Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding my flight. Thank you for your patience and thoughts.
So. I did buy a ticket for Batik air, over Air paz. I did get an email recently, from Airpaz, that the flight was rescheduled by 3h 40 mins and I can change for another Batik air flight or cancel. There is also this line written:
Please note that airlines may change their policies at any time without prior notice and the refund amount will be subject to the airline’s policy. Click the button for requesting flight cancellation.
I did look at the Batik airline policy - it states that if the difference between original and new time is over 3 hours, I'll get a full refund. So I did do that because the time doesn't suit us and there is timewisely better flights with different airlines. I filled a form through Airpaz. At one point there was a thing to agree with (if I am not wrong, there was no other option to choose and I just had to choose this) - I agree that I can get a voucher to use, for Airpaz, instead of the money. Now I am waiting. They contacted the Batik air and when(/if???) they get the money from them, I'll get the voucher/money. The form where the waiting status is says it could take between 20 - 80 days or similar.
My flight is in about 60 days.
What concerns me is that the original flight is still offered on some websites. In the system of Air paz I also see only the original time of my flight.
I don't mind if I get money back or voucher anymore. Or when I get it. Just knowing that I will is what I need.
I would really like to book the new flight with better time from a different airline as soon as possible. Traveling by three people and being responsible for us. It just feels weird to buy new tickets without being sure I am getting my money for the first one back.
My concern is, what's the chances that I don't get no refund, that they say the original time is valid (my ticket wasn't changed, I didn't get a new one with new time - the one they rescheduled it with) and I end up with two flights for the same day, 2 flights paid for? What if it lasts longer than the time I have - the 80 days? Do you have any experience with refunds with Air paz? Any recommendations? Ideas? Maybe there is something really basic I didn't think about.
Thank you for reading so far:)))
Also, the Airpaz thing - I did it because my credit card didn't work when I was trying to buy the flight with batik air directly. I know these exactly are the risks of the third party...
Have a great day,
Zuzana
Zuzana, we are talking about which flight/date?
Is that important? Kl-Bali, 2.11.25
I just try to understand what has happened.
I see 6 flights on Sundays from KL to Dps, 5 of them with Batik Air Malaysia and 1 with codeshare Batik Air Malaysia and Batik Air Indonesia.
If you say that the original one is still on sale, still available (also for 3 people?) that is weird. Also weird is that they only offer a voucher and in that case they don't need to wait for the airline. Batik is a part of the Lion Air Group and getting money back is a disaster, it can be up to 6 weeks wo why it will be 80 days I don't know. It looks like Airpaz add another few weeks.
But why did you accept the voucher then in the first place? You have the right to ask for a refund. So they are offering something which is not the policy of the airlines. Airpaz will get their money back from the Lion Air Group that's for sure. This doesn't sound good at all.
Overall Airpaz is not the best ticketprovider in Asia, the reviews are terrible.
I would try to call them or even better contact them via the chatservice to make sure what and when are the next steps and I definitely ask for a money refund.
But, also if the refund will cause problems you still need new tickets and I wouldn't book with them again.
I use Traveloka.com, Nusatrip.com, Trip.com and Tiket.com
