Ningbo check-in tourist attraction [拔草], a 5A scenic spot, is right in the city center and the ticket price is cheap. You can come and have a look.

We arrived shortly after it opened in the morning. There are many parking spaces in the basement. It costs 5 yuan for the first two hours and 4 yuan per hour after that.

It’s more cost-effective to buy tickets in advance than on site. A few dollars is worth it... Seniors aged 60-69 can buy tickets on site at half price.

No need to find an interpreter📢, follow the official account and there is a feature called a portable tour guide - audio guide, which is free and very useful. The park is quite large and I was a little lost at first🤔, but the map in the official account is very clear and the audio guide is also with me all the way, which is enough for me to understand the museum🤓.

After all, it is 5A, and the official website is well maintained. The cleaning lady in the park is very diligent💦, and she cleans the glass very carefully. I walked around inside for less than an hour and a half, and there were not many people in the morning.

Tianyi Pavilion is a very famous attraction in Ningbo, equivalent to the status of the Forbidden City in Beijing. The ticket is 30 yuan. You have to queue up on site~~ You can also buy tickets online, which seems to be a few yuan cheaper~~ Scan the QR code to get a free hand-drawn map~~ Ningbo's Tianyi Pavilion is worth a visit~ A model of book collection~ Interesting pavilion design~ There is also a replica of Tianyi Pavilion in the Summer Resort in Chengde~ It can be seen that Tianyi Pavilion has a high prestige~ It is highly recommended to go~ It is best to find an explanation or a tour guide to listen to the story inside~ It is very interesting~ The park can be visited in about 2 hours~

By Enjoy solitude |

You can scan the code at the entrance to buy tickets, which is very convenient, 30 yuan per person. There is a main browsing route in the park, and the signs are very clear, but I personally recommend walking around, which is a different experience (if you get dizzy, you can look at the map everywhere to determine your location). In the spring season, it is really pleasant to sit in the corridor and look at the green leaves and clear water. At the end of the tour, you will pass by a library, where you can admire the scale of the world's first private library.

It was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and was presided over by Fan Qin, the retired Right Vice Minister of the Ministry of War of the Ming Dynasty. It covers an area of 26,000 square meters and has a history of more than 400 years. It is a representative work of China's book collection culture.

A very exquisite garden, it is said to be the earliest existing private library in China. Buy tickets online in advance and you will get a lot of discounts. At the entrance is a building with a horse head wall, which is very Ming and Qing architectural style. You can get a map at the entrance. Remember to take it, because this garden looks small from the outside, but in fact, it is difficult to get lost easily. Often, you walk from this door to another small alley. Don't miss the collection of books in the several places, they are really quite interesting. The most impressive is the mahjong hall in Tianyi Pavilion, which will definitely open your eyes. There is a small pond behind the garden, the scenery is elegant and beautiful.

By Jingjing |

You can print a map of Tianyi Pavilion at the tourist reception center next to the ticket office. Don't be like me. When I wanted to get out, I found myself lost inside. Although Tianyi Pavilion is not big, the courtyards are stacked. You need to reserve more time to visit. I went there at 4 pm and didn't pay attention to the map. It was dark before I got to many places!

The Mahjong Origin Exhibition Hall in Tianyi Pavilion displays a variety of mahjong equipment, where you can see the evolution of mahjong. It is said that this is the only exhibition hall in China with mahjong as its theme.

