Empire State Building

Once the tallest building in the world, it is a symbol of the US economic recovery and a landmark building in New York.
The Empire State Building is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. New York State is also known as the Empire State, and the Empire State Building, as a symbol of New York and even the United States, got its name from this.
As one of the most iconic buildings in history, the Empire State Building holds numerous "best" honors: the longest-tenured skyscraper in the world, architects' favorite, number one in the world's top ten photography spots, the most energy-efficient building, the most romantic building, and the building most visited by celebrities.
There are 102 floors in total. The observation decks on the 86th and 102nd floors offer not only a panoramic view of New York, but also partial views of the four nearby states.
The 86th-floor observatory, featuring both indoor and outdoor elements, is New York City's highest open-air observation deck and has been used as a filming location for numerous films and television series. Centered on the building's spire, the observatory offers 360-degree panoramic views of New York City and the wider region. Visitors will enjoy unparalleled views of Central Park, the Hudson and East Rivers, the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, and more. The 102nd floor is an indoor observatory.
For Chinese visitors, the Empire State Building also offers free official Empire State Building commemorative certificates in both Chinese and English. These certificates can be collected at the Will Call Desk at the entrance. Each certificate is uniquely numbered and signed by the Empire State Building Observatory Director, making it a valuable collectible.
Free Wi-Fi is available in all indoor areas of the Empire State Building.
App Guide: Visitors can enjoy breathtaking New York City views while learning the history behind the iconic building. iOS users can search for "Official Empire State Building Guide" in the Apple Store, download it, and select the Chinese language pack for a Chinese interface and audio guide. Android users can download the app from Google Play outside of China.
The colors of the floodlights on top of the Empire State Building change depending on the time of day or major events; the best times to visit are 8 a.m., 3 p.m., or after 11 p.m.
The Empire State Building's new exhibition hall on the second floor officially opened on July 29, 2019.

The 102-story building, designed in the shape of a pencil, boasts a sturdy, simple design and sharp lines, resembling an architectural "King Kong." As the filming location for over 90 films, the Empire State Building has become a vibrant venue for romantic encounters, seemingly draped in a rosy hue. The most familiar examples are "Sleepless in Seattle" and "Beijing Meets Seattle," in which couples, after tortuous and often on-again relationships, ultimately tie the knot atop the Empire State Building.

It takes less than a minute to take the elevator up to the Empire State Building's 86th-floor open-air observation deck. The deck is essentially a four-sided balcony with a wire mesh railing, surrounding the central antenna tower. It's narrow, barely wide enough for two people to pass each other. The commanding view of Manhattan from this vantage point feels like an aerial photo. Millions of skyscrapers, each in a vast array of shapes and styles, stand like halberds, densely packed and arranged in an orderly fashion. Luxury cars cruise by, pedestrians swarm like ants, and the streets resemble an abyss. From the horizon, you can take in the entire New York City area and the surrounding "five states."

As soon as I walked out of Grand Central Station, I could see the Empire State Building from a distance.

The small model of the Empire State Building inside is cute, isn’t it?

We bought passes for the 86th and 102nd floors.

In fact, friends who come here for a long time can buy a city pass, which will be much cheaper.

But it does not include the 102nd floor~

After passing the corridor, prepare to go up to the 86th floor first.

I remember when I was in college, I watched "Beijing Meets Seattle".

I was deeply impressed by the Empire State Building.

So I had an inexplicable longing for this building.

After coming up, it really lived up to expectations.

Overlooking the whole of New York,

Prosperous yet lonely~

After we got up, the wind was really strong, but it couldn't stop everyone's enthusiasm.

The 360° night view is so fascinating from every angle.

I prefer night views to day views.

Night scene without exposure,

It's already 12 o'clock in the morning.

There is still a lot of traffic.

Next time I come, I must bring a tripod.

After being frozen on the 86th floor for almost two hours,

Arrived at the 102nd floor,

It's a very narrow room.

It feels noticeably brighter.

