This summer, I visited a unique attraction that quickly became popular on TikTok and captured the hearts of many thrill-seekers. It was thrilling and exciting, and my adrenaline was already stimulated. I was eager to try it out and made plans!
On the top of the mountain, a thousand meters above, there are stones in the forest, trees on the stones, and the trees and stones coexist. It is refreshing and pleasant. The beautiful cliff scenery makes your heart beat and move.
You can experience the thrill of soaring into the sky and screaming at the top of your lungs, or you can enjoy a leisurely and comfortable vacation, enjoying the mountains and rivers. It is very suitable for family trips, and everyone can find their own joy.

If you only want to enjoy the classic attractions, one day is enough, so you can choose to join a one-day tour. However, there are many attractions in the Ordovician Scenic Area, so it is worth spending two days to enjoy it.
The following is my own play order for your reference:
Day 1: West Gate Entrance - Horror Swing - Cliff Scream - Cliff Jumper - High-altitude Flying - Sky Corridor - Cloud Bridge - High-altitude Walk, Step by Step, Extreme Leap - Glass Suspension Bridge - High-altitude Swinging Bridge
Ximen Scenic Area is the one with the most highlights and the longest queues, so it is worth visiting on the first day.
Day 2: Main Gate Entrance - Water Extreme Challenge - 360-degree Pendulum - Rocket Bungee Jump - Jungle Flying - High-altitude Speed Skating Line 3 - Dinosaur Ice and Snow World

1. Tickets
The Ordovician Scenic Area implements off-season and peak-season ticketing. The off-season is from September to June of the following year, and the peak season is from July to August.
The scenic area has two types of tickets: one-day tour and two-day tour. Different prices are set for different groups of people in the off-season and peak season. The two-day tour ticket is 330 yuan in the off-season and 390 yuan in the peak season.
2. Opening hours
April to August: 8:30-21:00
September to March: 9:00-18:00
Ticket sales and admission will stop after 4:30 p.m. every day.
3. Diet
The Ordovician Scenic Area is well-equipped with several food courts. There's a food court under the Sky Corridor in the west area, and a food court next to the pirate ship in the middle gate area. Choose from a wide variety of Chongqing snacks, and if you choose a travel permit, you can go to the food court's buffet.
4. Transportation
(1) Public transportation: Take a bus from Sikmli Hub Station in Chongqing's main city, which costs 36 yuan to reach the station (approximately 1-2 hours). It takes about 1 hour from Wansheng District to Ordovician.
(2) Self-driving (recommended to save time): Start from Chongqing city - pass the Banan toll station on G75 - exit at Wansheng and arrive at Ordovician.
5. Tips for playing
(1) The road from the main city is quite winding, so those who are prone to motion sickness are advised to prepare in advance;
(2) Wear pants and sneakers if possible, and be careful not to expose your skirt;
(3) Sun protection is essential, as ultraviolet rays are relatively high in the mountains;
(4) You can book tickets in advance and pick them up on site, which is convenient and quick. If you buy tickets on site, there may be a queue.
(5) Check the weather before you go, because some attractions will not be open. If you go when the weather is bad, you will have a lot of regrets.
(6) If you are taking part in high-altitude or thrilling activities, please pay attention to the crowd and physical conditions.
Enter the park through the west gate and go directly to the horror swing. This is a must-see place in the Ordovician Scenic Area and is also the most popular high-altitude project on Douyin.
In order to meet the experience needs of different groups of people, there are two levels of high-altitude swings, 18 meters and 21 meters, and everyone can choose according to their own fighting ability.
Everything is ready. The moment the swing swings out, all worries and sorrows are thrown behind. It is as if you are blending with nature, closer to the distant mountains, and as if you are immersed naked in this ethereal sky, without any constraints, and go with the wind.

Using the principle of balance, the two groups of people, upper and lower, will never intersect. You go up and I go down, as if the seesaw was moved into the sky.
While returning to the innocent joy of childhood, you will also experience extreme screams. The equipment is built on the edge of a cliff, as high as an 8-story building, with huge steel arms. You can experience free 360-degree rotation in the air, weightlessness and falling. At this time, you can only scream.
There are plenty of bungee jumping machines, but the cliff jump is a refreshing experience. Built right on the cliff face, you're directly facing a sheer drop of several hundred meters. The most terrifying moment is when, during the rapid descent, the seat suddenly moves forward, as if it's about to hit the cliff face. Although it doesn't hit the cliff face, the sensation of being shattered into pieces is breathtaking – a unique gift bestowed by free fall.

