Phuket to Koh Lipe Ferry.
Hey all, bit of help please…
Doing research for April and the only “ferry” I can see for this crossing is a fast speedboat type that takes 5hrs and is rather small. So no toilets and life jackets on and plenty of sickness I’m thinking!
Am I missing some information on larger ferries or is this the only go too?

As has been the case for many years now, the only ferry doing the route is Tigerline
All other boats are speedboats which as you say, would not be a comfortable or enjoyable experience at all in my opinion, on such a long route
If I went to Ko Lipe again, I would fly to Hat Yai, and travel to the island from there, to minimise the time spent on water
Hi, thank you so much for this and yeah I did think this was the case.
We’ve been travelling before but this was 10yrs ago when we were in our 30s and things have changed lol. Just reading about Tigerline Ferry and wow it certainly is a cattle market experience so I think it’s either put up and shut up for tho whole ferry experience or catch the flight to Hat Yai as you say and go from there then Koh Lipe up to Lanta.
