Spanning New York's East River, connecting Manhattan Island and Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge has weathered more than a century of wind and rain, remaining unshaken, maintaining its classic 19th-century Industrial Revolution style. Even its color is the rusty hue of the Eiffel Tower in Paris (completed in 1889). It consistently appears in photographs, paintings, and films with a calm, majestic, and captivating presence. In my opinion, the Brooklyn Bridge is New York's most beautiful image.

Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City are separated by a single river, and the Brooklyn Bridge is the most iconic bridge over the Hudson River. From the film "Spider-Man" leaping into the sky to "Sex and the City" where Miranda reunites with her husband on the bridge, to "Scent of a Woman," "New York, I Love You," and "The Godfather," New York is a defining feature of filmmaking. Much like San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, entering New York from the Brooklyn Bridge creates a cinematic ritual. If you want to truly experience the meaning of the Brooklyn Bridge, it is recommended to go from Brooklyn to Manhattan, because some people say that walking along the bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan means an illusion of leading to the American dream, step by step towards the goal that everyone dreams of. Take the subway directly to the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. Following the direction of the road, you will see many merchants selling retro "American-style" decorations under the bridge. Not far from the bridge, you can see the prosperous Manhattan coming towards you. At this moment, the New York you have been thinking about is already in front of you. Its greatness is not only because of the exquisiteness of its architecture, but also because of a large number of little-known love stories behind it. The originally cold steel and concrete have become warm and are a warm existence. It matches the soul and temperament of New York. This bridge has written countless legends and inspired countless inspirations. It carries the unimaginable love and perseverance of its builders and has become a classic business card of New York. Although the Brooklyn Bridge is old, it is designed to be very user-friendly. The upper and lower floors accommodate pedestrians, bicycles, animals and vehicles without interfering with each other. The steel wires of the suspension bridge are not only strong The bridge's unique beauty is interwoven, a must-see for tourists from around the world, who even write stories and names on the handrails. The constant flow of traffic on the lower decks reminiscent of the close connection between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Standing on the bridge, one can see the Statue of Liberty, the symbol of the United States, on one side, and the Manhattan Bridge, another marvel of the Hudson River, on the right. It's a perfect balance: one bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge, represents Brooklyn, the other, the Manhattan Bridge, Manhattan. The steel of the Manhattan Bridge and the retro brick-red of the Brooklyn Bridge create a beautiful contrast.

The Brooklyn Bridge features a dedicated pedestrian walkway for visitors, making it easy to walk from one end of the bridge to the other and admire the bridge. Enjoy the scenery as you stroll along, under the blue sky and white clouds, and admire the bridge's ancient and legendary beauty. Love locks are left on the bridge by tourists, but this practice is frowned upon in this area and can even result in a fine. This significantly increases the weight and load on the bridge, hindering its maintenance. Violators are subject to a $100 fine. Rich folks, please pass... Standing on the bridge, you'll see a sign that reads "Welcome to Manhattan." Street performers are a part of American cultural history. At the end of the Brooklyn Bridge near Manhattan, there are many street vendors selling inexpensive and quality gifts, most of which are "made in China." Their paintings are also exquisite. Stop and quietly admire their paintings.

The Brooklyn Bridge, linking Brooklyn and Manhattan, is 1,834 meters long. Suspended 41 meters above the water by tens of thousands of steel cables, it was the world's longest suspension bridge at the time and the first bridge built entirely of steel. Upon its completion, it was considered the eighth wonder of the world after the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and one of the seven groundbreaking architectural wonders of the Industrial Revolution. It remains magnificent even today.

By wangshumei |

This majestic and spectacular Brooklyn Bridge is truly a great and remarkable achievement in New York City's century. It's hard to imagine how, over a century ago, without computers and mechanical equipment, such a monument to world bridge history was built across the river. I'm deeply impressed by the 14-year project and the countless individuals who persevered and sacrificed their lives to accomplish this great mission. The thought of this truly shakes my soul!

The cruise passed by the Brooklyn Bridge while visiting the Statue of Liberty. The cruise seemed to have done so intentionally, allowing us to take a closer look: The Brooklyn Bridge spans New York's East River, connecting Brooklyn with bustling Manhattan Island. At 1,834 meters long, it was the world's first steel bridge. When it was completed in 1883, it became the world's longest suspension bridge. It was considered the eighth wonder of the world at the time, and is now a National Historic Landmark.

You must go! There are always people on the bridge every day, including tourists, local residents, people riding bicycles for exercise, and a handsome auxiliary police officer sitting in a police car playing with his phone.