High-altitude flying is recommended for couples, a thrilling activity right on the edge of a cliff. When the machine starts, hold on to your partner's hand and experience the beauty and excitement of high-altitude flying together. From dozens of meters high, you can take in the surrounding scenery at a glance, like a bird spreading its wings and soaring through the blue sky.

The world's longest glass corridor - the Sky Corridor. From a distance, the A-shaped corridor rises into the air, suspended on the cliff, extending outward for nearly 70 meters. It is made of fully transparent glass and is about 300 meters above the ground. It takes a certain amount of courage to set foot in the sky.

Looking from the side, the glass corridor is suspended by several ropes, and the children seem to be standing in the air. What they are playing with here is the heartbeat and the passion.
Sitting or standing on the glass corridor, with mist swirling under your feet and rows of rice fields in the distance, you can feel a slight tremor when you walk to the front of the "A" shape, as if the corridor is paying tribute to you and praising every warrior who dares to set foot here.

A visit to the Ordovician Skywalk is a must, as it's renowned both internationally and domestically. If you want to avoid a crowd, be sure to find a good angle when taking photos. Shooting the feet from above is a great vantage point, and it'll create a truly captivating experience.
Because the Ordovician Scenic Area is very popular now, the cliff swing and sky corridor are at the entrance of the west gate. If you don’t want to queue, it is recommended to come early.

If the Sky Corridor is too crowded, consider checking out the adjacent Cloud Corridor Bridge. The Cloud Corridor Bridge, while maintaining the scenic area's usual features, is made of glass. Once you get there, you'll find the scenery incredibly beautiful, quite different from the Sky Corridor.

The U-shaped corridor extends our footsteps beyond the ground. It is less stimulating than the sky corridor, but you can still enjoy the thrill of walking in the air.
A bridge built in the clouds, with a support in the mist, truly blends into the mountains. Breathe the air here gently and feel the gift of nature.

On a 300-meter cliff, there's first a high-altitude walk consisting of multiple metal steel beams with 10cm intervals, then the difficulty is increased by removing the guardrails and reducing the intervals to 30cm. After going through the first two levels, you arrive at the final boss level - Extreme Leap. The intervals vary from 0.8 to 2.5 meters, and it's no longer a matter of just crossing. Take a leap, and success or failure depends on this one jump.

Even though there is a safety rope tied around the waist, every step must be taken with caution. Unlike the glass floor of the sky corridor, if you miss a step on these three places, you will really be hanging in the air.
It is best not to bring any personal belongings when playing this project, or make sure you don’t fall, otherwise it will be extremely painful.

As the first fully transparent high-altitude glass suspension bridge in Southwest China, it's said to have frightened some people to tears. The 150-meter-long suspension bridge offers a unique perspective for appreciating the beauty of the karst landscape.
After walking on the glass suspension bridge, you can also walk on the high-altitude swinging bridge next to it. The swinging bridge here is not as violent as the glass suspension bridge. If you are really afraid of the glass suspension bridge, you can try it here. Here you can also stop and appreciate the beautiful scenery of the mountains.

Jungle Jump is dancing among the trees, the zip line is galloping in the sky, and the Water Extreme Park is a water carnival, which is very suitable for summer.
The extreme water park is divided into a relaxing area and an extreme challenge area. In the relaxing area, a bamboo raft trail is built on the water. When you walk briskly on it, water splashes on your face, which is very cool and suitable for parent-child experience.

The Extreme Challenge area is perfect for those who want to show off their skills while watching various water adventures. While there's no safety rope, there are safety nets underneath. Crossing wooden bridges and tires does require considerable stamina.

Sitting on the rotating pendulum, the power is pushed to the highest point, and the whole person is in an upside-down state. When the experience begins, you are not only falling, but also rotating.
My heartbeat raced through my chest as I swung back and forth. At the top of the 360-degree spin, I flipped headfirst, tumbling rapidly, feeling incredibly weightless. The moment I landed on flat ground, I felt like I was returning to Earth.