By Run often |

The architecture and gardens in Tianyi Pavilion complement each other. In the garden leisure area centered on the East Garden, the garden art is displayed vividly. Walking in the garden, you will feel that "the courtyard is deep and the water is deep, and the courtyard is deep and deep". The garden is surrounded by rockery and shaded by ancient trees, making the whole garden look deep and quiet. The houses are carved with beams and painted with buildings, and the various reliefs on the walls are lifelike. Today, the Tianyi Pavilion scenic area includes the adjacent Qin, Wen, and Chen ancestral halls, which can better reflect the characteristics of residential houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

By Still speaking |

Ningbo Tianyi Pavilion is the living fossil of the Ming Dynasty library that makes bookworms weak at the knees. The founder, Fan Qin, was the deputy minister of the Ministry of War and a hard-core literary youth during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. He accumulated 70,000 volumes of ancient books and started the Versailles style of low-key. He played the three-piece set of fire prevention, theft prevention and moisture prevention very well - a pool was dug in front of the building and named "Tian Yisheng Water", the horse head wall was built more tightly than the anti-theft door, and the brick and wood structure prevented the smell of mold from entering. Now you can see the original copy of the "Siku Quanshu" when you visit here, there are so many rubbings in the stele forest that you can play a game of connecting the dots, the rockery in the garden looks like the Grave Robbers' Chronicles, and the koi in the pond are fat like submarines. Tourists crowded in front of the Baoshu Building to pose for photos "pretending to be cultured people", naughty children chased the free-range peacocks and left afterimages, and the cultural and creative store selling movable type printing peripherals made the hand-written account party ecstatic. The 30-yuan ticket comes with a free scent of camphor tree that has traveled through 500 years. The sound of old men playing chess in the Yuehu Park next door serves as the background music. After the tour, turn left and eat duck and dog dumplings along the Drum Tower. The knowledge intake and calories are off the charts at the same time. It is recommended to wear Hanfu to experience the one-day ancient book manager card.

Tickets: 30 yuan

By Go Mooncakes |

A 5A-level scenic spot, covering an area of 34,000 square meters. You must ask for a map at the visitor center, otherwise it is easy to get lost. The tour takes 1.5-2 hours, and the ticket is only 30 yuan, which is great value~ Tianyi Pavilion Museum is famous for its library, but it is actually a Jiangnan garden, with rockery, ponds, pavilions, stele forests, etc., as well as a sedan chair exhibition hall, folk exhibition, mahjong museum, etc.~ Interesting check-in points in the East Garden: lions and cute tiger statues sticking out their tongues. Ninghui Hall in Tianyi Pavilion has the Shenlong version of "Lanting Preface" from the Ming Dynasty, which is a copy of Wang Xizhi's original work by Tang Dynasty calligrapher Feng Chengsu. The first page of the copy has the two words "Shenlong", so it is called the Shenlong version. This is the "ancestor" stone of all "Shenlong" Lanting copies.

There is free luggage storage.

It is Ningbo’s city card and cannot be replaced by other cities.

It is the highlight of every tourist's trip to Ningbo.

To some extent, it has surpassed the limitations of Ningbo City and become a symbol of China's book collecting culture.

When you come to Ningbo, you must visit the famous library, Tianyi Pavilion. When we arrived, it was drizzling, which was very suitable for the scenery of the Jiangnan courtyard. What kind of book lovers could build such a fine book collection environment for these precious books in that era, with all kinds of details taken into consideration. While hiding from the rain, we stopped in a courtyard of Tianyi Pavilion to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the Jiangnan courtyard. The rockery of various shapes contains various meanings, and it expresses the vision and hope of the former owner for his family.

By A hornet's nest |

Tianyi Pavilion is to Ningbo what the Forbidden City is to Beijing. It is a must-see in Ningbo. There is an ancient saying that "Heaven gives birth to water". Fire is the biggest disaster for a library, and "Heaven gives birth to water", which means that water can overcome fire, so it is named "Tianyi Pavilion". Its owner is Fan Qin, the Minister of War in the Ming Dynasty, which is equivalent to the current Deputy Minister of Defense (the Minister is the Minister). The mansion of a senior official is naturally large and the decoration is extraordinary, but this is not important. What we have to remember is that Tianyi Pavilion is the earliest existing private library in China. At its peak, it had a collection of more than 70,000 volumes. It is also the oldest existing library in Asia and one of the three earliest family libraries in the world. Today, Tianyi Pavilion, which has a history of more than 400 years, has become a museum, implying that Ningbo is a city of books and a cultural capital with a long history and rich culture.

