Weather in late August - Early September
I know it’s down as monsoon season and nothings guaranteed but how terrible is the weather through the days on average?
been prob 7 times in sept . always had a mix of full on sun, part cloudy days, showers and full on rain for half a day . Ratio for 11 days something like 5, 3, 2, 1. The longer u go for , the best chance of good weather
The only times I actively avoid are when the monsoon changeover is likely to occur…apart from that we travel in both high season and low season and have been in August and September several times. We had one unseasonably rainy holiday in August, maybe 10 years or so ago, but even then we had at least as much sunshine as we had rain and we enjoyed a brilliant holiday. And the best weather we have ever had (constant blue sky, no clouds whatsoever, perfectly still, baking hot, not a drop of rain), and that includes high season holidays, was during a recent September.
I think it’s important to know that it is possible you could get a complete washout, but it is very unlikely. Personally, I would book without hesitation 😊
