I went to Hawaii with my husband and booked a trip to Kualoa Ranch in advance. We chose the ATV route, which cost over 1,000 and included round-trip transportation.

The bus came to our hotel to pick us up. We were the only two Chinese on the bus, the rest were Japanese.

Kualoa Ranch offers a variety of routes to choose from, and the arrangements are very reasonable. Although the weather is a bit gloomy, which makes the scenery not so beautiful, the whole experience is 100 points!

We tried two activities this time: the Valley Experience Tour and the Ocean Tour. After half a day, I felt that this was an absolutely must-see attraction on Oahu! It was really great!

Valley Experience: 90 minutes

Arrive at the meeting point at nine o'clock in the morning, check in with your ticket, and there will be Chinese, English and Japanese tour guides. Don't get on the wrong bus.

We boarded the old school bus and set off for the familiar Ka'a'awa Valley. As we started, we saw various fish and shrimps and Angus cattle farms. Watching the cows walking slowly on the grass, the scene was so harmonious.

The most exciting thing is to see the filming locations of more than 50 of Hollywood's biggest movies and TV shows, even classic Elvis shows from the 1960s, as well as movies that have not yet been released. All of this is an unprecedented experience.

The whole way was green, green, and green. It was an absolute natural oxygen bar. If I hadn't come to Kualoa Ranch in person, I really wouldn't have thought that I would come to Hawaii for the second time. I was completely unfamiliar with this city. At the same time, I was also glad that I had such a close contact with Kualoa this time.

Interestingly, we also discovered a stunning World War II army bunker, built entirely into the side of a mountain. Here, you'll find movie posters, props, and memorabilia from films shot in Kualoa over the years, as well as a wealth of Kualoa WWII artifacts and exhibits. Movie fans are sure to find a variety of touching details here.

Ocean Journey: 90 minutes

Depart from Moli'i Pier and visit the iconic Straw Hat Island. The scenery along the way is so beautiful.

On the second floor of the catamaran, the scenery is even more stunning, and the azure blue is simply breathtaking.

We were a little timid in the middle of the ocean, feeling the turbulence. But looking out into the distance, we felt better. The tour was breathtaking, with spectacular views of the Ko'olau Mountains and historical narration from our guide.

We didn't book a cruise during our two trips to Hawaii, but Kualoa Ranch offered a truly satisfying experience. The time spent on the boat was the highlight of our ocean adventure, and we truly had a blast at sea. The scenery still resonates with me, and I doubt I'll ever forget it.

Coming to Kualoa Ranch is definitely an experience you can’t miss on Oahu, Hawaii!

This ranch, covering nearly 4,000 acres and primarily used for cattle grazing, was considered one of the most sacred places by ancient Polynesians.

This is also where movies like "Jurassic Park," "Pearl Harbor," and "Windtalkers" were filmed, as well as the TV series "Lost." The latest Japanese version of "50 Broken Hearts" was also filmed here!

The ranch has a full range of recreational facilities: horseback riding, shooting, tropical rainforest exploration, movie location exploration, off-road vehicle traversing the wilderness, swimming, snorkeling, etc. As long as you want to experience it, it has everything here.

Kualoa Ranch is a large ranch, but there is not much livestock farming now. It is famous because it is a popular filming location for Hollywood movies. Many movies and TV series such as Jurassic Park, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Lost were filmed here.

There are three ways to tour the ranch: take a group bus, ride a horse, or ride a single quad bike. Because it was raining and I didn't want to get splashed with mud, I asked my husband to book the bus tour.

Before boarding, everyone was given a disposable raincoat. Since the bus had no windows, splashing rain and mud could easily get on us. The driver also served as our guide, explaining the local history while driving. The bus stopped several times along the way for us to get off and take photos.

From Honolulu, take the H1 Freeway, exit at LikeLike Highway, and continue straight to the ranch gate. Tickets were pre-booked on China-TravelNote.com, which included a one-hour jungle adventure, a one-hour ATV ride, a 1.5-hour ocean adventure, and a buffet lunch. The price was around 1,200 RMB, which is quite expensive.

After arriving at the ranch, go to exchange the electronic ticket first. The staff will explain the time and sequence of each project. Just follow the instructions.

First, we went on a jungle adventure. We took a 6-wheel jeep and went up the mountain and back. The road was bumpy, and the driver arranged several photo spots for us to check in.

In fact, when I saw this mountain from afar, I thought it looked very attractive. It was steep and towering, with cliffs thousands of feet high. At the foot of the mountain were primeval forests and grasslands. After I got closer, the driver introduced me to the legendary Kualoa Ranch. Many movies, such as the Jurassic Park series and Windtalkers, were filmed here.

From a distance, I saw Kualoa Ranch, the filming location for the Jurassic Park series. It became famous overnight... and the annual income was incredibly high. When I bought the land, it was only a few hundred dollars...

By Wang Amei |

As expected of the filming location of many major movies, it is quite shocking. The scenery is beautiful when driving along the beach from Waikiki Beach.

Kualoa Ranch is very large and can be explored through a variety of tours. Options include horseback riding, ATV rides, movie set tours, jungle adventure tours, secret island tours, plantation tours, ocean cruises, and ziplining. Some of the tours, such as the ATV ride, follow essentially the same route as the movie set tours. Avoid repeating these routes and explore the entire ranch as much as possible, as each area offers a unique experience. The ATV ride is the most popular of the many options, so book as far in advance as possible. Since we booked late, we were able to book the ATV package, which includes the jungle adventure, ATV rides, and ocean cruise, allowing us to explore the entire ranch.