By Alamuhan |

Tianyi Pavilion is the oldest existing library in China and one of the three oldest family libraries in the world. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Fan Qin, the right assistant minister of the Ministry of War, built Tianyi Pavilion, which has a history of about 460 years. Although it has experienced several disturbances in later generations, such as the donation of books for the compilation of the Siku Quanshu, the looting by the British army during the Opium War, the theft by the Taiping Army, and the bombing of the Commercial Press when Zhang Yuanji redeemed the stolen books, the books have been damaged many times, but under the care of countless people, even if they were moved and hidden during the Anti-Japanese War, a large number of precious ancient books, documents, calligraphy and paintings, and antiques are still preserved to this day, which can be said to be a great contribution to future generations.

At the same time, this is not only a library, but also a group of ancient buildings and private gardens, with the function of a museum. Some of the East Garden and South Garden areas were built later, some were moved here from other places, and some surrounding buildings were included in the Tianyi Pavilion area. The original Tianyi Pavilion should only have Baoshu Building, Sima House, Dongming Thatched Cottage and other areas. However, the new building is consistent with the old residence in style and complements each other. In addition, the exhibition of cultural relics such as Jin bricks and inscriptions has been added, which also adds a lot of color to Tianyi Pavilion.

“Books contain the past and present, and Hong Kong connects the world”

Ningbo is a prosperous place with the oldest library in Asia, Tianyi Pavilion. It was built between the 40th and 45th years of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1561-1566) by Fan Qin, the retired Right Vice Minister of the Ministry of War of the Ming Dynasty. It covers an area of 26,000 square meters and has a history of more than 400 years. It is a second-batch national key cultural relic protection unit and the ticket price is 30 yuan.

During the development of Tianyi Pavilion, several representative book collection buildings, such as Zunjing Pavilion, Baojing Pavilion and Shuibei Pavilion, were moved one after another, thus developing from single-unit protection to group protection, and becoming the book city with the richest display of ancient Chinese folk book collection culture. Stone tablets, stone pavilions, stone horses, stone tigers and iron cows were also dotted in the park, especially the Qin Family Branch Temple was assigned to Tianyi Pavilion, which expanded the area of Tianyi Pavilion, extended and enriched the scope of book collection culture, and provided physical materials for the study of calligraphy, local history, stone carvings, stone structures and residential buildings in eastern Zhejiang.

"The double bridges stretch out, and the pavilion on the horizon is a fairyland. Looking at the moon from the balcony brings you a close friend, and the fragrance of the flute and reed pipes is mixed with the aroma of the wine."

Looking into the pavilion from afar, the Wanjuan Tower is filled with the fragrance of books, the willows in the Qianjinzhai are swaying in the wind, the sun is setting over the Baie Pond, and the sun is rising again over the Yunzai Tower.

You must visit Tianyi Pavilion when you come to Ningbo. Ningbo's city slogan: Books from ancient times to the present, ports connect the world. The scenic area is very clean and the environment is good. You can walk around the ancient roads to visit the quaint buildings, integrate into them, and experience the life of ancient literati. There are several museums inside. What's interesting is that the origin of ancient mahjong originated in Ningbo. Hahahaha, I have been learning mahjong with my grandmother since I was 3 years old, and I am still paying tuition fees. I like the wisdom of the people of Zhejiang! ! ! There are not many people, so you can take some beautiful photos~~~~~

I know Tianyi Pavilion from Yu Qiuyu's essay "Wind and Rain Tianyi Pavilion", so I think it has a sense of history. When I arrived in Ningbo, the only famous attraction I thought of was this one. I had to go there. As a result, I went too late and it was closed. I could only look at the outside. The building is quaint. Tianyi Pavilion is the earliest existing private library in China, the oldest existing library in Asia and one of the three earliest family libraries in the world. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and contains nearly 300,000 volumes of various ancient books.

