Bird Island was originally named after the large number of birds that inhabited it. Now, due to changes in the ecological environment, it is difficult to see flocks of birds on the island.
When the tide is high, Bird Island looks like an isolated island in the sea, but when the tide is low, it is connected to the main island. The whole island sparkles under the sunlight.
The entire island is lush and green, relying on the deep blue Pacific Ocean, like a piece of green emerald isolated from the world.
This is also the best place to watch the sunrise on Saipan. When the weather is good, you can see the sky full of stars on the sea before sunrise.

It is said that in order to protect these birds and the natural environment, it is not allowed to go to that island. If you are interested, you can take a telescope to see the birds on it.
The Pacific Ocean is right in front of me. It's cloudy and calm. I don't think it's as spectacular as the Atlantic Ocean I saw in Lisbon. You can watch my Atlantic Ocean video in Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Bird Island, located in northern Saipan, is composed of limestone and originally earned its name from the numerous birds that inhabit it. At high tide, Bird Island appears isolated in the sea, while at low tide, it connects to the main island, shimmering in the sunlight. While bird sightings are now rare due to ecological changes, the island remains lush and green, like a secluded emerald, making it a worthwhile visit.

Many people would check in under the sign on Bird Island. When we went there, the sign was gone. The security guard said it was blown away by a typhoon.

The world is so big, and compared to nature, humans are very small.
Standing on the cliff and listening to the waves, I feel that time can stand still. I should cherish everything I have.

The scenery is beautiful and you can take pictures. We went to see the starry sky at night, but the moon was dim and the stars were sparse.

Bird Island Lookout: Bird Island was originally named after the numerous birds that inhabit it. Now it is the best place to watch the sunrise. When the weather is good, you can even see the starry sky above the sea before sunrise.

The main attractions in the north are the last headquarters of the Japanese army, Banzai Cliff, Suicide Cliff, Blue Hole, and Bird Island. When we drove up the mountain, there was no signal on my cell phone. I didn’t have a navigation system, so I relied on my dad to look at the map for directions.
That day was the perfect weather for our trip to Saipan. Many Poinciana trees lined the main road. Though not yet in bloom, one could imagine the stunning scenery it would have been in full bloom. Traffic was very light along the way, and the road conditions were excellent. At Banzai Cliff, I could see the deep blue Pacific Ocean, the white and icy blue waters splashing against the cliffs and reefs. This reminded me of the various seascapes by Aivazovsky I had seen at the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. The realism of the water resonated deeply with me, and I marveled at the ocean's grandeur while also admiring the greatness of art. You see, what we admire and experience in the past will eventually be reflected in a future moment, making that moment sparkle.

This place is still worth visiting, a popular place for couples to take photos

This is a place you can only visit if you rent a car and drive in Saipan. Basically, you can take a few photos and then go back to the next attraction. The scenery is very nice.

The scenery of Bird Island is great! The sea is beautiful and has distinct layers.
Unfortunately, the sign of Bird Island was blown away by a typhoon last year and has not been repaired yet.

Local guide introduction: Bird Island was originally named because of the large number of birds that inhabited it, but now the number of birds has gradually decreased. In fact, it is just a big rock on the shore.

The northern ring island passes by and can only be seen from a distance.

The scenery is nice, but the wind is a bit strong, so I don't recommend wearing a skirt.

As mentioned, there are basically no birds on Bird Island now, but the color difference of the sea water at high tide is still worth a visit. There are many long seats on the viewing platform in the distance, which is a good place to take pictures. I wanted to see the stars, but I gave up because it was unsafe to drive at night.

It is quite beautiful when viewed from afar. It is said that there are many bird nests on the island where many birds hatch eggs. However, you cannot see them with the naked eye because you don’t have a telescope. When I went there that day, Typhoon Yutu was about to come, so I took a quick walk despite the strong wind and the impending heavy rain in the distance.

The scenery is super beautiful. No matter how you take pictures here, you can make them into desktop pictures. It is very beautiful. The sea breeze is also very pleasant and comfortable. It is worth recommending

The scenery is beautiful when the weather is clear, and it is also a good place to watch the sunrise.

It was too windy when I went there, so I didn't have much fun. It was just a check-in spot.

You can explore both the north and south of Saipan in one day by car. Saipan is really very small. I recommend not spending more than 5 days just for fun, but a longer vacation is fine.

It is a photo spot. The bay behind Bird Island is very beautiful. From the bay to the sea outside, the water appears from light blue to dark blue.

I watched the sunrise twice, but both times were covered by clouds. Remember to ask the locals for cloud maps so that you can get the complete sunrise information.

It’s actually just a big mound next to the coastline. It’s said that you can see a lot of birds there, but the scenery is just okay.