When Beijing meets Seattle, when Chuck Bass meets Blair Waldorf. When many people think of the Empire State Building, they probably think of Tang Wei and Wu Xiubo's encounter on the terrace. But because I was obsessed with "Gossip Girl" as a kid, I immediately think of the day Chuck waited for Blair there, flowers in hand. The Empire State Building has been the site of countless classics, witnessing countless screen classics like "Sleepless in Seattle," "Gossip Girl," and "Beijing Meets Seattle." Compared to the Statue of Liberty, to me, the Empire State Building is a more iconic New York landmark. There are also many celebrity photos atop the Empire State Building, and I even saw a few of my favorites displayed together. What was most surprising was seeing Li Yifeng and Jiang Shuying...

The Empire State Building is a must-see in New York City. I heard that during the day, the lines usually last at least two hours, and if you don't want to queue, you'll have to wait an hour. And the Empire State Building is primarily for nighttime views, open until 2 a.m. So, we decided to go at night! Around 10:45 p.m., the Empire State Building was completely deserted, with no lines at all. But looking at the diversion railings, you can imagine how long the lines would be during the day. A creative screen at the top of the elevator shows the elevation of the building during construction, as if the elevator ride is the actual construction itself. The night view of New York is truly breathtaking. When I used to play SimCity, I always thought the night view looked a bit fake, but standing atop the Empire State Building, it was like the real SimCity.

Enter the main gate and go up to the second floor. Give the staff your City Pass QR code to scan. Then go through security and wait in line for the elevator. Of course, this must-see attraction in New York is packed with tourists. I waited in line for an hour just to get to the elevator. Then I went up to the 83rd floor, and then took the stairs to the 86th floor observation deck.

The New York nightscape is truly breathtaking. A camera can't capture the unaided eye's view of this world-class metropolis. After circling the observation deck, I couldn't stand the cold any longer and decided to head down. Of course, there was still a line to get down, and it took an hour to get up and another hour to get down, but it was worth it.

Standing atop the Empire State Building, you can gaze down upon Manhattan, the ships passing on the Hudson River, and the city slowly coming to life in the afterglow of the setting sun. Feel the splendor of the ever-changing world. As the sun sets, the lights come on, a dazzling display of lights. A quiet city suddenly comes alive. If you don't come, you'll never experience the vibrant atmosphere of Manhattan. Manhattan's prosperity is unparalleled.

Standing at the Empire State Building, I thought of the last scene of the movie "Beijing Meets Seattle". Perhaps there are always some places that can symbolize both the times and love.

Manhattan is even more brilliant under the moonlight. Yes, you read that right, it is the moonlight. Not many people can take photos that make the moon look like the sun...

I kept walking and turning on the roof of the Empire State Building, admiring this beautiful city and its bustling neighborhoods from all angles.

Looking at the top of the Empire State Building, I ended my trip today. I spent $25 to buy a luxurious photo of myself with the Empire State Building.

Commonly known as the Pencil Building, "Sleepless in Seattle" and "Beijing Meets Seattle" were both filmed here.

The crowds on our visit were beyond imagination, even more than at Nanjing Confucius Temple. The line took 45 minutes! New Yorkers are so economical. If you don't want to queue, buy a ticket that doesn't require queuing. It's double the price!

So if you want to climb to the top, I really don’t recommend coming here. You can also see the Empire State Building at Rockefeller!

However, it is a must-visit place, so you can still pass by!

From the observation deck of the building, you can see the skyscrapers in the area of the new World Trade Center in lower Manhattan from afar. In the evening glow, they look particularly charming and full of modern atmosphere.

Take in the night view of Manhattan from the Empire State Building. You can see that at night, all the skyscrapers are brightly lit. Regardless of whether there are people in the office or not, the lights in the office are always on, which also creates such a unique and brilliant night view.

Walk from Times Square to the Empire State Building and climb to the summit. New York's tallest building holds the title of "world's tallest" for the longest time, holding it for 41 years, from its completion in 1931 to 1972. The Empire State Building stands 381 meters tall with 103 floors. With the addition of a 62-meter antenna in 1951, its total height reaches 443.7 meters. Designed by the architectural firm of Shreeve, Lamb, and Harmon, the building is an Art Deco-style structure and one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. From here, you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of New York City. In the 1933 version of "King Kong," King Kong climbed this recently completed building, which also serves as the setting for the film "Beijing Meets Seattle."

