Yosemite National Park in winter offers less color and waterfalls than in summer and autumn. The upside is fewer people and fewer cars. Since it gets dark around 4 or 5 a.m., it's important to plan your visit carefully. Free shuttle buses run every 30 minutes and are air-conditioned, so you won't feel cold even in winter. The park is open 24 hours a day, making it an excellent choice for those who enjoy hiking, climbing, and exploring.

If you're taking children hiking here, make sure they have enough energy for the hike. Several of the famous attractions require walking along small mountain paths. Bring some water and don't wear heavy clothes. Hiking is hard, and you'll sweat. :)

Some people might ask if there are any dangerous animals here, like bears, wolves, snakes, etc. It's said there are, but my family didn't encounter any, not even deer or squirrels. Maybe they're all hibernating.

Note: If you plan to visit multiple national parks, you can buy an annual pass here for $80 per year for one car and four people. If you live in the US and frequently visit national parks, it's a great deal. By the way, at the end of our trip, Congress was unable to pass a budget bill to build a wall along the US-Mexico border, so by the time our trip was over, Congress had announced the closure of some non-essential government departments, including the national parks. How lucky!

Some sections of national park roads are accessible only by the park's free hybrid buses, which are heated and stay warm even in winter. The United States has achieved environmental protection, animal protection, and environmental preservation by avoiding various stores in scenic areas and maintaining 24-hour access.

Friends who drive by themselves may encounter road maintenance. Stop and wait, and a guide car will take you there.

The shady side of the mountains is still covered with a layer of white snow. Although it is winter, green grass has already appeared on the sunny side, but the temperature is still cold, making people shiver.

In winter, the frozen waterfall still hangs in the mountains in a pouring posture, as if time has stood still.

Driving to the wide area of the valley, it feels like traveling back to spring, and the mountains surrounded by green trees are full of vitality.

I spent most of my time in the national park walking, without talking, just walking and walking, trying to listen to the voice of my heart.

It takes an hour to drive to one of the tunnel entrance viewing platforms

As we drove along, we found that the sun was hiding behind the mountains and it was difficult to see it rising from the horizon.

Two-lane, two-way traffic, winding mountain roads still require a certain level of driving skills

You can see that some areas have been burned, which was also caused by the wildfires two days ago.

I just watched a documentary that said this is actually a way for trees to reproduce.

But the most beautiful thing is the sunset when the car is surrounded by mountains.

From the car window, I saw the pointed and tall trees flashing by one by one under the pink sky.

It's so pink, it's hard to imagine this is a real scene. It looks like a movie storyboard with the picture processed.

Compared with other national parks, the scenery here is slightly inferior and the visiting time is relatively short. If you don’t hike, it is no problem to visit all the famous attractions in one day without having to stay in the scenic area.

The main tour route of Yosemite is a large figure eight with Yosemite as the apex. Glacier Point in the south is the best place to view the entire Yosemite from a high altitude. There is only one hiking route between the two, and the road cannot connect them, so we went to Glacier Point first and then returned to the main route to visit the large figure eight.

On the way, I also saw Americans holding a wedding here. I believe the wedding dresses taken here are N times more beautiful than those so-called travel photos in China. I am so envious.

Yosemite is generally suitable for families to hike and relax, but it is somewhat inferior to Yellowstone and other places.

The ticket office is a small booth. The ticket price is $35 for 7 days. The ticket seller is dressed in a very western style, with a hat and a military yellow work uniform.

The mountains in Yosemite are majestic, yet they appear delicate under the trees.

We were drawn to the laughter of a group of children and, looking over, saw a teacher leading the children in a game. A diverse group of people appeared from a row of parked cars. Some brought out chairs and sat comfortably in the sun, while others rummaged around in the vans, loading themselves with what looked like rock climbing gear. Yosemite is famous not only for its beautiful scenery, but also for its outdoor sports. Hiking is a piece of cake, ranging from half an hour to an hour, to a full day. There's even climbing El Capitan, and some even fly down the side of the rock for fun, though of course, you have to take adequate protective measures.

There was a fire in Yosemite before we came here, and we thought we couldn't come. Fortunately, we came in, but the black trees inside must be the traces of the burn left at that time.

I love the scenery so much that I really don't want to leave. No wonder it's said to be Bill Gates' favorite place and the place he chose for his wedding. It's so beautiful~

I strolled through the park with my interpreter and guide. The first thing that caught my eye was the waterfall. At first, it was quite far away, looking like a thin white scarf hanging from a rocky mountain. We walked along the path leading to the waterfall. As the roar of the waterfall grew louder, I knew we were close. When we reached the waterfall, I looked up and saw a small waterfall cascading down, unleashing its full force, like a torrent of water cascading from the sky. While not as spectacular as the famous waterfalls, it was still a sight to behold.

