My husband and I will be visiting Kolkata at the end of March. We would very much like to do an evening street food tour where we can be guided to places and sample local dishes .Does anyone have recommendations?
I did the street food tour with Calcutta Walks about a year ago and would recommend. They have a few other tours too.

None are bargains, but you are getting food, too.
Calcutta Walks is the well established outfit in Kolkata, but these might be good, and get good reviews:

Which are would you be staying in ?
We are staying at the Elgin Fairlawns.
Elgin Fairlawn is situated close to the street food shops.
You will get chats, bhel, chana bathura, Rolls (Nizam), Kachori (opp Regal Cinema), Anadi Cabin, the famous Decres Lane and many more within a kilometre.