Although the Brooklyn Bridge is most beautiful at sunset, it also has special colors in the early morning.

People who jog in the morning are probably a powerful treasure for adding vitality!

Start your day in New York at this place where countless American TV series have been shown

By Metasequoia |

When we walked to the vicinity of the Brooklyn Bridge, it suddenly became lively. There were many small vendors at the starting point selling not-so-exquisite souvenirs, and there were also artists creating on the spot. A table and a portable lamp were enough to make a living.

The Brooklyn Bridge is the world's first steel bridge. Huge steel cables suspend the 1,800-meter bridge. During the 14-year construction period, not only a huge amount of money was invested, but 20 workers, including the designer, also lost their lives. When this milestone in human bridge history was completed, it immediately became a landmark in New York.

The bridge has two levels. The upper level is dedicated to pedestrians and bicycles, allowing visitors to watch the cars whizz by below. At the first pier, a massive "gate" blocks the path, with two passages above. Dense ropes extend from the highest point, centered around a fluttering American flag, to either end. This scene has become a classic scene in numerous movies.

Looking back at Manhattan, the skyscrapers are lined up in an orderly manner and are brightly lit.

My favorite place in Manhattan - whether it's the sunshine, the bridge or the river, I highly recommend it

By Fish Flower |

Connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City, it is the largest suspension bridge in the world and the first steel wire suspension bridge used in the world.

By money3277 |

It connects Manhattan and Brooklyn, and past it is Lower Manhattan. It is very close to the 9/11 site and Wall Street. You can take a boat to Liberty Island at the pier not far away.

By XINBAO |

It's a spectacular bridge. Walking from Brooklyn to Lower Manhattan, you can see all kinds of beautiful scenery along the way.

By CAT |

The night view is beautiful, and there is a Shake Shack next to it

By Raul&Vincy |

The Brooklyn Bridge is some distance away from the Wall Street area and can be reached on foot in 20 minutes. There are crowds of people on and under the bridge. If you want to take photos, it is recommended to go early when there are fewer people.

By Lin Qi |

The bridge is beautiful both on and under the bridge. It is worth a visit and very comfortable.

By Jie Yatou |

The wooden floor feels good when you walk on it.

The bridge is divided into two levels, the lower level is for cars, and the upper level is for pedestrians and bicycles. There is a clear white line between bicycles and sidewalks.

Almost every movie shot in New York City will include a shot of the Brooklyn Bridge, as if seeing the Brooklyn Bridge is the only way to truly experience New York. There is also the Manhattan Bridge next to it, but the Brooklyn Bridge is always more beautiful and more classic.

By Jolene Gao |

If you have free time, you can go for a walk. I don’t think it is the first choice for traveling in New York.

By Aqb |

Templates of world city photos constantly appear in various film and television dramas and are worth a visit.

By If dependent |

It is recommended to go there at sunset when the sunlight shines on the steel bridge, which is particularly beautiful!

By Chris |

In the afternoon, take a cruise to the Statue of Liberty at Pier 15 and overlook the bridge from South Street Seaport.

By Adrian.Z |

From a few dozen meters away, you'll be captivated by the two Gothic arches in the middle of the bridge. The American flag in the middle flutters in the breeze, making it very eye-catching.

There are three ways to access the bridge: walking, cycling, and driving. The bridge is divided into two levels: the lower level is for cars, and the upper level is for pedestrians and cyclists, with a demarcation separating the pedestrian and bicycle paths. Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn is quite a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it was rainy when we visited, and the rain intensified halfway through, so we had to give up and turn back, leaving us with a small regret.

By ABOOHOWAER |

The weather was fantastic that day, around 25 degrees Celsius, and it was a Sunday, so it was packed with tourists. The scenery was fantastic. The last time I walked on this bridge was nearly five years ago, before the World Trade Center was even built.

By Leonard |

The Manhattan Bridge seems taller and more majestic, with trains passing through it, while the Brooklyn Bridge is smaller, mainly used by vehicles and tourists. The trails in Brooklyn are very narrow, and half of them are reserved for bicycles, so it is quite crowded.

By LEO Makiki |

The Brooklyn Bridge, connecting New York's Brooklyn and Manhattan districts, is truly impressive, and visitors can walk across it for free. Legend has it that when the bridge was first built, the designers and many workers, unknowingly developing decompression sickness while removing sediment from the seabed, ultimately paralyzed many. Interested parties can also watch the film "Brooklyn Bridge."

By Scorpio Butterfly |

It's really beautiful! Built in 1875! It has a history of over a hundred years!