By Ordinary life |

Tianyi Pavilion, located on Tianyi Street on the west side of Yuehu Lake in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China, is the oldest existing private library in China.

Tianyi Pavilion was built in 1561 under the supervision of Fan Qin, the right assistant minister of the Ministry of War. Fan Qin liked to collect ancient books all his life, and later he obtained the remaining books from the Wanjuanlou of the Li family in Yin County, which had more than 70,000 volumes of books, among which local chronicles and records of successful candidates in imperial examinations were the most rare. In 1772 AD (the 37th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign), an imperial decree was issued to start compiling the Complete Library in Four Treasures. Fan Maozhu, the eighth-generation grandson of Fan Qin, presented 638 books from his collection, so Emperor Qianlong ordered the surveying of the house and bookcase styles of Tianyi Pavilion, and built the famous "seven pavilions in the north and south" to store the seven sets of the Complete Library in Four Treasures compiled. Tianyi Pavilion has since become famous throughout the country. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, scholars have been proud to be able to read in this building.

Fengyutian Pavilion houses all the books in the world.

By Yu |

Not bad, but it's too hot in summer. ~( ̄▽ ̄~)~

By Sika |

It was a sultry noon, so there were not many tourists. As soon as I entered this typical Jiangnan garden, I felt a hint of coolness.

Not far from the gate is the North Library, a place where books are stored. The temperature inside is low and dry, and some of the yellow paper has been damaged. The books there are in rolls. Books can only be viewed, not touched.

Besides Tianyi Pavilion, the most famous thing in Ningbo is the "Wangong sedan chair". As the name suggests, it took 10,000 man-hours to complete this sedan chair. It needs 8 people to carry it, and is also called the "Eight-Lifted Sedan Chair". It is the most luxurious sedan chair in existence, with 250 figures carved on it. There are countless flowers, birds, insects and animals. From a distance, it looks magnificent and golden, like a miniature palace, but not a single nail was used. Amazing!

Another stage that left a deep impression on me was a small and exquisite stage. Its roof was called a chicken cage roof, which was a "natural microphone" that amplified the sound. When watching a play, there were rules: the elders of the clan sat in the front, and the younger women sat on both sides.

We visited for about 1.5 hours

By Sarah is always on the road |

The library on the top floor of Tianyi Pavilion has nearly 300,000 volumes of books, especially the local chronicles of the Ming Dynasty and the imperial examination records. It is a pity that the books are not open to tourists. I hope that one day it can function as a library. However, as a book lover, I am satisfied to visit this oldest library in Asia. There is an automatic ticket machine at the entrance, and the ticket price is 30 yuan. The Tianyi Pond in front of the building is the same as the Yuehu Lake next to it, which is mainly used for fire prevention.

Although it is called an ancient library, Tianyi Pavilion is more like a mansion garden, which houses a large collection of calligraphy, paintings, inscriptions, etc.

By 11 |

The Tianyi Pavilion was introduced online to open at 8:00, but it didn't open until 8:30, which wasted half an hour. It is definitely wise to go to Tianyi Pavilion early in the morning, because there will be more people later, and most of them are tour groups, holding loudspeakers to explain, which is very distracting. I won't go into detail about the historical background here, you can spend 3 or 4 hours to walk around and take your time.

Tips: Be sure to take anti-mosquito measures when visiting Tianyi Pavilion in summer, as the mosquitoes here are very dangerous.

By Yanyan Wu |

The yard is very large, and in April the whole garden is filled with the fragrance of the camphor trees.

By Traveling hand in hand |

It is a great scenic spot. You can download the APP-Tianyi Pavilion Museum and follow the route inside while visiting and listening to the explanations. It is really a great experience.

