Manohara hotel
Hello everyone,
Has anyone stayed at the Manohara hotel recently? MANOHARA is the only accommodation located inside the area of the Borobudur Temple. I want to do the Sunrise tour, which will be easy from this hotel.
From my research a few months ago, the Manohara was no longer a hotel but used for special events. The restaurant appeared to be open. I stayed at the Rumah Dharma Boutique which was fabulous. Note there are three Rumah Dharma facilities run by the same group/family.

Thank you for the updates. The hotel where you stayed is not far from the new entrance. Did you make the reservation with the hotel directly or through a third party?
Did you do the Sunrise tour for Borobudur?
Did you hire a driver and a tour guide?
Sorry for all these questions. It will be my first time in Indonesia, and I want to make it smooth and organized.

Hi Alla, It was hard to find information on the Ramah Dharma Boutique property so I contacted them directly via the What's App phone number on Google Maps to stay at the property at address RT.3/RW.12, Dusun XII, Gendingan, Borobudur, Magelang Regency, Central Java 56553, Indonesia. Remember they run three different properties. The property on Booking is not the one on RT.3. Confusing, but I was very pleased. I rented the large room, but the other rooms were nice. Rumah Dharma then emailed me.
Reference the Manohara lodging rooms: I saw four free standing small one bedroom "houses" up high on Bukit Dagi which I believe were the Manohara rooms as I was hiking around the park my second day. Looks like you could inquire about them from their website. I would not want to stay in them solo. Borobudur was visible in the distance and would be great on a clear day.
Do not need a guide for Borobudur (ticket comes with one). Recommend finding a local Gojek/Grab driver to take you to all the temples you wish to go to in the countryside.
