Kimpton vs hyatt regency
Trying to decide where to stay when at Ko samui. Looking at Kimpton which with some points sprinked on I can use my two free night certificates and then I would have to pay cash the third night. I have platnium status with IHG. Compared to staying at the Hyatt Regency where I have explorist status and I would go with a cash rate ocean view room which is cheaper than Kimpton and I can use a club certificate for lounge access for those three nights. Anyone with experience with one or both able to chime in?
In terms of location - Kimpton Kitalay over Hyatt Regency any day. Hyatt Regency is a taxi ride to any where- there are no bars / restaurants within walking distance & it's a fast road, no good for walking.. Kimpton is right on Choeng Mon beach & you have a number of places to eat & drink on the beach & also on the beach road.

a bit late, but totally agree the Kimpton is a better location beach wise
