Currently a semi-developed island, it lacks many tourist attractions, just a few natural wonders. It's a perfect spot for those tired of the hustle and bustle of the big city and want to enjoy the scenery in peace. It's worth noting that you can only stay on Yushan Island for 24 hours. This means if you arrive at 3:00 PM the day before, you'll depart by boat at 3:00 PM the following day. You'll receive a text message notifying you of your departure time, and you can purchase your return ferry ticket at the Yushan Island dock.

Yushan Island is well worth visiting, and worth revisiting again and again. Here, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves, watch the sunrise and sunset, and admire the starry sky... If you're lucky, you might even see "blue tears." Crucially, there are very few tourists! Facing the sea, spring blossoms bloom—the perfect reflection of Yushan Island in this season. Many people come to Yushan Island specifically for the blue tears. However, encountering blue tears does require luck.

This is a photo from my second visit. Although I've been there twice, reading everyone's travelogues has made me want to go again. In my eyes, Yushan Island is like a pure land. When you can't change the status quo, why not gather a few friends and go on a trip? There are no troubles along the way, only the beautiful scenery in front of you and the call from the sea. The first time I went there was in July and August 2015. It was too hot and we encountered a typhoon on the way back. It was indeed a very bad memory, but it still couldn't resist my yearning for Yushan Island. Two years later, I embarked on this journey again, this time around May to June 2017. The right side is neither too hot nor too cold, just comfortable. However, Yushan Island is still quite chilly at night. I recommend wearing a long-sleeved jacket, as I'm quite familiar with the routes after having been there once. Every scene on the island is perfect for photos. I found joy in posing and releasing my nature, and the affection between friends gradually returned. We don't spend so much time together on weekdays. On Yushan Island, we were inseparable, as if we had rediscovered the scene of our school days. After work, everyone went their separate ways, and it was rare for us to get together. We were often bound by our phones. Yushan Island is truly a great choice. I hope the photos can bring back the longing in everyone's hearts. I just want to say goodbye to Yushan Island.

The beauty of the Yushan Islands was my first experience of the ocean's beauty. The deep blue seas I see on TV and in articles are rarely seen in real life. Having visited Xiangshan, Zhoushan, even the outlying islands of Hong Kong and Pattaya, Thailand, nothing could compare to the breathtaking waters of the Yushan Islands. I was captivated by the blue sky and sea, and even in my dreams, I can still feel the thrill of that refreshing feeling.

To reach the Yushan Islands, you need to buy a boat ticket. Many tourists might not choose to stay overnight, but since I've always loved outlying islands, I decided to stay a night. The accommodations were quite poor, with power outages in the middle of the night. Transportation was the hotel's rickety tricycle, lacking even a shelter. However, the island was cool, the sea breeze was strong, and most importantly, the scenery was stunning. The sheer beauty of the landscape overcame all my shortcomings and allowed me to simply immerse myself in it.

The scenery is indeed beautiful, but the only downside is the boat ticket is expensive. Locals only have to pay 10 yuan to get back from the island, and you can't board the boat first, while locals can. We originally wanted to sit at the stern, but it was already taken by people who arrived earlier, so we had to stay on the deck. The cabin wasn't nice. We stayed at the Heart of the Sea Hotel. The hostess was very nice, and the food was good. The four of us enjoyed over 10 dishes. They rent tents, and I asked the hostess if they had quilts for 100 yuan a day. I didn't rent one because I thought there were too many mosquitoes. The hotel was 260 yuan a day, including food and accommodation. It was a good deal for one person. I had originally wanted to see the Blue Tears, but it was a bit chilly and pitch black at night. There's no beach, so there weren't many good spots for fishing. We could only fish in the sea behind the hotel. My friend and I foolishly wandered around the island with our fishing rods. Be sure to bring sunscreen; even applying sunscreen gave me a sunburn.

The waters are clear and the vegetation is abundant. If you're lucky, you might even see blue tears. It's also a paradise for sea fishing enthusiasts. Yushan Island isn't large, and a one-hour walk around it is enough. There are two boat options to reach Yushan Island from the Xiangshan Shipu Water Passenger Transport Center: a fast boat costs 220 yuan one-way and takes about 1.5 hours, while a slow boat costs 160 yuan one-way and takes about 2.5 hours. (In my personal experience, I don't think there's much difference between the fast and slow boats. We took the fast boat out and the slow boat back. The cabin on the fast boat was more comfortable, while the slow boat offered deck breeze, which I found more comfortable. Choosing a boat depends primarily on time; if you're not in a hurry, I recommend taking the slow boat.)

