Huangshan, formerly known as Yishan and renamed Huangshan in the Tang Dynasty, now belongs to Huangshan City. The Huangshan Scenic Area, hailed as a national treasure and a wonder of the world, has become a symbol of the Chinese nation's magnificent landscape. The mountain range stretches for 250 kilometers, running northeast to southwest. Its dramatic terrain is breathtaking, with thousands of peaks competing for beauty and ravines crisscrossing. There are 77 peaks over a thousand meters high, 36 of which are majestic and steep, and 36 of which are subtly beautiful. The three main peaks, Lotus, Bright Summit, and Heavenly Capital, all rise above 1,800 meters. The five scenic areas of Hot Springs, Pine Valley, North Sea, Yuping, Cloud Valley, and White Cloud offer unique and captivating scenery. Huangshan combines the majesty of Mount Tai, the steepness of Mount Hua, the clouds of Mount Heng, the waterfalls of Mount Lu, the ingenious rocks of Yandang, and the beauty of Mount Emei. It is especially famous for its four unique features: "strange pines, strange rocks, sea of clouds, and hot springs". It is one of the first batch of national key scenic spots and a world-class tourist destination. In 1990, it was listed as a world-protected natural heritage of humanity by UNESCO and has become a treasure of all mankind!
