Does anyone know how much, say, a litre of Gordons or Bombay Sapphire gin costs on arrival at Da Nang international airport. I find sites for the shops but no way of seeing what they have.
Does it have to be purchased at the airport? The big supermarkets are the cheapest from my experience.
I forget the exact prices, but a bottle of bourbon that cost $28AUD at the supermarket in Vung Tau was about $40 AUD at home prepandemic times.
Thanks for that. I'd prefer the airport but if necessary can wait for a supermarket. It's a few years since we were there and I had trouble once - I've forgotten where - getting real Gordon's gin; it was a substitute I think. That was an early trip though so things may have changed.
As above, prices better at the supermarket and saves lugging it from the airport

I buy mine at Lottemart and I seem to remember there were 3-4 types of Gin including Bombay Sapphire and Gordons. All the authentic varieties imported into Vietnam come a from an agent in Singapore who applies their own seal to thwart counterfeiting.
Edited: 2 years agoWaking this thread from its slumber... What about wine? Is that significantly cheaper at Duty Free on Arrival compared to buying in town?
We were there last December 2024 & picked up some pretty good promotional whiskies. Upon arrival we purchased a bottle of Chivas Mizunara Cask (70cl) at RM$140 (appros USD$32). On the way out again picked up 2 bottles of Aberlour 12 /1 ltr at RM240 per bottle (approx USD$56. You need to look around for promo items for best pricing.
