Yaxiaku

崖下库

Located 2.5 kilometers northwest of Xiaoruokou, Yaxiaku is a valley 1 kilometer long and over 30 meters wide, flanked by steep cliffs over 300 meters high, with only a sliver of blue sky visible. Visitors here feel as if they are in a skyscraper alley, with dark cliffs looming on either side. Sunlight only breaks through for a few minutes at midday in summer.
Entering the cliffside reservoir, one is immediately faced with a thousand-foot-high sheer cliff, seemingly unable to move forward. Looking up, one sees the shy waterfall on the right, a white silk thread, with only a tiny section visible, rising about 70 to 80 meters above the cliff. Stone steps, about 20 meters high, have been carved into the steep cliff face, allowing the brave to climb up, holding onto the railing, to a gap on the left side of the cliff. From the gap, a massive waterfall crashes down in front of them, a chilling breeze shrouding the rain.
Below lies a pool, about 100 square meters wide, its floor paved with pebbles and surrounded by steep cliffs. Standing there feels like falling into a deep well. During the rainy season, a waterfall covers the entire surface of the pool, making it daunting and impossible to approach.

Yaxiaku is located in the Daruoyan Scenic Area, one of the seven scenic areas along the Nanxi River. The sheer cliffs are thousands of feet high and offer breathtaking scenery. The hiking trails, suspended plank roads, cable bridges, and glass observation decks built atop the 100-meter cliff offer a truly unique experience. Standing atop the cliff, the Lingyun Pavilion offers a commanding view of the abyss on three sides. From this vantage point, one can overlook the intersecting mountain paths and canyons, and the rolling hills in the distance create a breathtaking and tranquil experience.

The Yaxiaku Scenic Area is the highlight of the Daruoyan Scenic Area. Admission is 50 yuan, with half-price admission for those over 60, and free admission for military personnel and retirees. The mountain formations here are unique, with each peak spherical. Over 200 meters above the ground, a suspended plank road and glass observation deck have been built on the mountainside. A suspension bridge has also been constructed. Climbing hundreds of steps and descending along the circular plank road, the scenery changes dramatically, with varying heights and perspectives. The mountain also boasts several waterfalls, truly reflecting the vastness of the water. Mountain cleaners told us that if you wait patiently around 3 p.m., you can see a rainbow at the foot of the waterfall. At 2:45 p.m., the sunlight slanted at a perfect angle, and a rainbow actually appeared at the foot of the waterfall. On the way down, a large rock became lodged in a crevice, creating a path through it. They've given this rock the name "Rice Bucket Rock."

Yanxiaku: Clear waters wind through a secluded valley, while cascading waterfalls hang like silk across the river. Every step along the cliff face reveals a breathtaking scene, with a gentle breeze and the sound of gurgling water creating a relaxing and soothing experience. Exploring this secret area is like stepping into a secluded paradise, where the rhythm of nature cleanses the soul.

I remember that Yaxiaku should be a village within the Nanxi River.

It rained heavily yesterday and the waterfall was very big. Today the sun is shining brightly. I thought it would be very hot at first, but fortunately, there are shade trees along the way and it is very cool. It is worth going in this season. There are not many people in the niche tourism, so you can avoid the attractions during the May Day tourist peak season.

A good place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. In April, when everything is revived, walk into the forest trails in the scenic area and the air is filled with the fragrance of various plants and flowers.

This is a small scenic spot on the Nanxi River. Tickets cost 50 yuan and the tour takes about two hours. The plank road and waterfall are quite nice. There are many attractions nearby, making it a good place to visit several attractions at once.

It was great, I went there during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The fiery red frost leaves and steep peaks were amazing. The mountain corridor was especially great for taking photos!

By China-TravelNote users |

Although this is a less popular attraction, the scenery is very good and the plank road is very exciting. I wanted to take pictures everywhere I went. It is no less beautiful than the Lingfeng Peak in Yandang Mountain.

