Laos to Ubon Ratchathani to Bangkok
Hello
We will be crossing from Laos into Thailand via the Vang Tao/Chong Mek border, most likely by the bus from Pakse that will take us direct to Ubon Ratchathani. Once we get dropped at the bus station there, how long will it take to get to the airport? And how much approx would the fare be? (Assuming it will be relatively easy to find a taxi to take us?).
I need to work out how much time to leave between expected arrival time in Ubon Ratchathani and our flight up to Bangkok.

Have you looked at Google maps. It's only about 7 Kms from the bus station to the airport. Ironically heading back into town as the airport is in the town.
The bus will pass much nearer to the airport on it's way to the bus station so keep an eye on your map as you go. Jump off there and it's only a couple of Kms.
I can't believe you'll have any problems getting transport from bus station to airport. Less chance if you jump off the bus.