The 86th floor observation deck is the highest open-air observation deck in New York City. The 102nd floor observation deck is indoors. The wind is strong on the 86th floor, and the 102nd floor is said to have glass with poor reflective effect. I didn’t go up there, and not many people went there.

New York City, with its century-old history, is truly vast, combined with New Jersey. What I envy most is the visibility (and air quality). The Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge in the distance, the Flatiron Building nearby, and even the Nike logo on a rooftop—all are clearly visible. It truly embodies the essence of modern human civilization. The cold, late autumn breeze from the 86th floor of the Big Apple made me feel a little dizzy, and I forgot to pick up my commemorative certificate after returning.

PS: The "Seven Wonders of the Modern World" are the Panama Canal in Panama, the North Sea Conservancy in the Netherlands, the Empire State Building and Golden Gate Bridge in the United States, the CN Tower in Canada, the Itaipu Dam in Brazil, and the Channel Tunnel in the United Kingdom and France. This time, I saw two of them—the Empire State Building in the United States and the CN Tower in Canada.

Overlooking New York City's nightscape from a skyscraper is undoubtedly one of the top five things to do in New York City. Among the many skyscrapers offering night views, the Empire State Building is the most famous. Admiring the New York skyline from the Empire State Building during the day is also a truly remarkable experience.

We bought a CityPass, which grants access to the Empire State Building twice a day: once during the day and once at night. Both visits were to the main observation deck on the 86th floor, which felt quite high. We didn't spend too much time queuing either time, which was acceptable. While the Empire State Building was still crowded with tourists, there were still plenty of photo opportunities in all four directions.

Follow the map and take the subway to the Empire State Building. Look for the signs for "Observation Deck," which is the entrance to the observation deck. The Empire State Building has many doors, each with a guard. If you ask them where to get to the top, they will give you directions.

As a landmark and part of New York's skyline, the Empire State Building is a must-see. Climbing the Empire State Building offers a clear view of the densely populated Manhattan skyline, including the recognizable Flatiron Building.

By Roger |

For me, the Empire State Building is, to some extent, one of the symbols of New York. Even in the current New York skyline, it can be recognized from a distance with 100% recognition. What is even more unimaginable is that Americans built such a skyscraper in 1931. When visiting the building, you can see some preserved photos of the construction of the building, including the on-site working environment of the workers. It can be seen that the United States in that era also spent a lot of effort on large-scale construction and infrastructure. It was probably the "infrastructure maniac" of that era, and it was probably the only way for a great power to rise.

Empire State Building Observatory Recommendation Index: 7.5 points

By Leonard |

Rockefeller Center boasts a commanding view of Central Park, making it a perfect daytime destination. However, the Empire State Building is undeniably the best nighttime attraction. The Empire State Building at night offers a tangible glimpse into New York's bustling city, allowing you to breathe in the rare fresh air at the highest point of this crowded city. Located in the heart of Manhattan, surrounded by endless streetlights and towering skyscrapers, the city's daytime crowds become a beloved tourist attraction at night. The lines are generally manageable, as they're always moving. After reaching the 80th floor, you can avoid the long lines by taking the stairs to the 86th-floor observation deck, where there's a history guide on the 80th floor.

Today I stood atop the world—the world-famous Empire State Building in New York City. The dusky Manhattan skyline, bathed in the setting sun, suddenly shone brightly beneath my feet. It was a perfect fusion of classical and modern culture, a perfect blend of modernity and romance. Gazing out at the vibrant lights and prosperity in the distance, my messy brushstrokes couldn't capture the thrill of my soul... The setting sun slowly faded outside the window, the pristine white clouds gave way to curling black clouds, and the blue sky gradually took on a faint pink hue. The world seemed to be hushing.

By Metasequoia |

Completed on April 11, 1931, this high-rise building is a landmark in New York City. It holds the distinction of being the world's tallest skyscraper for the longest time. The film "King Kong" premiered on March 2, 1933, and the gimmick of a gorilla climbing onto the building's roof served as a major publicity boost. In 2004, the Empire State Building's lights were turned off for 15 minutes to commemorate the death of Fay Wray, the film's lead actress.

