like parachutes, spinning beautifully as they fall. They will not break when they fall to the ground, and can take root and sprout. The guide picked up several seeds of the palm tree for us, and the children loved them.

There is a hotel here, and you can stay in the park for an in-depth tour. There should also be summer camps in the summer.

[West District] was developed first, which is Huludao. It is an artificially planned botanical garden with a wide variety of plants. It is a good place for science and sightseeing. [East District] is the Green Stone Forest Scenic Area, a natural scenic area opened in the tropical rainforest, which is relatively physically demanding. I personally think that there is no need for a battery car in the West District alone. If you want to go to both the East and West Districts, I suggest buying a package ticket for the battery car~ I suggest that you wait until almost noon to visit the botanical garden, otherwise you will see the following scenery when you come to the forest in the early morning... The coverage rate of the botanical garden is relatively high, and the vegetation is lush, so it is actually foggy when you come early in the morning. My classmates said that this is what was called "miasma" in the past, and it is on the mountain, so it is difficult to dissipate every 2/3 hours... Looking around, it is all foggy, and the visibility is no more than 100 meters. The natural scenery does not look so wonderful~ The towering trees are looming in the fog. We set off quite early and the botanical garden is on a mountain, so as soon as we got off the car, we felt a strong chill. It was really cold... But we didn't think it would be that cold, so we didn't bring any thick clothes. We could only put on whatever we could.

By Bow Long Female Qing |

We went to the botanical garden to see various tropical plants and feed a few mosquitoes. Sao Duoli gave us explanations throughout the whole process and we also took the scenic area electric car. Because the garden is so big, without the electric car, it would probably take a whole day to walk around.

By Number16 |

The botanical garden is worth a visit. The various plants I can't name broadened my horizons. I did learn about a phenomenon: strangulation, an ungrateful behavior in the plant world, where banyan trees entwine and cling to palm trees to grow and prosper until the banyan tree's roots take root and the palm tree's nutrients are exhausted and it dies.

As expected of a 5A-level scenic spot, the Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is a must-see attraction in Xishuangbanna. It is divided into two parks, the East District and the West District. You must buy a battery car ticket, otherwise you can't walk. The West District is composed of more than 20 specialized botanical gardens. The most interesting one for children is the Garden of Exotic Flowers and Flowers, where there are mimosas, which should be called mimosa trees. They are not planted in pots, but have grown into trees. There is also a kind of dancing grass, which moves when you sing. There is nothing to eat in the botanical garden. There are individual juices, corns, etc. There is a second-floor building selling water and meals when you are about to leave, so it is best to bring some food!

This is a paradise for plants, a classic attraction that you must not miss when you come to Banna. It is very large and is divided into the West District and the East District. The West District is full of tropical flowers and plants, while the East District is a primitive tropical rainforest. Generally, you can only visit the West District. You only need to buy a 50-yuan West District battery car to visit the West District by electric car. If you go to the botanical garden, it is recommended to take an electric car. Because the botanical garden is very large. If you walk, you will be very tired. And the routes of the battery car are all arranged. The most worthwhile attractions will take you to.

I spent the whole morning immersed in the flowers and plants in the tropical botanical garden.

Tips: The Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is definitely one of the must-see attractions in Banna. It is worth a visit. There are many tropical plants that cannot be seen in the north, especially the tropical rainforest, which is sparsely populated, very quiet and elegant. The East District is not recommended, only the strangler and rubber trees are worth seeing. Counting the tour bus fee, the cost performance is not high.

By Zhang Jie |

The botanical garden is built on an island. So you have to pass a long bridge across the river from the outside to the inside. The entrance of the botanical garden is very large, and it is a veritable 5A business card of Banna.

The fare is 104 yuan, and the online booking 2 hours in advance is 94 yuan. The battery car in the west area is 40 yuan, and if both the east and west areas are included, the battery car is 100 yuan.

The entire scenic area is mainly divided into the West Zone, the East Zone, and the Green Stone Forest. The botanical garden is not only large in area, rich in species collection, and has many plant-specific parks, but is also a comprehensive research institution and scenic spot integrating scientific research, species preservation, and popular science education. It is also the most dazzling emerald on the phoenix crown and bridal robe of the plant kingdom in the south of the colorful clouds, and a veritable tourist paradise!

There are thousands of rare tropical rainforest plants, including various famous trees, the king of iron trees, the strychnos nux vomica, and dancing grass. Flowers are in full bloom here, and there are many plants. It is a veritable oxygen bar. I took a brief tour of the tropical rainforest in the east area, but did not go deeper. The scenic area is too large to walk. If you want to see all the attractions, you must choose to take a battery car.

By Big Time |

The Tropical Botanical Garden is divided into two major areas. The ticket for the entire area is 104 yuan. If you take an electric car, a round-trip ticket to the west area will add 50 yuan, and a round-trip ticket to the entire area will add 100 yuan.

The western area is well planned and well maintained. The eastern area is large and developed slowly, mostly used for scientific research.

There is a tasting area in the East District where you can only see various plant ingredients when there are activities. I happened to meet a family of employees from the Chinese Academy of Sciences who were resting here. I only found out about this during the conversation, otherwise I would have mistakenly believed that this place was in decline.

By Hello, Reiko |

The botanical garden has introduced its current scale and status, scientific research direction and scope, achievements and contributions, but unfortunately it is difficult for us to remember them.

For ordinary tourists, the vast tracts of virgin forest and the thirteen themed gardens: Tropical Fruit Resource Garden, Shade Botanical Garden, Palm Botanical Garden, Aquatic Botanical Garden, Ethnic Botanical Garden, Medicinal Plant Area, Dipterocarp Plant Area, Spice Plant Area, Bamboo Plant Area, Rare and Endangered Plant Ex Situ Conservation Area, Banyan Garden, Arboretum, and Famous Tree and Flower Garden, and the thousands of rare tropical plants and exotic flowers and trees are the great achievements that we can see most directly.

