1. Why not find a large international cruise ship to operate this route?

Answer: China's current cruise ship technology is still in its infancy. Due to the particularity of Xisha tourism, foreign cruise ships are not allowed to take the Xisha route.

Due to the special nature of the small islands in the Xisha Islands, large cruise terminals cannot be built, and small boats must be used to reach the islands. Only roll-on/roll-off ships have the structure to carry small boats on large ships.

A: The pier is located at Phoenix Island International Pier, a very famous landmark in Sanya. It is below the Phoenix Island Hotel and is located in the city center. Buses and taxis are very convenient.

The Xisha Islands, one of the four major archipelagos in the South China Sea, are the southernmost tourist destination currently accessible to tourists, a place that is difficult to reach in China. It's even more difficult than Mount Everest—there are age restrictions, physical requirements, sailing restrictions, and weather restrictions. But once you can reach the islands, see the legendary glass sea and the seven-colored sea, walk on beaches untouched for ten thousand years, and breathe the pure air, nothing else matters.

Overview of Temperature and Climate of the Xisha Islands
Climate: Sansha City has a tropical marine monsoon climate. It is summer all year round, with the highest heat and temperature in the country, but due to the regulation of the ocean, there are few extreme heat waves. The hottest time in the Xisha Islands is from June to August each year, when the monthly average temperature is around 29°C; and from December to February each year is when the temperature in the Xisha Islands is relatively low, with the monthly average minimum temperature at 22°C.

The typhoon peak season is from July to October each year. The average annual rainfall is between 1,500 and 1,900 mm, but it is unevenly distributed in time. From December to May of the following year is a dry period, and from June to November is a rainy period, so there are only two seasons in a year, the former is the dry season and the latter is the wet season.
