Manila to Bohol

We arrive in Manila at 11 AM,on Mon, day after Easter. Since there will be crowds, how much time do I need to allow to get a flight to Cebu? We will then need to catch the ferry to Bohol. Is this doable in the same day? Flights to Bohol appear to be sold out.

Would I have time to catch a 3PM flight?

Then how much time would I need to get from the Cebu airport to the ferry? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

You havent said from which terminal to which terminal which makes the question impossible to answer. I

Personally I would would depart early the next day and do an overnight in Manila, unless your booking is a "protected" connection. If your incoming flight is delayed , no amount of time may be enough.

There are lots of flights from .NAIA to Tagbilaran on April 21st with seats including 15.40 Air Asia. 16.15 Cebu Pacific 15.10 and 17.50 Philippine Airlines

I don't know where you got the information flights were sold out but not from the airlines own websites.

There is a terminal reorganisation going on which makes life difficult but if you need to change terminals they are scattered around the perimeter and need plenty if time.

I think with any of the above you would be O.k as long as the plane is reasonably on time.

You are going to gain very little arriving into Bohol late in the day. There are number of good hotels in Newport City the other side of the dual carriage way to T3 NAIA including the Belmont, which is at the end of an air-conditioned skywalk that connects T3 to the area. It has an ace roof top pool and bar and Newport Resorts World is a cock's stride away if you want other F&B options. If you book via Agoda you be able to get a room for circa 3000 a night.

I previously tried Cebu Pacific & got the notice of sold out. I just checked & as you said, & multiple flights available & on a couple airlines! I will be flying from USA thru Seoul. They haven't said which terminal yet, just TBD. Assuming the furthest, if I booked late afternoon flight, 4-5 PM & arrived in Bohol 6-7 PM, that sounds like it would work. Assuming there would be a taxi/tricycle to get us to accommodations & ok to check in that late. Does this sound reasonable? I'd prefer not to spend a day & night in Manila if not needed.

The problem is as Tommo points out If you are self-connecting nothing can save you if the inbound flight is delayed or rescheduled and that is on top of the inefficiencies that NAIA can throw at one.

With a change of terminal to have a modicum of safety if you insist on a same day connection you need at least 4 to 5 hours between flights, leaning more towards 5 hours. There was a recent poster like you was a little sceptical about what they were initially being advised by the regulars about changing flights/terminals at MNL. But, had the good grace to post their tales of woe and confirm what they being advised of.

Each to thier own, but I can't see the benefit of trying a same day connection and arriving late in resort with all the stress and hassle that brings. When one can derisk the situation and be having a few scoops at say the roof top pool bar at the Belmont and an easy walk to T3 the following morning.

Thank you all for the good advice. Seems the delay is the smart choice.