The essence of the Yaxiaku Scenic Area is concentrated around the plank path that circles the cliff midway. Climb the stone steps below the cliff, circle, and return to the entrance. A suspension bridge connects you to the opposite peak. The path leads directly to a viewing pavilion, where it intersects with the path along the plank path. It's recommended to cross the bridge and then return to the path to explore the entire area.

By The sky is the limit |

The scenery is nice, but the mountain is not high enough. It takes about an hour to tour the whole area. Currently, it is only halfway up the mountain. I saw that the upper part is still under construction. I am looking forward to it.

It's worth a visit. The iron chain bridge and the glass observation deck are a bit exciting, and I felt a little nervous when I walked up. The exercise intensity is not high, and I can enjoy it in 2 hours.

The scenery is quite good. From the trail to the plank road to the suspension bridge, the planning is very good. The mountain to climb is not too high, it is worth a visit!

Hidden in the cliffs, you can listen to the roar of the waterfall and feel the coolness of the water vapor on your face; the suspended plank road has extremely steep scenery!

By June Lotus |

The Yaxiaku scenic area is nice. There were very few people when we came, and there is a glass observation deck.

By explorer |

Yaxiaku is actually a waterfall hidden deep within a sheer cliff, with three sides surrounded by stone walls and a single exit. Even when you reach it and hear the sound of the water, the waterfall remains half-hidden, while the towering cliffs and majestic peaks surrounding it are a breathtaking sight. This hidden waterfall has been given the poetic name "Shy Waterfall."

By Sea breeze boat |

For me, the Yaxiaku Scenic Area was just a glance at the entrance. I excitedly arrived at the gate, but was told that the plank road was temporarily closed for maintenance. I was depressed!

By Yearning for freedom |

This place is fun, more fun than other places in Nanxi River. The key point is that I didn’t need a ticket when I went there! Nanxi River is worth visiting! !

By Back |

The glass plank road is more thrilling than Longwantan, and the scenery is also good and worth going. Recently, there has been a conflict between local villagers and the Tourism Bureau for more than half a month, so no tickets are required. I recommend you to take the opportunity to see it.

By Dongdong |

The scenery was stunning, but exhausting. We were all in our sixties, yet we made it to the summit. It felt wonderful. All the other mountains looked small. If you just take your time, reaching the summit is easy. On the day we went, there was a dispute between the local villagers and the tourism bureau, so no entrance fee was charged, making it free. It was so few people, which was great.

By round and complete |

The main reason to visit Yaxiaku is to see the Mimosaic Waterfall, so it's crucial to visit after a period of rain, as otherwise, the waterfall would be completely dry. However, the Mimosaic Waterfall alone isn't worth the 50 yuan entrance fee, which is why the scenic area has built all those plank roads and glass observation decks. The views from these platforms are nowhere near as stunning as the Mimosaic Waterfall itself. A complete tour of the entire scenic area takes about two hours, and after seeing the Mimosaic Waterfall, the rest is just passing time.

By Ang Ang Ge |

First of all, this mountain is very majestic and dangerous, and walking on the plank road is frightening.

By Small islands |

It's really beautiful, the mountains are beautiful, the water is beautiful, the Mimosaic Falls and the glass plank road are all amazing, it's worth the ticket

By The original dream |

As a native of Yongjia, I recommend it. Li Zicheng's Hyogo has a waterfall and is very cool in the summer.

By Liu Mangtu |

I went with my family during the Spring Festival this year, and it was drizzling that day. The feeling of the mountain shrouded in mist was wonderful, though. I'd heard it was a lot of fun. The entrance fee was NT$50 per cliff entrance, but I'm not sure about combined tickets. Looking up at the plank road between the two peaks from the foot of the mountain was quite captivating, and walking on it was a bit nerve-wracking.

By You once said that you felt sad |

The mountain is steeper than you think, and you can see a big waterfall when it rains a lot.

By Why do we have to meet before we know each other? |

Although the scenery of Yaxiaku is not particularly beautiful, it is still worth a visit considering the 50 yuan ticket price.

By Mountaineering Photography |

The biggest attraction of Yaxiaku is the Mischievous Waterfall hidden deep in the steep cliff. Standing at the foot of the mountain, you can see the suspended plank road on the opposite cliff.

