Ni Ni said: "I have always wanted to take a set of photos related to nature," and then she came to this low-key little town.
LOFFICIEL's official Weibo account recently released a photoshoot featuring Ni Ni, the cover star of their June issue. The stunning combination of her stunning beauty and breathtaking scenery instantly captured countless screen time. Amidst a dreamy mist and rain, French fashion from the Seine blends with refined oriental sensibilities, creating a captivating and romantic effect.

After careful examination, Zheyoujun identified the stunning photo location—the Jinyun Xiandu Scenic Area in Lishui. Deep in the heart of southern Zhejiang, over a thousand years have quietly settled here. The wonders of nature and the chivalrous aspirations of scholars throughout history have endowed this place with a blend of strength and gentleness. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty once exclaimed, "This is the city where immortals gather!"

Known as the "City of Fairy Heroes", it is the Fairy Island in "The Legend of Sword and Fairy", the Everlasting Fairyland in "The Journey of Flower", the Taoist temple and the ten thousand-acre lotus pond in "The Taoist Goes Down the Mountain"... As a "regular" in more than 400 popular film and television dramas, every frame here is breathtakingly beautiful.

Not only is Jinyun's scenery captivating, but as the newly crowned "Hometown of Zhejiang Snacks," its cuisine is even more appetizing. Its long-table banquets, featuring a variety of traditional delicacies, were even filmed by CCTV. And Jinyun's native sesame cakes have even opened branches in Canada and Milan.
Today, let’s follow Ni Ni’s fashion photos and take a deeper look at the small town!
Jinyuncheck the details
Jinyun County, located in the southern hinterland of Zhejiang Province and northeastern Lishui Prefecture, boasts a vertical, three-dimensional climate characterized by "four seasons within one mountain, distinct weather in front of the mountain and different weather behind." It is a "revolutionary old district county" and the "hometown of Chinese mallard ducks." The county boasts the renowned Xiandu Scenic Area, featuring the Nine-Bend Lianxi River, the Ten-Mile Gallery, and the elegant landscapes shrouded in mist. It boasts the reputation of "the beauty of Guilin, the wonder of Huangshan, and the danger of Huashan." Among its highlights is Dinghu Peak, shaped like a bamboo shoot in spring, piercing the sky. It is the world's tallest pillar, earning the title "The Supreme Peak Under Heaven."

The underestimated city of immortals
When talking about Jinyun, one cannot help but mention the word "Xiandu". Jinyun Xiandu offers beautiful scenery in all seasons. Wandering through the exquisite mountains and rivers is like accidentally stumbling upon a secluded paradise of immortals, or diving into a secluded realm in the world of immortal heroes.

“To see the beauty of Jinyun, go to Xiandu; to see the beauty of Xiandu, go to Dinghu Peak.”
Before reaching Dinghu Peak, a stone pillar rises from the ground, piercing the sky. Its imposing presence is undeniable. This "world's tallest stone pillar," appearing and disappearing in the mist, evokes the beauty of Guilin's landscapes and the allure of Yandang's peaks.

The beauty of Dinghu Peak is so beautiful that it carries an air of chivalry and immortality, attracting countless popular film and television dramas to come here for filming: "The Emperor Wu of Han", "The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" (Zhang Jizhong version), "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer", "The Journey of Flower", "Legend of Nine Tails Fox", "The Return of the Condor Heroes"... Unlike those ancient film and television cities, Dinghu Peak is lined with immortal mountains. Isn't the ethereal fairyland in countless people's dreams right before your eyes?

Jinyun's ethereal aura dates back to ancient times. Legend has it that Emperor Xuanyuan refined elixir here and ascended to heaven. As early as the Xia, Shang, and Zhou dynasties, local people worshipped Dinghu Peak as their ancestor, the Yellow Emperor. Today, every Double Ninth Festival, the Yellow Emperor's Temple holds the solemn "Jinyun Xuanyuan Ceremony," a designation among the "third batch of national intangible cultural heritage."

The beauty of Zhutan Mountain embodies the essence of the entire Xiandu. Dinghu Peak stands majestically on the shore, while the graceful Dinghu Peak in the water sways gracefully with the waves. Shrouded in mist, it resembles a celestial palace, exuding a sense of simplicity and tranquility. It is recognized as one of the best photo spots in Dinghu Scenic Area, and countless celebrities have stopped here since ancient times.

The best time to visit Zhutan Mountain is early morning. Behind the curling morning mist lies a uniquely Chinese palette: ethereal ink paintings depict the mountain's aura and the graceful beauty of Dinghu Peak. Willow trees sway, a long bridge stretches across the landscape. Pausing at a small pavilion, gazing south, farmers cultivate the green fields, birds soar in the blue sky, and Xiandu's Dinghu Peak, sometimes appearing and disappearing through the mist.