I went to Penn Station today to check out the terrain because I will be going to Washington, D.C. from here next week. Penn Station is on 34th St.

The Empire State Building is nearby. The weather was beautiful along the way, and the scenery was beautiful. Koreatown is very close to the Empire State Building. Following the navigation, we arrived at this restaurant. They had a lunch special.

Business is booming here, and the environment is very ordinary. Side dishes. This kind of flying saucer set meal is also available in China, with cheese and pumpkin soup next to the hot pot. Cut into small pieces with scissors. Marbled beef, fat and lean. Bibimbap. The waiter helped to grill it. The meat is rolled up in vegetable leaves and eaten. The marbled beef is juicy and tender. Although it is not melt-in-your-mouth, it is still delicious when wrapped in vegetable leaves. The portion is large and I am very satisfied. Instructions for how to eat it. Roast potatoes and vegetables together. Seasoned steak can be eaten directly after grilling, and the flavor is absorbed. Korean barbecue is juicy and tender, rich in flavor, and eaten with vegetable leaves. It is fatty but not greasy, and refreshing. Ranked sixth in the food tour.

This was so disappointing. It was a complete rip-off. I spent $38 to climb an old building, and the view was nothing special. All I could see were old neighborhoods. And it was only about 300 meters high. Knowing this would have made me not even want to go up for $10.

We had originally planned to go up to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building to see the view, but it's been incredibly cold and windy in New York lately. We didn't have our down jackets on when we arrived, so we'd be blasted to death by the wind. Our hair would be a mess, and photos wouldn't look good. Why bother getting so messy?! So we decided not to go up, and instead took a photo together at the model on the first floor, which would have been our check-in.

The large LED screen on the first floor also plays photos of celebrities who have visited the Empire State Building, including a photo of Wu Xiubo and Tang Wei (it seems they don't pay much attention to entertainment news).

By Jie Yatou |

It would be a shame to visit Manhattan and not climb the Empire State Building. On our last day in New York, I absolutely had to make this pilgrimage. I first learned about the Empire State Building when I watched Sleepless in Seattle, and later, Tang Wei reunited with Wu Xiubo there. How could I not visit such a romantic place?

There are two types of Empire State Building tickets: one for the 86th floor observatory, $37 per person and $31 per child; the other for the 86th and 102nd floors, $57 per person and $51 per child. I personally think the 86th floor is more than enough, and if the weather is nice, I recommend going early and choosing a time slot. We used our NY City Explorer Pass to exchange for tickets to the 86th floor; if you want to go to the 102nd floor, you'll need to pay extra.

We arrived at 8am and there was basically no one there, no endless queues as they say. The decor was old and the doorman was dressed in a typical American uniform.

The experience was great with fewer people. The elevator first went to the 80th floor to see the history of the building. When riding the elevator, there was a video on the top of the elevator playing the construction process of the Empire State Building.

The building was completed on May 1, 1931, and stands 381 meters tall. A closer look at the guardrails and other details reveals its age. The Empire State Building represents a glorious era, a time when skyscrapers were built and American steel and manufacturing were world-class.

Today in New York, it's gloomy. Climbing the Empire State Building is a dream for many girls. Although the weather wasn't great, there weren't many people around. Enjoying our very own Empire State Building rooftop. It's where Tang Wei opened the glass door in "Beijing Meets Seattle." This is a sanctuary for love and King Kong's favorite. So excited, hahaha.

By the way, when you go up the Empire State Building, someone will take pictures of you, and when you go down, they will ask you if you want photos. We bought a photo package, which included 2 10-inch night view photos and a 10-inch Empire State Building magnetic sticker set, as well as an 8-second electronic version of the animated photo. It seemed to be around $27.

Climb the Empire State Building, a landmark of American history, and take in the breathtaking views of New York City, from Central Park to Wall Street, from dusk to sunset!

By Xin Xiaochao |

I took advantage of the opportunity to climb the Empire State Building, a landmark in New York, just before sunset. Although I've already climbed Rockefeller Center to see the night view, overlooking Manhattan's skyscrapers during the day is a completely different experience. I'm glad I didn't miss it. I especially loved the unique reflections.