When I first arrived in Kualoa, past the ticket office behind the gift shop, I found the gathering area for various activities. Here, the entire scenery became wider, with sharp-edged mountains, very different from the mountains we usually see. It made me understand why this place attracts so many directors to shoot.

I love this place so much. I first learned about this beautiful place after seeing a video online. It turns out the giant dinosaurs in the movies lived here... This was a very important reason I chose to come to Hawaii. Who doesn't have a dinosaur dream? Hahaha.

"Jungle Adventure" was a green-skinned train ride with guides in English, Japanese, and Chinese. (Since there weren't many Chinese tourists, we were the only two on the train, which was fantastic.) The guides' Chinese was average, and many words were difficult to understand, so they sprinkled in some English to get the point across. Along the way, the guides would stop to explain things like bunkers, airports, a surviving sugar factory, and various movie props and filming locations.

I personally like this place very much. I spent a whole day here and was very happy.

You can see the foggy valley from a distance, just like you have really been to Jurassic Park.

It is said that the scene in Jurassic World where a group of dinosaurs eat grass and tourists roll around on balls was filmed on the grass here.

Kualoa Ranch was actually bought from the King of Hawaii by a doctor around 1850 and used as a private ranch.

Over the years, it has served as both a ranch and a temporary base for the US military. However, it has always preserved the authentic natural landscape and culture of Hawaii, with cattle, sheep, chickens, and pigs roaming the ranch. This has made it an ideal filming location for numerous films.

Kualoa Ranch offers a variety of activities to experience, such as horseback riding, ATV driving, jungle adventures, and exploring movie locations.

We took the Movie Sites Tour, which took a bus around the ranch and allowed us to see all the filming locations. There were also explanations in different languages.

In addition to the most famous Jurassic Park, Windtalkers, Pearl Harbor, Godzilla, and King Kong: Skull Island have all been filmed here.

The most bizarre thing is that Yang Mi and Huang Zitao's "Negotiator" was also filmed here... I don't understand the meaning of traveling so far to film an idol drama.

Kuoloa Ranch activities must be booked in advance. Popular activities may be fully booked a week in advance. If you don't make a reservation, you will end up like us, not being able to enjoy the activities you want.

In addition, at the entrance of the Kualoa Ranch air-raid shelter, you can see Straw Hat Island in the distance.

By Linda Li Li |

Setting foot on this land, it feels like you have really returned to the primitive jungle. Here, you can ride horses, shoot, explore off-road vehicles, swim, snorkel, take a boat ride, or take a high-speed jeep for a real and exciting jungle roller coaster. If you book the activities in advance, you can have a great time all day.

By Dreaming Ant |

We drove there by ourselves and only booked the movie tour. The essence of Kualoa Ranch is in the valley at the back, which cannot be seen from the periphery if you do not participate in the activities. Straw Hat Island can be seen from a park outside the ranch. There are souvenir shops and restaurants in the ranch. Even if you did not book a meal-included package, you can order meals here separately, which is quite convenient.

As a fan of the Jurassic series, Kualoa Ranch is a must-visit

Arriving at Kualoa Ranch before 9:30 AM, we collected our ticket for the event with our reservation and headed to the designated bus stop. Arriving earlier is fine, but they're asking us to come early, not just to avoid the lines, but also to encourage us to browse the souvenir shops. Our scheduled time arrived, and I'd really liked to ride the green, windowless bus, but there were two other couples from mainland China, so they sent a Chinese guide to drive us into the mountains.

As usual, the scenes are those that we have seen countless times in other people’s travel notes. Standing at the gate, the Kualoa Ranch looks really ordinary. Only after going around the back is the majestic valley that we are more familiar with. It is still worth a look.

Looking at Straw Hat Island from the mountain, the photos turned out to be average because of the bad weather. If you only want to see Straw Hat Island, you don’t need to come into Kualoa Ranch. The large grassland on the other side of the island is an open park with a dedicated parking lot, so you can watch it from very close.

The recent hit "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" has me really excited about Kualoa Ranch, as it's the filming location. In fact, this place has long been hailed as a Hollywood favorite. Hollywood blockbusters like Jurassic Park, Windtalkers, Pearl Harbor, Godzilla, Tears of the Sun, and 50 First Dates were all filmed here.

Guided tours are available in various languages, allowing you to choose from a variety of options, including a movie-set tour, a jungle adventure tour, an ocean tour, a tour of ancient fishponds and plantations, and even ATV rides, ziplining, horseback riding, and a mysterious island experience. We opted for the movie tour, which, after having seen the film, felt like being there, and seeing the ATVs zipping by was truly impressive! Listening to the commentary, breathing in the fresh air, and watching familiar scenes unfold before our eyes was truly a truly captivating experience. From steep cliffs to the shimmering ocean, from lush rainforests to expansive valleys, from beautiful white sand beaches to emerald cliff faces, the landscape here is incredibly diverse, beyond just pastures. Winding through the forest, serenely echoing with the chirping of birds, this jungle adventure offers breathtaking views of Ka'a'awa Valley, one of Oahu's most beautiful landscapes.