Ferry tickets to Yushan Island can't be booked online, and the flight times vary daily. You'll need to call ahead to inquire about the ferry schedule and book your ticket. The terminal will record your phone number and ticket number, so you can simply tell them your number upon arrival. There's no charge, but this is to let the terminal know the estimated number of tourists. After booking by phone, it's recommended to arrive early to purchase your ticket, as it's first-come, first-served, especially during holidays. Alipay is accepted for ticket purchases.

After buying the outbound ticket, you can ask about the return time. The return ticket is purchased when you leave. Shortly after you arrive on the island, you will receive a text message from Yushan Wharf telling you the departure time of the next day. At that time, you just need to go to the wharf half an hour in advance to buy the ticket and wait for the boat.

I have to complain here. The transportation cost to Yushan Island is really expensive. The boat ticket alone costs 440. I accidentally saw locals buying boat tickets with their ID cards for only 10 yuan. One tourist boat ticket can actually buy 22 tickets for locals. But what can tourists say (spread their hands).

There are abundant resources for sea fishing, and the air is fresh and smog-free, making it a good choice for tourism. In fact, there are many hotels on Yushan Island, and there are many B&B owners at the pier who come back to the pier to pick people up. Because the number of people taking a boat to the island is limited, if you don't book a hotel in advance, it shouldn't be a big problem if it's not the weekend, but it's best to book it in advance on weekends and holidays. The weather on Yushan Island is excellent. Just walk along the cement road, and you can circle the island and see all the attractions. It only takes about an hour. The mosquitoes on the island are really poisonous. There are no mosquitoes in folk customs, but mosquitoes will come up when you walk on the road. There is also no beach on the island. Swimming is basically not allowed.

By Ah Luo |

The boat ticket to the island costs 220 yuan and takes 90 minutes. Boats don't run every day, and the schedule varies depending on weather and the number of people. Reservations are required by phone in advance. Return tickets for the next day will be sent via text message. The island is small and can be explored in about an hour. On clear days, you can watch the sunrise and sunset in the morning and evening. On cloudy days, you might see a skylight. If you're lucky, you can even see blue tears at night. Two days are generally sufficient for Yushan Island.

By Drunk alone |

Yushan Island isn't yet considered a true tourist attraction, so there's no entrance fee. To reach Yushan Island from other cities, you generally need to take a bus from Shipu Town. Numerous buses run directly to Shipu from Ningbo, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and other cities, making it very convenient. However, it's crucial to book your ferry tickets in advance, especially on holidays. There are two types of ferry services to Yushan Island: a fast ferry and a slow ferry, each taking 1.5 hours and 2.5 hours, respectively, costing 220 and 160 yuan. Depending on weather conditions, the ferry might not be confirmed when you first inquire. Don't worry, just call and check later. Don't expect to buy tickets at the dock! Since I visited Yushan Island on a weekday, it was easy to book. Because it was quiet that day, there was only one ferry at 12:00 PM. Aside from the typical rough seas, the journey was no different from a regular bus ride.

By Solitary Traveler |

The Xiangshan and Yushan Islands are a paradise surrounded by turquoise waters. From the islands, gaze out upon the vast expanse of blue waters, the ethereal mist of reefs, the blossoming of wildflowers, and the dreamlike, vibrant pebble beaches. Sunsets, starlit skies, and the twinkling fishing boats—every frame is a masterpiece of nature, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of a fusion of sea and sky.

By Cat's Wandering Story |

The first thing that strikes you when visiting Yushan Island is its refreshingly clean air, a breathtaking sight. The azure sky and deep blue sea make the island even more beautiful! From any road leading out of the village, you can see the azure sea, its emerald green surface as soft as silk, gently rippling with ripples.

By Xuming seized |

When I arrived at the island, I asked the local ticket seller, who told me there are only two ferry boats, one fast boat, and one slow boat. So, it's important to book your ferry ticket a day in advance. Allow about 40 minutes to prepare before booking, so you don't rush to the pier after the bus arrives and miss the boat. A friendly reminder: bring seasickness medicine. The ferry ride takes about 2.5 hours (slow boat), and about 1 hour and 40 minutes (fast boat). The ferry leaves the harbor at 12:50, and the ocean views along the way are beautiful.

