Drink in a coconut??
We are bringing my 10 year old on a birthday trip to key largo and she really wants to drink a fun drink out of a coconut. Do you know anywhere near by that would have that on the menu and could make it non alcoholic? This is oddly specific request but it’s fun for a 10 year old!
That sounds like a fun and unique experience for your 10-year-old! Drinking out of a coconut is a classic tropical treat, and there are a few spots in Key Largo where you can get that kind of experience. Here are some recommendations where they may be able to serve coconut drinks (non-alcoholic) for your daughter:
- Alabama Jack's: This iconic, laid-back spot in Key Largo offers a tropical atmosphere with great food and drinks. They often serve drinks out of coconuts, and they’re happy to make a non-alcoholic version for kids. It's a fun, casual place with a great vibe for a family-friendly experience.
- The Islander Waterside Restaurant & Tiki Bar: Located in Key Largo, this waterside restaurant often serves drinks in coconuts and has a variety of tropical beverages. You can request a non-alcoholic version of their coconut drinks, and they’ll be happy to accommodate.

- The Key Largo Conch House: A local favorite for fresh seafood and tropical drinks, the Key Largo Conch House offers a variety of fun drinks. While their menu doesn’t explicitly mention coconut drinks, they can likely create one for you upon request. You can ask for a coconut drink with tropical juices for your daughter.
Most places that serve drinks out of coconuts will be more than happy to create a kid-friendly, non-alcoholic version. Just make sure to ask when ordering! It's a great way to celebrate her birthday with a fun and tropical experience!