By White comet |

Note that you have to walk up the bridge from the pedestrian walkway. Travel guides often say it's tiring and hot, but I experienced it myself this time. Walking slowly from one side to the other takes about 50 minutes. The path is divided into bike lanes and pedestrian paths. This bridge is said to be nearly a century old, and it looks heavy and historic. It's not that the US can't undertake large-scale projects, but rather that they're no longer done for environmental and cultural reasons. There were many beautiful women taking photos on the bridge, which was a feast for the eyes.

By Lucky |

The bridge is really famous and very majestic. The weather is good and you can see the Statue of Liberty.

By Lu Jing |

I walked here after visiting Wall Street. It was such a long walk that I almost gave up.

Spanning New York City's East River, connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan, it opened in 1883 and was the world's longest suspension bridge at the time. It was also the first bridge built of steel. Upon its completion, it was considered the eighth wonder of the world after the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and one of the seven groundbreaking architectural wonders of the Industrial Revolution. With so many accolades, it's a must-see.

The bridge is very long...it's nice to take photos. There are many people running and cycling on the bridge, so be careful when taking photos.

By saplings |

It's worth going. The scenery on the bridge is good. There used to be a few locks and fine signs. I really like the fine sign. The photos on the bridge will also be beautiful.

One of New York's landmarks, a classic scene from the opening credits of Beijingers in New York!

By Guan Guan_SamanthaKi |

I believe that when you think of the United States and New York, this place is indispensable. Since you are in New York, how can you not walk on this oldest bridge?

Walking on the bridge is very shocking. It is hard to believe that such a bridge was built so long ago. There is also a bicycle lane for citizens to ride bicycles. Everyone should be careful of bicycles when enjoying the beautiful scenery.

By Dust-soaked Dust-soaked |

There is a cable car leading to Brooklyn, which is cheap and good value, and you can observe the Brooklyn Bridge up close. I highly recommend it.

By Deli's century-long legacy |

This bridge is a frequent setting in American films and television series, including "2 Broke Girls," "Gossip Girl," and "Gangs of New York." Walking along the promenade, you'll see messages in languages around the world. If you bring a pen or ask a friendly friend around the world, you can leave your best wishes here.

By Li Ruoxi💦 |

The Brooklyn Bridge looks exactly like the one in the movies. You don't need any photography skills to capture its majestic grandeur. There are many tourists coming and going on the bridge. Everyone strikes a pose, trying to keep a unique memory of themselves and this bridge. The bridge is quite long, so I decided to walk back through the arch. As I walked back, I could see the buildings of Manhattan, which contrasted with the bridge. I really felt like a New Yorker.

Tips: Friends who like taking photos are advised not to go too late, because when the sun is about to set in the evening, Manhattan is in the backlight.

By Long-legged kangaroo |

The Brooklyn Bridge is New York City's most iconic and photographed bridge. Opened in May 1883, it spans the East River, connecting Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Originally an elevated pedestrian walkway, it now features a vehicular lane. The world's first suspension bridge, it held the title of longest for 20 consecutive years, until it finally lost it in 1903. The color of the Brooklyn Bridge has long been controversial, with some claiming it boasts a proud pale yellow, while others claim it reflects its original rust-red color. While the bridge is clearly marked with signs prohibiting the use of lifelong locks, you can still see determined couples attaching locks just out of reach.

By flat |

One of the landmarks of New York, this scene is seen in many movies and TV series. You can see it when you take a boat tour of the Statue of Liberty without having to go there specifically.

By Teddy Bear |

Went there on September 18, 2017.

Construction on the Brooklyn Bridge began in 1869 and was completed in 1883. It's one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. At 1,834 meters long, with a main span of 486 meters, it was the world's longest suspension bridge at the time. It was also the first bridge built of steel and is considered one of the seven architectural marvels of the Industrial Revolution.

As a landmark of New York City, Brooklyn frequently appears in New York-related photography, painting, and film. The granite towers and steel cables evoke a classic mid-19th-century Industrial Revolution aesthetic, imbued with a contemporary feel.

The bridge has both a roadway and pedestrian paths, reaching New York City Hall on one end in Manhattan. Therefore, you'll occasionally see protesters marching from Brooklyn along the bridge to New York City Hall. I happened to be there on the day of the demonstration, and seeing many working-class people walking down the bridge and converging at City Hall was a truly remarkable sight in a democratic society.

A visit here can be combined with other attractions in Lower Manhattan, such as the Statue of Liberty and Wall Street. For example, you can visit Wall Street in the morning, then visit the Statue of Liberty. After returning to Manhattan, find a place to have lunch and rest, and then visit the Brooklyn Bridge in the afternoon.