In Manhattan, the Empire State Building is like the French faith in the Eiffel Tower. As long as you look up and see it, you'll always take a few extra glances to feel safe. When I left New York, the last photo on my phone was of the Empire State Building. Strangely enough, I didn't feel reluctant to leave. This may be the biggest difference between a city that belongs to you and one that doesn't.

By Daniel Qiao Shao |

Top three must-see attractions in New York. Although it looks like a tall building, its significance is far greater than that of a tall building. There are two observation decks on different levels, and the ticket prices are different. I recommend visiting both. The views are amazing and you can complete the tour in about 2 hours.

By clouds |

We were in the lobby preparing to take the elevator to the 86th floor, but we had to go through security on the second floor first. Our tickets only went to the 86th floor, but we really wanted to go to the top floor. The romantic feelings in the movie were there.

Overlooking Manhattan, New York from the 86th floor, the densely packed skyscrapers represent a most prosperous city, where many dream chasers have achieved success.

By PEACH |

You really have to choose a good weather time to visit the Empire State Building. It was cloudy when we came, and the fog blocked our view. The weather in New York was not very good during the days we visited, and it occasionally rained, so the view was not very clear.

By Emilie 💋 Walking Alone |

Before I knew it, I had exceeded my expectations.

I happened to live nearby and missed Beijing's autumn.

But I encountered snow in New York❄️

Even though I was alone, I still stayed and played for three hours.

This snowstorm makes this place even more beautiful.

By SpiderPig |

We successfully climbed the Empire State Building. The night view of New York is quite good. The weather is also good today so we can see far away. The elevator is very interesting. Remember to look up.

By Good Time |

I have seen it countless times in movies, and finally came here today. It is similar to Shanghai, but the city is more prosperous.

By Lan Zhien |

We took the elevator to the 80th floor, which was all glass windows, so the photos weren't great. After walking around, we took another elevator to the 86th floor, which was open-air with only a metal fence, but the photos were fantastic. Even though it was past 10 p.m., there were still a lot of people taking photos, so finding a good spot wasn't easy.

By little Jane |

It's so beautiful. The view of New York at night is so stunning. The pink clouds against the blue sky are breathtaking.

By vicky |

It wasn't crowded around 11 o'clock. We quickly took the observation elevator to the 86th floor, where we could overlook the entire city of Manhattan.

Taken from the 80th floor of the Empire State Building

It's nice to have a panoramic view of New York.

By White comet |

The building has several doors, only one of which is the tourist entrance. The waiter at the door will give you directions. I bought an e-ticket on China-TravelNote in advance. After passing the security check, I scanned the code and entered directly. It was very convenient. I went directly to the 80th floor and took the elevator to the 86th floor. After a circle, I had a deep understanding of the panoramic view of New York. I could directly take pictures of the Flatiron Building. Many people were waiting to take pictures of the sunset and night view. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the patience to play with this petty bohemian style. After feeling the height of New York, I went down.

By Lu Jing |

The Empire State Building was our first stop in New York. We bought a CityPASS for fast-track access, so we went up to the 2nd or 3rd floor first, then to the 80th floor, which was a quick trip (less than a minute). There was a glass observation deck, and then we went up to the 86th floor skydeck. The weather was perfect, and the view was stunning. I wanted to take some photos, but it took me forever, hahaha. It was truly stunning. At a glance, the entire New York landscape was in full view.

I recommend going there when the weather is good, and the scenery during the day is also nice.

By aunt |

They say the queues at the Imperial Tower are incredibly long, taking at least half an hour or an hour to get in, so we allowed some time to wait in line... But! We made it to the top floor straight away, quickly, and in a daze.

Before I saw this view, I really thought I was in a fake Empire State Building.

But, when I arrived at the 86th floor rooftop, I was so excited~~~ I was finally here, the holy place that represents love in my heart!!!

Looking around the rooftop, I felt that the sweetness of each couple was much more attractive than the rigid Manhattan view.

