swimming at local (not bikini) beaches
hi,
We will soon be in the maldives for a few weeks break, staying at two local islands (Ukulhas and Dhigurgh).
We intend to mostly swim at a bikini beaches, but may want to swim at the other beaches
Now i think me as a guy, i will have long shorts anyway near to the knee, and if i need to, i can wear a tshirt into the sea
My wife is packing a below the knee clothing, and will wear a sports teeshirt covering her shoulders also. Is that enough, or does she need to cover her head also in the water?
We want to be respectful but not go silly with extra layers when we may not need to

Hi, shorts and t-shirt is fine out of bikini beach on a local island. If you want to be even more respectful choose darker colors, eg. deep blue ...

There are signs also on local beach (non-bikini) that show what to wear. It's a fact that man have to wear a t-shirt on these local beaches.