By Heykristina |

This is a small attraction in a large attraction. The scenery, environment and air are very good.

The valleys here are deep and winding, the cliffs are thousands of feet high, and the waterfalls are heard from far away. Although its reputation has not spread far and wide, the scenery is in no way inferior to that of famous mountains.

Visitors here feel as if they are in an alleyway amidst skyscrapers, with dark cliffs looming on either side. Sunlight only breaks for a few minutes at midday in summer, making it an ideal escape from the heat.

Upon entering Yaxiaku, one is greeted by a thousand-foot-high cliff, seemingly unable to advance. Looking up, one sees a white streak, barely visible on the right, about 70 or 80 meters high. Fortunately, stone steps about 20 meters high have been carved into the steep face, allowing the brave to climb up, leading to a gap on the left side of the cliff. Four or five steps further, a massive waterfall (Hanxiu Waterfall) suddenly appears, pouring down from the front. The wind and rain cascade, creating a chilling chill. Below lies a pool, approximately 100 square meters wide, with a pebbled floor and steep cliffs surrounding it. Standing there feels like falling into a deep well. During the rainy season, the waterfall covers the entire surface of the pool, making it intimidating and preventing visitors from approaching. Yaxiaku, with its deep valleys and long gorges, and overlapping cliffs, is both treacherous and majestic, yet tranquil and beautiful. Numerous scenic attractions await. At the entrance to Yaxiaku, a large rock jutting from the roadside resembles a figure sitting cross-legged, with a kind smile on its face. It is known as the "Welcoming Immortal." To the left of Yaxia Reservoir lies a secluded canyon, approximately 200 meters long and nearly 20 meters wide, known as the "Immortal Stream." On the mountainside to the left of Yaxia Reservoir stands a rock approximately 10 meters square, known as the "Owl Rock." 100 meters above Owl Rock stands a large rectangular boulder, supported by a short, thick stone pillar resembling a sedan chair, earning it the name "Immortal Carrying a Sedan Chair."

Yaxiaku: Deep valleys and long gorges, with towering cliffs, offer a precipitous and majestic spectacle, a tranquil and elegant beauty, and a world of its own, each mountain and valley a unique experience, a true gift of creation. The winding plank roads along the steep cliffs, the cloud-level viewing platform where you can overlook all the other mountains, and the narrow cable bridge in the sky are all truly breathtaking.

Tickets: 50 yuan, 45 yuan on Tongcheng.com (book two hours in advance to avoid trouble)

Note: The tickets booked on Tongcheng.com are all electronically printed on a piece of paper, not the official tickets for the scenic spot, so those who like to collect tickets should pay attention~~

Transportation: It is about 15 kilometers away from Lion Rock. The first half is easier to drive on, as it is all asphalt roads. The cobblestone road at the back is a bit narrow. The last few hundred meters of the cobblestone road is very narrow and difficult to pass. Traffic jams are common during holidays.

Starting from Nanweiyi Village in Shiziyan, turn left onto S41, drive 3.1 kilometers along S41, turn left onto S41 South Loop (a newly built asphalt road with a traffic light), drive 4.4 kilometers, pass Nanxi Tunnel, and after about 310 meters past Dadong Village, turn right (there is a scenic spot sign at the right turn intersection) and enter Jiuhuang Line (stone road) and drive 1.3 kilometers. Turn right again (a narrower stone road) and drive 450 meters to arrive.

Parking: 5 yuan (the parking lot in the scenic area is not very large, so friends who drive on holidays should be careful~~)

Notes:

1. After entering the Yaxiaku Scenic Area, there are two forked roads. The left one leads to the Xiumi Waterfall. Go there first and then take the right road up the mountain.

2. The local eggs at the foot of the mountain taste good~~Three for five yuan, not very expensive.

3. There are many toilets in the scenic area and they are clean ^-^

4. After going up the mountain, go to the glass observation deck first, then go to the suspension bridge to play, then do not cross the suspension bridge, continue along the cliff, and do not go up the fork in the mountain road. Go straight down the mountain and you can see the waterfall~~ Continue along the uphill road on the left side of the waterfall, and you will not miss any attractions.

