Reservation for Tiananmen Square needed separately
Hi, I brought a combined Forbidden City/Tiananmen Square ticket through travel guide china website. I have read conflicting views as to whether you still need to apply/notify Tiananmen Square separately that you will be visiting that day? Is this the case?

The person who was told they needed a separate reservation was wanting to visit Tiananman Square the day before they visited The Forbidden City.
If you visit both on the same day you'll be fine.
Most visitors enter The Forbidden City from Tiananman Square via the meridian gate.