By Job's tears |

The island is small, but every time I visit, I find something new! The final destination is the pier! The wind is warm and soft, the people are down-to-earth, the sea is azure, and the smell is fresh and pleasant, without a hint of fishy smell! Since we didn't book accommodations and were camping, we packed our bags and started walking to the campsite! If you have accommodations, the owner will pick you up on an electric tricycle! This saves a lot of effort, but the distance isn't far, so walking is fine! I was excited the moment I saw the rapeseed flowers in the flower beds! Turning a corner, I couldn't help but cheer: rapeseed and radish flowers covered the hills! The road here is a circular route around the island, so don't worry, you won't get lost no matter how you walk, and you can see everything you want along the way!

By Rhubarb |

A slow boat ride takes about 2.5 hours to reach Yushan Island. About an hour later, you'll see the slightly bluer waters as you leave the dock. The waters near the dock are truly stunning. Due to the lighting, the color of the water changes with each section around the island.

A very primitive small fishing island, like the scene in Han Han's movie, and also like Dongxiang Island in Dad x. Interesting and simple

By Grapefruit |

Very good. I like it very much. . . . . .

By Xixia |

The first impression of Yushan Island is indescribably beautiful, with beautiful scenery like a paradise: blooming mountain flowers, azure sea water, and steep cliffs and reefs.

By Sky Bow |

Yushan Island is definitely worth a visit. The seafood here is simple, fresh, and of average quality, but it's only under 100 yuan per person. There are plenty of inns on the island, but during off-season, I recommend avoiding online reservations and choosing your favorite once you're on the island. Well, even if the conditions aren't great, in August, Yushan Island has "blue tears"—it depends on your luck.

By Sky Bow |

The first impression I had of this island was its pristine ecology. Accommodation on the island is very limited, with most being family-run inns run by fishermen.

This is an extremely small, pristine fishing village. The villagers peddled dried goods along the quiet streets, not the fresh, premium ingredients I'd imagined. Later, I learned that the day's catch was brought ashore in the wee hours of the morning and quickly packed and shipped across the country.

The village is so primitive that there are no restaurants. The only two or three supermarkets represent the village's commercial presence, as the outside world understands it. We walked through the village in a short time. This is a small island, only 0.5 square kilometers, and from the top of the mountain, everything is visible. The village to the north, the harbor to the northwest, the observation deck to the west, the reef and lighthouse to the south—that's all this island has to offer.

What surprised me was that the signals of the three major operators on this small island were very good!

Yushan Island's specialty is its clams, all wild and large. Their texture isn't generally very good, with absolutely no melt-in-your-mouth smoothness. However, the base of the clams does remind me of a "golden diamond."

The second specialty of Yushan Island is the Buddha's hand conch. This was my first time eating this kind of conch. The meat was delicate and the "fragrant" flavor was rich. However, I just couldn't get used to the taste.

By Restless Wandering Soul |

When you come to Yushan Island, all the seas you can see are similar. There are still many people swimming here, and there are barbecues directly on the terrace, which is very ceremonial. After playing for a whole morning, I took some great photos. There are really very few snacks. I was so happy to eat such a popsicle. People who love to eat must bring enough food with them when they come here to play. The island is really not big. Because it is an undeveloped area, the overall tourism scale is not very mature. If you want to play, you can rely on your own enthusiasm to find and discover, and open up your own routes. Anyway, if you ask people here, their answers are almost all "there is nothing fun."

By VVJVV |

It is a very small island, and it only takes more than an hour to circle the island. The scenery is pretty good and suitable for sea fishing. Since there is a limit on the number of people going to the island, you must book a boat ticket in advance.

The Yushan Islands have not been developed much, a paradise on earth

By Wooden Bird Homestay |

There are two types of boats available on the island: a fast boat (220 yuan, 1.5 hours) and a slow boat (160 yuan, 2.5 hours). We chose the fast boat to get to the island as quickly as possible, but it was a bit pricey. The first impression of Yushan Island is the refreshing air, which is refreshing. The azure sky and deep blue sea make the island even more beautiful.

By Job's tears |

The blue of Yushan Island can sometimes seem profoundly blue. Some say a visit to Yushan Island is to see the sea of flowers; the island beneath them is incredibly beautiful. If you miss the sea of flowers, simply looking at the lush reeds is just as beautiful! A quick trip around the island takes only an hour, stopping here and there. Boats to Yushan Island run according to the number of people in your group. Weekends are more frequent, so there are more boats, while weekdays are less frequent. It's best to book your boat tickets a week or two in advance.