5. The way down the mountain is on the side of the toilet near the rest corridor at the top of the mountain.

I went to climb the cliff to the lower library. Although I was a little disappointed, the scenery of this place is still good. Remember, this place is suitable for staying and slowly appreciating it.

By Catch the tail of the wind |

Follow the plank road and climb to the glass observation deck high up, where the mountains and rivers are at your feet. At dusk, smoke curls from the distant villages, creating a peaceful and pastoral scene.

By Ximuzi 1225 |

It's a good experience. The plank road is very interesting. The mountain foliage is beautiful. Not many people there. I bought tickets online for 30 yuan each. It was the dry season, so the waterfall dried up. I heard it's incredibly large during the rainy season.

By Cold wind and snow |

The natural scenery is pleasant and the mountains are shaded by green trees. It is a good place to escape the summer heat. You need to buy a ticket to enter.

By wyz |

It's near the Daluoshui Scenic Area. You need to transfer to get there, but it's still worth a visit.

When I was hesitating about which attraction to go to next at Jiuji Shimentai, several staff members there recommended Yaxiaku.

Yaxiaku is a bonsai in the rocks, a 1-kilometer mountain stream, three stone walls, and one exit. People climb up the stairs through the gaps.

By Cat walking on colorful clouds |

Yaxiaku (Ticket: 50 yuan/person) is a bonsai-like structure nestled in the rock, nestled like a virgin, serenely nestled within the cliffs. It's truly unbelievable how nature's workmanship unfolds. Yaxiaku is a waterfall hidden deep within a sheer cliff, surrounded by three stone walls and a single outlet. Even with the sound of water, the waterfall remains half-hidden. This captivating seclusion earns it the name "Shy Waterfall." Unfortunately, we visited during the rainy season, so the waterfall was even less visible. The towering cliffs and majestic peaks surrounding it already reminded me of the majestic force of the water once it forms, its unbridled, unstoppable momentum captivating my imagination! Absolutely stunning!

By ruby |

The ticket is 50 yuan. Since the road to the Mimosaic Waterfall is under construction, we can only take another road. Since it is not the rainy season, there is no stream flowing down the mountain. There is a Bucket Rock between the two mountains. It is a bit tiring to go up the mountain. When we were at the Bucket Rock, the three of us roared and sang the Smurfs and various bold girl songs, all for encouragement. People who don’t exercise really suffer. The aunties who were shopping were happy to see us, maybe it helped to relieve their boredom. Then we went to check the sanitation in one go, and there was a toilet. Then we walked away along the plank road beside the mountain road.

By Windy Boat |

The Yaxia Reservoir Scenic Area is dominated by mountain scenery. Due to the recent lack of rain, the water volume of several waterfalls is small, almost like tears. The scenery is still beautiful, with a touch of Yandang Mountain. However, the climb is quite tiring, and I was sweating profusely.

I feel that the style of the Yaxiaku Mountain scenery is similar to that of Yandang Mountain.

By Aegean Sea |

The scenic area is sparsely populated, with fresh air and a beautiful environment. We walked along secluded paths, crossed stone arch bridges, and passed by vivid stone sculptures of frogs questioning the heavens, snakes and rats fighting, and the Welcoming Fairy. Next, we climbed the 300 or so steps up to Lingyun Pavilion. Looking down, we were treated to a breathtaking panorama of the mountain below. Looking up, the skybridge and observation deck were truly breathtaking.

Continuing up, we reached the Sedan Chair Rock and the Couple Peak. The rock formations were both striking and lifelike, and we realized we had passed beneath the rock. Next came the parallel plank road, which crossed a 150-meter cliff and stretched for 800 meters. We continued along the road until we reached a viewing platform, offering a panoramic view of the Nanxi River, the nearby mountains, and the distant waters. Not far from the plank road was a cable bridge. Walking across it, we gazed down at the dark hues of the kukui below, under the blue sky.

