Area 15

Is there anything in Vegas comparable to the brewery tour they had at Area 15 about 3 years ago? We really liked it, but I guess it's gone.

It sounds like you had a great time at the brewery tour at Area 15! While that particular event may no longer be running, there are still some fantastic brewery and immersive experiences in Las Vegas that you may enjoy. Here are a few alternatives that could give you a similar vibe of craft beer tasting and unique experiences:

1. The Neon Boneyard Brewery Tour

If you're looking for a brewery experience with a twist, The Neon Boneyard offers a guided tour of the famous Neon Museum, combined with craft beer tasting from local Las Vegas breweries. While not exclusively a brewery tour, it provides a fun, immersive way to experience the culture of Vegas while enjoying some great brews.

2. Las Vegas Brewery Tours

This is a guided brewery tour that takes you to some of the best craft breweries in Las Vegas. You can visit locations like Joseph James Brewing Co., Tenaya Creek Brewery, and CraftHaus Brewery, all while learning about the local beer scene. Tours typically include tastings, behind-the-scenes looks, and transportation, so you can enjoy a full afternoon or evening of craft beer exploration.

3. CraftHaus Brewery

CraftHaus Brewery, located just outside of downtown Las Vegas, is known for its excellent selection of craft beers. While it may not be a full tour experience like the one at Area 15, they often host events and have tasting tours where you can explore their brewing process and sample a wide variety of their unique beers.

4. Area 15 – New Experiences

While the brewery tour is no longer available, Area 15 still offers plenty of immersive and interactive experiences, such as Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, which is a highly creative and interactive art installation combined with a retail experience. While it’s not a brewery tour, it offers a unique, one-of-a-kind experience that you might enjoy.

5. HopDoddy Burger Bar (For Beer Lovers)

For a more casual experience, if you’re just looking for great craft beer and delicious food, HopDoddy in Las Vegas is a solid spot. They have a large selection of local beers on tap, paired with gourmet burgers. It’s not a tour, but it’s a great place to relax and enjoy local flavors with a good brew.

6. Las Vegas Distillery Tours

If you enjoy distilleries as much as breweries, Las Vegas has a few distilleries offering tours and tastings, such as the Las Vegas Distillery. While it’s not beer-focused, you’ll get to explore the art of distilling spirits in the area and try some local craft-made liquors. It’s an interesting alternative if you want to try something different from the usual brewery tour experience.

7. Red Rock Canyon Beer & Wine Tasting Tours

If you're looking to get out of the city for a scenic beer experience, consider a beer and wine tasting tour in the Red Rock Canyon area. These tours offer a combination of outdoor scenery, local beer, and sometimes even a meal or wine pairing. It's a great way to experience the natural beauty of Nevada while sampling local craft beers.

These experiences may not replicate the exact tour you enjoyed at Area 15, but they’ll give you the opportunity to explore the Las Vegas beer scene and discover unique, fun places to enjoy while in town.