It was my first time experiencing the ocean up close, 27 nautical miles from the mainland. It felt like a true paradise. In May, the mountains were covered in radish blossoms. Going back in October, I found all sorts of seafood.

Compared with the Dongji Island in "See You Tomorrow", the Yushan Islands are more remote and more niche.

By A red cloud |

You can see the blue sea, and it has the reputation of being the best fishing spot in Asia. Friends who like fishing can go there, but it takes 2 to 3 hours by boat to get to the island, and it is easy to get seasick.

By Linhai Zhengtong |

Comment 2: We were on the same boat with the documentary crew from Sansha TV. The next day, they were filming us with a camera while we were having dinner. At first, my boss thought they were taking photos. They kept filming for a while and wanted to kick them out, but when I told him they were from the TV station, he immediately grabbed a bowl of leftover rice bigger than his face and dove in, saying, "Photograph me, photograph me!" It cracked me up. I was like, even if I could, I couldn't get a picture of your face. It was such a big bowl, I'd completely blocked it. That afternoon, while fishing at the harbor, I noticed another crew from the TV station filming across from me with a camera. My line immediately got even more excited. This wasn't a documentary about Yushan Island, it was clearly my documentary. On the third day, while watching the sunrise, I saw them filming again on their boat out to sea. Give the boss a shout-out! The owner and lady of the Haifeng Hotel are very nice. I didn't schedule a photo of their hotel, but I found one online. I don't think I posted comment 1, so I'll just add this: Hotel A is probably the newest on the island. It was really nicely renovated last year. The main meals are five to six courses, which the two of us couldn't finish. Accommodation and meals cost 400 per person per day, which is cheaper than the other hotels. There aren't any decent restaurants on the island, so we usually eat at whichever hotel we're staying. These folk-style hotels are everywhere on the island. There are a lot of Meningtou on the island, so insect repellent is a must. We were lucky enough to see a blue teardrop.

By Rubinsky |

I went there once in mid-2014. The island was covered with hay. There was a lighthouse, but you couldn't go in. Some abandoned military forts were overgrown with weeds. The sea water here was green and very clean.

By Mu Feng |

The weather was not good when we went there. We didn't see the sunrise or the stars. The environment of Xiaodao is very good, suitable for couples to travel. Be sure to check the weather before going out. Bring toilet water and long-sleeved clothes. The boat ticket is a bit too expensive, 440 per person for a round trip and 220 for a one-way trip. There are many small hotels on the island, which include accommodation, lunch, dinner and breakfast the next day. We negotiated 300 per person, which is very cheap. It is recommended that you look for it yourself after getting off the boat. The seafood cooked by each restaurant is different. I hope you can find a landlord who cooks delicious and generous food!

By Owner of Yushan Island |

The most unique property on the island is Haifeng Hotel A, which faces the sea and overlooks the Wuhu Reef on Yushan Mountain. The hostess is very welcoming and the food is excellent. The island's largest supermarket, Haifeng, is also part of the same chain as the Haifeng Hotel. The owner also has a fishing boat, providing a one-stop service for food, accommodation, and entertainment.

It was my first time going there with my girlfriend. The scenery was okay, but the prices were a bit high. I couldn't buy tickets that day, so I asked the store to help me get them. The store was very helpful. It rained that night, and the tent was quite cold. I couldn't rent a blanket from a small store on the side island, but I couldn't find one. In the end, the store that helped me get the tickets rented me two blankets. Overall, it was worth the trip. If you want to go, I highly recommend Yushan Island. You can get tickets and eat there, and the prices are quite reasonable.

I planned to visit a nearby island during the May Day holiday, but didn't want to go to Zhoushan due to the crowds. So, I chose Yushan Island. Because there are limited round-trip tickets daily, even on holidays, the island isn't crowded, making it a great place for those who want to explore the area. You can drive to the Shipu Water Transport Center and take a boat, or you can get to Ningbo Station and then take a bus or taxi to the Shipu Water Transport Center.

On a quiet night, sitting on the rocks by the sea, feeling the cool breeze, I savor the beauty before me. Even though I feel a little selfish, I understand why people would travel thousands of miles just to see it. Bright blue waves crash against the shore, fleetingly, while in the distance, tiny twinkling lights stretch all the way to where the sea meets the sky...

