Having said so much, which countries does the Middle East specifically include?
I guess many of my friends are not clear about this. Some people think it is a country in the Middle East Peninsula, and some people think it is a Muslim country...
In a broad sense, the Middle East refers to parts of the eastern and southern Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf coast; geographically speaking, the Middle East includes West Asia (except Afghanistan) and parts of North Africa (ie Egypt), which is a sub-region of Africa and Eurasia.
