Hello My husband and I are heading to Japan in November, I've been looking online and can't seem to find anywhere on the official site to purchase tickets. Is it possible to pre purchase tickets or can they only be purchased once we arrive in Kanazawa?
Many thanks for any advice.
320 yen or there is a combo ticket with the castle. No need to buy in advance.
There are no advanced tickets. If you go early, you can get in free. People 65 and older are also free, and they have several free days in Sakura/koyo seasons.

Be prepared to show proof of age, not a problem since you should be carrying your passport at all times in Japan. Besides from your avatar photo, Pamela M, you do not look as if you are in that age group. :-)

Thanks so much for your replies. Good to know that we can go early for free.
You are indeed correct I am not 65!
We spent a fantastic holiday in Japan in July, great country, and gathering suggestions from friends and from TA experts we did'nt buy any ticket in advance, including shinkansen tickets, and everything was quite smooth. Coming from the west we have the attitude to buy/book everything in advance (may be in Italy less so) but simply put there's no need.
