Lalitha mahal palace hotel stay reviw
Visiting on Dec 27 , planing to stay 2 nights at Mysore with parents and kid. How is lalitha mahal palace for 2 night stay. I need comfortable and clean room and clean bathroom. Reading mixed reviews online. other suggestions for stay?

Wonderful looking heritage building worth visiting but not recommended for stay. In my view Radisson Blu, JP Fortune, Pai Vista, Southern Star would be better choices. If you wish to stay in a heritage building Metropole or at a lower budget Green hotel could be considered.
Edited: 10:57 pm, November 11, 2025Lalitha Mahal palace hotel is no doubt a spacious heritage property with lavish grounds and big rooms. But overall maintenance & service experience has deteriorated with time.
You may look at Grand Mercure,Radisson Blu, JP Palace, Sandesh The Prince, which offers far better value for money experience.

I think this is a wonderful place but does need a lot of care and attention . It seems nothing has been done over the years and "fading grandeur" best describes it. I stayed there 12 years ago and it now appears to be much the same as back then. But, it is a truly beautiful palace with wonderful public rooms. I had no complaints and despite the reviews now I would return.
