07:45-08:00 Meet at the designated location of China-TravelNote and sign in. Depart at 08:00 sharp, enjoy onboard interaction and itinerary introductions, and have fun all the way!

11:00-12:00, arrive at [Anchang Ancient Town]

We slowly walked into this ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River. The ancient town was built along the river. The ancient streets, shops, houses, workshops, arcades, stone alleys, small stone bridges and other ancient features made us feel as if we had traveled back to the old times in the south of the Yangtze River.

Rich in folk customs, Shaoxing specialties can be found everywhere, including traditional handmade winemaking, the crisscrossing black-sailed boats, and the heavy piles of preserved meat hanging from door beams. During the Spring Festival, red lanterns hang high, and traditional New Year goods like sausages and pickled duck adorn the eaves, creating a festive atmosphere, reminiscent of the lively scene of "a thousand doors and windows, each brightly lit by the sun, replacing the old charms with new ones."

At noon, you can sample the local delicacies of the ancient town. After lunch, you can stroll along the old streets of the Ming and Qing dynasties to experience the local customs and culture of the ancient town. Alternatively, you can take a sail boat tour and admire the ancient buildings on both sides of the river reflected in the water, creating a Jiangnan water town scenery that resembles an ink painting.

Around 15:00, head to [Anchang Ancient Towpath]

The well-preserved stone pavement of the ancient towpath crosses Mirror Lake. Strolling along it in the evening, illuminated by the afterglow of the setting sun, you can almost hear the boatmen's calls, imagine their arduous journey carrying heavy loads on their shoulders, and feel the prosperous history of commerce.

Along the way, the shimmering Mirror Lake, the swaying reeds by the lake, and the distant green mountains are like dark green. The scenery is tranquil and beautiful, like a poem or a picture, as if you are in the artistic conception of "the setting sun and the solitary wild goose fly together, and the autumn water and the sky are the same color."

ps: In order to fully enjoy the scenery of the ancient towpath, we took the crossing line, and the flat roads reached before and after added up to a total walking distance of 2.5 kilometers (including the 1-kilometer lake section).

Around 16:30, we regrouped and boarded the bus to Shanghai

We arrived in Shanghai around 19:00, and we all said goodbye with tears in our eyes. We look forward to meeting again next time.

Driving time: Shanghai to Anchang Ancient Town, about 3 hours

Hiking: 2-3 kilometers round trip to the ancient town, 2-3 kilometers of ancient towpath

Note: You can bring some snacks for the return trip