The huge water curtain wall swayed in the wind, leaped over the stone wall, splashed the wooden bridge, and made the surrounding grass and trees lush and green.

Another feature that sets Yosemite National Park apart from other parks in the western United States is its rich forests. Most of the trees are pine, but there are also giant fir trees and other species. They are generally extremely tall and straight, almost reaching the sky when you look up. They are much taller than the pines in northern China, and the pines in Guangzhou are even taller. Looking at these tall, dense trees reminded me of the vast grasslands I saw in the central states of the United States when I drove there. It made me realize that the United States is truly blessed with natural conditions. The United States has such abundant resources, but a population of just over 200 million. It can be said that the land is vast and the people are scarce. Meanwhile, our country is more mountainous and hilly, yet it has to support a population of over 1.4 billion. God really favors this country!

We walked in the woods, breathing in the fresh air and smelling the fragrance of the pine trees, and it felt really comfortable.

We arrived on a weekend, and there were massive crowds and traffic jams. Every attraction was packed, and there was no parking. Taking good portraits was truly difficult, perhaps due to the sheer size of the scenery. There's absolutely no parking at the bottom of the canyon; weekends are a real no-go; finding parking is incredibly frustrating. In October, Yosemite is practically devoid of water. The falls are barely flowing, and Mirror Lake is more than half dry.

Yosemite National Park, located at the western foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in central California, is the most famous tourist attraction in California and is known as "an indispensable experience in life". It is also the place where Adams, the "father of landscape photography", created his works.

Yosemite National Park is vast, reportedly covering approximately 3,000 square kilometers. With its majestic waterfalls, towering granite rocks, and tranquil valleys, Yosemite resembles a fairyland from every angle. Towering trees, flowing mountains, jagged cliffs carved by glaciers, and shimmering lakes create a sense of paradise.

The main attractions include majestic waterfalls (Bridalveil Falls, Yosemite Falls), El Capitan, Half Dome, glaciers, giant sequoia forests, Adams Museum, Monroe Lake...

Yosemite National Park is open year-round, and a two- or three-day stay is recommended. Tickets are valid for three days and offer unlimited entry. Regular tickets are $20 per person, with motorcycles $30 and cars $35. Tickets can be purchased at the visitor center; reservations are generally not required.

One of the top three national parks in the United States, this scenic and diverse park boasts a vast expanse of terrain, offering a wide variety of hiking trails, ranging from easy to challenging. We spent three days in the park, but we were only able to explore it briefly. The autumn colors are vibrant, but the lack of water deprives us of the most crucial element of the landscape.

By hyacinth |

It's too early and too cold. The scenery is just average. It would be better to come here in summer.

By Lord Min |

Driving in, I was struck by how beautiful this place is. The shadows of the trees flickered overhead. There were a lot of people camping here, mostly families or groups of friends. Looking further to the other side, I could see a snowy landscape.

By Olive |

The entrance fee to Yosemite National Park is $35 per vehicle. Once you enter the park, you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of the pristine scenery along the way.

Squirrels can be seen everywhere, and the squirrels here are not afraid of people. It is a picture of harmony between man and nature.

By Mannibaby |

Personally, I think Yosemite is better suited for a deeper tour. Hiking deeper into the area is more enjoyable, and it's best to visit during peak season, from June to August, when the water is higher and you can see the waterfalls. Our timing wasn't very good, and we missed out on the most beautiful scenery!

Yosemite National Park is a national park in the western United States, as famous as Yellowstone National Park. Its literal translation is Yosemite National Park. Yosemite means grizzly bear in the Native American language. I don't know who translated it into Yosemite, but it's a great translation, instantly conjuring up images of lush green mountains and magnificent scenery.

It usually takes less than a day to drive from Las Vegas to Yosemite. You will pass through Death Valley in the middle. If you are interested, you can go to Death Valley to take a look.

The outdoor temperature here is only about 5 degrees Celsius at night. The roller coaster-like weather caught us off guard. So if you come to Yosemite in late October, be sure to bring a down jacket and a sweater.

Yosemite National Park has three entrances and exits: East, West, and South. The East Gate is the closest entrance from Las Vegas. However, due to snow and ice blocking the road, the East Gate is usually only open in late May and closes around November. If you're traveling from Las Vegas between November and May, you can enter through the South Gate. If you're traveling from San Francisco, you can use the West Gate.

