Just after the Gaokao (National College Entrance Examination) exam, the Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, a World Heritage Site, announced that it would offer free admission to all Gaokao (National College Entrance Examination) students from June 12 to September 12, 2018. This is reportedly the first time a well-known tourist attraction in China has offered free admission to Gaokao (National College Entrance Examination) students.
Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan is offering free admission to this year's Gaokao (National College Entrance Examination) students, including the Wulingyuan core scenic area, Huanglong Cave, and Baofeng Lake. Candidates who have just taken this year's Gaokao can present their admission ticket and ID card for free admission to the Wulingyuan core scenic area, a World Natural Heritage site (only insurance and an IC card processing fee of 8 yuan per person are required), as well as the world-famous Huanglong Cave and the stunning Baofeng Lake (only insurance is required).
Before visiting, you must first understand the relationship between these scenic spots!
If you look at the picture carefully, you will find that Wulingyuan Scenic Area is also known as Zhangjiajie Forest Park, a must-see scenic area in Zhangjiajie. The attractions in it include Forest Park, Golden Whip Stream, Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Ten-Li Gallery, etc. You only need to buy one ticket (a pass system, which allows you to visit all attractions in the scenic area, one ticket is valid for four days, and you can ride the eco-friendly car for free. Insurance is voluntary) to visit the above four major scenic areas. You can enter the scenic area from five ticket stations.
Northern cities: Guests from Beijing and Shenyang can choose to fly directly to Zhangjiajie; guests from Inner Mongolia, Jilin, and Heilongjiang regions need to fly directly to Changsha and then to Zhangjiajie; guests from Shenyang need to fly to Qingdao and then to Zhangjiajie.
Northwest direction: You can choose to fly to Xi'an. There are two flights a day and the ticket price is not expensive.
Directions from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai: You can choose direct flights from Shanghai to Zhangjiajie, which have many flights and favorable prices.
From Guangdong: You can take direct flights to Zhangjiajie from Guangzhou or Shenzhen. Chongqing and Chengdu also offer direct flights to Zhangjiajie.
Northeast direction: Harbin, Changchun, Shenyang, Dalian and other places can take K266, K1024, T18, T48, G218, G398, etc., and then transfer from Beijing to K967, K267, K473 trains to Zhangjiajie directly; or transfer to Changsha and go from Changsha to Zhangjiajie.
(Note: During the Golden Week, if you are buying return tickets for the above destinations, it is best to buy them in advance with a transfer in Changsha, as it will be difficult to get tickets in Zhangjiajie.)
Southeast direction: From Shanghai, Hangzhou and other places, you can take the K1373 or K807 trains to Zhangjiajie directly; friends in Nanchang, Jiangxi, can take the D-train to Changsha directly, and then transfer to a train or bus to Zhangjiajie.
Friends from Guangzhou and Shenzhen can take trains directly to Zhangjiajie; friends from Wuhan, Hubei can take train K967; friends from Guangxi can take train K748 to Zhangjiajie; friends from Changsha, Zhuzhou, Tanzhou and other areas in Hunan can take trains K9007, K1376, K810 and other trains directly to Zhangjiajie.

The total length of Zhanghua Expressway is 147.3 kilometers. It is located in northwestern Hunan Province. It starts from Yanghuping Town, Zhangjiajie City, passes through Yongshun County and Baojing County of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture and reaches Huayuan County. The main line adopts four lanes in both directions with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
Tips:
1. Zhangjiajie is a mountainous area, so it is suitable to wear hiking shoes and try to travel light. It is recommended to prepare some motion sickness medicine as the car has many bends.
2. When buying things at stalls in scenic spots, you should look first and then ask (look first, if you like it and it is suitable, then ask the price) to avoid unnecessary trouble;
3. When ordering food, read the menu carefully or ask the price in advance. Be careful not to be cheated out of 400 or 500 yuan for a signature dish that is not on the menu.

Chartered Car: From the airport to the park, it's approximately 100 yuan, and from Zhangjiajie Railway Station to the park, it's approximately 60 yuan. 3. Zhangjiajie Forest Park is vast and has numerous attractions. First-time visitors are advised to do some research and purchase a tourist map in the city, especially hand-drawn maps from inns. It's flexible and free, with a wide range of options, including the option of having a guided tour. Disadvantages: Compared to group tours, the price is slightly higher.

Tips: 1. There are luggage check-in services in many places in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area, which costs 20 yuan per piece. If it is inconvenient to travel with luggage, you can check it in directly to your accommodation at night, which is very convenient.
