Coin laundries
Travelling with a family, I’ll definitely need access to a laundry at least once if not twice. I see some hotels have a self-operate coin laundry, which is great (provided not too crowded with a wait etc). Of course these are less common in say 5 star. To avoid exorbitant hotel laundry service prices, what’s the situation regarding the accessibility of public coin laundries in Singapore? Easy or difficult to find?

If you are staying for 6 nights or more you could consider staying in a serviced apartment, most have a washer/dryer in the room. Otherwise there are some service apartments that also operate as a hotel so do not require 6-nights minimum booking, such as Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Beach Road, Ascott Raffles Place.
Edited: 10:02 am, February 03, 2025There are plenty around, but not many in downtown/tourist areas, more in residential neighbourhoods. In terms of downtown areas, there are a few kn Chinatown. Where are you staying?
Orchard Plaza has one if you want to stay in Orchard Road.
I still need to look further into hotels, so I don’t have a location yet. Just wanted to know that they exist and I can get to one if I decide on a hotel without this onsite. Thank you!
Coin operated laundromat depends on the hotel location, needs to use google map to locate with reference to the hotel.
One load about 8kg is around SGD8 for washing and includes liquid detergent.
Drying varies with the duration, ranging from SGD 6 - 12.
Thank you - really appreciate knowing the approx price, as it's worth me taking into account when deciding on a hotel.
There is a large number of 24/7 coin laundries in and around Chinatown, Bugis, Bencoolen, Outram, Hong Kong street, River Valley, Clarke Quay etc.

finding public coin laundries isn’t too difficult, though they tend to be more common in residential areas than in the heart of tourist districts. many neighborhoods have self-service laundromats, and some shopping malls or community centers also offer laundry facilities.