Yosemite admission: A single person entrance fee is $20 (valid for seven days). Self-driving tickets are charged per vehicle at $35 per vehicle, with passengers entering free. Public transportation is also free. You'll receive a park map with your ticket. Because the signal in the park is spotty, Google Maps won't work, so a paper map is crucial. Entering Yosemite feels like entering a completely different season. Waking up in the morning, I was surprised to see icicles everywhere. You can also visit museums to learn more about the park's history and visit village ruins.

Those who've been to Yellowstone National Park often find Yosemite's scenery rather ordinary. However, whether a scene is truly beautiful depends on the individual. Indeed, Yosemite lacks the breathtaking grandeur of the Grand Canyon. Even its famous waterfalls flow like running water from August to October. It's much more enjoyable to forgo the desire to check in at a tourist attraction and instead embrace a genuine connection with nature.

When you stand in the valley and bid farewell to the last sunset

When you lean on the rocks and watch the rainbow created by the waterfall splashing

When you touch the fallen tree trunk in the deep forest

When you stand on the vantage point after the hike and look at the magnificent view of the entire valley

There will be a feeling that life has no regrets

Yosemite National Park is a must-see for all tourists who drive to the western United States. It was rated by the BBC as a place you must visit in your lifetime. It is also the most easily accessible national park in the United States by public transportation, so it is also very friendly to people traveling alone.

There are many interesting hiking trails here. It is recommended to stay here for at least two or three days, otherwise it will be difficult to discover the charm of this place.

I met many friends while hiking in Yosemite. Whenever they asked me where I liked best, I would answer Glacier Point without hesitation.

Although this is a very popular place, it is also the best place for Yosemite scenery. It is very shocking and makes people feel like they have left the earth.

You can sit here quietly for a day.

Information: A single entry ticket costs $20 (valid for seven days). Self-driving tickets are calculated per car, and passengers in the car are free.

If you take the bus into the park, it is also free.

So most people don't need to buy tickets.

It is recommended to go to the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center first to get various maps. You need to ask the staff there for them and they will be very enthusiastic to give them to you.

The buses in the park are also free, but you may have to wait 20-30 minutes. It is recommended to plan your itinerary

When I was looking up guidebooks, I noticed the unusual terrain of Yosemite National Park. The central area is Yosemite Valley, but for some reason, the map showed that whether entering the park from the east, west, or south gates, it took a long, long walk to reach the visitor center. It wasn't until I experienced it myself that I fully understood the secret behind these maps. Yosemite Valley is more than just a name; it's a real valley, surrounded by mountains. Every time I entered or exited the valley, I had to wind around the surrounding mountains, winding and winding, which was a real challenge for driving skills. Roughly every fifty meters, there was a sharp 90-degree turn or more, brushing against cliffs, which was terrifying and dizzying. [Motion sickness warning!] On this mountain road, the surrounding traffic wasn't particularly slow, and since it was a two-way single-lane road, I tried to stay close to the car in front of me to avoid overtaking the car behind me. So, it was a real challenge to have an experienced driver on board.

We set out from Mammoth Lakes this morning, heading north along Highway 395 before turning onto Scenic Route 120 east of Yosemite and entering the park. As we journeyed, we discovered that Yosemite's most beautiful scenery is found along every road leading in and out of the mountains. Coinciding with autumn, the California sunshine bathed the mountains and waters in a vibrant autumn glow. The scenery in the central valley, however, was somewhat less spectacular, as it was California's driest season. Several of the major waterfalls were running low, and Yosemite Falls had even dried up, leaving only traces of water visible on the rocks.

Yosemite is located in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. The drive was like driving a Need for Speed car. The mountain roads were winding, but the Americans drove very fast. Reality is much more exciting than the game.

Yosemite is the backyard of Californians, especially those in Silicon Valley. That’s why many of the Windows desktop wallpapers you see are taken in Yosemite. However, such scenery is quite common in China, so we basically just visited it once.

By Watercolor car and Melaleuca |

We went there in the fall. The colors were beautiful, but the water was not sufficient, and many of the bays were a bit dry. The park is large and the hotel is very good. It has the characteristics of a country hotel.

By Yang Xiaoguai |

As we approached the national park, our cell phone signal was gone, and Google Maps wouldn't work. Due to insufficient snowfall this winter, Yosemite Ski Resort wasn't open, and the road to Glacier Point was closed, leaving us with a lot of things to do.

By abby |

After closing on July 26th, it reopened on August 14th. I decided to go on a whim and quickly booked a campsite at the bottom of the valley, which had been very popular. When I arrived on the 14th, the air still smelled of cigarette smoke. There were few visitors, and the campsites were relatively empty. Some waterfalls had little water, while others had only a small amount. Water-related attractions were discounted, but it was still beautiful.

