Dongqian Lake, also known as Qian Lake and Wanjin Lake, is a famous scenic spot in Zhejiang Province. It is 15 kilometers east of Ningbo City. The southeast of the lake is backed by green mountains, and the northwest of the lake is close to the plain, that is, 121°34′ east longitude and 28°52′ north latitude. It is part of the geology of Fujian and Zhejiang, and is a natural lagoon formed by geological movements in ancient times. It was praised by Mr. Guo Moruo as "the scenery of West Lake and the spirit of Taihu Lake". Dongqian Lake consists of Guzi Lake, Mei Lake and Waihu Lake. It is 8.5 kilometers long from north to south, 6.5 kilometers wide from east to west, 45 kilometers around the lake, and covers an area of ​​22 square kilometers. It is the largest (natural) freshwater lake in Zhejiang Province, 3 times the area of ​​West Lake in Hangzhou, with an average water depth of 2.2 meters and a total water storage capacity of 33.9 million cubic meters.

Beware! Beware! When you visit Dongqian Lake, after arriving at the tourist distribution center, don't be deceived by scammers who say "you can't drive there" or "it's very close to ride around the lake" and go to the store in the first picture below to rent a bicycle. This store is in collusion with more than one scammer. We were deceived into renting a single bicycle at a price of 50 yuan per bicycle. As a result, we could only ride a few kilometers from here to the entrance of Xiaoputuo Scenic Area and had to return the same way. Because it takes more than five hours to ride around the lake on a mountain road for dozens of miles from here, we had to give up. When we returned the bicycle, we met two groups of tourists who were also deceived by scammers to rent bicycles here. Two of them gave up after riding for only half an hour. Chatting, I learned that it was not the same person who deceived us, but the reasons for deceiving were similar. In fact, tourists who drive themselves can drive along the lakeside road to Jijiazhuang, park there, and then rent a bicycle. There is a special cycling path there. You can ride for a few kilometers to experience it. The scenery is also good. There is grass where you can set up a tent to rest when you are tired. There are also rental points in Shili Sixiang nearby. Single-person bikes are valid for 21 hours, and there are also three-person bikes, as shown in Figures 2, 3, and 4 below.

The late spring morning mist soaked the banks of Dongqian Lake, the bluestone slabs were soaked with the coolness of the Southern Song Dynasty stone carvings, the lake surface was wrinkled into silk by the tips of egrets' wings, the water marks cut by the cruise ship had just healed and were pecked by wild ducks, the reflection of Hanling Ancient Village floated in the sparkling waves, the horse head wall and the homestay cafe collided into ink in the ripples. The wooden plank road caught the drooping willow lines, the silver arc thrown by the fishing rod scared the fish swimming among the algae, the cyclists passed by the Northern Song Dynasty Miaogou Stone Archway, the jingling of the bicycle bells shook off the 800-year-old moss in the cracks of the stone, and when the bell of Xiaoputuo in the center of the lake reached the foot of Taogong Mountain, the tram around the lake crushed the bayberry fragrance all over the ground, the dusk spread over the Butuo Dongtian stone carvings, and the evening breeze rolled up thousands of hectares of green glass. Looking back suddenly, Dongqian Lake has turned into a half-wet inkstone, soaked with the Siming Mountains and the skyline of the new city, and slowly spread out into a half-rolled, wet water-colored long axis in the twilight.

It's not far from Shanghai, and it only takes three hours to drive there. I stayed at the Huaboyuan Resort Hotel by the lake. I rode a bicycle around the lake in the morning, which was very relaxing.

Although my hometown is not far from Dongqian Lake, I always drive past it. This time I bought a ticket to go into Xiaoputuo to take a look. There were not many people. I walked in and had a look. It was a good experience to take a speedboat for 50 yuan and then take a boat back to the entrance of the scenic area.

It is really big. So it is suitable to ride a bicycle to visit Dongqian Lake.

Dongqian Lake is backed by green mountains and bordered by plains to the north. It is more beautiful than West Lake. Unfortunately, the sky was not good during the rainy season and it rained heavily. Despite this, the mist in the rain made Dongqian Lake look like a fairyland.