The chorus of mosses, grasses, shrubs, vines, trees and extremely tall trees in the primitive rainforest valley, layer upon layer, densely packed, dimly lit, and in all shapes and sizes, all play the sound of nature. People move with the scenery, and trees move with people. We are dazzled and amazed at first;

Then I felt the survival of the fittest, and I felt extraordinary and otherworldly, until I forgot everything about myself and the soul left my body, as if I were in a fairyland. Oh! When my soul returned, I regretted not joining a tour group to visit this fairyland.

The botanical garden is so large, and there are so many different kinds of plants, that you can't take in all the famous trees and beauties in the world. It would take at least a few days to browse around, and if you want to study each plant for a few minutes, it would take at least a month.

By Cindy is the Seventh Fairy |

Absolutely all five-star reviews, unanimously praised by all staff. It is mainly tropical plants, and there are some exotic flowers and plants. The scenery is very beautiful, suitable for taking photos and strolling. It includes the West District and the East District. The West District is very large, and it is a good place for photography and playing. You won't get tired of strolling and taking photos for a whole day. The East District includes the Green Stone Forest and the Tropical Rainforest, so you don't have to go to the East District. The Green Stone Forest is not recommended. It's just like climbing a mountain, and it's so tiring that you are exhausted, and it's not as beautiful as the West District.

You can get to Menglun by bus from Jinghong Bus Station or Banna Bus Station. When you get on the bus, remind the driver to remind you to get off at the Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In fact, you can also get off at the Menglun Town Bus Station. Walk to the suspension bridge to buy a ticket to enter the garden. I walked out of the suspension bridge and walked to the town to buy ice water. I wanted to eat some special food, but I didn’t realize that the whole town had a power outage. This botanical garden is really big! ! ! I thought it was not very big at the time, so I didn’t buy a battery car ticket. As a result, I kept walking and walked for most of the day. Friends who visit later must buy a battery car ticket to visit the West Garden. I didn’t go to the East Garden. At that time, I thought I could take a tram to visit the East Garden, but I only walked part of it. I still had to walk there. Because I was alone, I was a little panicked, and I didn’t go to the East Garden because of the urgent time. There are many flowers in the whole West Garden. I saw the miracle fruit in the fruit garden. There are many mango trees and jackfruit trees with fruits in the whole park. The Victoria amazonica has not grown much yet, and the leaves are still very small. In short, the whole park is really super, super big! ! Very conscientious! ! There are many plant species!! Of course, the ants are also quite big. When walking, try to avoid some fruit-bearing trees, because the fruits are all covered with big red or black ants. When returning to Jinghong, you can wait directly at the West Garden Gate, and there will be a bus to pick you up there. Or you can go out from the suspension bridge and take a bus back to Menglun Town Bus Station. This road is not far, and you can also buy some food. I took a bus at the bus station for 23 yuan, and the gate of the garden was 25 yuan. I got off at Gaozhuang, and it should take an hour. When I went there, I bought a ticket at Jinghong Bus Station for 24 yuan, and it took one and a half hours.

The huge botanical garden has all kinds of exotic flowers and plants that you can't imagine. There are flower gardens, palm gardens, etc. The Victoria amazonica is a special feature that starts to bloom in early August. Children can also sit on it, but they have to pay extra. The scenery in the scenic area couldn't be better, I like it very much.

The area is full of various pictographic rocks and lush rainforests, forming a rare spectacle of "forest above and stone forest below", so it is called "Green Stone Forest".

The Green Stone Forest Scenic Area is the original habitat of many rare and endangered animals, such as the double-horned hornbill, gray leaf monkey, peak monkey, gibbon, etc. It also has rich tropical orchid resources. It is a demonstration base for the return and comprehensive protection of these rare and endangered animals and plants.

In the botanical garden, there is a small pavilion next to the museum on the left hand side when you get off the electric car at the first stop. There are many students sketching in the small pavilion.

There are not only tourists in the botanical garden, but also some elderly residents who come here to cultivate their character.

Holding a large paintbrush in his hand, he moved his work back and forth on the ground.

I did some rough checking later and found that even after such a thorough search, there were still three gardens that I had not found. There are a total of 13 specialized plant gardens, including the Palm Garden, Bamboo Garden, Banyan Garden, Camphor Garden, Tropical Fruit Garden, Passion Fragrance Garden, Exotic Flower and Flower Garden, Famous Tree Garden, Ethnic Botanical Garden, Shade Plant Garden, Arboretum, Aquatic Plant Area, and Ex Situ Conservation Area for Endangered Plants in Southern Yunnan.

Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences is about an hour's drive from the city. In fact, most friends recommend taking a tour bus, but the number of tourists during the Chinese New Year... everyone knows! So we walked in.

How can you miss the only 5A-level scenic spot in Xishuangbanna? The scenic area is divided into two parks, the East and the West. Because the area is too large, tourists must take a battery car. Most of the West Park is artificially transplanted and trimmed, so it is very beautiful and the best place to take pictures. The East Park is a primitive forest ecology with many precious and rare animals and plants, which are dangerous and indestructible. So most people just visit the West Park. The play time is about 3 hours. The ticket for the botanical garden is 104, and the battery car is 50. The price is a little expensive, but it is worth visiting.

There are so many plants inside that it dazzled me and gave me a feeling of returning to nature.

Walk around, take a look, and spend the whole afternoon immersed in the flowers and plants in the tropical botanical garden.