After crossing the iron chain bridge, we walked down the steps and came to the Mimosaic Waterfall. The waterfall is about 100 meters high, but unfortunately there is only a trickle, giving a feeling of half-covering the face with a pipa. The description of Mimosaic Waterfall is indeed quite appropriate.

We climbed the steps to the trestle bridge and continued along it. It was a quiet journey, with only the three of us on it. Without the hustle and bustle of the city, our worries dared not disturb us. The scenery, laughter, and song kept us company. Passing the Bowing Stone, we could only bow our heads, or else we would suffer. After a short rest in the pavilion at the end of the plank road, we descended the mountain. After about 30 minutes, we left the scenic area. By then, it was gradually darkening, and we boarded the car to return the same way.

Since I came here from Yandang Mountain, I didn't visit Yaxiaku and Shimentai. The scenery at Yaxiaku is actually very similar to that of Yandang Mountain, both featuring volcanic rock structures. It has a few more man-made attractions, such as a cable bridge and a plank road. The most beautiful natural scenery is Hanxiu Waterfall. It hadn't rained in days when I visited, so Hanxiu Waterfall wasn't particularly impressive. Therefore, if you've already been to Yandang Mountain, this attraction is a good way to make up for the missed opportunity.

By Mini West |

You can buy a combined ticket for Yaxiaku (including Yaxiaku, Twelve Peaks, Shimen Terrace, and Taogong Cave) for NT$100, or a separate ticket for NT$50. The guidebook says the combined ticket is valid only on the same day. We weren't particularly interested in the physically demanding Twelve Peaks and the incense-burning experience at Taogong Cave, so we bought separate tickets. Aside from us and the administrator, we didn't see a single person in the entire Yaxiaku area. Since we had to return in the afternoon, we didn't get to walk the plank path at Yaxiaku. It's a real shame. If you want to walk the plank path, leave an hour and a half earlier.

One of the highlights of Yaxiaku is the Mimosaic Waterfall, which is best viewed during the rainy season. Some netizens saw flash floods, but what I saw was just a misty rain. I went to the Mimosaic Waterfall on the 16th, and there had been several brief bursts of heavy rainfall on the afternoon of the 14th, so I expected some water to be visible. Later, I'll mention Shimentai, which was visited during the same period. Because there's a reservoir upstream, the water volume is larger than at Yaxiaku. Therefore, I'm less recommending Yaxiaku during the dry season. The entire scenic area was completely dry, and even the area under the bridge was dry. It was a bit disappointing. However, the mountain remains beautiful.

Arriving at the cable bridge, we took a deep breath and began crossing. Despite its size, the bridge wobbled even with two people on board, making it unsuitable for those with acrophobia. After crossing the bridge, we found a clear path leading up a clean stone staircase lined with red plants, striking the eye in the mist. Looking up at the mist-shrouded mountaintop, we saw a temple-like structure. Deciding it was a viewing platform with a stunning view, we encouraged our mother to charge up.

When we got to the building, we saw a wooden board with two cartoon characters, a man and a woman, and I almost fainted. Hiking in foggy weather is a disaster! Since we were there, we made use of it. Fortunately, it was relatively clean inside, and it was worth it for my mother and I to come all the way here.

At the entrance to the scenic area, an old woman selling local specialties asked for the price of dried sweet potatoes. She said 5 yuan per jin (approximately 100g). I bargained down to 4 yuan, which was significantly cheaper than the 15 yuan per jin we'd paid yesterday at Lion Rock. So, I bought 5 jin (approximately 100g). Since dried sweet potatoes were cheap, I assumed all local specialties were the same. They were mostly dried exotic plants. I barely understood the woman, but she said they were for tea, which clears heat and detoxifies. I discovered the problem when I checked out. The woman had said 15 yuan per jin (approximately 100g), but after some bargaining, it was 14 yuan per jin (approximately 100g). A word of caution for shoppers: in Wenzhou dialect, the numbers 4 and 10 are not distinguishable, just like the tongue twister we used to play as kids: "Four is four, ten is ten." After a while of gesturing with the woman, I couldn't quite get her meaning, and she also got mine. As a result, I ended up buying two jin (approximately 100g) of dried sweet potatoes for 14 yuan each. It was a terrible deal, and they weren't very tasty. The dried sweet potatoes were so cheap, and the other plants used for tea weren't much cheaper either. I was sold out.

