11 night itinerary

Arrive Pnomh Penn (3 nights)

Sen Monorom (3 nights)

Kratie (2nights)

Depart Siem Reap (3 nights)

Appreciate any feedback on the above, we arrive end of March.

Sorry but what feedback do you want

You missed a space between 2 and nights

Don't have any other feedback, sorry

Many thanks for the positive responses!

I was hoping for some guidance and feedback if it was worth the detour to Sen Monorom & Kratie and if it was manageable in the timescales.

Perhaps asking instead of expecting us to guess would help

You will spend a lot of time travelling. Is it worth it personally I like both Sem Monorum and Katie and you will see a very different Cambodia to Siem Reap and PP.

Have a look at Google maps for how long it takes to drive between places and add on extra if using public transport

Hi

We covered the same locations but had a few extra days so we did

3 nights PP

5 nights Mondulkiri - 3 Sen Menorem and 2 nights at the excellent Jahoo Gibbon Camp

2 nights Chhlong (we couldn't get our preferred accommodation in Kratie so stayed a bit further out)

4 nights Siem Reap.

3 nights/2 days in perfect for PP allowing you time to get used to timezones etc.

3 nights in Sen Menorem is ok - another night would allow you to do an overnight at Jahoo Gibbon Camp but they do have a day Gibbon trek option which would also work for you - an early start but totally worth it if you like wildlife. The other day/half day I'd suggest the likes of Elephant Valley Project.

Depending upon your interests, one tweak you might want to think about is taking 1 night from Kratie and adding it to Siem Reap as there is a lot to see there. That would depend on your transportation plans but if you were using private transport, you could travel from Sen Menorem one day, arrive at lunchtime, spend the afternoon in Kratie, do a dolphin trip the following morning & head up to Siem Reap arriving that evening.

But essentially, yes it looks good!

Hi Ponaire,

Huge thanks for your post, very helpful & informative.

Very much looking forward to our trip in a few months.

Sen monorom to Kratie is about a 4 hour drive but if using public transport then it may be necessary to change at Snuol which will add time to the journey and hoping there are seats on the bus from PP. that won’t leave much time to explore Kratie especially if they are wanting to see the dolphins

You will lose a day (for the most part) travelling between each location. Worth it is up to you to decide. It's your holiday.

Thanks for all the replies.

Thinking of booking 2 day elephant & jungle trek with Mondulkiri Project while in Sen Monorom. There is a van advertised with Virak Buntham from there to Kratie departing 8am which takes 3.5hrs. Plan to cycle around Kaoh Trong island on day of arrival and do the dolphin kayaking tour the following day.