By Curious Cat Zhao Zhao |

Today's Tianyi Pavilion Museum includes a book collection and cultural area, a garden leisure area, and an exhibition area. After listening to the volunteers' explanation, I learned that in addition to the Fan family's building, many other local buildings in Ningbo were actually moved here to form a comprehensive Ningbo Architectural Museum.

No wonder the layout of the entire garden seemed complicated when I looked at the map, and it felt like I had to go back and forth when I actually visited. However, the concept of integrated protection and the craftsmanship of the relocation and reconstruction decades ago are still admirable.

The buildings here have not been renovated in any special way, and the mottled traces of time cannot hide their former glory. The bonsai in the yard are mostly iron trees, pines and cypresses, which also have a sense of calmness after years. It is a good place to reminisce about the past without any noise or noise, and there are occasional explanations to guide the group through.

You can also sit on the floor and watch a short movie about Emperor Qianlong's book collection and the Tianyi Pavilion. The screening room has three sides with a super-large-format effect. The movie is only eight minutes long and should not be missed.

Tianyi Pavilion is probably the most important attraction in Ningbo. As the oldest existing private library in China, the oldest existing library in Asia, and one of the three oldest family libraries in the world, Tianyi Pavilion is worth a visit for all tourists visiting Ningbo.

Today, Ningbo has renovated Tianyi Pavilion and several old buildings around it and set up a museum. In addition to visiting the Tianyi Pavilion Library, you can also see many displays of Ningbo's local culture, such as Ningbo Wangong sedan chairs, various types of mahjong, celebrity calligraphy and paintings, etc. There are many things to see. If you visit here carefully, it will take at least two hours.

By China-TravelNote users |

There are free maps available at the entrance of Tianyi Pavilion Scenic Area, and audio guides can be downloaded. The environment is elegant, the architecture is simple, and there are pavilions, towers, mountains and water, which are very characteristic of Jiangnan gardens. Among them, Feng Chengsu's copy of the Shenlong version of "Lanting Preface" and the architecture of Zunjing Pavilion are the most bright spots. There are many things to see in Tianyi Pavilion, including architecture, gardens, cultural relics, book collections, inscriptions, culture, history, customs, ancient trees, couplets, etc. People who stay in the city for a long time always want to find a quiet place to empty themselves, find the meaning of life itself in a quiet place, and discover the beauty of the details in a quiet place. Tianyi Pavilion is undoubtedly such a place.

Ningbo Drum Tower, Yuehu Park, Tianyi Pavilion, Old Bund and other classics are very close. The highlight is here. As a Yue Opera fan, how can I not know my Mao's "The House of Books" and Tianyi Pavilion? I still remember the poem "There are guests with blue eyes, no one asks about the fallen flowers, the warm wind smokes the fine grass, and the cool moon shines on the clear sand." So, you must go to Tianyi Pavilion! ! ! In fact, the real part of Tianyi Pavilion is only Tianyi Pavilion and the pond in front. The surrounding second-generation library, South Garden, East Garden, and Zhuangyuan Hall were all built later and incorporated into the Tianyi Pavilion scenic area. The electronic explanation in the scenic area is in place, and there is a WeChat explanation at each node. You can scan the code to understand the story behind it. There is a smart exhibition hall in the south, where you can watch the story of Tianyi Pavilion and Emperor Qianlong for free, as well as some small games.

The ticket price is 30 yuan, but I feel like a museum like this should be free.

Entering from the west gate, the North Library is on the north side. There is glass separating the library and you can see the ancient books preserved inside.

After Dongming Thatched Cottage, you will reach Tianyi Pavilion. I always thought that Tianyi Pavilion was a big pavilion, but it was actually just a one-story house with only one statue inside. It was dark and there was nothing to see. The ancient books had naturally been protected.

Qianjinzhai got its name because its director collected a thousand Jin bricks. It displays many ancient books and bricks, but the bricks are from the Ming Dynasty.

There is also a mahjong origin museum - Dehetang, but the mahjong inside is really ordinary. I saw a set of Water Margin mahjong, a set made of copper, and foreign mahjong with Arabic numerals on them. Foreigners can't understand the Chinese numbers one, two, and three.