By Little Ma Ge |

(Book in advance; Ohuka only allows one per day.) So I paid for another tour myself. I chose the movie tour and the jungle tour. After all, there's no age limit for children. Kualoa Ranch has been a filming location for many Hollywood blockbusters, so it's worth a visit. For couples or a graduation trip, consider a horseback riding tour or a motorcycle tour. (These two tours are not available in Ohuka.)

The duration of a single project at Kualoa Ranch is 1.5 hours, and there is a buffet lunch at noon, which is included in the project activities (so you don’t have to worry about lunch)

For some of the projects at Kualoa Ranch, you can choose a Chinese tour guide.

By Shaine |

When I first arrived at the ranch, I was struck by the lush greenery. It was so beautiful. The mountains were lined up in rows, so different from what I usually see. Unfortunately, it was raining that day, so the clouds were thick. This ranch is often used as a filming location, and the walls are covered with posters from previous films. It was great; I only recognized Jurassic Park and King Kong. I saw the door that appears in the movie, and once I entered, I felt like I had truly entered Jurassic Park.

By PP |

I applied for three projects, all of which were good, including a film base, fish and plants raised on a ranch, etc.

By Go to bed early every day |

Kualoa Ranch has been a filming location for many movies, including Mysterious Island, Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, and Pearl Harbor. If you've seen the movies, this experience will resonate with you. After lunch at 1:00 PM, we drove to Kualoa Ranch. We arrived at 2:00 PM, and only tickets were available for the sightseeing bus tour of the movie locations. I highly recommend going early in the morning if you're interested in Kualoa Ranch, as tickets are readily available. There are many activities to enjoy, such as ziplining, horseback riding, and biking. Kualoa Ranch is like a vast grassland, but since I grew up in Xinjiang, I'm not particularly drawn to this kind of landscape. Plus, my arms were sore from the wind from my skydive that morning, and I was drowsy from getting up too early, so I fell asleep on the sightseeing bus.

My husband and I booked a day trip in advance, and it was a great choice! We took the bus to the ranch early in the morning. It was packed, and the bus would leave as soon as it was full. It took about an hour to get there from the city center, and we were a bit chilly when we got off the bus! Even wearing long pants that morning, we were still cold! So, we bought two hoodies at the gift shop right at the entrance. It was packed with people, as it was surprisingly cold. So, if you're going, remember to bring a long-sleeved jacket for warmth and sun protection! I didn't choose the motocross bikes when I booked the trip because I'm a bit afraid of them. You ride one person per bike, and if my husband wanted to ride them, he couldn't join us on site because it was so crowded. They gave us a piece of paper telling us when to queue for our scheduled activities, so be sure to plan your trip accordingly! The first activity was a scenic boat trip out to the sea. You'd have to take one of those movies-themed cars, which was bumpy but fun. The water was crystal clear, even better than Hanauma Bay. If you're lucky, you might spot sea turtles swimming in the water. There were some very rough sections, and the sea breeze was incredibly relaxing. The route weaved through the woods, offering stunning views of the sea halfway up the mountain. Along the way, we'd also see the filming location for "King Kong 3: Skull Island." The last activity was a movie tour. Because of the stunning natural beauty of this ranch, it's been used as a backdrop for many movies. Along the way, we entered an air-raid shelter, which showcased various filming locations. The vast grasslands were so captivating that any casual photo I took felt like a computer startup screen.

It is a 45-minute drive from Honolulu.

"Jurassic Park" was filmed here, and the scene of the filming is still preserved.

This popular attraction often sells out, so be sure to book in advance! 🌟

I booked a half-day tour this time, and all I had to do was choose the activities. The diverse offerings included a Movie Site and Ranch Tour, a Jungle Expedition, an Ocean Voyaging Tour, an Ancient Fish Pond and Garden Tour, Kahiko Hula Lessons, a Secret Island Beach Tour, and a Legends and Legacy Tour. Adventure tours included ATV and Horseback Tours.

9.5 pills 🌟 recommended, the 0.5 less is because I need to get up early 👉 ***

When you arrive here, you will first see Hat Island "Mokolii", also known as "Chinaman's Hat Island". The local word means small lizard, which is used to describe the small and exquisite size of the island.

According to legend, the name originated from the fact that Hawaiians saw the straw hats worn by Chinese migrant workers while working, and they didn't know what they were, so they gave the name because of their very similar shape.

Standing at the restaurant at Kualoa Ranch, you can take a photo of a person wearing a hat that is close in proportion.

Lunch was a buffet at Kualoa Ranch, and the taste was average, not delicious nor bad, and the pineapple was good. Overall, there are some things to do at Kualoa Ranch, but nothing particularly amazing or fun. If you have enough time or are a pilgrim to some movies, you can come and watch it, but don't have too high expectations.

By Miffy Kaleidoscope |

Known as the "Hengdian World Studios of America," it's home to countless Hollywood blockbusters like Jurassic World, Lost, and Skull Island. If you're lucky, you might even be filming right next to a movie while you're there.

Not only is the scenery here beautiful, or a bit magical, but there are also many entertainment activities, such as horseback riding, ATV, movie tours, jungle adventures, mysterious islands, zip lines, etc. It's simply terrible for people who have difficulty choosing, haha!