It's said that from Bird Island, you can see the crimson sun rising over the Pacific Ocean, a truly spectacular sight. When we arrived at the Bird Island observation deck, many cars were already parked, and locals were arriving on stylish motorcycles. The sky gradually brightened, and the east began to turn pale. But the thick clouds formed where the sea and sky met. When the sun broke through the horizon, it illuminated the dark clouds with a fiery crimson, illuminating the surrounding clouds with a brilliant red. The sunlight traveled along the sea surface at the speed of light, reaching us directly in front of us.

The most beautiful spot on our first day in the north! A bird-free bird island! 🤪 The colors are so rich and beautiful! But it's really sunny, with no shade! And you can only see it from the observation deck, not down on the island!

The sea of Bird Island is layered and the colors are beautiful. I think it is the most beautiful place in Saipan.

Very beautiful half blue half green very beautiful

I drove there myself, the road was easy to walk on, and the weather was nice that day👍 See the photos? Like👍

For natural scenery, you can only take pictures when there are few people.

This place got its name from the numerous birds that inhabit it. However, we didn’t see a single bird when we went there, and there weren’t many people at the attraction. However, the scenery here is still quite beautiful. Maybe I’m not too interested in these attractions. Friends who like to see the scenery can go there.

Located in the northeast of Saipan, not far from Suicide Cliff and the Blue Hole, it is named after the many birds that inhabit it.
Here, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the sapphire-blue Pacific Ocean. So, when visiting Saipan, there's a special activity called "Sunrise Viewing from Bird Island." Many people choose to ride bicycles to Bird Island before sunrise. Furthermore, since Saipan is close to the equator, visiting before sunrise allows you to admire the star-filled sky and quietly wait for the sunrise.
The scenery of Bird Island is very beautiful, but because it is a protected area, you are not allowed to go on the island. Because of this, sitting at a distance makes you feel more integrated into the island.

A bird-free BIRD Island, but it's said that local couples often choose to take wedding photos here. There's no need for any Photoshop, and the water is a truly glassy blue, making you want to jump in and drink a few sips of it. However, from the observation deck, you can still see many Chinese women sunbathing with their scarves and posing in all sorts of beautiful photos.

Bird Island is a must-see attraction in Saipan. Since Saipan is small, there aren't many attractions. A local friend told me that if you go during the day, you won't see many birds because the mother birds are out looking for food for their chicks. However, you can still see a few chicks. If you look closely, the waves on the sea resemble the wings of a bird, hence the name Bird Island. The unique wave shape combined with the azure seashore is truly beautiful.

There is a road to Bird Island at low tide, but it is generally not open to tourists. You can go to Bird Island to watch the sunrise, which is really beautiful according to other people's travel notes.

It is said that a large number of seabirds gather here every morning. Maybe I came at the wrong time and only saw a few sporadically.

Bird Island is like an isolated island in the sea. When the tide is low, it is connected to the main island. The whole island sparkles under the sunlight.
The entire island is lush and green, relying on the deep blue Pacific Ocean, like a piece of green emerald isolated from the world.
It is the best place to watch the sunrise on Saipan. When the weather is good, you can even see the sky full of stars above the sea before sunrise.

Beautiful, the perfect place to watch the sunrise in Saipan. Just take a picture and use it as your computer wallpaper.

Being on Bird Island, it feels like you have really entered a fairy tale world, and every shot you take looks like the background.
We waited a long time for the sun to finally break. It was a bit cold, with a sea breeze and a light drizzle. But the view was worth the wait. I thought I'd miss the sunrise, but after a short while, it cleared up. Thank goodness! It felt like a Monet painting, so beautiful.

It's a super good place for taking photos. We spent most of our time on Bird Island.
We estimated that we stayed on Bird Island for almost two hours.

The water is super blue, the scenery is unique, and there are many people.

Before I went there, I thought it was an island that I could go up to, but when I got there I realized it was so small. Haha, I was a little disappointed.

It's so beautiful when you drive there. This place is really the most worthwhile place to visit in the north of the country.

It's impossible not to go! It's quite beautiful, perfect for all ages. Go, and try to go when it's less crowded. I've been there a few times, but I ignored my friends who were going for the first time and drove there on their own to catch a tour group. Haha, it was so crowded. The scenery is definitely worth seeing. But I've never seen many birds. Maybe I went at the wrong time. There's parking, and any car can get there. The road is in good condition. There's parking.

The scenery is OK, you can go and have a look, it is very close to attractions such as the Blue Hole

I like this place very much. I like listening to the sea breeze and watching the waves rolling towards the shore.

The attractions of Banzai Cliff, Blue Hole and Bird Island are all in the same direction, located in the northern part of Saipan, and can be seen in two hours.