By kristinfay |

The commercial atmosphere on the island is not very strong. The fishermen are relatively simple and the accommodation is not expensive. There is a 4-person room for 4 people, and the price is only a little over 100 yuan per night. However, the island uses diesel power generation, which is not always powered. Fresh water resources and electricity are scarce on the island, so everyone should pay attention to saving. The vegetables we ate on the table later were all transported to the island with our passenger ship. We all joked that the vegetables had drifted across the ocean.

There are sea fishing spots and camping sites on the island, so it attracts many sea fishing enthusiasts and hikers. Everyone is very friendly and will say hello when they meet on the road. We kept an eye on the weather forecast before we went. It was originally said to be cloudy with showers, but it turned cloudy later. In fact, it was basically sunny on the Saturday there. The weather was good and the mood was naturally relaxed. Although we didn’t see blue eyes and a sky full of stars, it was still worth the trip.

The next morning, the weather turned cloudy and there was a lot of fog, so we couldn't see the sunrise. However, the island in the fog had a different kind of scenery. We booked a boat ticket to leave the island at 10 am on Sunday. Before leaving, we took a lot of photos, but we only took pictures of the scenery. We couldn't take the beauty away, so we could only keep it in our hearts.

Taking advantage of the last bit of time, I took off my shoes and socks and went into the sea. There were many crabs, conches, and seaweeds in the cracks of the rocks. The water was very clean and the mist had gradually dissipated. The weather was very good and there was not a drop of rain during the time on the island. The Yushan Islands are quite small and the entire island can be visited in 2-3 hours. However, the laziness, comfort and relaxation of the island can make people linger.

By ω Rocket Brother |

The houses on the island had also lit up their lights, and from the top of the mountain, it looked like a paradise. After dinner, we set out to photograph the stars, but there weren't many in the sky, which was a big disappointment. Since we were already out, let's go for a walk and take a look. The weather on the island changes rapidly. As the moon gradually sets, the stars appear one by one.

By Baoha Sauce |

I got up before 5 o'clock and set out to watch the sunrise. Slowly, a round ball emerged from the sea level without any glare. It was beautiful! The sunrise at Yushan is beautiful.

By Baoha Sauce |

We departed from Hangzhou on March 26th and arrived in Shipu at 10 am. We chartered a boat to Yushan and sailed to Yushan in 2 hours and 20 minutes. It was beautiful, really beautiful. Blue sky and white clouds during the day, and stars hanging in the sky at night. The mountains were covered with rape flowers, and the sea was full of fish. We enjoyed the scenery and fished. We especially experienced sea fishing this time. We found that the fish in the sea were stupid. I had never fished before, but I caught so many fish that my hands were sore. Hahahaha, it's not an exaggeration at all. You must experience it when you go to Yushan.

By Song Nani |

In summary, Yushan Island offers a truly unparalleled level of freedom. You can go anywhere if you dare! Check the weather before your trip; it's a shame not to see the sunrise, sunset, and stars. There are also many caves on the island; they're deep, dark, and smelly, but I didn't dare go in. There might be treasures hidden within! Most importantly, bring your nostalgia!

You can camp on Yushan Island. You can bring your own tent or rent one on the island (remember it costs 100, good for 1 day). Surrounded by the sea, the environment is relatively humid. When you are on the island, especially in the summer, you must pay special attention to your personal safety and beware of all kinds of insects and snakes. There is only one path around the island on Yushan Island. Along the way, there are attractions such as the lighthouse (not worse than the one on Jeju Island in South Korea), the Immortal Bridge, and the scenic boardwalk. It takes about an hour to walk around the island leisurely, taking photos and stopping. Depending on the weather, take appropriate sun protection measures. [Bring water equipment] You can pass by another [seaside] when you go around the island. You can go swimming in the sea and play in the waves. Yushan Island was once used as a military site, and there are many relics left on the island. Friends who are interested can go explore.

The Yushan Islands are made up of several small islands. The main island we can visit is Yushan Island. The other islands are basically only visited by sea anglers who take other shuttle boats to fish. I went there twice and no one came to collect entrance fees or garbage disposal fees.

By ·Root. |

Caoji recommends that although the journey took a long time and I had to take a boat for more than 2 hours to get to the pier, I still couldn't help but go there twice. The second time was specifically to take wedding photos. Hahaha. When I have time in a while, I can write a travelogue.

Boats depart and depart from Yushan Island on a fixed schedule. There are no hotels or restaurants on the island, so you'll have to rely on the islanders for food and lodging. Its small size makes it a perfect place for a relaxing weekend getaway. After a two-hour boat ride, the islands finally came into view, giving way to a sense of life. Upon disembarking, looking back at the path we'd taken, it felt as if all worldly concerns had faded, leaving only the vast ocean. In the clear waters, you can see small fish and shrimp swimming and scrambling over the rocks, ensuring a rewarding experience even for non-swimmers.