Kualoa Ranch offers tour packages that can be booked on various platforms such as China-TravelNote, China-TravelNote, and Taobao. The general package includes three items, including a buffet lunch and hotel pick-up and drop-off. If booked separately, lunch and pick-up are not included. You can also book on the official website, but you need to pay in advance with a credit card. It is 20 yuan cheaper than booking through an agent. Website: ***

Generally, you need to tip the driver and tour guide after the project, 5-10 yuan each, but it is not mandatory. I am particularly stingy and did not give any.

The buffet lunch here is quite simple, and there are long lines at noon, but it's enough to fill your stomach. There are no other commercial facilities nearby. So if you are picky about food, I recommend going to the nearest town of Kailua, which has many restaurants and is a 20-minute drive from the ranch.

I booked an ATV tour on Taobao 7 Continents during a huge Fliggy promotion, and it was priced at 1,056 yuan per person. It was a bit of a rip-off. The movie tour and the ATV route are the same, so you'd often see two groups of people running into each other. My husband and another woman's car broke down, and they wouldn't replace it, claiming they couldn't drive it. So we ended up in the instructor's van. It was dizzying, and they refused to refund me. To summarize, it seems each tour cost $45, though I don't know the price for the ATV and horseback riding. Afterward, we rushed to catch the bus, otherwise there would be no return. My face was covered in dirt—just dirt. I saw the Japanese girls on the bus constantly applying makeup. All in all, I don't recommend it. I'd rather try something else in northern Taiwan.

I did three activities: the jungle tour (a minivan ride through the jungle), horseback riding, and the movie tour. Overall, they were pretty average, lacking any highlights. The jungle tour involved riding in a minibus. My guide and driver (Mine was called Melisa) took me through the mountains and forests, introducing several local Hawaiian gods, including those in charge of war, agriculture (such as weather), and several wooden statues reminiscent of Southeast Asian deities. We passed the Jurassic Park set, and finally had a 10-minute hike to the top of a small hill to see a valley and a path leading to the sea. The view was decent. The horseback riding was a short stroll, led by a young woman. The scenery wasn't particularly scenic, but it was just a chance to experience life and learn at least some skills. The most boring part of the movie tour was the minibus that took me through the filming locations. There weren't many scenes, with each film retaining only one recognizable scene. It was quite boring. The only thing I did do was to arrange for a Chinese-speaking guide to make it feel comfortable and approachable. That was all. As for the four-wheeled off-road motorcycle tour, I didn't sign up because I was traveling with my elderly family. It was pretty much the same as some other attractions in China. The basic suggestion is to play it or not. If you have flown all the way here and have better options, you don't have to come here to play this. Of course, if you are a loyal fan of a certain movie, just ignore what I said.

By China-TravelNote users |

I wonder if the previous 5-star ratings were all fake? This experience is a rip-off. The Jurassic Park movie route and the Jungle Safari are two different routes, each in a different valley. The ATV ride and the Jurassic Park route are in the same valley. The Jungle Safari was extremely boring and not recommended. The Jurassic Park movie route wasn't very interesting either, but the scenery was okay. The set lunch buffet consisted of a salad, two or three meat dishes, rice, and an egg cake. I highly recommend the ATV and ATV rides. The route is quite different from the Jurassic Park ride, and the scenery is much better. After the ATV and ATV rides, the Jurassic and Jungle routes felt like a waste. I got the set and regretted choosing the Jungle Safari instead of the boat ride. In the first photo, you can't see the Jungle Safari in Jurassic Park; you have to do the ATV to see it. Overall, the ATV is a must, but the Jungle Safari is highly discouraged.

My most enjoyable day at Kualoa Ranch was on Oahu. The ocean and sky were azure, and I could ride an ATV between the sea and the mountains, go surfing on a large boat, and explore filming sites of American blockbusters on an off-road vehicle. We met around 7 a.m. and stayed until around 5 p.m. There was a lunch buffet at noon, and it was delicious.

By smallhandxu |

We chose three 90-minute activities to choose from, including a valley experience tour, a mountain experience tour, and an ocean experience tour.

There are many horses on the ranch. Compared with horses in China, the horses here are much taller and their fur is shiny. Of course, riding horses across the ranch is also one of the recreational activities. I have ridden horses many times before, so I didn't choose this one.

At the highest point of the ranch, the sea water is deep and shallow, and the white clouds and waves are very beautiful.

By Ruirui |

At Kualoa Ranch, you can enjoy the pristine natural beauty of a ranch. Experience movie sets, explore the jungle, cruise the ocean, and visit the orchard, all of which are standard activities. You can choose from three 90-minute activities per day. A secret island activity also takes up two of the time slots, so if you choose it, you'll have to choose one additional activity. Secret Island Beach is a secluded private beach. Bring sunscreen, swimwear, a towel, and a camera for exciting and fun beach activities, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, beach volleyball, badminton, and table tennis. Of course, if you're interested, you can also join in on exciting adventures like ATV driving and horseback riding for an additional fee.

Wait in the hotel lobby early in the morning, and a bus will pick you up. On the bus, you will be asked to choose the activities you are interested in. You will arrive at Kualoa Ranch in about an hour. After that, based on your language skills, you will be arranged to have a Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or English tour guide to take you through the day's activities.

Kualoa Ranch is a picturesque ranch that has served as the setting for numerous blockbuster films, including Jurassic Park, Windtalkers, Lost, and Pearl Harbor. The ranch not only boasts stunning natural scenery but also offers a wide variety of adventures and activities. We chose the film location tour and ranch ride, and the scenery from horseback was truly breathtaking.