The reason why Bird Island is called Bird Island is because there are many birds living on it. I really don’t know if it was the wrong season or the wrong weather, but we didn’t see many birds anyway. However, we drove there on the island in extremely hot weather, and it was indeed very cool over there on the observation deck. Apart from two photos of the scenery of the scenic spot, this place is just a place to empty yourself. There are not too many surprises or places worth sighing about. If you have enough time, you can go there and stare blankly!
PS: When you go out, you must bring someone with good photography skills, otherwise you will come back with only pictures of scenery, and it will feel like you haven’t been anywhere.

It is more beautiful when it is sunny. The scenic spot is quite small, so you can take pictures from a distance.

The wind is strong, so it's nice to drive and watch the stars at night.

Bird Island, located in the northern part of Saipan in the Mariana Islands, is composed of limestone and is named for its numerous bird species. Although small, the island provides ample habitat for birds, home to hundreds of species. At high tide, Bird Island appears isolated in the sea, while at low tide, it connects to the main island, shimmering in the sunlight.

It's called Bird Island because of the abundance of birds, but you can't see them from a distance. You can watch the sunrise. The water is also very blue, nothing special.

I participated in a free tour to the north and a tour to the south jungle on my own. In fact, these named attractions on the island of Saipan are not very interesting. If the weather is good and the blue sky and white clouds are beautiful, you can take pictures in any way. If the weather is bad, you can just walk around and have a ride. It's always okay~~~

Basically, it's a place where you can get off the bus to take pictures and sleep on the bus. It's a pity not to go there, but if you go, it's just so-so.

The view is nice, but it is very small and you can reach the end after a few steps.

This is the only attraction I visited. Maybe it was because I went at the wrong time and didn’t see many birds.

There are many birds, but you have to go at the right time. Any stone placed on the sea is a beautiful sight.

This is a great spot for watching the sunrise. It's a peaceful and tranquil place. Let go of all distractions and enjoy the sunrise over Bird Island. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The scenery for taking photos is good, but it is a bit sunny.

Bird Island is actually quite ordinary, but the beauty lies in the environment in which it is located. It would be a great experience to come to Bird Island to watch the sunrise.

A very beautiful place~Highly recommended~~~~~~~~~~~~

Bird Island was originally named for its numerous bird species, but now, due to ecological changes, flocks of birds are rarely seen on the island. At high tide, Bird Island appears isolated in the sea, but at low tide, it connects to the main island, shimmering in the sunlight. It's also the best spot on Saipan to watch the sunrise; on clear days, you can even see a star-filled sky above the sea before sunrise.

Bird Island is not actually an island. It is a large limestone rock less than 500 meters away from the cliff edge of the land. It was named because many birds live on the rock. I heard that you can reach Bird Island through the shallows in the middle at low tide. However, the best place to view Bird Island is to walk down the stairs in the parking lot a little bit to reach the lookout point. The sea water floods the shallows to form a bay. The Bird Island is really beautiful from a distance.

It's very beautiful. It's a must-see attraction in Saipan. But there are indeed a lot of people. There are some must-see attractions for tour groups, so people are the most common ones I see in all the attractions.

The best place to watch the sunrise in the morning, you need to get up early

A good place to watch the sunrise, and you can also see the stars, so many stars~~~~~

The scenery is still very good. There are very few people when I go there. It is also very nice to spend an afternoon quietly. There are also small stalls selling drinks and fruits nearby.

buling buling sea

Bird Island can only be seen from a distance. It is the only island where you cannot go ashore. It is said that there are hundreds of species of birds.

Bird Island is a must-see for every tourist, although birds are rarely seen on the island now.

The scenery is beautiful, but I didn't see any birds when I went there.

Bird Island is the most beautiful of the northern attractions. The water is even bluer than it appears in the pictures, a truly enchanting blue. Although we didn't see a single bird, the sea breeze was refreshing and soothing. We expected the northern attractions to be crowded, but we encountered very few people, and we spent quite a while admiring the sea.

Bird Island is one of the most famous scenic spots in Saipan, located on the northeast coast of Saipan.
Due to erosion by sea breeze, the rocks of the island have formed unique gaps.

It's just a big rock in the sea. It looks good from a distance and is suitable for taking photos.

It's very beautiful, the sea is very blue, the sky is very blue. There are fewer birds on Bird Island now, but you can still see some. The scenery is so beautiful that you can't help but linger. . .

Bird Island is said to be the place where lovers come to take photos. Here we saw a party. The gathering of the locals was simple and plain. Everyone drove cars, tied balloons, and held banners, saying that it was to commemorate a heroic policeman who solved a murder case.
Although it's an uninhabited island you can only see from afar, the densely packed bird nests on a large rock are truly fascinating. Plus, it's a perfect vantage point for watching the sunrise! A must-see when visiting Saipan! I came twice, once to see the island during the day and once in the morning to watch the sunrise. Actually, I saw both in one visit.
