If all connections go smoothly, we will be arriving at Flamingo on a Sunday about 8:45 a.m. The Flamingo has long check-in lines at all times and is strict about no early check-in so I see no point in trying to check-in. It would seem to make more sense to just give the luggage to the bellman and go eat and come back hours later.
I've never used "two stops" with Uber and don't even recall seeing this option...do I need to fill out all information when I order the car or could I just tell the driver? I was thinking of having the driver stop for us to leave our luggage with the bellman and then have them drive us to the Palms for mimosa brunch buffet, which will only be about $65.00 for the two of us. We wouldn't mind taking the 202 back.
Any thoughts on this logistically? Or do you have better ideas near the Flamingo where we could get a delicious breakfast/brunch to start off our trip? We've been to Mon Ami Gabi twice and would like to try something different.
Arriving in Las Vegas hours before your Flamingo check-in is common, and your plan to drop luggage with the bellman and grab breakfast or brunch is a practical approach. The Flamingo bell desk is used to handling early arrivals, and they can securely hold your bags while you enjoy your morning.
Regarding Uber’s “two stops” option: you do need to input both stops in the app when ordering the ride. This allows the driver to plan the route efficiently and ensures you are charged appropriately. While you can verbally confirm with the driver, entering the stops in the app avoids confusion and ensures smooth logistics.
If you want to execute your plan of stopping at the Flamingo to leave luggage, then heading to the Palms for brunch, it should work fine. Just make sure the Uber driver is okay with the short stop at the hotel. After brunch, you can request an Uber back to the Flamingo, or simply walk if the route is comfortable, depending on how close the Palms is to your hotel.
Alternatively, if you prefer to stay closer to the Flamingo and reduce transit time, there are several excellent breakfast and brunch spots within walking distance on the Strip:
Choosing a nearby option saves time and allows you to enjoy a leisurely start without dealing with Uber logistics or extra travel. If you’re set on the Palms for the mimosa brunch experience, your plan with the two-stop Uber will work, but entering both stops in the app is strongly recommended for clarity and smoothness.
Finally, consider having the bellman tag your luggage clearly and provide an estimated pick-up time, so you can head back for check-in without any wait or confusion.