As usual, we booked our Kualoa Ranch excursion on Qyer. On the day of our excursion, we simply waited in the hotel lobby for the bus to pick us up early. Since we were staying at the hotel on the westernmost side of Waikiki Beach, we could wake up relatively late. Upon boarding the bus, the tour guide handed out a list to each guest, and we selected the activities we wanted to do that day.

1. Movie Discovery Tour: Hop on a sightseeing bus and head to Kualoa Ranch Valley to search for traces of movies!

2. Jungle Adventure Tour (Recommended): Explore the pristine Hakipu'u Valley aboard a six-wheeled Swiss Army Jeep and discover the pristine Hawaiian scenery. Take a short hike to the hills for a panoramic view of Oahu's eastern coastline and ancient Hawaiian fishponds.

3. Ocean Experience Tour (Recommended): Take an exhilarating catamaran cruise around Kaneohe Bay and enjoy some of Hawaii's most pristine ocean views. The catamaran can accommodate up to 49 people, and you'll pass by the turtle reef along the way, offering a prime view of the hat-shaped Mokolii Island.

4. Visit Mysterious Island: Mysterious Island Beach is a secluded private beach. Bring sunscreen, swimsuits, towels, and cameras for exciting and fun beach activities. You can participate in various recreational activities such as kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, beach volleyball, badminton, and table tennis. (Activity duration: 3 hours). By the way, there are no swimsuits available for purchase at the attraction.

Kualoa Ranch, although it is called a ranch, don’t be mistaken for a small place. It is the filming location for popular works such as "Jurassic Park", "Windtalkers", "Pearl Harbor", "Godzilla", and "Lost". There is a wall in the scenic area that lists the crews that have come here to collect materials.

Setting foot on this land, it feels like going back to the ancient times when dinosaurs lived. Here, you can ride horses, shoot, explore with an off-road vehicle, swim, snorkel, take a boat ride, or take a high-speed jeep for a real and exciting jungle roller coaster. It can take a whole day to play, and it is also the most unforgettable and worthwhile day of my trip to Hawaii.

We only saw the exterior, but it gave us the same feeling as Jurassic Park.

Kualoa Ranch offers horseback riding tours, either one-hour or two-hour. Participants must be 10 years or older, at least 140 cm tall, and weigh less than 105 kg. For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes are required. Oversized backpacks and cameras are not permitted on horseback, but can be stored in lockers.

Your horse will guide you into Kualoa's southern valley. Along the way, you'll see the famous Mokoli'i Island (also known as "Straw Hat Island") and the 800-year-old ancient Hawaiian fishponds. Before departure, you'll be asked to watch a short safety video (available in Chinese). To minimize delays, please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to departure.

2-hour journey

You'll enter Ka'a'awa Valley, north of Kualoa. This valley has been the filming location for many Hollywood films, including Jurassic World and Pearl Harbor. Along the way, you'll see bomb shelters from World War II, pristine Hawaiian jungle, and the majestic Pacific Ocean. Before departure, you'll be asked to watch a short safety video (available in Chinese upon request). To avoid delays, please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to departure.

You can spend a whole day at Kualoa Ranch. A shuttle from Kualoa Ranch picks you up in the morning. Kualoa Ranch is truly beautiful, with a natural wonderland-like scenery. There are many filming locations for movies and TV series, but my favorite is Jurassic Park. It feels like you've been transported back hundreds of millions of years to the Jurassic Age of Dinosaurs. The military jeep we rode through the mountains and hills was quite impressive. The ATV ride in the afternoon was also fantastic—even those with limited driving experience can drive well, as long as you can handle it. A staff member led the tour, taking us on a scenic drive through the mountains. There were climbs, muddy terrain, and creek crossings. It was a thrilling experience and well worth the trip!

We signed up for a one-day local tour. We met in Waikiki in the morning, drove over, and chose a few activities. The movie tour was a must-do, allowing us to see the large cages used in the Jurassic World filming location, complete with dinosaur paw prints. The horseback riding was also worth the experience.

ATV is not as exciting as I thought. Horseback riding should be a good project

Kualoa Ranch is sure to captivate you with these highlights: 1. Numerous filming locations, including "Jurassic Park," "Windtalkers," "Pearl Harbor," "Godzilla," and "50 First Dates," are waiting for you to explore!

2. The scenery of Kualoa Ranch will amaze you: cliffs, sea, rainforest, beach, green mountains.

3. In ancient times, Kualoa was one of the most sacred places on the island. Come and experience the most primitive and peaceful charm of Hawaii!

A few words about the activities here: you can choose whatever you like. We went as two couples, and we booked in advance through Lazy Cat Travel (which was better than the tour guide's recommendation). We went on ATVs, which were a blast—a must for adrenaline junkies! You can also go horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch, one of Hawaii's most famous horseback riding destinations. You can stroll along the peaks of Kualoa, overlooking the vast coastline and taking in the stunning scenery.

Tips: If you play these activities, be sure to wear covered toe shoes. It is recommended to wear long pants and sunscreen.

