Given the flood situation, I have cancelled my trip for first week of December. All my cancellations from Booking.com went through. Three flights booked directly through Vietnam airlines for inter-city travel within Vietnam are stuck.
I tried using their website to cancel and seek refund, the option doesnt come up. I tried writing to their online support team, got no response. Their international customer support number isnt working and neither is anyone answering their India sales office number.
What should I do?
Try and contact them through social media. Facebook is probably your best bet.
But also do you have refundable flights? While the floods are bad in central Vietnam now December is month away and the situation will be completely different by then.
Edited: 5:29 am, November 01, 2025Why did you cancel it's a month away.
I fly november 12th no way gonna cancel.
Did you book refundable flights ?
If the flights are refundable then you should try through all official channels.
That said, as mentioned flooding at this time of year is very common and they quickly clean up and get back to fully operational so by early December what is happening now should be long cleared.
I presume you've gone through this page https://www.vietnamairlines.com/gb/en/help-desk/common-topics/Ticket-refund. Last time I used them they answered my email within 2 days and refunded me almost just as quick. Mind you that was a couple of years ago.
"flooding at this time of year is very common and they quickly clean up and get back to fully operational"
Sometimes they "quickly" clean up and get back to fully operational..not always.