By Chen Chen |

Friendly reminder, the East Gate of Yosemite is closed in winter (November - May of the following year), so this time I chose to enter through the South Gate and exit through the West Gate, and the hotel was chosen near the West Gate. The tickets for these national parks are all valid for 7 days of unlimited round-trip travel. The first day was basically driving from the South Gate to the West Gate, strolling around, and playing at the bottom of the valley on the second day. Of course, if you don’t want to go through too much trouble, you can book a tent dormitory at the bottom of the valley on the Yosemite official website. The conditions are a little more difficult, but you don’t have to drive. If you are considering climbing Half Dome, make some preparations in advance, as it will take about 6-8 hours.

By Iris Fish Porridge |

Tickets are 35/car, and annual passes are very cost-effective.

We had limited time, so there were still many places we didn't visit, such as Glacier Point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire valley. If you're interested, take your time and explore. The park also has a shuttle bus service to every attraction!

By Pure source and clear flow |

After entering the scenic area, we wandered along the stream and lake. The weather was relatively cool, which was in line with the public's demand for leisure and vacation, so there were quite a lot of people. Unfortunately, the section of road between 140 and the valley bottom was closed due to a fire, so we couldn't go there, and missed out on a lot of beautiful scenery.

By jojo |

Yosemite deserves special mention. As the second-most visited national park in the United States, its scenery is stunning. There aren't many Chinese tourists on tour groups. Despite the large crowds, the entrances are few and far between, leading to long lines. Since we had annual passes, we were able to use a different gate and were quickly inside. The park is quite large and divided into several sections. We first stopped at Tuolumne Meadows and hiked a bit. I personally think this area is better than Yosemite Valley because it's less crowded and the scenery is just as nice. We hiked all the way to Dog Lake. It was a long hike, but it was quite comfortable because it wasn't too hot that morning.

Around noon we set off for Yosemite Valley. The waterfalls there don't have much water... Like Cesi... There are a few other spots with nice views. Later, towards dusk, we hiked to Mirror Lake and saw Half Dome. There weren't many people here, and the walk was very comfortable. Halfway through, we suddenly saw some people looking very nervous. It turned out that there was a bear in the grass, and everyone was holding their breath and chasing it for a long time. Then came the surprise... We finally reached Mirror Lake, but found that there was not much water... Looking at the navigation on the phone, it said this place is Mirror Lake/Meadow... In other words, it's not a lake now... It's a meadow now... There's a lot of grass, yes... Not as good as Dog Lake in the morning. But you can see Half Dome there, and plan to take some photos of the sunset... But we have to go back early after taking the photos because there are really a lot of wild animals here.

It's said that people who've been to Yellowstone think it's just average! But that depends on the individual! Long stretches of the road through Yosemite are full of twists and turns, which is a real test of driving skills! Because the US is very committed to nature conservation, the park is essentially a vast forest! Lions, wolves, foxes, deer! Wildlife abounds! There are waterfalls, streams, snow-capped mountains, swamps, and more. Follow the navigation to traverse the park and reach Mono Lake! Yosemite encompasses a wide variety of landscapes! Many people camp within the park!

By llm |

It's about 580 kilometers from Las Vegas to Yosemite National Park. Due to time constraints, we could only make it that day. We entered the park through the east gate, walked through the park, and exited through the west gate, staying at a hotel outside the park. We passed Death Valley on the way, but didn't have time to visit it.

By JCtravel |

There is some gap between the high expectations and the park. If you are not a rock climbing or hiking enthusiast, the playability and sightseeing of the park will be somewhat different from its reputation.

We went in December, a cooler time of year, so unfortunately we didn't get to see the valley covered in snow.

The transportation and accommodation conditions in the mountains are quite harsh, and the temperature difference between day and night is large, so remember to bring warm clothes.

By Blue Rose |

The landform is very special, and the vegetation in the scenic area is also very special, it is worth a visit!

By Jack Gao |

It is so beautiful, like a fairyland. The natural environment has been preserved as it was 100 years ago. This shows the strength of the United States in environmental protection.

February in Yosemite was still quite cold, and the California wildfires had left some of the forests burnt, leaving little vegetation. Yosemite boasts numerous waterfalls, both large and small, which, set against the dramatic rock formations, create a unique spectacle. The most striking attraction in February is Firefall. As the sun sets, photographers flock to the area, their cameras and cameras eager to see the "fire" appear. The fire in Firefall is actually a form of light, the red glow of the setting sun hitting the falls, creating the spectacular spectacle. However, the recent lack of rain has dried up the Horsetail Falls, leaving no waterfall visible, only the crimson-stained rocks. Animals abound here, including bears, squirrels, crows, and woodpeckers. Tall trees are everywhere, and you might spot a century-old tree uprooted by the roadside. Many others have been cut down by humans. As the sun sets, Yosemite Valley is bathed in a rosy red.