There are also some optional activities, friends who want to go can refer to:

1. Movie Discovery Tour: Hop on a sightseeing bus and head out to Kualoa Ranch Valley to explore film locations! See dinosaur footprints from "Jurassic Park," the battlefield from "Windtalkers," the beach where the lead actors played piano in "50 First Dates," and filming locations from "Lost." (Typical activity duration: 1.5 hours)

2. Jungle Adventure Tour: Explore the pristine Hakipu'u Valley aboard a six-wheeled Swiss Army Jeep and discover the pristine Hawaiian landscape. A short hike to the hillside overlooks Oahu's eastern coastline and ancient Hawaiian fishponds. (1.5-hour activity, children under 3 not allowed)

3. Ocean Experience: Enjoy Hawaii's pristine ocean views aboard an exhilarating catamaran cruise around Kaneohe Bay. The catamaran can accommodate up to 49 people, and you'll pass by turtle reefs and the cap-shaped Mokolii Island from a prime perspective. (1.5-hour activity)

4. Visit Mystic Island: Mystic Island Beach is a secluded private beach. Bring sunscreen, swimsuits, towels, and cameras for exciting and fun beach activities. You can participate in various recreational activities such as kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, beach volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and more. (Activity duration: 3 hours)

Kualoa Ranch is said to be one of the most coveted and beloved attractions for every Hawaiian visitor. Coupled with the ranch's diverse array of recreational activities, it's a true paradise for those who are still young at heart. Enjoy horseback riding, shooting, rainforest adventures, exploring movie locations, off-road vehicle tours, swimming, snorkeling, and more!

I'm a big fan of American blockbusters, and Kualoa Ranch is a famous Hollywood filming location. Films like "Jurassic Park," "Windtalkers," "Pearl Harbor," and "Godzilla" were all filmed there, as were the TV series "Lost" and "Heaven's Law." There was no way I was going to Hawaii this time and I couldn't miss it! Kualoa has so many fun and exciting activities, like ATVs, horseback riding, movie tours, and ocean beaches. I went on the ATV last time I was there, and it was fun and safe. I booked it in advance in China so I didn't have to worry about not being able to get a reservation when I got there. ***3BfyT1

As someone who's been in the film industry for years, a pilgrimage to Kualoa Ranch, the filming location for the "Jurassic Park" series, is a must-do on Oahu! On the bus, your guide will present you with a form in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and English, allowing you to choose from three activities: 1. Horseback Riding for Scenic Views, 2. Valley Experience Tour (taking a minibus tour of film locations), 3. Mountain Experience Tour (taking a modified open-top jeep through the woods, passing the building where the Indominus dinosaur, the main boss of "Jurassic World," was imprisoned, and you can climb to the highest point of the ranch to overlook the eastern coastline), and 4. Ocean Experience Tour.

(You might see sea turtles when you go out to sea, and you can also enjoy a panoramic view of the ranch and the Koolau Mountains from the boat), 5. Fish Pond & Garden Tour (Take a minibus to visit the gardens planted with different tropical fruits + take a boat tour of the best-preserved ancient Hawaiian fish ponds), 6. Mysterious Island (There will be water activities such as kayaking and snorkeling to experience, but please note that choosing this option is equivalent to choosing two activities. Choosing Mysterious Island in the afternoon will allow you to see the sunset over the sea), 7. ATV Quad Bike (Drive an all-terrain motorcycle deep into the scenic valley of the ranch. The scenery you see is quite similar to the second experience, the difference is that it is an adventurous self-driving experience. It is more suitable for men or women with long arms and legs and good balance)

The staff are very responsible and enthusiastic. This place is relatively primitive, and you can see that many animals are well-fed. You can also take photos with horses, turtles, etc. at close range. The most recommended thing is the buffet lunch at Kualoa. The big chicken thighs and beef patties are the best meal I have eaten in so many days. . . 5555

This ranch has been a filming location for many movies and TV series, so fans of American dramas and blockbusters shouldn't miss it. The only way to explore the ranch is to join one of their tours. They offer a variety of tours, including film tours, horseback riding tours, ATV tours, and ferry tours. Packages are also available for those who want to join more than one tour. You can choose a time based on your interests, but be sure to plan ahead, as their tours are very popular and can sell out three or four days in advance. There are mosquitoes in the woods on the mountain, so be sure to bring mosquito repellent.

Kualoa Ranch is Oahu's most famous tourist attraction, now a beautiful ranch combining leisure and sightseeing. Arriving at the 4,000-acre Kualoa Ranch will give you a sense of déjà vu. Hollywood has dubbed it the world's most photogenic valley, where the famous Jurassic Park was filmed. The ranch boasts seven filming locations, including Hapipu Valley, an 800-year-old fishpond, and Mysterious Island. Kualoa offers breathtaking scenery, including lush green plains, lush valleys, and pristine white sand beaches. The ranch offers six activities, and adventure activities must be selected at the time of booking! ***?u=148444!!! Please wear long pants and sunscreen, as UV rays are very strong!

I had read many travel guides before coming here, and the pictures online were truly beautiful. When I arrived at Kualoa, the experience was truly worthwhile and exceeded my expectations. The pictures below were taken with my phone; a camera would have been even better. Booking tickets for Kualoa was also very easy; I booked them in China. ***1V4ewG I hope this helps anyone planning a trip.

The ranch offers tours of movie locations by bus, as well as thrilling ATV rides, horseback riding, and other adventurous activities. The full package costs just over $100 per person for about six hours, with individual options priced separately. We opted for the movie tour, which cost just over $30 per person for an hour. Our driver was very amusing, providing a fun explanation and even helping us take photos.

By Floating Girl |

There is a horse farm at the entrance. ATV and horse riding are of the same level and the price is the same. One is dynamic and the other is static.