Overall, the route feels a bit messy and you have to backtrack, but there are also many houses.

My first impression of Ningbo was the camphor trees, which were taller than those in Suzhou but not as majestic as those in West Lake. I went to the Tianyi Pavilion Library to have a look. It was a place with culture, and the books that were robbed were heartbreaking. The garden was very large, and the tall camphor trees plus the coolness after the rain made it feel quiet and peaceful. However, the garden design was tasteless, stiff, and full of piled-up feeling, and the camellia planted there withered miserably.

When I came to Ningbo, the only place that attracted me was Tianyi Pavilion. "Ten thousand volumes of poetry and books come around, and I can hide in a beautiful garden." Ningbo Tianyi Pavilion is the oldest existing library in my country, the oldest existing library in Asia, and one of the three oldest existing family libraries in the world. It is a city card of Ningbo, carrying the history and culture of Ningbo, so some people say: If you don't visit Tianyi Pavilion when you come to Ningbo, it means you haven't come to Ningbo.

Tianyi Pavilion, the private library of Fan Qin, the Right Attendant of the Ministry of War in the Ming Dynasty, has been a dream-like but unattainable place for scholars for more than 400 years. It was not until modern times that it began to attract attention again, and one person who must be mentioned is Yu Qiuyu.

Yu Qiuyu, a Ningbo native, wrote an article titled "Tianyi Pavilion in the Wind and Rain", describing the Tianyi Pavilion in his mind from the perspective of a scholar and a hometown person who loves reading. "Although it is just a library, it has actually become an extremely difficult and extremely tragic cultural miracle." Through his perspective, we can feel the history and vicissitudes that the private library that has stood for 400 years has experienced.

The map is free, the WIFI is free, and all I need is a free ticket.

The library was built in 1566, with a history of more than 450 years. It has never experienced a fire since its establishment. This is due to two reasons: first, it is well designed and has strict rules. Second, it has a good name, Tianyi Pavilion.

There is a "Tianyi Pond" in front of the building, where water is drawn into the pond to store water for fire prevention. The water is running water, connected to the Moon Lake, which can ensure that the water will never dry up.

Tianyi Pavilion was originally a library. Due to various reasons, we can no longer see the various books. It is a pity.

Located on the west bank of Yuehu Lake in Ningbo, it is the oldest existing private library in my country. Tianyi Pavilion was built by Fan Qin, a retired official during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1561-1566). Ancient books and desks are placed in the building, and the rich fragrance of books is everywhere.

The 4th stop of the 2018 Spring Festival self-driving tour in Ningbo. The previous stops were: Jiang's Former Residence, Xuedou Mountain, and Old Bund (barely counted as one stop). The tickets I bought on Fliggy are the cheapest in the world. Print a map next to the ticket purchase window and follow the decimal marks to tour. Scan the QR code to listen to the commentary.

When I got up in the morning, it was snowing heavily outside the window. Carrying my camera, I walked from the youth hostel where I was staying through Yuehu Park to Tianyi Pavilion.

The courtyard is so deep and deep. As the oldest private museum in Asia, we cannot open the books inside.

However, as long as there is heavy snow in the south of the Yangtze River, even the most ordinary scenery will be exceptionally enchanting.

After strolling around for more than an hour, we went back to take a shower and left Ningbo. It was snowing heavily, and the hundreds of years of story of the Fan family was taken over by the government for telling.

I went there again the next day. Although it was raining heavily, it was a different kind of place. It was a place where you could calm down and enjoy it. It should be the most recommended place in my entire trip to downtown Ningbo.

I personally think it is the most worthwhile attraction in Ningbo, with beautiful scenery.

Ningbo's No. 1 attraction. A private library from the Ming Dynasty, well preserved, with many historical allusions and a strong cultural atmosphere.