There's a viewing pavilion halfway up the mountain. Honestly, the view wasn't great, but during the downpour, it served as a haven for my mother and me to rest and recharge. After a short rest, seeing the downpour wasn't letting up, we decided to keep going.

After climbing about 300 meters of stone steps, we finally reached the viewing path. The terrain was flat at this point, so it didn't require much physical effort. Therefore, Yaxiaku is a scenic spot suitable for men, women, young and old. The physical requirements are not high. It's a little hard at the beginning, but the beautiful scenery will reward you later.

The scenic plank road was similar to the one in Yuanjiajie, even the scenery was pretty much the same; the mountains in Zhejiang are still very beautiful. Walking on the plank road didn't feel as scary as the climb up there, but there were many mini waterfalls along the way, created by the heavy rain, which soaked my shoes and pants.

I reached the glass observation deck, but didn't dare go up. I took a few photos and continued on. When I reached the cable bridge, I realized I could walk forward instead of crossing it, so I decided not to cross it and take in the scenery. Unfortunately, not long into my walk, I heard another loud crash of water. Looking up, I saw another massive waterfall looming before me. To continue, I had to pass the anchor steps in front of the waterfall. Feeling the danger of being swept away by the flood, I gave up and returned to the cable bridge.

The entire scenic area is like a huge sauna pool, with clouds and mist rising

On the way up the mountain, I caught a glimpse of the suspended cable bridge, and I finally understood what the tourists at the scenic area were talking about. The bridge here is similar to those at Daming Mountain and Yuanjiajie, but amidst the eerie atmosphere of fog and heavy rain, it seemed particularly terrifying. I told my mother to turn back once we reached the bridge.

Yaxiaku 50 yuan recommendation index: 100 ——

Excellent value for money, a must-see destination with convenient transportation. The scenic area features mountain views and waterfalls, and the scenery is sparsely populated and beautiful. On rainy days, the waterfalls can be quite impressive, even terrifying. If you need to hike, consider this carefully if you're traveling with children or the elderly.

The ticket to Yaxiaku is also 50 yuan, but it is basically a waste of money. Since it is the dry season, the originally spectacular waterfall has become very small, and all that is left is climbing up the mountain... The glass observation deck and the iron chain bridge on the cliff have become the main attraction.

On the way to Yaxiaku, we passed the Nanxi River Visitor Center. The scenery on both sides of the river was beautiful. There were many tourists on both sides of the Yuzhang Bridge, barbecuing, picnicking, and taking rest. Some people also took wedding photos.

After the rain, the Yaxia Reservoir was shrouded in mist, which was really picturesque. However, when I went there it was not the rainy season, so there was not much water in the reservoir, and the waterfall was not as beautiful as described in the travel guide.

The entrance fee to the Yaxiaku Scenic Area is 50 yuan, and you can buy a combined ticket for Taogong Cave, Shimen Terrace, and the Twelve Peaks for 100 yuan. We bought the combined ticket and regretted it. The scenery at Yaxiaku is nice, but the climb is quite strenuous, and after descending, we definitely won't want to climb the Twelve Peaks again. Of course, if you plan to visit the Dayuoyan Scenic Area for two days, you can also consider buying the combined ticket! The scenery at Yaxiaku is nice, but don't make the same mistake I did. We left late and arrived at 1:30 pm. We went straight up the mountain without lunch and almost had hypoglycemia. I was so weak and I'm so ashamed of myself!

There are not many people, and it is convenient for families. You have to walk a distance, and there is nothing to eat here.

