2. When buying things at stalls in scenic spots, you should look first and then ask (look first, if you like it and it is suitable, then ask the price) to avoid unnecessary trouble;
3. When ordering food, read the menu carefully or ask the price in advance. Be careful not to be cheated out of 400 or 500 yuan for a signature dish that is not on the menu.
4. Hunan scenic spots advocate environmental protection and do not provide disposable items. You must prepare them in advance. If you find it troublesome, you can buy them locally.
5. Finally, bring some medicine for mosquito bites.

Disadvantages: There is no freedom and you cannot control your time.
2. Advantages of self-guided tours: You have complete freedom of time, attractions, and activities to choose from, allowing you to do whatever you want. Disadvantages: You have to worry about food, accommodation, transportation, shopping, and entertainment yourself, which can be tedious and can be a bit costly. You also need to do thorough research.
3. Advantages of independent travel: You don't have to worry about food, accommodation, transportation, tickets, and other tedious things, so you can enjoy your trip with peace of mind. It's flexible and free, with a wide range of options, including the option of having a guided tour. Disadvantages: Compared to group tours, the price is slightly higher.
Note: Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, there is no absolute good or bad, choose according to your own conditions. (Zhangjiajie is a mountainous area, and families with elderly and children are not recommended to take the self-guided tour mode)