By Lindsay |

Yosemite is another two-hour drive from Fresno. There was some traffic at the entrance, as people lined up at the gate to buy tickets. We bought an annual pass for the national park, which cost $80. If you buy a separate pass, it's about $30 per car. We entered Yosemite via Highway 140. In winter, you can only explore the Canyonlands. The Yosemite Creek and Porcupine Flats you see are inaccessible. There's really not much to see in Yosemite in winter, so a full day is enough for a quick tour.

Mark Yosemite National Park [Victory]

El Capitan + Bridal Veil Falls + Yosemite Falls + Tunnel View + + + Sudden heavy snow

When we were leaving the park, it suddenly snowed heavily and the tires slipped. We were almost stuck on a curve with no signal and no guardrail.

The scenery of Yosemite is incomparable to Yellowstone. If you have been to Yellowstone in winter, there is no need to come to Yosemite [hehe]

Yosemite and the San Francisco Bay Area are located at similar latitudes, only a few hundred kilometers apart, yet the climates are vastly different. In July, you could see people wearing thin down jackets on the streets of San Francisco, but Yosemite was scorching, with highs exceeding 38 degrees Celsius. Strangely, the Half Dome Campground where we stayed overnight in Yosemite Valley didn't offer air conditioning.

By Mockingjay |

Yosemite's scenery, which consists solely of natural scenery like mountains and waterfalls, doesn't quite live up to the park's high reputation. Jiuzhaigou is much better. I recommend it, but not strongly.

Who originally came up with the name "Yosemite"? How could it be so poetic and picturesque? Its elegance is so compelling that it makes one eager to explore. Only after experiencing it myself did I realize that this masterpiece of Earth's glacial period truly lives up to its name. Yosemite National Park was the second stop on this 14-day California road trip and another pleasant surprise.

By Libra |

I think Yosemite is a natural landscape dominated by waterfalls and tall cedar trees. You can see waterfalls everywhere, and waterfalls often fall from cliffs, which is very beautiful! But compared to Yellowstone, it still has some differences. There are too many people in this place, and parking spaces are difficult to find, and they are all one-way.

By Mr. Qiao |

Before leaving, I was worried about when the east gate of Yosemite National Park on Highway 120 would open. After passing by, I found that the ice and snow were still melting and in many places the snow was still rushing down the road. The mountain road was also rugged and difficult to drive on, so it made sense to open it in July.

By leisurely |

The viewpoints include Valley View, Tunnel View, and Glacier Point. Short hikes within 20 minutes include Bridal Veil Falls and Yosemite Underground Falls. Hiking paths of 1-2 hours include Mist Trail and Mirror Lake.

The tour can be completed in one day with a reasonable and compact schedule, but you can only choose between Canyon Point and Glacier Point for sunset, and it will be more physically demanding.

The order of the day's tour is to drive into Yosemite Valley at 7:30 AM. Both the entrance and exit are one-way. Upon entering, admire Bridal Veil Fall (you don't need to hike to see it from a distance). Park your car in the visitor parking lot at around 8:00 AM, walk 3 minutes to the shuttle bus stop at Platform 10, take the shuttle bus to Platform 16, and hike the Mist Trail. This includes taking photos and having lunch (bring your own), which takes about 4 hours. At 1:00 PM, return to Platform 16 and take the shuttle bus to the next stop, Mirror Lake, at 17. The hike takes about 1.5 hours round trip (if it's past 2:00 PM after the Mist Trail, we recommend skipping Mirror Lake). Take the shuttle bus to Platform 6 to see the Yosemite Underground Falls, then take the shuttle bus to Platform 10 and return to the parking lot.

It's best to depart from the visitor center parking lot before 3:30 PM to reach Glacier Point. You'll need to stop at Tunnel Point for about 10-15 minutes, and then drive about an hour to reach Glacier Point. A shuttle bus is available from Picnic Point, but the last one is at 5:00 PM, leaving some time before sunset at 8:30 PM, so you'll need to drive yourself. Glacier Point is very popular, and parking is limited, so it's recommended to arrive before 5:00 PM.

It feels exactly like the filming location for "The Revenant." The film was shot in Canada, but the Rocky Mountains are similar, so it looks pretty similar. I think this valley looks average. The photos are okay. Maybe it's because I've been in New Zealand for so long, but I find the natural landscapes in general pretty average.