The entire tour took about 2.5 hours, and the scenery was pretty good. It was just before the rainy season, so the waterfall was smaller. Since it was after the holiday, the crowds were sparse. Besides my husband and I, we only saw two other groups of six tourists, making it feel like the whole area was completely occupied (haha). The area requires some climbing, so it's not recommended for elderly people with weak knees, but otherwise, it's fine. You'll see in the photos; the climb was quite strenuous.

Yaxiaku is located in a valley 2.5 kilometers northwest of Xiaoruokou, Daluoyan Town. The stream is 1 kilometer long and has a gap of more than 30 meters. The steep cliffs on both sides are more than 300 meters high, with only a line of blue sky visible.

Go from Taogongdong towards Longxiang to the entrance of Lidayu Village, turn left and go forward 300 meters to reach the Yaxia Reservoir of Nanxi River.

When I first saw the Yaxiaku, I felt it was just average, the same style as Yandang Mountain, but after going up the mountain, I felt different. In the morning, I went up the mountain in a counterclockwise direction. The light was good, and the scenery was on the way up the mountain and on the top of the mountain.

A short hike up the mountain brings you to a plank road, a glass observation deck, and a cable bridge. The scenic area is well-planned and well-designed. Passing Lingyun Pavilion, ascend the steps to the plank road. Looking down from the plank road, you'll see the steep, deep cliffs. You can see Lingyun Pavilion and the steps leading down to the lowest level of Hanxiu Waterfall—what a breathtaking scenery!

A bridge spans the cliffs, seemingly soaring through the air. Gazing out over the mountains and valleys, this is the height of life! It's truly magnificent!

An exquisite classic, with cliffs, steep stairs, waterfalls and plank roads all concentrated together, leaving you with no free time and making you willing to exhaust your physical strength.

At the foot of Yaxiaku Mountain lies the Hanxiu Waterfall, another ideal retreat for quiet contemplation. Even amidst the scorching sun outside, this spot offers a refreshing coolness. Climbing the mountain, visitors will find the Solitary Peak Pavilion, a cliffside plank road, and a cable bridge. The plank road juts out from the cliff face, where a vast, continuous ripple of water creates the illusion of a river once flowing through. Initially, I was apprehensive about traversing it, but then I was stunned to see several classes of elementary school students walking across it together. After crossing the cable bridge, a hilltop path planted with landscaped plants creates a sense of celestial beauty. Amidst the expansive view, a path of flowers and plants ascends to a pavilion.

I think Yaxiaku is a must-see attraction. Let's go. When we got to Yaxiaku, we found that it was worth the trip. The scenery was beautiful, but we had to climb the mountain. My husband, who doesn't exercise normally, was exhausted. Another thing that made me think this place was beautiful was that there were very few tourists. We met at most 20 tourists along the way. This is what tourism is like. It's not just about seeing the scenery but also about being crowded. The ticket price is 50 yuan.

By The Age of Walking |

The scenery is much better than the photos, especially on rainy days, the waterfalls and streams are connected together, and walking on the plank road is thrilling.

It's a very unique place. The key is that compared with other famous places, there are not too many people. Recommended!

By Tossing the baby |

Compared to other scenic spots, Yaxiaku is a bit ordinary. But the small number of people is the key to traveling in the peak season.

By sponge buns |

The scenic area is not big and can be visited in about an hour. The big rock is quite conspicuous and it is very close to the Twelve Peaks Scenic Area.

By Gradually drifting away |

Yaxiaku is a place to see the rocks, which are very spectacular. There is also a waterfall. The sky was very blue on the morning we went there, without a single cloud.

By Walking code to see flowers |

Yaxiaku is a stream one kilometer long and over 30 meters wide, with steep cliffs over 300 meters high on either side, only a sliver of blue sky visible. Visitors here feel as if they are in a skyscraper alleyway, with dark cliffs looming on either side. Sunlight only breaks through for a few moments at midday in summer. This is the famous Yaxiaku. Entering Yaxiaku, one is immediately faced with a thousand-foot-high cliff, feeling hesitant to advance. Looking up, one sees a white stream on the cliff, about 70 to 80 meters high, known as the Shameful Waterfall, so only a tiny section of it is visible.