The villages of Yushan Island are built into a valley, shielding them from the harsh sea breeze. In the past, the island's existence was a boon for fishermen. The Yushan Island Lighthouse, built during the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty, illuminated the route for fishing boats traveling north and south in the Yushan Sea. The lighthouse bears the date of liberation, 1955, inscribed on it.

We stayed at the top of the island, near the lighthouse. As we climbed up the path, the terrain became increasingly dangerous. The Immortal Bridge is one of the wonders of Yushan Island.

Fishermen live only on Beiyushan Island, making the entire island easily accessible on foot. Some of the tourists who arrived with us brought their own fishing gear, specifically for the thrill of sea fishing. Another group included hikers, who enjoy camping in Yushan Island's many locations. Pitching a tent, listening to the crashing waves and gazing at the stars is a truly picturesque experience. Finally, there are photography enthusiasts, who find sunrises and sunsets, the vast starry sky, and the charming local customs of fishermen all captivating. Yushan Island lacks a beach, but it does have a small harbor.

The scenery is beautiful, and it is also a good place to rent a boat with friends to eat real seafood.

How do I bring a tent in? Are there any rentals available?

Yushan Island is a small, unpopular island deep in the East China Sea. It takes nearly two hours to reach it by boat from Xiangshan Shipu Wharf. Because it is far away from the mainland, it is relatively untouched. Yushan Island belongs to a national marine ecological protection area. The entire island is very pristine and has basically not been developed for tourism. This has preserved the island's simple folk customs and natural and beautiful original ecological scenery. There is only one village next to a bay in the north of the island that is inhabited. It is built on the mountains and the sea, and is staggered. At night, thousands of fishing fires are lit along the hillside, which is very beautiful. The harbor where fishing boats are docked next to the village is calm, so tourists can go swimming. There is a mountaintop camping site in the east of the island. You can set up tents on the ground, and the cliffs by the sea are covered with cacti. At night, the sea is full of fishing boats with lights on. The campsite is a good place to watch the sunrise in the morning. There is a lighthouse in the north of the island, which is a good place for a walk. You can eat fresh seafood on the island, but the accommodation conditions are relatively simple. There are not many tourists on the island, so it is quiet and comfortable most of the time. You can eat barbecue in the summer sea breeze, and enjoy the fishing boats in the harbor and the sea at night. The impetuous heart will gradually calm down. In short, Yushan Island is remote and unique in scenery. It can be called a paradise on the sea. There are not many islands like this in the entire Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas. While there is no fire, hurry up and experience it!

Out of 10, I'd give it a 7.6. The scenery was quite nice, especially at night, when you could see the Milky Way with the naked eye. The only thing I didn't like was the food; maybe I just don't like seafood. I stayed at the Yule Hotel. The room was originally 280 yuan, but the owner gave me a 20 yuan discount because I was alone. The meal cost 80 yuan, and I didn't get any money for breakfast.

The best fishing spot in Asia, the seafood there is the best, not expensive, and you can rent a tent for camping.

By Bubu Sauce |

The sea is azure, and on clear nights, you can see stars, like blue tears. However, the boat ticket to the island is a bit expensive, and food and accommodation are also quite expensive. There are many hotels on the island, making accommodation quite convenient, but generally, it's 100 yuan per person per meal (prices are pretty much the same everywhere on the island. Rooms are 300 yuan per room, tents are 100 yuan per room plus 10 yuan per person for cleaning; lunch and dinner are both 100 yuan per person, breakfast is 10 yuan per person, with porridge and a hard-boiled egg, and water is 5 yuan per bottle).

You can ask the store to rent tents, fishing rods, etc. directly, which is more convenient.

Barbecuing is prohibited on the island, but some people still take the risk. There are still many trees on Yushan Island, and if you are not careful, you will burn the island instead of the mountain.