Yosemite National Park, this time entering from the east and exiting from the west on Highway 120. Along the way, I saw beautiful lakes, forests, and snow-capped mountains. I saw Americans leisurely setting up camp, fishing, walking their dogs, and playing with their children... It felt like God had given Americans such a generous gift.

Our top recommendation is to visit Glacier Point in the evening to watch the sunset and see the entire Yosemite Valley. The drive from Yosemite Valley to Glacier Point takes about an hour, and the winding mountain road is truly a winding one. Driving becomes even more challenging at night, so everyone drives very slowly, so be sure to pay attention to safety.

Go in the summer, on a sunny day, and it will be as beautiful as a lotus, holy, pure, and bright.

The park is quite large, with several highways running through it. Planning your route well in advance is crucial. Finding good camping spots can also be difficult.

Yosemite in winter is blanketed in snow, presenting a completely different scene than in summer. We chose Route 41. There are several other routes that also lead into the park, but one was closed due to winter snow. Route 41 was the most convenient from our hotel's location; it was just a short drive from there. The drive from our accommodation to the park entrance took about an hour. It wasn't snowing in Yosemite town when we visited, but after a short drive along Route 41, you could see drifts of snow. Therefore, if you're visiting Yosemite in winter, be sure to bring snow chains! Four-wheel drive vehicles or those with existing snow tires don't need to worry, but two-wheel drive vehicles are absolutely required! They'll be checked upon entry, and not wearing them can be dangerous in winter, as the roads within the park are easily slippery due to the accumulated snow.

This national park is really worth a visit! Highly recommended!

With the overwhelming advertising from travel agencies, this place needs no introduction. Yosemite Valley is well-developed, with numerous hotels and other commercial facilities, but even during peak season, booking a spot is still difficult, and campsites are also hard to come by. Book your accommodations in advance, drive in, and utilize the public transportation system. Otherwise, when it's crowded, you won't have a place to park your car. The search for parking is a real bummer and a waste of time. Buses have priority, and many roads are reserved for buses, making them faster than driving. However, they can be quite crowded, much like domestic buses. There's no other way around it; there are so many people!

The route centered around Yosemite Valley offers a concentrated selection of attractions, including waterfalls of all sizes. Mirror Lake and Tenaya Lake are both nearby, and Glacier Viewpoint is not far away, offering views of Half Dome. While the other routes offer more distant attractions, the scenery along the way more than makes up for this slight disadvantage. There are numerous hiking trails, tailored to the weather and your fitness level. Horseback riding and cycling are also available, and there are dedicated RV campsites. If you have enough time, a three- to five-day trip is perfectly acceptable, and a week or two won't be too tiring.

The park offers a hotel and a small supermarket, and restrooms are available at each scenic spot. The park boasts lush vegetation and abundant water resources, remarkably preserving the original forest landscape. Tickets are valid for seven days and cost $30 per car and $20 per motorcycle, with various ticket options available. The park's South and West Gates are open year-round, while the East Gate is closed in winter. Please refer to the official website for specific hours. When Alice and Pan booked their hotel, the East Gate hotel emailed them to inform them that the East Gate would not be open in April. They were truly considerate. We later switched to entering through the South Gate and exiting through the West Gate (we had originally planned to enter and exit through the East Gate). The waterfalls, due to meltwater from the mountains, are abundant in spring, gradually decreasing in summer until the dry season. Be sure to research the official website before visiting. However, the viewing angles vary from season to season, and there are no set rules.

It is a must-see attraction. Each season has different scenery, but there are still fewer things to see in winter. The weather is cold, so if you come, you must pay attention to the weather. It is more suitable to come in summer and autumn.

If you travel to California, a visit to Yosemite is a must.

Yosemite, how should I put it, is so beautiful. It is a place worth visiting before flying to the United States.

By Peace in the morning |

I went there in January just as Highway 120 on the east side was closed due to snow, so I drove west. It was my first time driving on a snowy mountain road. Cars needed to be equipped with snow chains to enter the park, and 4WD vehicles were required but not required. From light snow and thin ice at the foot of the mountain, to over a meter of snow deep inside, standing by the roadside, the snow was already waist-deep. Countless snowmen were piled up on the open plains. The mountain hotels were all closed, their roofs covered in snow.

It's worth a visit, but the scenery is not very outstanding. Such scenery can also be found in China.

Yosemite National Park, located in the western United States state of California, is the nation's first national park. It covers approximately 1,100 square miles. Legend has it that Native Americans inhabited this vast valley over a thousand years ago, leading to the name "Yosemite," which derives from the Indian word for grizzly bear and serves as a totem for the local Native American tribes.

Yosemite has two entrances, north and south. After entering Yosemite from the south gate along Highway 41, the first right turn should be the Mariposa Grove giant sequoia forest. Tens of thousands of years old redwood trees stand in the middle of the road, and visitors pass through them along the mountain path.