A fairy-like embankment spans the lake, evoking the graceful charm of Jiangnan bridges and flowing water while also embodying the uninhibited, unrestrained spirit of Xiandu, making you a true spectacle in no time! Swirling mists conceal the delicate peaks behind, and leisurely strolling across the narrow cobblestone bridge, wearing a bamboo hat, feels like walking through the misty Jiangnan landscape, a romantic and sentimental experience.

To the east of Po-Xiu Rock, on the other side of Lian Creek, lies Xiao Chibi. This sheer cliff, like a screen, rises a hundred meters and overlooks a deep pool. The germanium-red and white rocks, tinged with white, resemble a blaze of fire, reminiscent of the Red Cliffs of the Yangtze River.

A natural plank road wedged halfway up the cliff face of Xiao Chibi is quite precipitous. While not particularly high, its position is perfect, offering a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery on the other side. I stumbled upon the four characters "Penglai Fairyland" carved into the rock face, feeling as if I had stumbled upon an immortal's retreat.

About two kilometers up Hao Creek from Dinghu Peak, you'll encounter a canyon with steep cliffs, resembling a sky-high alley or a lotus flower planted on the ground. This gorge is known as Furong Gorge. The cliffs are pitch black, and the entire mountain looks like a castle made of steel.

The further you go into the valley, the higher and steeper the cliffs become, and the narrower the valley becomes. At its narrowest point, only one person can pass through, creating a scene of "one man blocking the road, ten thousand men cannot pass through." On sunny days, the myriad of strange peaks and rocks are even more vividly colored under the sunlight; on rainy days, the sky is filled with mist and rain, and the mountains and rivers are hazy.

As an old tourist attraction, Zhaohou Temple has a history of thousands of years, but it has always been hidden in the deep and few people know about it. Until the summer of 2014, Chen Kaige directed a movie "The Taoist Goes Down the Mountain", which made this ancient Xiandu Temple famous overnight.

The Zhaohou Shrine, also known as the Zhaohou Temple and Wushanghou Temple, is one of the oldest temples in Jinyun Xiandu. It is dedicated to the Yuan Dynasty general Zhao Bing. At the entrance stands the Qinglong Rock, shaped like a dragon's mouth. To the west of the rock lies the Tiyun Cave, home to the ancient Long Pavilion from the Qin and Han dynasties. The Zhaoyin Cave and the Shenyi Cave house stone statues of eight divine doctors, who have blessed generations of people with health and happiness.

Facing Hao Creek and nestled against Yuejing Rock, Dufeng Academy boasts a small entrance. Lush trees cast their shade deep into the courtyard. This is the memorial site where Zhu Xi, the renowned Neo-Confucianist and philosopher of the Southern Song Dynasty, lectured. For over a century, the academy experienced several ups and downs, nearly becoming deserted. Now, Dufeng Academy has finally reopened its lecture halls, continuing its millennial Confucian legacy.

△Niweng Cave Triangle Pavilion
Niweng Cave, also known as Chuyang Valley, is located on Chuyang Mountain beside Lian Creek, west of Dinghu Peak. Legend has it that Ji Ni, a student of Laozi and teacher of Fan Li, a minister of the State of Yue, once lived in seclusion here out of disdain for worldly matters.

The cave is small, consisting of three holes, large and small, but it contains over 60 stone carvings by scholars from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republican and modern periods. It is the largest concentration of cliff carvings in Xiandu and has been designated a National Key Cultural Relic Protection Site. Walking through it feels like entering the back garden of a scholarly family, a truly breathtaking experience.

△Banbi Rock Grotto
Jinyun has been rich in tuff since ancient times. Formed from volcanic ash deposits, this rock, commonly known as "strip stone," is tough and resistant to weathering, making it ideal for building. Over millennia, this complex has been seamlessly shaped by human excavation and natural sculpting, resulting in a vast and diverse grotto complex. The grottoes in the walled rock where Ni Ni filmed her scenes are just the tip of the iceberg.
Conquer the world with a pancake
I've traveled to many cities, but for me, none is more captivating than the snacks of the small county town of Jinyun. This is a city brimming with aromas. The scent of sesame cakes, wontons, and pounded meat soup... Wherever you go, the aromas are palpable. It's a foodie's paradise.

Little Red Book @Huguangshi
Jinyun Shaobing (Shaobing) – The saying, "There are more Shaobing shops in Jinyun than rice shops," is no exaggeration. Shaobing and wontons are a local staple, so most Shaobing shops in Jinyun also sell wontons.