The seawater is a different shade of yellow than the offshore waters. It's a bluish-black, a turquoise. The sky changes dramatically throughout the day. Setting up a tent on the island is strenuous, and the wind is strong. Furthermore, many areas of the tent site are impassable, requiring anchoring with guy lines tied to large rocks. Therefore, campers should arrive early to secure favorable locations. The wind is strong in Yushan at night, and the natural breeze that fills the tent is truly relaxing, as if the rhythm of the day has slowed down. The alarm clock awoke us perfectly, the lights of the fishing boats still flickering on the sea, and the eastern sky began to glow red. The wait finally dawned on the water, a delightful surprise. Sunrise is a must-see at Yushan. Drifting to the rhythm of the waves on the small fishing boat, I felt up close the waters of Yushan and the sky that merged with them. The catch was quite good, and even as a first-time fisherman, I landed over ten fish. The red-spotted tiger fish was particularly delicious.

It’s okay, the sea is not very blue, the village is a bit shabby, and the scenery is just like that.

Yushan is very beautiful in May, with small daisies, succulents, cacti and small wild flowers all over the mountain.

By Small 7 |

After arriving on the island, there is a gentle breeze, the sun is shining brightly during the tour, and the vast starry sky at night. Watch the shocking sun rising from the sea level, encounter the blue tears, and feel the boundless starry sky.

A place that will surprise you, with a sea so blue that it seems unreal, it is really healing, the key lies in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai!

By Under the white moonlight |

The scenery is beautiful and there are many attractions, which are worth visiting.

Compared with Gouqi Island and Dongji Island, Yushan Island is much smaller, and you can explore every corner of the island in half a day. The only way to get to Yushan Island is by boat from Shipu Town. The departure time is uncertain every day, so you need to call the dock to inquire.

In summary, if you have two or three days off (a weekend is plenty) and want to relax on a nearby island, Yushan Island is a great choice. Arriving on Yushan Island, you'll be greeted by azure seas and skies. There are many hotels on the island (actually local farmhouses), with Dongyantou, Haizhixin, and Xiaodao Renjia all being well-known and larger.

I want to go to Yushan Islands on June 2nd. How can I book a ferry ticket?

By Wild_w1nd |

The island has very few residents and few inns. Yet, the atmosphere of island life is distinctly different from that of mainland China. Seafood hangs out to dry next to houses, and fishing nets hang by the roadside. Despite its sparse population, the island doesn't feel remote. Perhaps it's summer, but the island is vibrant with life. There are even seagulls napping by the roadside. At first, I thought they were fake, but when I disturbed them and they flew away, I realized how harmoniously people and nature coexist on this island.

Yearning for the "blue tears", I have long coveted Yushan Island. However, the beauty of the island is really as good as expected, it is beautiful and wonderful.

By When there is blue sky, I want to go outside |

A very beautiful island, but the development level is relatively low, which also maintains its original ecology. The scenery is superb!

By Dong Dong Qiang |

It's late spring, and the turquoise waters are reminiscent of the Maldives. Mountain flowers are in full bloom, and at night, you can even see "blue tears" on the reef. Getting there requires a boat. There are fast and slow boats, with the fast boat taking an hour and a half and the slow boat taking two and a half. The island's capacity is limited, allowing only 500 people per day. Therefore, the number of boats available is limited. During peak season or holidays, be sure to call the passenger center in advance to reserve your tickets. Yushan has no bars or karaoke bars at night, only bonfire parties and a sky full of stars. Unfortunately, there were no "blue tears" tonight. At five in the morning, people waiting for the sunrise were already sitting quietly on the reef near the hotel. By the time we reached the reef, the crowd had erupted in cheers of "It's out, it's out!" The sun practically leaped out.

You need to take a boat to get to Yushan. The slow boat takes about 2 hours and the boat is quite rocking. If you plan to camp on the island, please bring your own tent and sleeping bag. The price of the homestay on the island is about 300. You can consider bringing some first aid kits in case of emergency. A warm reminder: the scenery on the island is beautiful, but there will be power outages and hot water. If you are traveling for a long time, it is recommended to bring 2 power banks in case of emergency. For other personal items, you can bring them by yourself. I won’t say more. Clothes are still needed for taking pictures, even though I didn’t bring them this time... Transportation: I arrived in Shishan by bus I slept in Puzhen for one night, and took the 12:30 slow boat to Yushan Island the next day. I've seen other ways to get there by car. I've seen travelogues saying you can park your car at the pier and then take a boat. For reference only, the island limits the number of people allowed on the island, so if you need to go, especially during peak holidays, you should buy tickets in advance. There are slow boats and fast boats, so it depends on your situation. I arrived at Yushan at almost 3 o'clock, packed my backpack and went to the island to take pictures. The island is not big, and I can walk around it in an hour if I'm fast, but the scenery is beautiful, and I can play for a long time... Just a reminder that the best time to take pictures is from 4 to 6 pm

Even a photography novice like me can take such great photos. If you like Yushan Island, don't miss it. A Yushan native will show you around Yushan Island. wx:15267830708. We have a newly opened hotel. ◕‿◕。 We welcome all hikers and anglers to Yushan Island with open arms. Accommodation, boat tickets, and dining are all available in one place. We want to give you an unforgettable trip to the blue sea and blue sky. This year's rape flowers are blooming again.