Looking down at the panoramic view of Manhattan, we found the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center to be more traditional and romantic. However, we probably spent 15 minutes squatting in one spot trying to get a photo of the Empire State Building without any tourists.

Just show up at the location, no need to book tickets in advance, and the lines are smooth. I bought a ticket for the 86th floor. They say the 86th floor has an open-air observation deck, while the 102nd floor is only indoors. From the 86th floor, you can see the entire New York City below: a forest of skyscrapers, a crisscross of neatly arranged streets. It's a feeling you can only imagine, not describe.

Queuing time: The longest time is in the evening, about 1 hour, but the queuing process is not bad, because the interior of the building is very exquisite, and you can "appreciate" it during the queuing process

After successfully reaching the top, it is not easy to squeeze in. There are so many people, see the picture. Hold on to the best position and wait quietly for others to leave.

It still takes an hour to get down. There are only two elevators. Another way is to walk from the 81st floor to the 65th floor and then take the elevator. Okay, forget it.

You can buy some gifts at the souvenir shop along the way.

In general, when visiting New York, you don’t have to care how many people are around the must-see attractions. Just quietly appreciate the scenery and night view of New York city, and you will find that the noise around you will disappear. Believe me.

I went there in early July and was blown away by the cold when I climbed the Empire State Building. It was truly freezing, so I think everyone should bring an extra jacket just in case. From above, I could see the beauty of New York City and feel the city's charm.

The Empire State Building is open 365 days a year, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 AM. The elevator ascends to the 86th floor. From there, there are two options: take the cramped elevator or walk up the stairs to the 102nd floor. We chose to challenge ourselves on foot. The 102nd-floor observation deck is open-air and surrounded by iron railings. Being so high up, the wind is strong and quite cold, so it's best to bring warm clothing. Of course, the area is often packed with tourists, and the heat builds, so you'll need to rely on others for warmth. A panoramic view of the financial district can be seen from the south. Tip: Come before sunrise to watch the sunset and after sunset to enjoy the night view—kill two birds with one stone. It's said that New York City was built with daylight in mind, with some major streets facing the setting sun at sunset, creating a "golden avenue" effect before sunset. The Empire State Building maintains its tradition of constantly changing colors thanks to the beacon on its roof, which is green today. The Empire State Building is also very photogenic, having appeared countless times in movies and television, most memorably in the films "King Kong" and "Ghost."

Unfortunately, we were not allowed to go upstairs when we went there. We could only look at it from outside and downstairs.

When we arrived at the Empire State Building, there were very few people. We didn't have to queue or exchange tickets. We took the elevator directly to the 86th floor. When we got to the outdoor observation deck, we found that the fog was too thick at this height. There were clouds everywhere below and we couldn't see anything, not even a light. We walked around and took the elevator down again.

The Empire State Building carries more than just the scenery; countless movie plots have been played out here.

The movie "Beijing Meets Seattle" has catapulted the Empire State Building into the spotlight, seemingly equating romance with it. The world is so vast, and meeting here is truly magical! Having suffered a setback from Rockefeller, we woke up early, anticipating a packed sunset viewing. We were incredibly resourceful, entering as soon as the doors opened, seemingly entering a deserted space. Wherever there should have been a line, it was clear. Best of all, the Empire State Building accepts QR codes! No need for a ticket exchange line! Access to the 86th floor was a breeze. You'll first encounter a glass floor; just head straight to the top. The rooftop terrace is surrounded by railings, allowing for perfect photography through the gaps. It was a cloudy day, and the wind was incredibly strong. The rooftop security guards were fully armored, and since we'd been scorching yesterday, we were wearing less today. So, despite the biting cold, we were still shaking as we took photos. Ha, I guess that's a kind of romance. Here, you can enjoy Manhattan in the early morning from a bird's-eye view.

I climbed up to the rooftop early before sunset. I could see the entirety of Manhattan Island, and even the desolate Brooklyn in the distance. I walked slowly, taking it all in.

A trip to New York City is a must, and you'll definitely want to climb the Empire State Building to take in the city's famous sights: Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, and many more. The Empire State Building's main observation deck is on the 86th floor, and the top deck is on the 102nd floor. As someone who's not afraid of heights, I definitely headed straight for the 102nd floor. The view is even more stunning at night!