Haha, one of the attractions I'm most looking forward to is the Brooklyn Bridge. It's not far from Wall Street, just a few subway stops away. I read the guide and found that the Brooklyn Bridge is very beautiful when the weather is good. So I took advantage of the good weather to walk on the bridge. The whole journey is not far, I recommend it.

The wind on the bridge is so strong that my face is deformed.

Arriving at the park near the Brooklyn Bridge, with its lawns and green paths, I saw couples taking wedding photos, children running and playing, strollers being pushed, and families cuddling on the lawn. Basking in the sun and breeze, watching the ripples on the river and admiring the hazy afternoon view of Lower Manhattan, I felt incredibly comfortable and at ease.

By Miss Flea who loves to dance |

It took me a long time to find the bridge entrance. I felt like I'd circled it countless times and asked countless people before I finally found it. Under an archway, there was a small, hidden entrance with stairs. Just walk up and you're on the bridge. New York City can be quite cold in April, so if you're going there at night to take photos, be sure to dress warmly. It can be very windy once you're on the bridge, so be sure to stick to the right side when you're leaving; there seems to be a bike lane on the left.

In Brooklyn Bridge Park, you can take good photos of the bridge and the opposite landscape.

You can see many people jogging and others sitting quietly on the pier enjoying their free time. If you wait until sunset to go to Bridge Park and see the skyscrapers of Manhattan merge into one, it will be a beautiful sight.

The Brooklyn Bridge spans the East River, connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn. After the rain, the Brooklyn Bridge looked just like the one in my dreams—breathtakingly beautiful. The bridge has two paths: one for pedestrians and one for bicycles. If you have time, why not rent a bike and relax while riding the 1,834-meter-long bridge? Take in its charm.

Yesterday afternoon, Jason and I went to the Brooklyn Bridge! We parked in Manhattan and walked up! It felt okay, it's only 1800 meters long. We walked halfway to the middle and took a photo. It's been so cold lately that there's been a lot of scrambling, so not many people are going up there. It's worth a walk! It's the oldest and most meaningful suspension bridge.

The Brooklyn Bridge, one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States, spans the East River, connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City. It is a quintessential symbol of the American Dream. Cruises are available for panoramic views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The Brooklyn Bridge connects Brooklyn and Manhattan with pedestrians in the middle and vehicles on both sides. It takes about an hour to walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn.

There are so many great photo spots along the way, and it's a very pleasant walk when there aren't many people around. Don't miss it if the weather is nice! I loved the blue sky against the backdrop, and it's definitely one of my favorite New York attractions.

The three bridges spanning the East River—the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge, and the Washington Bridge—are collectively known as the BMWs of New York, and all three are great for taking photos.

#BrooklynBridge# is very close to our hotel, about a 15-20 minute walk. Ye Ye ran there one morning for a workout. Almost everyone who visits New York walks through it, and jogging or cycling across it is a daily New Yorker's favorite activity. We've been there twice together, and the bridge is absolutely stunning both in the morning and at sunset.

The Brooklyn Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time and the first bridge in the world built of steel. When it was completed, it was considered the eighth wonder of the world after the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is known as one of the seven epoch-making architectural wonders of the world during the Industrial Revolution.

When you come to New York, don't miss the sunrise over the Brooklyn Bridge. New York has a beautiful skyline, and the sunrise here is a unique sight.

There are seats on the bridge, which are very comfortable. The scenery is beautiful. I slowly waited for the sunrise.

For the first time, I felt that the sunrise was like salted egg yolk, a delicious salted egg yolk. Haha, the white clouds were dyed red, red and blue on top, and burnt yellow on the bottom. Nature is really the best color matcher.

The Brooklyn Bridge is the bridge that connects Manhattan and Brooklyn. Cars pass underneath, and the upper section is dedicated to pedestrians. I've been to New York several times, and I've been to the Brooklyn Bridge several times.

It takes about one kilometer to walk from one end of the bridge to the other. In fact, it is not only for tourism, but also for fitness.

The first time I went there was during my first fall break. At the beginning of fall, Teng took me for a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and we met up with Santong.

This was also the first time we met in New York.

The photos taken on this bridge are not too artistic.

The second time we went there was on Thanksgiving Eve of the following year. I took Baibai with me and went for a walk on the bridge again. The weather had obviously cooled down a bit, and I changed into a thicker coat.

There are as many people walking on the bridge as ever.

If the weather is good, you can see the Statue of Liberty from the sea.