Dongqian Lake is very big, three times the size of West Lake. There are many nice attractions around the lake, but there are very few tourists, so it's fun to play there. Fuquan Mountain is particularly fun, with beautiful scenery, tea trees, terraced fields, ponds, and teahouses, which are very suitable for a rest. Longtan Teahouse is especially suitable for outdoor weddings during travel.

Dongqian Lake, praised by Mr. Guo Moruo as "the scenery of West Lake and the spirit of Taihu Lake", is indeed very large. It is very nice to stroll around after the rain, without the sun and accompanied by a cool breeze, with fresh air and not many people. However, the scenery is still far from that of West Lake. I feel that such a good scenic spot is poorly planned. If the planning is better, it would be better to string together several scenic spots. However, there are local villagers who ride electric tricycles for dozens of yuan to take you around small attractions, which is also good. If the weather is clear, you can go for a walk in the nearby hotel for a holiday, which is great to relax!

Dongqian Lake was praised by Mr. Guo Moruo as having "the scenery of West Lake and the spirit of Taihu Lake", but I feel that it has neither the beauty of West Lake nor the vastness of Taihu Lake. It is a bit neither good nor bad, and the scenery is still relatively rough.

Ningbo Dongqian Lake is also known as East Lake. It takes about 40 minutes to take a boat around the North Lake. Xiayu Temple is a place to visit. You don't have to get off the boat for the rest. Both Bus 906 and Bus 906 major station sections can reach Dongqian Lake Tourist Service Center, and the journey takes about 1 hour.

When I arrived at the tourist service center at around 9 o'clock, it was still empty. There were information shelves introducing attractions in various parts of Ningbo, and even some attractions outside Ningbo, but there was no map information about Dongqian Lake.

After exiting the tourist service center and walking past the hotel, you will see the lake. A security guard said that this is the cruise ship terminal and you can take a boat there or walk there, which is about 4 kilometers away.

Walking on the plank road in the lake, you can see the golden light in the middle of the lake. That should be the statue of Tao Gong on Tao Gong Island.

There is a "Mirror Water" in the middle of the wooden plank road. At this moment, the water has been drained and a group of workers are cleaning the floor inside. Is this to prepare for the large flow of tourists during the Spring Festival? The lotus and lotus stone carvings inside...

From the visitor center, you can take 901 or 907 to the core scenic area to Xiao Putuo, or you can walk. Cross the wooden plank road and walk along the lake for more than 20 minutes. The road is divided into two sides. Continue to walk along the lake to the left road. You can see the entrance to Taogong Island in 5 minutes. Don't go in, keep going forward. It is 1.5 kilometers away from Xiao Putuo. There is an upward road on the side of Taogong Road. One sign points to the Park Hyatt Hotel and the other one points to the shuttle bus of Xiao Putuo Scenic Area. I don't understand what it means? The ecology is good, there are big birds and red-billed wild ducks in the lake.

The beautiful Dongqian Lake Shili Sixiang Scenic Area has a Shiwai Taoyuan Ceramics Museum, which I really like. Next to it is a large Qiqi barbecue garden with fresh and delicious ingredients. The charm of Xizi Lake and the grandeur of Taihu Lake are both very worthwhile attractions to visit, but they are not as well-known as West Lake and Taihu Lake.

If you want to take a bus, just take 901. You can take it at the East Bus Station, but the bus takes a long time on the way. The bus terminal is Xiao Putuo Scenic Area, and Taogong Island Scenic Area is at Taogong Island Station two or three stops away from the terminal~

If I was not in a hurry, I really wanted to ride around the lake and go to Xiao Putuo~~~ Unfortunately, I missed too much time in the morning. I will go there again if I have a chance. The scenery by the lake is beautiful, and the key is that there are no large crowds, so I can enjoy this tranquility!

There isn't much space to visit in the scenic area, so riding a bicycle along the lake is a good option.

If you walk eastward along the Taogong Causeway, which is similar to the Su Causeway in Hangzhou, you will reach Xiao Putuo. You can also take a small bus at your own expense of 8 yuan and go directly to the scenic spot from the gate of the scenic area.

In addition to Xiao Putuo and Fuquan Mountain, Dongqian Lake has two other places worth recommending:

First, the scenery of the section around the south lake road is also very good, especially the section from the water park to Xiangkan... Second, the wooden plank road around the lake on Huanhu East Road (Huabo Park-Shili Sixiang) is particularly suitable for cycling and watching the sunset...