Our package included three items: the movie tour from 9:15-10:45, the jungle tour from 11:00-12:30, and the ATV from 2:30-3:30. I think if we arrived earlier, the ATV might have been earlier, so we just took it as it came. We were both given wristbands, but only the package tour had them, not the individual tours. This was probably so the waiter could see them during lunch. If you want to go, be sure to go early.

We took an open bus tour of the Kaawaa Valley and then saw a bunker left over from World War II.

Kualoa Ranch was built as a ranch, but it became famous because of movies. Kualoa Ranch has a history of nearly two hundred years and has been the filming location for many movies. These movies have made Kualoa Ranch a popular attraction worldwide. The well-known "Jurassic Park" was filmed here. If you like this movie or the natural scenery in the movie, you must not miss it. We parked in front of a cave. This is the filming location of Pearl Harbor.

Kualoa Ranch is a renowned Hawaiian destination, a traditional cattle ranch and farm managed and maintained by a Native Hawaiian family. Kualoa Ranch has a special mission to protect this sacred land. To this end, we preserve, protect, and enhance Hawaii's natural landscape and culture, while developing recreational activities and agricultural projects that are harmonious with the environment. This provides opportunities for future generations of locals and tourists to learn more about Hawaii. We care for and respect the natural environment, unique Hawaiian culture, and sacred history of Kualoa Ranch, and we hope to spread our message of conservation to more people.

Many movies have been filmed at this ranch, the most famous of which are "Jurassic Park" and "LOST".

Our journey through the mountains and dense forests was bumpy and dusty, making us feel like we were in Jurassic Park. The two square ponds in the distance in the photo are ancient fish ponds. 800 years ago, Hawaiians built low stone walls to enclose them for fish farming, but now the walls are overgrown with grass and trees.

It is the filming location for many Hollywood blockbusters.

There are mainly several tours on the ranch, ATV tour, Movie tour, and Horse Ride tour. These three tours all go to the same valley. The valley is very beautiful, and it is enough to visit one of the three.

Many classic American film locations are filmed here. You can take a minibus, ride a horse, or ride an ATV and follow a guide to explore the area.

Visit Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii, where countless blockbusters have been filmed, including "Jurassic Park" and "Godzilla".

Kualoa Ranch is more than just a place to visit filming locations. Even more fun are activities like horseback riding, off-road driving, and yachting to see sea turtles. It's a great day trip recommended!

Kualoa Ranch is a beautiful place and is a filming location for many famous movies and TV series. There are many activities here and you can basically spend half a day there. The sea breeze is very comfortable and the sun is very warm.

The ranch has Chinese-speaking tour guides, one is Mr. Iven, who is originally from Guangdong, and the other is Ms. Nana, a Japanese who is fluent in Taiwanese Mandarin. They are both very dedicated and nice.

Kualoa Ranch. It seems to be a lot of fun there, you can drive motorcycles and ride bicycles, and there are many day trips. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for people like me who bring children, so I just took pictures for the sake of it.

Tip: You can choose hotel pick-up service when booking your ticket.

By Fat Head Mimi |

The filming location of Jurassic Park. We spent the whole day here. We chose horseback riding + jungle adventure + sea trip (where we could see the China Man's Hat) + a visit to the filming location. We had a BUFFET for lunch, which consisted of lettuce salad, fruit salad, meat, and bean soup. It wasn't very tasty, but it was enough to fill us up.

By Tacky little balls |

Various small animals can be seen everywhere on the ranch. Cats and chickens are not afraid of people. The funniest thing is that cats, chickens and birds can live in peace.

The horses here must be well-fed, with smooth, shiny coats. They're very obedient and friendly, and they'll come right up to you if you approach the railing. A leader led a dozen horses around the hill behind, each following the other, never overtaking the one in front. They were well-trained. We had a small incident during our horseback riding: the sun was shining brightly at first, but soon after, it started to rain. The raindrops were light but dense. I was just about to get soaked, but it stopped and the sun returned. Just as I was drying the raindrops on my clothes, another cloud moved in and it started to drizzle. This happened two or three times. The weather here is truly unpredictable, and it was an unforgettable experience.

By Bao Siling |

We also booked Kualoa Ranch online. A car came to pick us up at the hotel at around 7 o'clock in the morning and gave us wristbands.

We were given another piece of paper and could choose 4 activities. We chose ATV when we booked. You can choose horse riding or ATV, but it seems that horse riding is cheaper than ATV. I think ATV is really fun. ATV is an off-road vehicle, but you will be tested first. If you fail the test, the instructor will not let you ride it because it is very dangerous.

We chose 2, 3, 5, and 8. The last one took longer, so choosing it effectively meant choosing two. And if you choose the last one, it's best to bring your own swimsuit, otherwise there won't be much to do and it'll be boring. Kualoa Ranch is definitely worth a visit.

Tour Description: 1. Horseback riding is a leisurely stroll through the park with a dedicated escort. Children's horseback riding begins at approximately 12 noon and is accompanied by a dedicated escort, taking approximately 5 minutes.

Personally, I don't think it's necessary to visit the ranch...it's a bit far...and there aren't many animals.

The driver will explain the history of Kualoa Ranch surrounded by clouds along the way. Since it is a movie experience tour, this route is also the filming location of various movies. At each filming location, there is a small sign with the name of the movie. The driver will also introduce the plot and actors of the movie. Of course, every time we go to a place, we will not forget to mention that it is really expensive to shoot a movie here.