The only drawback to Yushan is that it lacks a beach, only a small shallow area where you can swim. If it rains, you can see a sea of jellyfish. Without a helmet, you'll be in a state of panic. Yushan only has a gentle breeze at noon, but after an hour or so, you'll find yourself very damp. So, if you're planning to visit Yushan, be sure to bring a moisture-proof jacket and a thick coat.

It was great both during the day and at night. I also saw the blue tears.

I'd always heard Yushan Island was amazing, so I took advantage of the weekend to visit. Before leaving, I contacted Mr. Wu at the China Eastern Airlines Hotel and drove to Shipu. Thankfully, the weather was great, though it was quite windy. Even with seasickness medication, I still threw up like crazy. Thankfully, the elderly man on the boat took great care of me. 🙏 I finally made it to Shipu. After a short rest at the China Eastern Airlines Hotel, we explored the island. The water was incredibly clear, the sky azure, and there were plenty of wildflowers. Watching the fishing boats carrying anglers drifting in the sea, and the tourists posing for photos, was truly relaxing! The helpful hostess even called to urge us back for dinner. So kind! The seafood dinner was delicious! It was so fresh! I'm a late-night snack lover, and the owner made it a special treat! Thank you! The next day, the weather was calm, and I ran into the old man again on the boat back to Shipu. He found a great spot for me, and I arrived in Shipu without a single seasickness! 👍This trip to Yushan Island was so worth it! - Because without effort, how can there be reward? This is nature's greatest gift to us!

Yushan Island is very nice and a relatively pristine island. It is not big and can be circled in half an hour, which is enough for a weekend.

By Sunny days do not mean warm weather |

The beauty of Beihai Yushan captivated my imagination…flowers everywhere, the air was incredibly fresh, the waves rose and fell, the remnants of rocks were everywhere, and the sea breeze blew everywhere. Beihai Yushan offered me so much that made it so special. Whether I was sitting alone by the sea or strolling through the fishing village, I felt a unique sense of tranquility.

The island isn't big, so I explored it all in just an hour: the lighthouse, the Fairy Bridge, the observation deck, the campground, and the Five Tiger Reef. We'd already seen many of these attractions on China-TravelNote before arriving, so I won't go into detail. By the time we finished our swim, it was already evening, and the water was much bluer than it had been at noon. After dinner, we decided to watch the sunset from the other side of the island. Perhaps without the city lights, the island seemed especially tranquil at dusk. As the sun set, the fishing villages lit up, a scene whose beauty can only be truly appreciated in person. Perhaps because it was getting dark, the island's hiking trails were less crowded. It felt like I had this island and sea to myself. I found Yushan even more captivating at dusk than during the day. The weather was beautiful, and the moon, the starry sky, and the lights were all so beautiful. The starry sky above Yushan, the distant lights, the lighthouse at night, the fishing boats at sea—we were lucky enough to see one of them return with a full load. Everyone gathered around the fishing boat, watching the excitement. The sailing boat, Windmill, had spent 24 hours on the island, experiencing the sunrise, sunset, and starry sky, listening to the waves, feeling the sea breeze, eating seafood, and experiencing the simple life of the fishermen. But it still felt like time had passed too quickly. Yushan Island, we'll see you later.

By lurker |

The sea water is bluer than the offshore islands. There are fewer entertainment facilities and attractions on the island. Camping and sea fishing are still quite interesting. Overall, it is worth a visit. Whether it is worth sitting so far is a matter of opinion.

By Mia |

The sea is blue, life is peaceful, and the village name is simple. I will come again.

The moment we stepped onto the island, we were all amazed by the azure waters. We took a deep breath of the salty sea breeze, feeling refreshed. Looking up at the sky, a small flock of birds soared happily, creating a truly natural scene! Island life is peaceful, and you can explore the entire island in about two hours on foot. Looking out, we saw groups of sea anglers on the surrounding islands, their professional rods and well-defined positions making it tempting to give it a try. Fishing rods and bait are available for rent on the island.
