Differences between Discovery Centre and National Museum
Hi, to my understanding, both of these establishments are museums about Singapore's history and culture. So what are the differences between them and which one would you recommend more? Thanks a lot!
National Museum. Singapore Disovery Centre is more geared towards total defence and national education for local students.

National Museum is currently being renovated and sections are closed but the History Gallery remains open. Combining a visit to the very near Peranakan Museum or the nearby Asian Civilizations Museum will give you a better picture on Singapore, and Asian trade. I recommend on-line Friends of the Museums annual membership as it allows you to bring one guest and is good at the above museums and a few others.. By all means take advantage of the daily guided tours in English, and other languages included in your admission- guided tour schedule aon each museum's website.