A small ball dangled from a string. Just looking at it was terrifying, floating back and forth. Reaching its highest point in an incredibly short time, gravity took over the rest. Spinning and leaping, I chose to keep my eyes open. It continued until I came to a stop, my body descending, but my soul still savoring the exhilaration of high speed.

If other projects challenge your psychological limits, then jungle jumping is indeed a challenge to your physical fitness and skills.
The scenic area has designed six jungle leap routes, varying in length and difficulty, including routes suitable for families. The various ways to navigate, such as zip lines, plum blossom piles, and ropes, are quite challenging. The one-way movement is unstoppable, making this place a love-hate attraction for many.

If you want to see the magnificent scenery of the Ordovician period, besides jumping into it, another good way is high-altitude speed skating.
There are five different speed skating routes, some hidden in the forest and some on the edge of a cliff. Each route offers different levels of excitement. Route 5 has the biggest drop of 64 meters. Younger children can choose Route 2, which has a less dramatic drop.

Take safety precautions and experience true speed and excitement. As you descend from the summit, the mountain wind whistles past your ears, like wings, soaring through the mountains and forests. Taking advantage of the height difference between the two peaks, in just a few minutes, you'll pass through the mist, taking in the panoramic views of strange rocks, unique trees, and streams.

While not considered a high-altitude or thrilling attraction, Dinosaur Ice and Snow World is a must-see attraction in the Ordovician Scenic Area because it's home to numerous large dinosaurs. The majestic dinosaur sculptures stand tall in the mountains, making it feel like a trip back to the paleontological era.

Here, you must experience the colorful meteor slide. The lawn is paved with colorful slides, just like sliding on sand. Slide down from a high place, hold the cushion tightly with both hands, and you can feel the friction between the cushion and the slide. This sense of reality is the essence of this game.

The Fantasy Ice Sculpture Kingdom in Ximen District is the main attraction in winter. It is an ice sports area with rich activities and is very suitable for family fun.

Pirate ships, frog jumps, space cars, self-controlled airplanes, carousels and other amusement equipment allow both babies and the elderly to have fun in the mountains and forests.
The Ice Cave, Stone Forest Maze, and General Guarding the City are all important parts of the Ordovician period.

The Ordovician Scenic Area boasts comprehensive amenities. Despite being nestled high in the mountains, the food is exceptional. Near the west gate is a Chongqing snack market, offering authentic Chongqing delicacies like the internet-famous Haoyoulai hot and sour noodles, Bafang fish eggs, Lai De Kuai, and Chongqing noodles, as well as a variety of grilled skewers and milk tea. With prices around 20-30 yuan per person, it's a great value.

There is a food street near the middle gate. If you have difficulty choosing among the many delicious foods, you might as well try the self-service hot pot for 58 yuan per person. The 5cm music restaurant bar here specializes in steak sets, which can meet the dietary needs of different groups of people.

The farmhouses and B&Bs around the Ordovician Scenic Area offer special farm dishes, and you can eat classic Chongqing Jianghu dishes such as roast chicken and pork intestines. The price per person is about 40 to 50 yuan, which is good value for money.
Yunshang Courtyard is located in the villa area of the Ordovician Scenic Area, very close to Ordovician Park. Leveraging the unique natural beauty of Heishan, the community offers an exceptional environment, with winding paths, fresh air, and surrounded by lush trees and vibrant flowers.

The interior decoration is mainly in a simple wooden style, fresh and natural, and very comfortable to live in. The large floor-to-ceiling windows allow sunlight to shine through the glass onto the bed and the courtyard above the clouds, starting a pleasant vacation time.

Two days in the Ordovician period were a dreamlike experience, floating in the air and leaping through the mountains and forests. It was pure joy, the ultimate bliss, a return to one's instincts, the release of one's true self. It was like returning to one's childhood self, the laughter and joy pure and undeniable.
In two days, we visited more than 40 projects of all sizes in the Ordovician. It was impossible to cover them all at once. We left some expectations and suspense, looking forward to the next arrival, when the more exciting Ordovician will bring us a more magical experience.
