Hello! I'm Yiyang, editor-in-chief of China-TravelNote. Last week, I took a four-day vacation in Dalian. The sun was scorching, the air was cool, the sky was clear, and the air was crisp. Northeast China's summer climate is truly delightful!

After enduring nearly a month of plum rain season in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai
, the season is about to end, seamlessly transitioning to high temperatures .
So, let our Northeast product manager,
Zhufeng, bring you a wave of cool breezes.
Changbai Mountain, the Greater Khingan Range, and the Lesser Khingan Range
act like three green barriers surrounding the Northeast Plain, shielding it from the heatwave. The high latitude and over 40% forest coverage combine to create the Northeast's legendary cool summer, with only 15 hot days.
Zhufeng, who has lived in the Northeast for over a decade, will explore the Northeast through a different lens: three mountain ranges, China's two poles, one highway, and four historical events, to unlock the Northeast's coolness.
Northeast China's highest mountain, the Three Rivers Source, and its active volcanoes are often associated with a sense of mystery. The elusive Tianchi Lake, along with the fascinating stories told by Nanpai Sanshu, fuels a sense of anticipation.
Unlike the bleak winters of ice and snow, summer here is like the Wizard of Oz, awakened by a 22°C mountain breeze. The tundra is blanketed in velvet, the forests ripple with emerald green, wildflowers in alpine gardens splash with color, and the millennia-old forests sip forth icy springs, immersing the area in a cool, refreshing breeze.
Circling up in an off-road vehicle, where the clouds and mist part, the breathtaking blue of Tianchi Lake emerges. Summer in Changbai Mountain belongs to the forests, and joy lies in these undisturbed secrets.
Follow the local guide into the verdant heart of Changbai Mountain's primeval forest, exploring winding paths and exploring the wild ginseng beneath the surface.
Head upstream to a gurgling stream, letting the coolness spread through your feet. Deep in the dense forest, smoke rises from a wilderness kitchen. Brew a pot of tea with mountain spring water and grill seasonal vegetables over charcoal. After savoring nature's gifts, experience the purest joy of the forest by ziplining, climbing trees, ziplining, and even fishing.
