Anyone stayed at Niccolo in Chengdu

Have three nights booked at grand hyatt. Was thinking about adding a fourth night at Niccolo. Has anyone stayed here? How do these stack up against eachother? Is there another property I should look at which is in the same price range?

The Niccolo Chengdu is a relatively new luxury hotel in the city, part of the Niccolo brand under the Marco Polo Hotels group. It is located in the Jinjiang District, near Taikoo Li shopping and the city’s central business areas, offering a convenient and stylish base for both leisure and business travelers.

Comparing Niccolo Chengdu with Grand Hyatt Chengdu:

  • Grand Hyatt Chengdu: Located in the Tianfu Square area, it is more traditional in its luxury offering, with spacious rooms, large public areas, and a central city location. The hotel has a well-established reputation and is close to key landmarks, shopping, and transport hubs.
  • Niccolo Chengdu: Modern and minimalist in style, the rooms are sleek, and the service is highly rated. The hotel emphasizes design, comfort, and a premium urban experience. It is slightly closer to trendy shopping and dining areas like Taikoo Li and offers rooftop bar views.

Other properties in a similar price range worth considering:

  • The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu – central location, classic luxury, excellent facilities.
  • Four Seasons Chengdu – top-tier service, slightly more residential feel with a quiet, elegant design.
  • Shangri-La Chengdu – larger property, riverside views, good for families or business travelers.

In summary, if you’re looking for a more modern, stylish, and design-focused experience, Niccolo is an excellent choice for a fourth night. If you prefer traditional luxury and proximity to Tianfu Square, Grand Hyatt remains a strong option. The other hotels listed offer alternative luxury experiences with slightly different atmospheres and locations.