The Empire State Building offers two floors for visitors: the 86th floor, an observation deck, features information about the city, and the 102nd floor, an outdoor observation deck. While not enclosed by glass, it is protected by a high wire mesh fence for added security. Gazing from the Empire State Building, the surrounding skyscrapers seem to shrink to the size of toys. Some people, taking photos, pretend to pinch the roofs of other buildings. The view from atop is breathtaking, but even more striking is the speed the building represents at the time. Construction was completed at a rate of four and a half floors per week. Although the building attracted little business in its first few years after completion, earning it the nickname "Skyscraper," after decades of ups and downs, the Empire State Building has become a symbol of New York and even the entire United States, towering over the heart of Manhattan. So much so that the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks initially targeted it, but fortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful.

A New York landmark. From here you can overlook the entire Manhattan, especially at night, when countless neon lights present the most perfect modern city night view, without a doubt.

As a landmark building in New York, it has been used as a filming location for many movies and TV series.

Recommended visit time: 4 hours

Recommended to go on weekdays

This way you can basically go up without queuing

Choose to go up around 5 pm and you can enjoy the beautiful sunset over Manhattan soon.

After sunset, you can still feel the brilliance of Manhattan at night

I stayed there for almost 5 hours.

Because there are more people

If you want the best photo location, you have to wait in the back.

The Empire State Building, once the tallest building in the world, has been featured in numerous films, including "King Kong," "Independence Day," and "Sleepless in Seattle." Even the elevator itself is filled with real-life scenes! So what are you waiting for? Go!

The ground floor lobby features an Art Deco-inspired ceiling mural depicting planets and stars in the form of mechanical gears, a tribute to the machine age. The mural is made of 24-karat gold and aluminum sheets. A luminous sculpture of the Empire State Building itself adorns the front desk wall of the Fifth Avenue lobby. The 80th floor is home to the official merchandise store, where you can buy Empire State Building apparel, holiday decorations, and other Empire State Building-related merchandise. The 86th floor is home to the Observatory, New York City's highest open-air observation deck. As a world-renowned observation deck, it has served as a filming location for dozens of films and television series, and has captured countless memorable moments.

Anyone with a movie-themed fascination will be captivated by this place. The Empire State Building is a must-see when it appears in movies and TV series depicting New York. It feels like a place I've always dreamed of visiting. So, when I stood on the 86th floor of the Empire State Building, gazing down at the towering skyscrapers of Manhattan, a wave of emotion washed over me. The entire city was in my sight.

Go down to the first floor of the building to get a commemorative certificate.

The Empire State Building, once the world's tallest building, towers over Fifth Avenue. This majestic landmark has been made famous worldwide through over 90 films. Its romantic atmosphere brought together Sam and Annie in "Sleepless in Seattle," and has drawn countless people seeking passionate love.

The Empire State Building is a perfect fusion of modernity and the past. Nearly 100 years ago, this 381-meter-tall behemoth rose from the ground in this country, a country with a relatively short history.

There was still a long line nearing midnight. We went in directly with our passes. As a fan of tall buildings, the Empire State Building was the least worthwhile attraction today. It was crowded, the facilities were poor, the views weren't great, and we went on a beautiful day...

The building, which held the title of world's tallest for 41 years, is the soul of New York. No matter where you are in New York, you will want to stop and stare at it for a few seconds. As a world-famous observation deck, it has been the filming location for dozens of movies and TV series. The observation deck surrounds the top of the building and offers a 360-degree view of New York City.

I booked my ticket online in advance, and it cost around $70 per person. The Empire State Building has two entrances: one for staff and the other for visitors. Be sure not to go through the wrong one. After entering, go up to the second floor, where you'll need to go through security and exchange your tickets. Then, take the elevator to the 80th floor, where you'll find information about the Empire State Building. It's a large, flat floor, quite similar to Taipei 101. After exploring this floor, take the elevator to the 83rd floor. There's a terrace where you can go outside and circle the building, perfect for photographing the New York sunset and nightscape. It was cloudy the day I visited, so I didn't get to take any sunset photos. Remember to dress warmly; it was incredibly cold once you get outside. I couldn't stand the howling wind after just 10 minutes.