In Yosemite National Park, cell phone signal is almost zero. It is really difficult to clearly locate each attraction, so it is best to bring a portable WiFi in advance.

The weather in the valley isn't as hot as in California, with temperatures approaching 0°C. If you're staying in a tent in Curry Village, be sure to pack some warm clothing, as there's only a thin blanket inside. Without two layers of warm clothing, it's difficult to survive the night. If you arrive early, you can rent a sleeping bag at the store or ask for extra blankets at the front desk.

At the confluence of CA-120, CA-49, and CA-41 lie Valley View and Tunnel View, both ideal vantage points for viewing the U-shaped valley. The U-shaped valley is covered in cobwebs, with Half Moon Butte in the distance serving as the valley's most striking feature. The view from here is relatively expansive within the valley. On clear days, at midday, the sun beats down on the granite cliffs of Half Moon Butte, highlighting its dramatic and imposing presence. In the evening, the setting sun paints Half Moon Butte an orange-red, resembling a blazing fire. When the sky is overcast, the dark clouds, juxtaposed against the inky blackness of Half Moon Butte, create a sense of depth. When the rain clears, rays of sunlight pierce through the gaps in the clouds, shifting as the clouds dissipate, creating a natural laser show. After walking a short distance, we heard the rumbling sound of water and saw Bridalveil Falls on our right. This small waterfall, hazy and shimmering, resembles a bridal veil suspended in the air. During the Ice Age, Yosemite's main valley contained a large amount of ice, creating a deeper valley. The tributaries flowing into the main valley contained less ice, creating shallower valleys. After the Ice Age ended, these tributaries became like hanging valleys. As the rivers reached the end of these valleys and prepared to merge with the main valley, they cascaded down one waterfall after another. Bridalveil Falls is one of the many waterfalls flowing from these hanging valleys, and it's the first one we'll see along the way.

In Yosemite National Park, you can see such complete and beautiful pine cones everywhere. If you like, you can pick some and bring them back home. They won't be checked at customs. However, due to the wildfires, taking the 120 out of the north gate, the pine cones on the ground were probably burned by the people and turned black.

Yosemite (also transliterated as "Youshanmeidi"), pronounced with the emphasis on the "S," is not a traditional American English term. Located in California, the park was first protected in 1864 and established in 1890 as the nation's first national park. Spanning 1,200 square miles, the park boasts strikingly different scenery in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, boasting a rich tapestry of geological landscapes, including waterfalls, valleys, boulders, redwood forests, and grasslands.

There are West, East, and South gates. Generally, people coming from Las Vegas enter through the East Gate, while those coming from San Francisco enter through the West Gate. Some people also use the South Gate instead. Mono Lake is just outside the East Gate.

Yosemite Valley is the heart of the park and a must-see. A three-day visit is recommended. Each scenic area is vastly different, and the routes aren't straightforward, often requiring several hours of driving time. Each area also offers hiking trails; it's not enough to simply drive in and take a look. It's practically unrealistic to avoid driving.

Each campground offers its own free and paid activities, both during the day and at night, which are well worth signing up for. It's recommended not to drive after dark, so arrive at your campsite by 4:00 PM to rest and prepare for the next day's journey or to participate in the evening activities. Daytime activities include hiking, horseback riding, cycling, rock climbing, boating, tour buses, golf, and, in winter, skiing and ice skating. Common wildlife sightings include deer, squirrels, and bears.

There are nearly ten campgrounds in the park, ranging from rental sites where you'll need to bring your own tent and equipment to fully equipped tent and cabin camps. Prices vary widely. Campgrounds in the park are very limited and must be reserved in advance. Bookings are not available on Booking.com, so book on the official Yosemite website.

There's a free app called Chimani Yosemite that I recommend downloading before your trip. It's very detailed and works even without Wi-Fi. It's only available in English. You can download it from the Apple Store and give it a try.

The most famous is Half Dome, the origin of the North Face logo, which is in the middle of the park.

The Visitor Center closes at 4:30. There are many shuttle buses that go to various places in Yosemite Valley, and they all have limited opening hours.

As the most popular national park in the US, Yosemite offers unique scenery year-round, necessitating a different walking route. There are no tourist attractions here; they're everywhere. Simply park your car and follow the crowds to discover the park's beauty. Yosemite is divided into two routes: Upper Valley and Lower Valley. Definitely spend two or three days there, letting go of everything and experiencing nature at its purest.

The season is very important for this park. When we went there, the waterfall had no water, so the scenery was greatly reduced. However, there are too many people in the peak season and accommodation in the park is difficult to find, so there are pros and cons.