By meteorain |

Parking at the ranch is free, so we went to the visitor center to book our tour. With two children under five, the available tours were limited. We were hesitant between the Movie Sites & Ranch Tour and the Jungle Expedition Tour—the former a film tour and the latter a jungle adventure. The staff explained that the two routes cover different valleys and use different transportation, and that children would likely prefer the latter, as the ride is bumpier and less suitable for those with cervical or back injuries. When we asked her which had better scenery, she said the former, along the oceanfront route with views of the valley, was the one we chose. Both tours last one hour and cost $26 for adults and $15 for children over three.

Many people may not know the name of Kualoa Ranch, but everyone knows the name of "Jurassic World". This ranch is where the exterior scenes of "Jurassic World" were filmed.

The ranch was quite far from our hotel, requiring two transfers and a two-hour drive. Upon arrival, we had a hearty meal at the restaurant before officially entering the ranch. I was stunned. I had never seen such a vibrant green before! The vast expanse of green stretched as far as the eye could see, completely lush, without a single gap. The air was pure, devoid of any impurities, and it felt as if all the green was fully and untouched. After often seeing so much concrete and steel, I was captivated by this glimpse of green, unable to even blink. With such a beautiful environment, it's no wonder the dinosaurs thrived so well.

We followed the path to a small cabin, which turned out to be a ticket office. The ranch offered a variety of routes for us to play, including bus, horseback riding, dune scooters, etc. After careful consideration, we decided to take the bus (because the horses were too smelly, and although dune scooters were self-driving, they were not allowed to enter some places).

By ╬Fashionable Boy |

The horses at Kualoa Ranch are quite tall and sturdy, with shiny coats, but once you ride them, you'll find them very docile, well-behaved, and obedient. They're very orderly, won't cut in line, and won't cut in line. Riding them is very reassuring, except when they automatically step out of line to relieve themselves. This can be a bit awkward for the rider, as they won't listen to you and you can't see what they're doing—only you can see. The ranch also has motorcycle riders, hula lessons, and a tour of the Dole Orchard. All of this would take a full day, but we planned to spend half a day there, so we left on time.

Many classic Hollywood films were filmed here. The imposing dinosaur scene in "Jurassic Park," the monster footprints in "Godzilla," the battleground in "Windtalkers," and the golf course played by Hurley in "Lost" were all filmed in Kualoa. Kualoa's reputation as a "Hollywood filming location" has drawn countless visitors, and the ranch is bustling with activity. Green plains, lush valleys, and clear, white-sand beaches—all of Kualoa's beauty is evident. However, it's important to note that to fully explore Kualoa, you'll need to join one of the ranch's guided tours. After all, the area is so vast that it's easy to get lost without a professional guide.

Kualoa Ranch was one of our destinations during our island tour. Due to time constraints, we did not go inside and only stayed briefly in Kualoa. I will not comment on the scenery of Kualoa. There are many good travelogues about Kualoa on the Internet. If I have the chance in the future, I will definitely go and see it.

By Japanese style |

Kualoa is very organized, with each activity having a precise departure time. Once you've chosen your activities, you can arrange them accordingly. Since we were traveling with children, we chose more relaxing activities to cater to their needs. There were activities like 4WD driving and hula dancing lessons, so the day was packed with exciting activities. The area is large, so visitors are spread out, making it feel like a ranch owner, which was a great experience.

Going further, you'll reach Kualoa. While there aren't many attractions here, there's a place called Kualoa Ranch, which is worth a visit for those interested in movies. Does the picture below look familiar? It was quite exciting for me, as it's the primary filming location for the American TV series "Lost." My American TV adventures began with "Prison Break" and "Lost." I was captivated by the amazing landscapes in the show, and later, after searching online, I realized Hawaii was a major filming location for the show!

I learned through Google that Kualoa Ranch has been the filming location for over a hundred movies (no wonder the mountain looks so familiar), including "Jurassic Park" and John Woo's "Windtalkers." Kualoa was a sacred site in the ancient Hawaiian Kingdom. Its lush tropical forests and the frequent mist surrounding the mountains add to its mystical atmosphere. Visitors should definitely take advantage of the park's half-day or full-day tours, such as the movie tour and jungle adventure. (The prices aren't cheap, at over $100 for a full day.)

This entire ranch is privately owned. A doctor (doctor or doctor?) bought it from the Hawaiian king or chief for a few thousand dollars. It was a long, long time ago, of course. What a remarkable investment… These entire hills are theirs, and they've been making a living there for generations! So much wealth! So many movies have been filmed here, the most famous being Jurassic Park. There are many more, I've forgotten them all…

The next day's itinerary was to visit Kualoa Ranch, where many blockbuster films have been filmed, including Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor, Windtalkers, and Lost. Just look at this mountain—does it feel like Jurassic Park? The ranch has a blue sky, and the air is crisp and clear. The ranch has a breathtaking oceanfront view. I won't show any other artificial scenery here, as I prefer nature.

By Merlay |

We chose the full-day option, which allows us to enjoy four activities. We chose ocean voyage, film and television city (filming location for various movies and TV series), JUNGLE (taking a jeep around the mountain, it was very thrilling on the way - -), and horseback riding.

The attractions mentioned in the above itinerary