The queue was so long that it made me vomit blood... To be honest, I prefer the indoor viewing area. The 102nd floor gave me a headache, but that was where Chuck confessed his love after all.

If you come at sunset, it would be perfect like this, as you can witness New York from dusk to the stars.

Today, the speed of China's skyscraper construction is shocking to the world. However, don't forget that more than 80 years ago, the United States was also a master of world infrastructure construction. Today, the United States is not incapable of such construction, but because of its needs and the need for financial support for many more important industries. In fact, even if the speed and quality of the United States' infrastructure construction today are not as good as China's, it is still much better than more than 90% of the countries in the world.

A must-see in New York is the Empire State Building's night view. We used the New York Explorer Pass, which allowed us to enter directly from the east side of the Empire State Building, skipping the separate ticket lines and simply scanning the QR code. We took the elevator up to the 80th floor for indoor viewing, then up to the 86th floor for outdoor viewing. The outdoor area is surrounded by iron fences, allowing us to reach out and take photos. The night view is truly stunning.

The Empire State Building is a 20-minute walk south from Times Square. It's one of my New York City obsessions. Anyone who's seen GG knows Chuck originally wanted to propose to Blair on the 88th floor.

But because we went there at night, the wind was so strong that I felt like I would be blown bald, so it was not as romantic as I had imagined at first.

I highly recommend the VIP tour, as there's no need to queue! Even in April, New York is as cold as winter.

The scene you see with your eyes is many times more beautiful than the one in the picture. You really can only understand it by going up there and feeling it.

As the oldest vantage point overlooking New York, the Empire State Building carries more than just the scenery. Countless movie plots have been played out here.

We chose to arrive at dusk, when the weather was perfect, so we could enjoy the night view of the Manhattan skyline. I think it was a wise choice; it wouldn't be too cold to reach the summit during the day. And! New York City is absolutely stunning under the setting sun, sometimes strong, sometimes radiant, sometimes gentle.

There were so many people lining up at the Empire State Building, and it started to rain right after we got to the observation deck. Before the rain, the Empire State Building was shrouded in fog, and after the downpour, the sun began to shine, which was quite a unique experience.

By Golden Terrace Sunset |

You can climb to the top and overlook the New York City. It is also a good place to take photos.

A must-see place in New York, recommended at night!

Be prepared for long lines at the Empire State Building; no one can skip the lines, and those vendors' claims are deceptive. The elevator line goes to the 80th floor, and then to the 86th floor, which takes at least half an hour. If you want to take photos of the sunrise and sunset, go there early.

Along Fifth Avenue, you'll reach the Empire State Building, once the tallest building in the world. Manhattan is home to many skyscrapers, but the Empire State Building truly represents New York, and even the United States. It's been featured in countless Hollywood movies, and almost everyone who dreams of the American Dream has a connection to the Empire State Building. On the 86th floor, there's a 360-degree outdoor observation deck offering panoramic views of Manhattan.

From movies like "King Kong" to the romantic drama "Beijing Meets Seattle," the Empire State Building has been a popular photo spot for many tourists. It's a beloved destination for every romantic-minded woman. Using a coin-operated machine allows for a closer look at the scenery. (First, choose a good day. It was foggy the day we went, so visibility was limited.) We went around 11 PM, and it wasn't too crowded. My advice is to avoid busy times, like around 9 PM or even in the afternoon. The night view is truly stunning. You can queue up for photos (stay close to the railings for a great view of the night outside). Don't stand in one spot for too long; give others some space to take photos. You can move around a bit. The foggy night view is still beautiful.

One of the must-see places in New York, overlooking New York from the Empire State Building, every time is so special, so unique

It was a bit of a disaster to go to the Empire State Building during the winter break. The wind was so strong and cold that my phone was frozen and turned off. I suggest that friends who go there in winter must pay attention to keeping warm. It is best to go on a weekday when there are not many people. It is especially good. I went on Tuesday from 4 to 4:15 and was on the 86th floor. The night view of New York is really amazing, very beautiful