Yosemite is huge, and we planned a day and a half to explore, which was plenty of time. We entered through the east gate and drove along the scenic road, stopping at various scenic spots to admire the scenery. The air was crisp and cool, and the pale blue sky was dotted with wispy white clouds, a stark contrast to the scorching heat of Death Valley the previous day.

We parked at Half Dome Viewpoint and took in the view. It's one of Yosemite National Park's iconic landmarks and a popular pilgrimage site for rock climbers and hikers. Half Dome itself isn't located in any scenic area, but it can be reached via the Misty Trail in Yosemite Valley, the closest route. The hike takes about 12 hours round trip. Other routes are available, but they take more than a day.

For a traveler like me with limited time in Yosemite, there are two main things to see: the giant trees and Yosemite Valley. These trees are truly enormous, the kind that cars can pass under and reach the sky. Some are left with only a layer of bark, as the saying goes, "a tree is alive only through its skin." Yosemite Valley, on the other hand, is a magnificent sight, a sudden, expansive experience that will leave you wanting to linger.

Yosemite is a truly well-named place, evoking a sense of majestic elegance and pristine beauty. I've heard countless tales of its beauty, both here and abroad. As we entered the park, the mountains on either side suddenly took on a dynamic presence. The towering ridges, towering rock formations, and lush trees guarded this magical, pristine land, all awe-inspiring. As the car slowly slid along the winding mountain road, our eyes suddenly lit up, as if pierced by a brilliant light. Looking closely, we saw several snow-capped peaks. This paradise on earth was breathtaking, a sight to behold.

This is a place whose beauty is unimaginable before one goes there, but after going there one wants to come again.

Driving through the west gate, I was greeted by towering fir trees, the most beautiful of which are untouched. If I ever get the chance to visit again, I'd definitely bring a friend along to share the surprise, the beauty, the emotion. We'd pitch a tent together, the ground as our bed, the sky as our blanket, and dance with the stars. Perhaps the wonder of a national park is that you never know what landscape you'll encounter after passing through one forest.

Driving at night in national parks is highly recommended. It's very dangerous because animals are active at night. We almost collided with a deer. We could almost see the deer's innocent eyes and its frightened expression. Fortunately, we were quick to swerve and avoid it. Otherwise, it would have been very difficult to find help in the deep mountains and forests!

Yosemite is a typical glacial landscape, famous for its magnificent valleys and waterfalls, and all its lakes and ponds are very clear.

Huge rocks, long tunnels, waterfalls that flow all year round, giant fir trees, it is impossible to decide on one attraction after another.

The beauty of Yosemite is just like what I've seen on social media: no noise, no signals, no Wi-Fi radiation—a pure, unadulterated beauty. If you approach everything with a tranquil heart, it's as if they were imbued with faith, vibrant and expressive. There are many such beautiful sights in China, but the experience isn't as profound. It's not that the moon is round in foreign countries; it's based on my own physical and mental experience. In short, you're a rare sight in this bustling world!

Entering Yosemite, one is struck by its beauty and profound depths. Within a radius of more than ten kilometers, majestic redwoods and pines abound. We've never seen such a concentration of giant trees, nor have we ever witnessed such a magnificent forest. The tree hollows were particularly impressive. Several people could walk inside simultaneously, and it's said that carriages could even pass through them. On the way to the tree hollows, we encountered countless giant trees, many nearly one meter in diameter. Their towering heights truly made one marvel at the richness of America's forest resources.

Yosemite National Park is open year-round. Maps and tourist information are available at the visitor center, but admission to the park is $20 per vehicle. Information about park activities can be found on the entrance notice board and posted throughout the park. Yosemite National Park has three entrances from the west: CA-120, CA-140, and CA-41, from north to south.

Yosemite is one of my absolute favorite national forests. Walking through it feels so peaceful, and I especially love the blue tones of the forest. It was already past 4 p.m. when we arrived in Yosemite. Darkness comes early and quickly in California in the winter, so most of my photos were taken without sunlight.

Before entering the park, I knew it was known for its beauty, a word that reminded me of Guilin's extraordinary beauty. But later on, I realized it wasn't what I'd imagined. There were no abrupt lines, no magnificent carvings, and even the protruding Half Dome cliffs lacked gentle angles.

The trees on the mountain remain in their most original appearance, naturally broken or uprooted, showing their unyielding life even in death.

It is located in eastern California, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and its pure natural scenery has a shocking beauty.

Yosemite National Park is essentially rock. Two million years ago, glaciers created this natural temple, carving the ubiquitous granite into precipitous peaks and polishing the steep cliffs.
