Oracle Park

Help me pick a section please!

Looking to go to a Giants/Phillies game when we are in town in July. We are baseball fans (with an enthusiastic 12 year old Phillies fan). So debating on being closer to the action vs taking in the great overall bay view. Kids also excited to experience the Coca Cola slide!

So where would you sit (for ideally under $75 seat). And does that change for a night vs a day game (debating on which game to go to).

Oracle Park offers a fantastic mix of great baseball action and beautiful bay views, so your choice really depends on what experience you prioritize—being close to the field or enjoying the scenery and family-friendly features.

For a 12-year-old Phillies fan who would enjoy the Coca Cola slide, you may want a balance between field action and kid-friendly fun. Seats near the left-field or right-field corners give good access to the slides while still allowing a nice view of the game.

Considering a budget of under $75, here are some solid options:

  • View Reserved sections (Lower Level, behind home plate or along the baselines): You get a good overall perspective of the field, close enough to see the action, and prices can sometimes fall under $75 if booked early or for weekday games.
  • Bleacher sections in right or left field: Great for kids who want to experience the Coca Cola slide. These areas are fun and lively, though you’re farther from home plate and some of the infield action.
  • View Level or Promenade Level seats: Typically under $75 and provide a full view of the park and the bay. Less immersive for field-level excitement but excellent for first-time visitors wanting the “big picture” of Oracle Park.

Other considerations:

  • Day vs. Night Games: Night games often have a more festive atmosphere with fireworks on special dates, but daytime games give better bay views and are cooler for kids who might be overwhelmed by the sun or hot weather.
  • Check for promotional days—sometimes there are discounted tickets or kids’ events that could make a premium section accessible within your budget.
  • Arrive early if you want to try the Coca Cola slide multiple times, as lines can get long in popular sections.

In summary, for a fun family experience under $75, consider the corner bleachers or lower reserved seats along the baselines. Prioritize the slide and kid-friendly areas over being right behind home plate, unless your main goal is being as close to the infield action as possible.