Tianyi Pavilion is located in the downtown area of Ningbo. However, it is also a quiet place in the bustling city. It used to be a private library of considerable size. Its layout and construction are very exquisite. After visiting, you can watch the video about Tianyi Pavilion.

After reading the introduction, I originally thought it was a small attraction with nothing to see, especially at the end of November. However, it exceeded my expectations. It was larger than I imagined. The facilities were complete, the map was clear, free maps were provided at the entrance, and there were voice guides on the WeChat public account.

It doesn't matter whether Fan Qin was the deputy minister of defense, because there have been so many ministers since ancient times. It is remarkable that he left behind the Tianyi Pavilion, because it is rare. Just like it doesn't matter whether Zhang Zhongjing was the governor of Changsha, because there have been so many governors since ancient times. But leaving behind a book "Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases" has benefited so many people in later generations, and his contribution is immeasurable! Although Fan Qin led the army, he loved books so much, which is really rare!

"The Tianyi Pavilion, in the wind and rain, contains all the books in the world." I originally thought that the "Tianyi Pavilion" was named after the owner of the pavilion, who was confident and dared to call himself "the best in the world" (accidentally exposing the fact that he was uneducated). In fact, he was based on the theory of "Heaven gives birth to water" in the Book of Changes, and water overcomes fire. It seems that traveling really increases knowledge. It is said that Tianyi Pavilion, together with the ten famous Chinese historical and cultural towers, including Tengwang Pavilion in Jiangxi, Yueyang Tower in Hunan, Yellow Crane Tower in Hubei, Guanque Tower in Shanxi, Penglai Pavilion in Shandong, Daguan Tower in Kunming, Yuejiang Tower in Nanjing, Tianxin Pavilion in Changsha, and Bell and Drum Tower in Xi'an, have jointly applied for the United Nations' tangible cultural heritage, but it has not been successful yet.

Ningbo attractions worth visiting, share some pictures for everyone to see

Tianyi Pavilion is located in the urban area of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province.

Tianyi Pavilion is the oldest existing private library in China, the oldest library in Asia and one of the three oldest family libraries in the world. I personally think that Tianyi Pavilion in Ningbo is a must-see attraction. Visiting Tianyi Pavilion can help you better understand the history of Ningbo, the inheritance of Chinese culture, the thickness of culture and the long history. You will really sigh at the profoundness of Chinese culture. The ticket is 30 yuan, not expensive, and it is worth a visit.

Ningbo's most famous attraction, China's most famous and oldest existing private library. It's quite large inside, with courtyards within courtyards, a bit like a maze.

By South City |

The ticket price is only 27 yuan, which is really worth it. It is a perfect combination of culture and gardens, and it feels even better than the Suzhou Gardens!

The ancient stage is very spectacular with a gilded interior ceiling

The rich family is full of style

It is said that four families lived here together at that time.

Although many years have passed, the historical heritage remains.

The eight-man sedan chair is also really beautiful.

The moss on the tiles, the spider webs on the wood edges, the fungi beside the century-old trees, and the reptiles that occasionally cross your feet all look so cute; sit quietly on the wet stone bench, and put your arm around the bronze statue outside the mahjong hall, without having to worry about the "care" of various eyes in reality; watch the red carp, green carp and fish in the water of East Lake, smell the fragrance of the soil in the century-old garden, listen to the old Ningbo people tell the court stories in the soft Wu dialect, and recall the romantic origin of the eight-man sedan chair; you can also talk with the thousands of books in the North Library, and breathe the unique herbal aroma of the library, which has been a magic weapon for preserving ancient books for hundreds of years. It is highly recommended! ! !

Tianyi Pavilion is the oldest existing private library in China. The museum has an elegant environment, exquisite gardens, simple architecture, and rich local characteristics. It is worth a visit.

Overall it's OK, but some places are not allowed to be seen. Buy tickets one day in advance and park in the underground garage of the air-raid shelter.
