I have a ring that needs remodelling and am looking for recommendations for a shop in Jalan Hasanuddin in Denpasar.
My knowledge of Indonesian to general greetings and light banter so I am looking for a recommendation for someone who can understand English for this transaction.
Any tips for this and anything to be aware of would be helpful. I need a whole ring remodelled with etching added so will likely be trading gold and some gems for gold and the work. Should I even do this?
Thanks in advance.
I had two rings made from my own gold, diamonds and stones.
I had my own ideas of what I wanted along with some photos.
I did my research for many months as I wanted a good and honest jeweler as these pieces were of sentimental value.
I decided to go with Ella from Dakota Jewelry
I corresponded with her for a couple of months prior to my arrival
Ella and I were both on the same page.
She had a few suggestions and also liked what I had chosen.
Ella came to my hotel on our second day.
All the gold was weighed in front of me along with diamonds and stones being tested.
The work took her ten days and photos were sent to me along the way.
I am so very very happy with the rings made.
I have had so many compliments as well.
I will be using her again next year.
If you would like her details I am happy to pass on to you.
Thank you for that info Tracey,
Is Dakota is the one based in Legian? If so I may have to leave for another time if I can’t get a recommendation for a jeweller in Denpasar. I was over in Legian earlier in the week and not planning on going back there this trip. I have other things to do in Denpasar so was hoping to combine with this. I see your work took 10 days and I don’t have this much time left. I may have to leave on this occasion :(
Dakota are based in Legian however Ella travels to you.
I had to book her in two months in advance.
Along with the rings I also had a bangle made too.
Hopefully you will find someone
I want to share an important update…. Ella is no longer associated with Dakota Jewelry. She now has her very own shop, Ella Jewelry in Legian, Bali.
I had a pair of diamond earrings custom made by Ella and I honestly couldn’t be happier. From start to finish she was absolutely professional, she came to my hotel, sat with me to discuss exactly what I wanted, and within a short time delivered a result that exceeded my expectations. The earrings are simply stunning, the craftsmanship is second to none, and the service was personal, warm, and genuine.
If you’re looking for high-quality, custom-made jewelry in Bali, I cannot recommend Ella highly enough. To find her, just Google Ella Jewelry Bali or look her up on Facebook. She now has her own dedicated shop where you’ll be in very good hands.
